For figure skating fans
Figure skating is one of my favorites to view. This is one of the best ever and I can watch it over and over. Thanks for sharing the link. My second favorite is the one that Barbara Underhill and Paul Martini won with.

Law & Order: SVU - Discussion Thread
I watched it and agree with you both. Great show and great acting. Of course, the subject is a fascinating one, but this actress was just so intriguing.

What Are You Listening To?
Apocalypto......directed by Mel Gibson. On the same wavelength of Breaveheart. Very brutal, heartpounding and high excitement. This movie was based on the last of the great empire of the Maya and the arrival of the Spainards. I gripped the arms of my chair, looked between fingers and closed eyes, grit teeth and marveled that life actually could have been that way and may even be that way in some areas of the world. Very interesting if not entertaining to me.

What Are You Listening To?
I watched a 2004 mini-series called 5ive Days to Midnight starring Timothy Hutton, Randy Quaid and Kari Matchett....now I know where I've seen Lisa in this Season of 24, she is Kari Matchett. It was a Sci-Fi Channel mini-series and a tale of a visit from the future, as a briefcase mysteriously appears for Timothy's character, a physics professor and his daughter. It is from approximately 50 years in the future and inside are articles and documents about his murder which will take place in five days. The whole story is how he tries to change his destiny. I enjoyed it even though it was hoakey LOL. Love Kari and Timothy with Gage Golightly as his daughter. Also there was a genius geeky nurd played by Hamish Linklater, who I really enjoyed.

April 17
I'm the little speck that flies around places of interest in Salem. I was on the wall at Sami and Lucas' when EJ bugged the apartment with video apparatus the way that Will had shown him. When he left, I just buzzed along around his head back to his apartment and hung around to see what he planned to do. Well, of course, it was apparent that he was going to hear Sami and Celeste's plot to murder him and how. He sat right there on the couch sipping his cognac, grinning that evil grin this human gets when he loves something. I know that he has a plan to thwart Sami and Celeste. Since I've lived a very long time (not an ordinary fly am I), it's almost easy to read his mind. I'd bet that he gets hold of a fire retardant reagent and the same balm that Sami will use on her lips, so that when she works her dastardly deed, he will pretend that she was successful even to setting him on fire. Now, I wager that as soon as she leaves, he will quickly douse out the fire, cleanse his mouth and laugh with glee at his joke on her, while his smiling that same grin. He will be quite pleased that she was that devious and that he was that lording it over her. Well, I'm bored so it's back to the wide open spaces to see what I can catch to spy on next.

What Are You Listening To?
I just finished watching the highly rated "The Good Shepherd". It was almost three hours long. I found it confusing and dull but interesing enough to stay with it. Disappointed though for all the reviews. The acting was good, but personally I didn't care for Matt Damon as the main character. He really made him dull. I have 300 in queue at Netflix and glad to read some positive reviews about it.

What Are You Listening To?
I watched The Illusionist and The Prestige this weekend. Both recommended movies. The Illusionist was pure enjoyment and left a happy feeling. The Prestige was much more conflicted, contorted, a tad dark. It left me wondering what happened so I will want to watch it again to tie up pieces, hopefully. Beautifully acted movie.

What Are You Listening To?
Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon AWESOME I just loved this movie. It is a Chinese female warrior fantasy movie and I was totally engrossed in it all. The action sequences, the flying sequences and the love stories were just fabulous. I cried at the end. I could watch it over and over and over. Thanks for the review of Black Dahlia as I will now remove it from my Netflix queue.

I just watched "Step Up" from Netflix. Loved it. A fun and neat movie. The last dance sequence is worth buying the DVD in my opinion. I surely will.

What Are You Listening To?
I watched the British mini-series of Dr. Zhivago with Keira Knightley as Laurissa. It was super. Dr. Zhivago is my most favorite movie ever and this one kept the same tone, the feelings the warmth, the whole nine-yards. Great. Keira was a teen when she made that series and played Lara from 15 to about 35. The director was giving her great reviews on how well she carried the part and I totally agree.

What Are You Listening To?
I watched Lucky Number Sleven and loved it. It's a bit weird like The Sixth Sense and doesn't really connect in plot but the acting is supurb and the story held my attention. I gave it five stars although 4 1/2 would have been more like it. Also, for the very first time ever, I watched a Janette Oakes story, Love Comes Softly, and it was so good that I want to buy the DVD. The sort of fairytale love that is simply endearing and pure. It got five stars from me, too and deserved ten in my view.

What Are You Listening To?
I watched Poseidon and really enjoyed it thinking it was going to be worse than it was. That is much better than expecting to enjoy a movie then being bored to tears by it. Then we watched Just My Luck which was so much fun. A frothy, delightful movie. Loved it.

What Are You Listening To?
Today I watched The Last Sumari with Tom Cruise. I think he was excellent in this movie and it reminded me of Braveheart and Gladiator somewhat. It was very good...I cried, then cried some more and then bawled at the end. Definitely a tissue movie.

What Are You Listening To?
I watched The Thirteenth Floor. It was fairly good for a sci-fi with a similar parallel world theme only this was a digital world. The actors were new to me and I loved Craig Bierko (woohoo), Gretchen Moi, Vincent DOnofrio and Dennis Haysbert had an excellent detective role in the film.

What Are You Listening To?
I watched Inside Man and Sweet Home Alabama. Very different sorts of movies. Inside Man starred Denzel Washington, whom I love. His character was a NYC detective and very well performed. Great character and one I learned to love. The story had a twist which is very fun and enjoyable. The story is slow to start the viewers involvement, but really pulls you along as it goes on. I loved it. Sweet Home Alabama starred Reese Witherspoon whom I also love. It was a fun, sweet and very playful story....enjoyable from start to finish.

We watched Eight Below tonight and LOVED it. Sad and sweet movie. I cried.

What Are You Listening To?
I watched the remake of Flight of the Phoenix with Dennis Quaid playing the James Stewart part. I rather enjoyed it, especially toward the end when it started coming together well. Then I watched Two Weeks Notice with Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant (Sandra Bullock produced this movie) and sort of enjoyed it. It's OK, just seemed like it was sort of stuck in a rut.

What Are You Listening To?
That's neat. I had thought about watching V for Vendetta, too. Some movies just have to be seen on the big screen to be appreciated properly....Spiderman series for instance.

What Are You Listening To?
Did you enjoy the movie? Our cheap movie is down to 50 cents...can you believe it and it shows the movies that just moved out of the high price theaters. How much is yours?

What Are You Listening To?
I just watched 16 Blocks with Bruce Willis and Mos Def. Bruce Willis plays a detective taking prisoner Mos Def 16 blocks to testify in court. Dirty cops want to take out Eddie Bunker (Mos Def) before he can expose them. It's very tense with excellent acting. I've not hated characters so much as some of these baddies. Willis and Def pulled me in and I loved their story together. Willis looks old and tired (his character) that it threw me off a bit. Jenna Stern plays his sister and is excellent in that role. Rating 1-10 I give this one 7 1/2.
