  1. Interesting seeing Danny vs Terry Lester Jack in that promo, I wonder if that's how it would have went down if he wasn't replaced with Bergman, Danny wanting to beat Jack up for being mean to Cricket LOL!

  2. Ahhh.... the infamous SOD covered that had all eyes (especially Terry Lester's) rolling at once LOL....

They all looked so manniquinni for some reason....

    Thanks again for the synopses!

    Danny dating Nina?!?.... Good lord

I love how John describes Michael Crawford as one of the most terrible people he has met, yet the actor is so stiff and bland when I see him on old episodes.

So i'm guessing this is the beginning of psycho David?

I kind of find it hard to believe that Brad would let himself be outnumbered by 2 henchmen.,.. When i read about that, In my mind I want to believe they are those freaky looking ones that almost have ghoulish faces they you see in any classic movies.

  3. I have never heard about the courtroom catfight, when was that? I would love to see it.

It was early 1995, Jill was going through an ugly divorce from John Abbott, as well as a custody battle with Billy. Katherine had told Jill that she was going to declare Jill a fit mother and made it seem like she was totally on Jill's side, however she was really going to tell the jury that Jill was unfit and shouldn't get custody of her child. Jill found out that Katherine had set her up and they fought each other outside the courtroom lobby.

  4. Thanks again for posting this stuff Carl.

It's great that they interviewed Melissa Morgan, I know that I uploaded a few episodes from 1990 that she was on, but I wish that more episodes of her were on youtube. I wonder what she is up to now? I had no idea that she and Jack were enemies, I'm sure that was fun to watch because of how Terry Lester was.

So i'm guessing that Brad/Ashley started because they were trying to make Traci jealous?

I still don't get why Nina was such a bitch to Esther when she had Esther work for her, i want to see that scene where Katherine makes Esther feel bad about her finding new people to replace her.

Michael Crawford and Leanna seems very contrived....How long did that last? I'm guessing that sparked the Jill/Leanna feud.

  5. Ughh... even though i'm grateful for whatever clips are still in there, I hate it when only the commercial breaks are uploaded.

I will try my best to see if this person can upload the full episode (I PM'd him on youtube) and I hope it does cause it looks like a great one!

I'm curious about those John and Jill scenes about Jessica, I had no idea that Jill knew that much about Jessica nor had slept with John during that time and was afraid that she got aids as well.

I'm surprised that Traci and Lauren had scenes around this time?

  6. I watched Jeanne Coopers emmy legends interview and apparently she said that Mickey Rooney was asked to play the role of Morey, that old man who was apart of the Katherine/Marge story that helped Lil the other woman keep Kay and Esther hostage (He was played by Morey Amsterdam) but Rooney thought the money they were offering him was nothing compared to other stuff he has done.

  7. Low volume.

Another user uploaded this same promo in better quality a few years back, but thanks for posting this on here. The only difference is that i'm sure the full episode from this date will be posted soon ( I Hope)

  8. Haven't posted much recently but I was fantasizing after getting my GL DVDs about what if Y&R was to release its own DVD set? I supposed in particular if Y&R was ever get released on DVD I'd love to see at least the following three:

    • Summer 1979 episode of which a back from the dead Katherine shatters through Jill's glass terrace doors in the middle of a storm.
    • 1986 episode where Victor let's Ashley have it for the abortion. In 2003 there was flashbacks of this and they stuck me as very powerful.
    • May/June 1994 episode which featured Heather's nightmare of April being found guilty and executed.

I actually just got some episodes from May/June 1994 (one of the episodes has that Lauren and Traci catfight in it, LOL) but that scene where Heather has the nightmare about April is not included. That storyline is feature on those episodes which was nice to see, and I'm glad to finally see Kay Alden's daughter as Heather, who was really good. I will try to post those episodes soon.

  9. I hadn't seen them either. I knew he could do comedy but hadn't seen him in any since the Mary Tyler Moore Show days. The first one is funnier, to me, but the second has that great cameo from Melody. It's hard to believe that was just ten years ago. Probably the last time I tolerated Victor.

Oh yeah.... totally forgot about that MTM appearance he did.

Was the first one ten years ago? That one looks very 90's for some reason.

I just think it's funny that Victor is portrayed weaker in these commercials than on the actual show, It's a nice thing to see, and you can tell Braeden is not phoning in.

  10. LOL these are hillarious! I have never seen these before. Eric Braeden is really good with the comedic parts here. I wasn't aware he could actually do comedy well.

I love the parts where he "bumps" his nose into the "camera" during the first one, and Nikki opening the door into his you know what on the second one haha.

  11. Carl, that was toward the very end of her run...

    Look what somebody finally uploaded!

I SO wish that this was the episode where Michael Corbett lost it in the winner's circle when "Things that are stiff" came up in the top box. My memory is a bit fuzzy, but I see, to remember him giving the clue "an excited man"... or something like that. they never used that category again.

Thanks for posting this alphaguy! I always enjoy seeing the soap stars compete on game shows especially the older episodes like this,

Wow, interesting combination of having Beth Maitland and Michael Corbett. Beth was actually a very good player, of course MTS is still the pyramid champ but she did very well during the last winner circle. Corbett was a little slow but hey it's a tough game.

I loved the "soap d jaur" question that was all about Y&R, but i was a little annoyed that didn't know the answers, i guess she hasn't seen Y&R. I was happy when they let them get more time, cause i really wanted to see what else they had in the category.

I liked Beth making the comparison between her and Traci when she said they both talk fast. Traci does do that ALOT on the show (or at least back then she did) and i'm not surprised Beth does it too.

That's funny about the Corbett "an excited man" line. I wanna see that episode too. (Not as badly as i wanna see the old Family feud Y&R episodes)

Corbett had to have been done playing David at this point. They shot like 4 weeks in advance, so he defintely wasn't reporting to work after he did pyramid.

  12. That episode was filled with SO MANY AMAZING performances!

Lauren really let Victor have it, and the best part is that he didn't do A THING.

Nina Arvesen is sooo gorgeous in this episode. I know she is supposed to be severely depressed, but she did such a good job, and she also told off Victor when he tried to touch her and she was like "No, just don't touch me!..."

and finally Christopher Templeton. No offense to the great Bill Bell, but how dare he not know what to write for this amazing actress, after this story was finished?.... This should have been the pint where they said "Wow...we need to keep her going", so i don't really get why they just let her be a background character.

Maria take note: That's "popping" off the screen.

  13. Out of curiosity. Does anyone know when Brad Bell took over as Head writer of B&B. I have heard 1994, but wonder about specific dates, at least which month it was.

It would be interesting how involved Bill Bell was after he handed over the writing duties to Brad, did he have story projections etc. I know he was a consultant and producer, but that can sometimes just be a title. Does anyone have any info on this?

I know it was spring 1993, but im just not sure which month. Could be anywhere from March-May of that year,

I honestly just wanna make myself believe that Bill was still writing the show till at least 1996-97. All of the stories that supposedly began with Bradley just seem to have his father's voice in it.
