  1. How on earth can they say Romney has South Carolina, yet Obama has a HUGE lead there. O-o

Because of where the votes are coming from. They can tell who's going to win a state by seeing where in the state those votes came from.

CBS calls New Jersey for Obama.

  2. Brown is more popular in Ohio than Obama is, so even if Obama looses Ohio, Brown could still pull out the win. Brown's like 6 points ahead Mandel. I agree that Mandel was a terrible candidate for the Ohio GOP to choose.

The only race I'd ad to your list in the Virginia one. Not sure how close it still is, but Kaine should pull out the win over George Allen.

  3. Senate races are sometimes hard to guess. I think Dems will win enough to keep control of Senate though. The two close ones two I hope win the most are Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Jon Tester of Montana. I've met both and really great senators. I'd be sad if either lost and it looks like Tester could loose. sad.png

  4. As someone who's lived in Michigan my entire life, it irritates the [!@#$%^&*] out of me every time Mitt says he's a "son of Detroit" and that his dad ran a car company. Just cause you were born in Detroit Mitt, doesn't make you a son of Detroit. You've spent nearly you're entire adult life everywhere BUT Michigan. Many Michiganders fondly remember your father Mitt, but you haven't done [!@#$%^&*] for Michigan, so stop saying you're one of us, you're not.

  5. I think Romney crossed a line in regards to his comments about Obama's response to the Benghazi attack. Even if people don't like a president, they don't like when you disrespect them on foreign policy issues. There's a way to disagree with a president on foreign policy without being disrespectful. I don't think I have ever saw Obama as pissed as I did in that moment and his responses to Romney was perfect.

  6. While last season I was on Team Jack, I'm loving this new guy Aidan so far. Him and Emily make for a hot duo.

Declan is still a waste of space. How does he go from holding a bracelet for his buddy to breaking and entering? While Declan is stupid enough to leave his ID at the scene of the crime, I suspect his buddy set him up.

While I'm still enjoying this season so far, I'm not sure I like Emily (and the show) abandoning her original revenge plan for taking down the folks who framed her father for being obsessed with finding her mother. I hope she gets back to clearing her father's name. Hopefully the two stories will converge and this plot about her mother helps advance the original plan.

  7. This whole debate awful. I'm not sure either candidate came out a head, both I don't think performed well. I think the biggest headline will be that Mitt wants to kill Big Bird. LOL Twitter exploded when Mitt mentioned Big Bird. laugh.png

  8. So I don't know much about Canada's politics, but this caught my eye. Apparently their Liberal party will be having a leadership election and Justin Trudeau is going to run, if successful he could end up Prime Minister someday. I don't know much about the issues, but I looked him up. If that happened, Canada would have the hottest Prime Minister in the western world. laugh.pngwub.png

  9. I trust Nate Silver.

According to Nate Silver Obama is currently on track to win 308 electoral votes with a 76% chance of winning.

So do I. I love Nate Silver. He was the most accurate in 2008 and given he's a statistician, I think his model is the best and most unbiased.

  10. While I wasn't surprised it was upheld (although I did get worried at times), as was surprised how it was upheld. Upholding it under the congress's right to tax instead of commerce clause was a surprise and ironic given when Congress passed it they stressed it being a "penalty" and not a "tax". Also Roberts being the one to join the liberals in a 5-4 decision, this is the first time that's happened. He's joined them on 6-3 decisions, but that's only when Kennedy join the liberals as well, which Kennedy didn't this time. I wonder if Roberts expected Kennedy to join the liberals, cause I also heard Roberts is aware and concerned over how political these 5-4 decisions have become and wants the court to get back to having more 6-3, 7-2, etc rulings.

Looks like Medicaid expansion was upheld, but court said you can't take away all funds if a state doesn't opt in, you can only take away NEW funds. I'm curious as to how that effects the law, cause that gives states an opening to opt out of that part of the law.
