  1. OK, I gotta ask. ewcbo? (I'm guessing a LnL fan, but can someone enlighten me?)

Great article. I never got to see The City, so I had no idea our girl played so prominently. I mean, I've seen the promo from when she left GH to go there, but I've never seen clips of the show or anything.

And speaking of clips, does anyone know where I can pick up some early LuNacy clips, circa 2005-2006? I've seen what halee has posted on YT (Tracy and Luke get drunk & hitched and the fallout afterwards, and the whole kidnapping & Coleman things), but I'm really wanting to see the day-to-day stuff, especially when Lulu gets SORAS'd and the whole Markham Islands thing and right afterward. Some of them are available via Favorite-Moments.net, but it's a needle in a haystick there and I don't know what key dates to look for. Any suggestions?

(Looking for the fights just as much as the sweet stuff. Because seriously, the chemistry? It just sizzles when they're trying to one-up the other.)

  2. I have to agree that while I think Genie Francis is a consummate pro, what we were seeing was the result of four fantastic actors with great chemistry together giving us a show of what we SHOULD see day to day on GH and just don't these days. It's one of the reasons people love the Q scenes so much - throw in that may talented veteran actors and you're going to see something special compared to the ongoing over-emoting that happens with a lot of the GH actors (Maurice Bernard, I'm looking at you).

That said, Jane Elliot doesn't need Genie Francis to raise her game - the woman can create acting chemistry with a lamppost.

FYI, SOAPnet is about to show the Wednesday 11/19 and Friday 11/21 eps (with the fantastic Tracy/Luke breakup scene and the one where he comes to the Q mansion to grovel). They usually show the current week's worth of episodes on Sunday, but this time we get this week's 3 eps along with Wed-Thurs-Fri eps from last week.

Also, did you guys see they're going to be showing classic GH Christmas eps on Dec. 25 (8 to 11 p.m. EST)? Looks like it's the Christmas eps from 1996, 1998 and 2004.

(Edited to say "four fantastic actors." Because seriously, Kin Shriner does NOT get enough props for managing to carry forth the junk they give him to play out. It was great seeing him in the mix with something more to do than snarl at the younger GH set.)

  3. Welcome to Lovefest Stargazer! *Hey you aren't Eams(?) over at youtube are you? Somebody by that name has been watching and posting away for the past several days on all the Luke & Tracy clips I posted over there.

Nope, I'm stargazercmc over there, too. I have seen your clips, though, and they are fantastic. I mostly lurk on YouTube because it's connected to RL friends who don't quite get fandom or soap opera appreciation. But I should probably get better about commenting more often. In fact, consider this the beginning of righting that wrong. I love your clips, and thank you for posting them. :)

BTW I had stopped watching GH a long time ago as well and it was Luke & Tracy via youtube that got me sucked back in a little over a year ago now!

    Happy Sunday!

Tracy's fabulous, no? I was watching when she returned in '89 and I've just loved her ever since. And thanks for the welcome (from everyone)!

  4. Hello, everybody! I've been waiting what seems like forever to get my approval to post, and it looks like I finally have it.

I'm a big time Quartermaine fan. I adore Tracy and Luke (an insanely great idea that just keeps getting more and more fun as time passes), and I'm a huge fan of Alan and Monica as well. I watch GH online mostly since I work during the day, but I also have SoapNet so I occasionally pick it up there.

I first started watching GH back in 1989. I watched it until around 1991 (my exit coincided with Katherine Delafield's), then didn't watch soaps again until last May when I stumbled across clips on YouTube. Since then, I've been devouring the awesome storylines of the 90s (and fell in love with Alan and Monica along the way). When I stumbled across Tracy and Luke together, it sucked me back into GH. Brilliant pairing. Just brilliant, and I can't figure out why no one thought to go there before TG and JE pushed for it. Don't really follow any other soaps these days, but back in the day, I was also a fan of AMC and, for a short while, GL.

So enough babbling from me, but I just wanted to introduce myself. :)

    (Edited to correct a typo.)
