  1. That's awesome that it's ratings increased. Usually shows (even popular ones) decline 20% on episode 2 and don't stabilize until episode 4 or 5. So happy to see the show a success, I bet FOX is even happier given the overall state of their network.

  2. More female love interests for Deniz? UGH that's so disappointing. They really should try him with another man. Like you said, Roman was his most popular pairing and he's never had chemistry with women.

It's funny you mention the B&B comparison. I don't get to watch all of AWZ, but it's always felt very similar to B&B except instead of set in fashion, it's sports/ice skating.

  3. Sad, but not surprised about VL being cancelled. Rumors of it's cancellation have been swirling for at least 3-4 years now and it's ratings have been declining. Do you know how much time they are going to be given to wrap things up or has production been immediately stopped? When US soaps are canceled they are usually given some time to wrap things up.

  4. Which is not at all what I said. If the ratings of a show is low enough, nothing else matters it will be canceled. If ratings are borderline (which Mindy Project is) other factors can help make it viable for another season.

  5. Glee has had bad ratings all season. It's not a new thing.

Only time people mention things like iTunes sales, international revenue is when ratings are bad. Yes, those can be factors, but they don't save shows. Ratings still matter the most and ultimate deciders of what gets renewed or not.

  6. It'd still be renewed even if it wasn't two years ago.

    That itunes money.

No it wouldn't. If nobody's watching the show, nobody's going to be buying the songs either. If FOX was happy with it's ratings, it would of been on the fall schedule and air all 22 episodes originally ordered for it's final seson. Instead, it's not on schedule and FOX wants to reduce the number of episodes, so they can end Glee as quickly as possible.

  7. I agree Huntress. I don't get to watch the whole show (only what people subtitle in English), but from what I do get to watch, there does seem to be several characters on AWZ that should go (glad you mentioned Katja, she has always felt like dead weight to me). Deniz, wasn't Roman his most popular pairing? If they aren't going to ever give him another male love interest, I feel instead of keeping him around they should have written him and Roman off together instead of killing Roman.

  8. So Ollie's new love interest starts out as his straight (for now) roommate, well if that's doesn't familiar to how Chrolli first met and got together. Is he a boxer too? lol Yeah that was a great story and I'm glad it sounds like Ollie's finally getting a new love interest, but come up with something new and original!

  9. Wow what a finale. Now that's the Revenge I fell in love with in season 1. While there was a lot of rewrites (Conrad's "there is no Initiative" line) I'm willing to play along if it means moving past this mess of a season. Lots of great cliff hangers. Let's hope with a new show runner next year, they've learned their lessons from season 2 and uses this great finale to launch a great season 3.

  10. I think SCOTUS is going to punt on Prop 8 and dismiss case or issue a very narrow ruling that strikes down Prop 8 but apply only to California. I'd love to be wrong and see them issue a broad ruling that says denying gays right to marry is unconstitutional, but I don't think SCOTUS is ready for that yet.

DOMA, I think SCOTUS will strike it down, but probably not under reasons of equality, but under reasons of states rights.

  11. I can buy the argument that Mitt never really wanted to be President. There is usually two types of presidential candidates. Those that have always wanted to be president, that have that instinct, or "fire in their belly" and passion to run, and those candidates which have never had any personal ambition to run and are talked into running for one reason or another. The candidates with the fire and passion nearly always win (and generally make better presidents). Now this could be a case of "you can't fire me I quit", that does seem like a Mitt Romney thing to do, but I never saw from any of Mitt's speeches the personal disire or ambition to be president. He always came across as someone doing it out of obligation.
