  1. I read that this was a temp swimming pool at Rod Laver Arena. How temporary was this pool? Is it readily available now? Did Serena go swimming after she won? I'm confused.

Yep it was only a Temp pool, was taken out after the swimming championships, not sure what they did with it exactly.

The centre court from memory was also used as a ice skating rink for Torvil & Dean years ago, and I have been to concerts there as well, one of them being Janet Jackson.

The other court that is covered was also a Basket Ball court and was also used for cycling championships.

Now that they are planning to also cover Margaret Court Arena I wonder if they will make that multi purpose as well.

  2. Yup...wish I was 17 again. Staying up till 2 am now isnt much fun when u have to get up for work early the next morning...lol.

I'm going to have to tape the Hewitt vs Baghdatis match. It will be on at 2 am here tonight but I am not staying up tonight...lol. It might well be another up all night match.laugh.gif

Oh to be at a age that I can do that. I remember getting home at 5.30 am after a night out and out the door again at 10.00 am for another night out (4 day weekends where I may have gotten about 16 hours sleep in total). Lucky if I can make it to midnight these days.

The Hewitt/Baghdatis match turned out to be a bit of a fizzer, left the room for about a minute during the 2nd set and come back to see Hewitt talking to Courier.

A little of topic and back to the "Hit for Haiti" they showed a bit of Rodrick during his part and he went up to a line judge and said "Are you really going to foot fault me during a charity match, you know that Serena is sitting just over there." Every one including Serena had a good laugh.

  3. LOL..and he is 17 and so young...why is he complaining. Its not like he doesnt party late at his age...lol

Juan Martin won and so did John Isner....yipeewub.gif

That is right 2.00 am is early for the kids that are out night clubbing.

I remember back in 2008 a match that didn't finish until nearly 5.00 am. And they are playing each other again tonight.Hewitt v Baghdatis.

  4. Juan Martin playing todaywub.gif and John Isnerwub.gif. Glad my Tommy won last night.wub.gif I stayed up till 2 am to watch the ending...lol

lol, I can see that you were able to stay up and not have a little cry about it. Unlike a certain a Aussie player that had to have a little whinge about playing until after 2.00 am.

When I heard that I was thinking, hmm you want to be a professional tennis player you need to take playing matches that will go to the early hours of the morning, if other players can do so can you.

AUSTRALIAN teenager Bernard Tomic went bravely out of the Australian Open last night then blasted organisers for scheduling him to play past his bedtime.

Tomic, 17, ranked 291 in the word, said the early morning finish of 2.10am may have cost him the chance to score an upset win over Croatia's Maran Cilic.

The 17-year-old pushed the world No.14 to the brink in a five-set marathon at Melbourne Park but said after 3 hours and 48 minutes on court fatigue caught up with him.

Tomic said it was "ridiculous" a player of his age was forced into that time-slot and a day fixture might have enabled him to reverse the gallant 6-7(6-8) 6-3 4-6 6-2 6-4 defeat.

"To finish at this time, it's tough. You know, look, I have no excuses, but I think if I'd have played during the day, which I requested, it could have been all changed. I think I should have won," Tomic said.

"But I'm proud of the way I played. It's difficult for me, I had the same problem last year.

"After 1am, 2am, for a 17-year-old to go out and play, it's difficult. For the people I requested to play during the day, and it didn't happen, I think it's ridiculous."

    Tomic's match started about 10.20pm.

He said in no other sport would competitors be forced to play at such an hour and quipped he would have to start booking in 2 a.m. practice sessions to prepare himself.

"Especially me, at my age, it's difficult," he said.

Tennis fans wary of the hype surrounding Tomic must now be believers after he went down 6-7 6-3 4-6 6-2 6-4 and pushed Cilic to the brink .

"I'm very tired," a relieved Cilic said before praising the efforts of his young Australian opponent.

"He's very uncomfortable to play, he serves good and hits a lot of flat balls. I think he is going to be a tough player to play (in the future)."

Former Open champion Jim Courier summed it up best in Channel Seven commentary when he said: "He is not the No.291 player in the world, not tonight.

"Tomic played the match of a top-20 player, something which many good judges say he will be sooner rather than later, showing great poise and nerve mixed in with some killer groundstrokes and a consistent serve.

All through the night the Gold Coast prodigy showed that he belonged in the pressure-cooker environment of Rod Laver Arena in the second round of a Grand Slam.

After being broken early in the match, the youngster fought back midway through the first set to get back on terms to force a tie-break.

With an unexpected shower changing the conditions on centre court and forcing the roof to be shut as play continued, Tomic kept his game together during the tie-break and it was two basic unforced errors by Cilic which handed the teenager the opening set after 67 minutes.

Tomic raced to a 3-1 lead in the second set before the big Croatian finally found his rhythm, reeling off five straight games to finish the set with an ace in just 33 minutes.

At that point everything pointed to the 198cm Cilic doing what he was expected to do given his status in the game and the fact he was coming off his best season of his career.

The 21-year-old made his first Grand Slam quarter-final at last year's US Open where he defeated Andy Murray and lost to eventual winner Juan Martin Del Potro. But Tomic is something special.

Instead he was the one who flicked the switch, racing to a 3-0 lead.

Cilic came back but was lucky to level proceedings at 4-4 after a Hawk Eye challenge denied the Australian the break of service he'd already begun celebrating.

Cilic wasn't as lucky with his next service game with a string of unforced errors - he had 13-4 for the third set - handing Tomic the set.

Unfortunately, it soon became obvious tiredness was infiltrating the young Australian early in the fourth. He sensibly decided to shut up shop, conserving energy for the fifth set which didn't begin until 1.15am.

The ploy worked with the deciding set an intense struggle in which Tomic held his own until he had his serve broken in the ninth game.

After that he had nothing to give with the petrol tank empty following the longest tennis match of his life. Cilic now plays 19th seed Stanislas Wawrinka in the third round.

I do think that if he had won he wouldn't have complained.

It wasn't the organiser's fault that there was a really great women's match on before hand that went over 2 hours and that his match was 5 sets.

If he want's to play with the big boys then he needs to grow up, or stay on the junior cuircut.

Will get off my soapbox now lol.

  5. Are you referring to the line judge or the umpire? I would be more interested in seeing her cross paths with the line judge, though I doubt we'll see her in Australia.

I guess it would be the line judge, the one that foot faulted her.

  6. The umpire that was at the end of Serena's outburst will be officating at the Australian open, will they cross paths?

She did umpire at the Medibank tournament in Sydney but weren't on the same court at the same time.

But I do have to say WTG Serena on her return comment to a reporter at a press conference when he asked her about how her anger management was going (or something to that effect) she asked him how his writing was going.

Who do you think will win the first Grand Slam event of the year.

On a lighter note Roger Federer organised a fund raiser for Haiti on Sunday.

    http://www.heraldsun.com.au/news/stars-into-charity-racquet-for-haiti/story-e6frf7jo-1225820534513

OZ OPEN fans had an early fix and helped raise more than $200,000 for the Haitian Earthquake appeal with a celebrity exhibition between the world's stars at Melbourne Park today.

Doors to Rod Laver Arena swung open a day early and visitors who had lined up from early morning packed into Melbourne Park.

The match had been hastily pulled together after World No. 1 Roger Federer convinced fellow players to stage a mock tennis tournament in aid of the stricken earthquake victims.

Rafael Nadal, Serena Williams, Lleyton Hewitt, Aussie Kim Clijsters, Novak Djokovic and Andy Roddick wowed the stadium with their microphone-amplified antics.

Former Australian Open champ and commentator Jim Courier as chair umpire added to the fun.

Fourteen thousand fans had flooded into centre court and hundreds more were happy to watch the action on the big screen in Garden Square.

Each was delighted to pay just $10 to see up to six of the most charismatic and certainly the best tennis talent in the world.

Another $20,000 was raised by tin shakers with Maria Sharapova also kicking in $10,000 of her own after learning of the exhibition fund-raiser.

Federer was delighted with the outcome, espcially given the logisitics of pulling the match together on virtually 24 hours notice.

He called players himself and the numbers grew. "I am happy it was such a wonderful event,'' he said.

The father of two said he had been touched of the plight of the tens of thousands of victims and had been following the story of tragedy on the other side of the world from Melbourne.

When the same players face off on court this week, it will be back to business.

But for Melbourne's tennis fans, it was a brilliant opportunity to see the stars of the game all on court together

Hmm I think this would have picked up anything that was said lol. (Wonder if her mother knows that she went snowboarding yet).

Home and Away star Todd Lasance charged with cocaine posession at Christmas bash

A LOGIE-award winning actor has been charged with possessing cocaine after police raided the Christmas party of popular soapie Home and Away.

Todd Lasance - who plays troubled widower Aden Jefferies on the Seven show - was allegedly caught by police in the toilets of Kings Cross nightclub Kit and Kaboodle at 11pm on Saturday.

The 24-year-old Silver Logie winner was arrested as part of Operation Unite, the police blitz on drunken violence and anti-social behaviour that saw 640 people charged.

The TV hearthrob is the latest cast member to fall from grace.

Former Summer Bay resident Jodi Gordon was shamed over a night out with a bikie this year and Lincoln Lewis left the series soon after it was revealed he had filmed an explicit sex video with a girlfriend on his mobile phone.

Lasance recently announced he was quitting the long-running soapie to try his luck in Hollywood, but any drug conviction could end his US ambitions.

Lasance finished filming his final scenes for Home and Away last Friday. Earlier on Saturday, Lasance and Gordon were among a big group of Seven staff who started the night at Strike Bowling at King St Wharf.

Lasance and other actors are then believed to have had dinner together before joining crew members at Kit and Kaboodle.

Gordon, who was seen at Kit and Kaboodle the night police found her cowering in the bedroom of bikie Mark Judge's home, did not attend the party.

Police with sniffer dogs were in the club when they saw a man near the rear of the club acting suspiciously before he went into the toilets.

They followed him into the toilets, where he appeared nervous.

The officers asked him if he had anything he should not have had and it is alleged that he eventually removed a small clear resealable bag containing white powder from a pocket.

The packet was seized by police and Lasance was given a notice to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on January 18.

Lasance's manager, David Sheridan, of Marquee Artists Management said his client "is not commenting (on the charges) and neither are we".

It is the actor's second brush with the law - police investigated a horror crash involving the young star that left an elderly woman in intensive care. Lasance was not charged over the collision in August last year.

A Channel 7 spokesman said the cast party was not "sanctioned" by the network.

Lasance this year came out in support of Gordon, claiming young actors were like any other young people and just wanted to have fun and a normal life.

  8. Bernard Curry hosted Beauty and the Geek Australia.

This last week got interesting, watched the season finale.

There is some people smuggling going on. Hugo is involved in a big way.

Martha got kidnapped by Hugo's wife.

Angelo let one of the suspect's escape, but has followed him and is now at the place where the people are being kept. He has also found Martha trapped in the boot.

Charlie and her fellow officer's were able to decipher a note and she is also there but in now trapped in the container that the people are in Hugo has seen her and it looks like he has hit her over the head.

Xaiver who had some sort of memory lose is remembering things.

  9. Lincoln Lewis is on this seasons DWTS down under (and there is a blind guy as well)

    Recent happenings on the show.

Trey put a bomb on a bus.

    The Doc had her baby.

Belle has cancer and only a short time to live.

    Belle and Aden have married.

Charlie and Angelo are together. Charlie has been hit by a car and the guy that was driving has something to do with Joey. (this only happened last night)

ETA - The guy that was driving the car was Joey's brother.

Angelo knows about her and Joey now and doesn't know what is going to happen with them and its not because she had a relationship with another woman it was because he felt like she couldn't share it with him and was keeping it a secret like she did with their relationship and is wondering what else she is keeping secret.

And it seem's like she is keeping a big one. From what was implied last night Charlie just may be Ruby's mother and not her sister.

Esther Anderson talks lesbian kissing on Home and Away

HOME and Away have sparked more controversy with their lesbian storyline. DO YOU THINK THEY'VE GONE TOO FAR? BLOG WITH COLIN VICKERY FROM 12:30pm TODAY (can't find a link for this at the moment but will see again when it is happening and post a link then.)

Esther Anderson must be shell-shocked. A few weeks ago she was talking excitedly about the Home and Away storyline that had policewoman Charlie Buckton discover she was gay.

JOIN COLIN VICKERY ON THE CONTROVERSY SPARKED BY THE HOME AND AWAY STORYLINE FROM TODAY AT 12:30pm (10.30 pm EST 8/7/09)

For Anderson, it was a welcome development -- one that stretched her as an actor and enriched Charlie who, until then, had been the stereotypical tough cop.

Instead the controversial scene sparked a free-for-all. There has been an angry reaction from some parents and conservative groups.

Talk that Channel 7 was about to edit last Tuesday's kiss between Buckton and deckhand Joey Collins (played by Kate Bell) infuriated lesbian groups who staged a protest at Federation Square.

Bevan Lee, Seven's head of creative drama and development, says two kisses were filmed and Seven decided to air the more gentle version. He says he's sad that ‘‘a beautiful six-week story has been reduced to a facile argument about six missing seconds of screentime''.

Now it is time for Anderson, the actor at the centre of this storm, to have her say.

How did you hear about the lesbian storyline for Charlie Buckton?

The producers asked me. It's a big storyline and requires commitment and it's emotional. They asked if I was OK with that. I said yes because it's great to have a meaty storyline, something you can explore and that helps you grow as an actor.

It shows a bit more of Charlie's vulnerability after seeing this hard cop all the time. She's not just this tough chick with no heart.

Did you discuss the storyline with any friends?

I talked to gay friends and asked people who weren't gay what they thought of it. I wanted to make it an accurate portrayal. I didn't want the gay population out there to say ‘‘that's just a load of crap''.

It's an interesting development for Home and Away.

It's amazing that it's still such a taboo subject in this day and age because it's everywhere. The gay population is growing. To me there's no difference -- love's love. The fact that your partner's the same sex is no different. The only difference is all that stigma society attaches to it.

The storyline explores all those issues of discrimination and stigma but it also shows it's a beautiful love story like any other romance on the show.

The gay community can be very vocal. What do you think their reaction will be?

Not everyone will agree because we're only telling one story. It's Charlie's story. We can't be accurate for everyone. That's where I found my acceptance with it.

Charlie isn't quite sure what to make of the attraction to Joey at first, is she?

Charlie gets a bit of a surprise within herself. In her mind, it's come from nowhere. After a while she thinks ‘‘it must have always been part of me''. In the beginning it throws her world upside down, it changes her whole identity.

What were your feelings leading up to the kiss?

Everything that ran through my mind I used when I did the scenes. I thought: ‘‘I have to tell my parents about this''. That's what you would be like if you were coming out. I understood the character in that sense of why it's still maybe tough for people to come out.

How did your parents react to the lesbian plotline?

They were wonderful. Mum said: ‘‘Well, you just throw yourself into it like you would with any relationship with one of the boys.'' I have a very supportive family and it made me realise that if I was gay in real life they'd love me.

What were the challenges for you in doing this storyline?

First, the workload. It's my first big storyline. I was working a lot more hours, a lot more scenes. And just emotionally -- I'd never been tested like that. As a heterosexual, how can I relate to that and make it real?

You really have to open yourself up emotionally.

It was really draining. When you have to do that, physically you actually feel the emotion. Your body's shaking. You think: ‘‘If I feel that, hopefully the audience will too''.

You and Kate also have to convince viewers there's a physical closeness between the two of you.

We talked about it a lot. She's lovely and we both had the same idea about the story and how we wanted it to come across. We were telling a love story and we wanted to treat it with the respect it deserves. I think we found the chemistry.

Home and Away has a lot of young viewers. Do you think they'll be OK with this storyline?

I think so. You learn pretty much everything at school. I don't think I'm lifting the lid on something they don't already know about.

Home and Away soap girls to smooch again

HOME and Away will feature a second lesbian kiss in defiance of outraged family groups.

The second kiss is part of the continuing romantic storyline between police woman Charlie Buckton, played by Esther Anderson, and deckhand Joey Collins, played by Katie Bell.

Parents and conservative groups have criticised the controversial relationship plot.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pics: Gay and lesbian star moments

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"There'll be another one in a few episodes' time," Bevan Lee, Channel 7's head of creative drama, told gay website Samesame. "I think that clearly shows Channel 7 is not backing away from these kinds of stories."

Last Tuesday's kiss episode had 1.194 million viewers, up 58,000 viewers.

Media analyst Steve Allen, of Fusion Strategy, said there had not been a backlash from advertisers.

"I wouldn't think anyone (advertisers) would think Home and Away was so controversial it would be embarrassing (to advertise in)," Allen said.

Lee, the creative force behind hit show Packed to the Rafters, has denied the lesbian storyline was designed to boost ratings.

"The thing that saddens me, as a gay writer, is that a beautiful six-week story has been reduced to a facile argument about six missing seconds of screen time," he told Samesame.

"What is a beautiful lesbian storyline has now been hijacked by interest groups, and it will now make it harder for us to do this in the future."

  12. Toups i disagree, i loved Christina's new military guy...I really hope he sticks around longterm...Also enjoyed Callie and Hahn and can't wait to watch their relationship progress...Also i think Bernadette Peters and the lady from Picket Fences did a great job..But there were bad parts...I still can't stand Merideth and Derek and i was cheering Christina on when she told Merideth to shut up...

Oh and the icicle bit totally ended up on Talk Soup...how funny is that..

Derek is ok, but I can't stand Meredith.

We just had the eppy, with Christina giving the solo surgery to Alex. I can't understand how the hell Meredith would think that she would get it.

  13. Woah, I just read that Jack's dead. What? :o Poor Martha. :( I gotta find those episodes now.

Wait till you see Tony after he finds out that Angelo was the one that shot Jack

I watch H&A on and off, hate that Master Chef is on at the same time and since I can only watch one channel as my cable goes through my VCR I can't tape one and watch the other.

Here are some things that you may or may not have already seen so I have put them in spoiler tags.

The Doc, can't remember her name at the moment thinks that Tony maybe having an affair with someone named Belinda. Me I think that he is talking and seeing Lucas who is using Belinda's cell phone.

Melody goes down to Melbourne (my home town), Miles and Charlie follow her down

Martha is meant to be going on a boat and goes missing this is after Angelo doesn't get charged with shooting Jack but I didn't see why. This will be her out, but I heard that she would be leaving the Bay for the lights of NYC

Nicole surprises Geoff with a getaway and they return to the island where they first made love. But there is some else there and he could be a killer.

Now I did see a bit yesterday and the guy did mention something about killing people and that he could still see the faces, which makes me think that maybe it was in some sort of war.

  14. I tried watching again a few weeks back and I found it utterly impossible. I didn't recognize half of the cast, and I just gave up.

Looks like H&A may do a lesiban storyline with Charlie and Joey

    http://www.news.com.au/heraldsun/story/0,2...5006022,00.html

HOME and Away is set to divide audiences when it introduces a lesbian romance at the end of this month. IS THIS TOO RISQUE FOR FAMILY VIEWING?

The Channel 7 soapie has tough policewoman Charlie Buckton falling in love with Joey Collins, played by Kate Bell, who works on a trawler.

They share a dance and a kiss, and over the following five weeks their relationship blossoms into love.

IS THIS TOO RISQUE FOR FAMILY VIEWING? VOTE IN OUR POLL BOX BELOW.

Conservative family groups have reacted angrily to the plot in the PG-rated show, which boasts a large child and teen fan base.

"They (Home and Away) continue to market to kids and they continue to develop quite sexualised plot lines," Pro-Family Perspectives director Angela Conway said.

"The plot lines that young kids and teenagers should be presented with should be about really authentic relationships that are not just sexualised."

Actor Esther Anderson, who plays Charlie Buckton, talked to gay friends in the lead-up to filming.

Anderson said kissing another girl "wasn't that big a deal", and young viewers would accept the scenes.

"You learn pretty much everything at school," she said. "I don't think it's like I'm lifting the lid on something they don't already know about.

"To me there's no difference - love's love. The fact that your partner's the same sex is no different. You just want to be loved."

In 2004, Channel 10 soapie Neighbours was attacked by talkback callers and conservative groups when it featured a lesbian kiss between schoolgirls Lana Crawford (Bridget Neval) and Sky Mangel (Stephanie McIntosh).

Mark McCraith, of media communications company MindShare, said some advertisers would be nervous with the lesbian storyline.

"It depends on how it is handled. If it is educational, that's fine," he said.

"If it's handled in a way that is exploitative or sensationalised, some advertisers will be wary, especially those aiming at families and mothers."

Psychologist Dr Janet Hall has praised the lesbian love plot, saying it allows families to discuss the topic.

"Young audiences are basically aware of the whole gay thing anyway. All it's doing is reflecting society," she said.

"It sounds like it is being treated with sensitivity, and this is great for all."

    Shaking my head.

So it is ok for shows to have teenage pregnancie's, kid's hooked on drugs and selling them, alcoholism and not cause a stir, but the moment a gay storyline is put on the table then moral groups are up in arms.

  15. I haven't kept up with Home And Away since early 2007 with the aftermath of Sally's stabbing. However, I did download Kate Ritchie's last month worth of episodes or so. I still can't believe she's gone, she was the heart of that show for so many years IMO.

Has her absence left a bit of a hole in the show? I know Home And Away like many other soaps has increasingly become more and more youth oriented over the years, but Sally was always a vital part of everything right through it all.

Anyway, was it ever explained if Cassie's kid had the HIV virus as well? I know Cassie left with Sally and was still pregnant at the time, but was it addressed before/after they left?

Sally rang Miles (I think it was) off camera to let them know that Cassie had a girl and that the baby was free of the HIV virus.

    I haven't watched H&A in a while!

Is the show missing Kate Ritchie?

I think that Sally is missed every now and then.

Viewers got to see a lot with Sally seeing her grow up on the show (don't see that all that much with any soap) and all her firsts.

  16. Since I last posted, my opinion has changed. Not really that into the show atm. In fact I'm back to missing episodes again. Way to newbie-centric for my liking - 80% of the cast are new, and all within the space of several months. I haven't been keeping up with Oz spoilers, so this is mostly UK pace.

After Sam's murderer was revealed to have been herself, Jack and Martha got back together. After a rough period persuading everyone that they were meant-to-be, Martha discovered she's pregnant - cue, who's the daddy? Roman knows he's a candidate, but Jack doesn't.

It turns out that Roman's the papa. How surprising - not!

Tony proposes to Rachel, and she excepted. She wants to start a family, but it turns out that Tony, had the snip, sometime after Beth's death (when the hell did he fit that in?), and he can't have it reversed, due to complications of some sort. Another childless relationship for Rachel, then.

After her plot to break-up Rachel/Tony was revealed, as well as a frank talk with Rachel, Jazz decided to take stock of her life, and leave town to reconnect with Drew.

Gavin, the jerk newspaper editor, tried to have, The Den, shut down, as part of some revenge attempt against Belle, for quitting her photo journalism job, by insulting him. He failed. Leah and Miles tried to fight their attraction to one another.

Miles tracked down a kid, he'd befriended in Phuket, who he'd promised to look after. Jai was reluctant at first, but decided to come and stay with Miles, in Summer Bay House. He struck up a friendship with Maddie, due to her perfume reminding him of his Mum.

Noel blackmailed Ric, into partaking in under-ground bare-knuckle-fighting. Viv's unborn bayb, which was Ric's, was at stake. Ric came up against an old member of Johnny's gang. Viv's baby was diagnosed with a disability, she tried to flee, but Noel, caught her. Ric managed to scrape with his life, but Viv lost the baby, while Noel faked his death to escape his debts, as well as the cops. Maddie organized a sweet memorial for the baby. Ric got a job as a security guard, working with Aden's dad, Larry. During an armed robbery (Kane), Larry was shot, and Ric was injured. He's now suffering from post-traumatic stress.

Geoff and Melody became the new, Romeo & Juliet. After Nicole's bet to snag him for herself failed, Christine (Melody's Mum) plotted to keep them apart (uber catholic, everything's a sin, etc), first by taking on Miles, and his chosen reading material, which basically put the kids to sleep, than corrupt; then by issuing a restraining order against, Geoff. It was at Nicole's (Roman's teenage daughter) party, which was gate crashed by Axel's mates, that saw Axel try to seduce Melody, even though she said no.

Belle and Aden started to draw closer. Their flirtation nearly boiled over into something more. He's still dealing with his grandfather's abuse, and is feeling betrayed by his father. Larry swore his was off the grog, but during the night of the armed robbery, in which he got shot, he'd been drinking, which has caused complications. I've probably left heaps out. But this is the gist of where we are. It's all a bit boring, really.

I loved Jazz, and Rachel Gordon, who played her. Simply stunning. I thought it was her Neighbours, role as faux-Dr. Charlotte Stone, which was completely different to her Blue Heelers Character? Maybe I'm mistaken, but it come before Jazz...

I can't get into Martha's story, at all. It's all been there, done that, bought the rehashed t-shirt. I know that it's "new" for H&A, but it's not even been 2 years, since the exact same story was done on Neighbours. And even if they leave out the sectioning part, it'll still feel too much the same, IMO.

I haven't watched neighbours in years.

Rachel Gordon played a Detective in the last couple of seasons of Blue Heelers and was sexually abused by her uncle. She was tough and could mix it up with the best of them.

  17. so I figured I'd download the last week's episodes and checkout whats happening in the bay (what with how great their last olympic cliffhanger was), anyway .... did they get rid of the Summer bay Diner?

They had an earthquake (I think it was) some time back and the Diner was destoryed.

Roman and (for the life of me I can't remember her name right now) opened a Diner/Drop in centre in an old boat shed. I know that it has Dan's name in it in memory of Dan
