    And now, the finale of...

    THE WORLD OF OAKDALE
    TWOO Opening

NOTE: This episode is extra long, but well worth it. Enjoy.
Barbara, Will, and Gwen arrive to the party. Barbara is irked to even be coming (because of Dana), but knows Grant through a former business venture. Will questions Gwen as to why she's been so pissy, and Gwen chuckles that it must be the harmones or something. Will places his hand on her stomach. "Just think, this baby will be such a blessing", he says. Gwen turns away and Will asks what's wrong. Gwen breaks down, saying that she's afraid she'll lose this baby, too. Will tells her to cheer up. It's obivous that God is giving them a second chance. Besides, she was young. She didn't know how to handle pregnancy the first time around. Gwen echoes that she still doesn't know how to handle pregnancy. Barbara overhears and vows to help Gwen. Gwen is taken back by Barbara's nurturing attitude. Will pays no attention to his mother, though, and assures Gwen that they'll learn how to handle it all. Together.

Maddie hugs Henry so tight that he begins squirming. "Okay, okay, I think I've gotten enough hugs to last me for a lifetime", he says. Maddie apologizes, saying that she's just so happy that he finally came to his senses about that walking piranha Katie. Henry takes offense and tells his sister that she needs to shut her mouth about Katie. He knows she's hurt alot of people, but he seems to be the only one that understands Katie's logic. Luke takes a break from the dance floor and asks Maddie to dance with him. On the dance floor, they bump into Gwen and Will. After the song, Gwen and Maddie take a seat and recall all the hard times they've faced in the past year. Jason's name comes up and Maddie notices Gwen tense up. Gwen tells Maddie to leave that particular issue in the past. Just as Will walks up, Maddie blurts out that she can't just leave it in the past. "Jason told me that the only reason that you guys split was because you stole all of his stuff, left a note apologizing for it, and then left without a sound. I want to know why you would do something like that", Maddie pleads. "Yeah. Tell us, Gwen", Will demands.

Simon continues to stalk Mike and Katie. He vows to find Katie and explain the whole mess with Pilar. He never intended for it to go that far, he says. He never meant to hurt Katie or Mike and he's been going crazy over it for the past year and a half or so. Jack comes out of the party and notices a man fleeing around the corner of the building. Jack calls in to security and says that it looks suspicious and for their guys to take a look at it. Once he goes back inside, Simon returns and stares at Katie dancing with Mike through the window. Katie catches a glance of him, deafly mutters "Simon"?, and then faints.

Out beside the elevators, Kim demands to know Chris tell them what happened at Windy Falls. Chris tries lunging for Ben, but Bob holds him back, demanding for his son to get under control. Through tears, Chris tells them that he did a horrible thing. When he first got the job, every thing was going great. He was happy with his job and glad to get away from all the drama back home. Soon, he met an old woman named "Mrs. Adams". She had an incurable cancer that stemmed from her legs and soon, took control over her whole body. Though bed ridden and endlessly exhausted, Mrs. Adams had this love for life, this inner strength that kept her going. She had a humor like no other, but he could tell that she was crippled emotionally. Her family was non-existent. Her son died in Iraq and her daughter died in a car accident at the age of 16. She was old and frail and pretty soon, her love for life started to diminish. Ben, Bob, Kim, and Nancy all look on as an emotionally distraught Chris tries to finish the rest of the story. He says that one day, he walked in and she wasn't in her bed. She was on the ledge of the hospital. Chris drug her back in, but for a week straight, she kept crawling out on the ledge. Chris finally stayed with her one night to ensure that she wouldn't crawl out again. In the middle of the night, Mrs. Adams called his attention. She tearfully begged him to let her go. Let her die. She begged him to let her go and be with her son and daughter. Let her live by dying. Chris screams with tears, "So I did it! I did it! I pulled the plug. I lied to my superiors. I watched her as she struggled for breath!! And........I......I wanted her to LIVE!! I wanted her to quit suffering!! Oohhh.....ooohhh!! What did I do??!!!" Everyone is either near tears or wiping them away. Chris turns and sees Nancy look at him with emotion pouring from her face. "Grandma, I never...", he cries. "Don't touch me!", Nancy barks. As Kim goes off to comfort a noticeably torn Nancy, Ben and Bob take turns comforting Chris.

Lily grabs a glass of soda from the bar and starts to head back to her seat. She's cut off by Craig. "Have you accepted my offer? Or am I going to need to tell Holden everything?", Craig says with a smirk. Lily asks Craig why is he doing this. Why is he treating her like he treats everyone else. She says that she seemed to be the only one in her family that didn't have a persistent hatred for him. She was there for him. He was there for her. What changed? Craig insists that he's just doing what's best for Worldwide. Lily asks if Craig thinks that he's what's best for Worldwide. Crag thinks he is, but Lily changes the subject, saying that she's already told Holden. Craig laughs and says she's just bluffing. Holden walks up and Craig invites him to join them. "Has your wife told you that she has something to tell you yet?", Craig asks Holden, all the while locking eyes with a panicked Lily. "No. What do you have to tell me?", Holden asks.

Lucinda overhears the commotion and decides now is the best time to confront Craig. Lucinda steps up and knocks Craig a big one. She questions his sanity, thinking that he can just come in and take her company. "How dare you?" she bellows. Craig looks at Lily and tells her that she's bitten off more than she can chew. Lily's forced to just stand by as Craig tells Holden that one night, on his way home, he went by the Wagon Wheel. He wanted to check up on Katie and Mike was his only way to find out, since he didn't want to confuse Katie and Lyla seemed to be tied up with Katie and he didn't want to bother her. Holden demands Craig go ahead and cut to the chase. Holden stands horrified, shocked, disgusted as Craig informs him that when he peeked inside the room...whom did he see? But Lily and Mike locking lips. Holden starts to leap for Craig, but Lily holds him back. "Honey, don't. It's all true. I kissed Mike", Lily cries. Craig looks on with a wicked gleam in his eye.

Margo and Tom arrive and inform Lisa that Casey is doing fine. They finally found out that he had pneumonia and some virus but they were able to treat it. Lisa is ecstatic as Tom tells her that Casey should be coming home in a few weeks with Adam and Abigail. Margo left something in the car and goes outside to get it. To her surprise, the mystery woman approaches her. "Leah!!", she chuckles. "I have not seen you in ages! What brings you to Oakdale?" Margo listens intently as Leah explains that she needs her help. Her husband Edward was involved in an illegal gambling ring. When she tried to intervene, Edward's debtors came calling and killed him in cold blood. She weeps that she doesn't remember a thing except for them coming in and telling her that if she didn't stay out of it, she'd be next. The next thing she remembers is when she woke up and she was lying next to a dead Edward with a gun in her hand. A tearful Leah begs Margo to help her. As Margo takes her old friends into her arms, Leah crumbles.

Back inside, Mike is finally able to wake Katie up without causing a scene. Katie says that she saw Simon and Mike fears that her memory troubles are returning. Katie pleads with Mike to listen to her. She wasn't dreaming. She knows what she saw. Simon is back.

Andy and Emily try to enjoy a nice, romantic night at home but their electricity goes out, promopting them to go to the party and have some fun while the wait for the lights to come back on. Emily is less than happy to see most of her enemies there. Lisa, Roxie, Barbara... Andy encourages her to just relax and have a good time. Emily tells Andy that as long as she gets to spend the rest of her life with him, she'll have plenty of good times. Emily notices Andy's eyes wander towards John and Roxe in the corner in a heated argument. Emily turns Andy's face back towards her and tells him not to even think about it. Whatever scheme those two are plotting, Andy and Emily will back it through. Andy can't help but think that he had finally gotten through to her about John.

Roxie corners John. "What did you mean by that Roxie?" he insists. "You know exactly what I'm talking about, Doc." Roxie turns to leave. "Just as I thought! Another one of your bluffs. After all this time you still don't know how to play with the big boys." John says very smugly. Furious, Roxie whirls back around and comes face to face with John. "Edith Gardner. Does that name mean anything to you, John?" Roxie says. John looks very worried at first. Then, he just tries to play it off. Roxie smirks at being able to make John sweat. "I like you like this. All ancey. On the edge of your seat. It kind of turns me on", Roxie teases. "Why are you doing this? Don't you have anything better to do? Like screwing Chris Hughes?", John retorts.

Roxie starts to slap John but retsrains herself. "I'm just trying to return the favor", Roxie says as she playfully fiddles with John's tie. "Are you still mad because I didn't help you extract revenge on Barbara and Gwen?", John questions. Roxie pays him no mind as she continues talking. "Johnny boy, I don't wanta even flatter you by telling you that I spent an hour of my precious time sweeping the internet to get the dish on ya. You see...I know something about you. Could blow you outh of the water. BUT!...I'm not hasty like some."

John wonders aloud, "What do you want?" Roxie replies with such delight that she's shaken Dr. Dixon to his very core. "Funny you should ask. I didn't think you'd care. Well...let me just put it out there for ya...Roxie needs some brand new duds and you're going to help her get them. And if not, I'll be sure you wish you never returned to this God forsaken town to begin with. Got it?" Roxie smiles as she walks off, leaving an anxious John behind.

Kim finally coaxes Nancy into riding home with her. The two ladies leave.

Everyone, minus a few, watches as Lisa whole-heartedly sings "Happy Birthday".

A seven foot high cake comes rolling out.

Laughter erupts throughout the room as Grant blushes.

All the laughter and singing is soon cut short, though, when Dana pops out of the cake with a gun in hand!

Milly, Grant, Lisa, and Emma tremble in fear. Screams abound and people fall to the floor, ducking the bullets that might fly. Milly stands up and asks her daughter what the hell she's doing. Dana replies that she's doing something nobody else in this town seemed to have the balls to do. Dana takes aim at Lisa, Emma, and Grant. It's obvious Dana is not in her right mind. She steps off the platform that the cake was on. Dana commands her father's attention and tells him that she knew what was going on all along. A very bothered Grant asks Dana to put the gun down. Instead, Dana waves the gun in front on Grant's forehead.

Just then, Milly crawls over and grabs her purse. She looks inside, but no gun is in there. "She has my gun!", Milly thinks to herself. Emma notices Milly freaking out and looks over in her purse and sees her pistol is still in there. She truthfully recalls putting it in there as a means of protection and because she really did kill a snake with it the other day.

Dana asks them all to join her on stage. Lisa, Emma, Milly, and Grant all fearfully climb on stage as Dana paces in front of them. Quite chatter flows through the room as hotel security flood the now-padlocked room. Dana chuckles that she's glad she had a chance to lock the doors in case anybody tried doing anything stupid like calling the cops. She hollers for the audience to shut up!

Grant pleads with his daughter to just put the gun down and let Daddy take care of everything. Dana snarls that Grant is the whole reason she's doing this. She dangles her gun in front of Lisa and Emma. "I figured one of them would have knocked you off by now, but I guess they were too 'hypnotized by your charm'!" Emma keeps looking inside of her purse.

Dana asks if they all want to know what this is about. Some wise guy pipes up for the pscyho to just them all go. Dana, infuriated, turns and shoots him in the leg. Howls erupt from the man and sreams from the audience. As people scramble to further themselves from the stage, Dana taunts Milly, Grant, Lisa, and Emma. Dana notices Gwen and Barbara in the audience and asks them to join her on stage. The two women have no choice but to oblige.

Emma asks Dana to talk to her. Tell her what's going on. Dana slaps Emma and tells her not to talk to her like some psychologically demented witch. Dana recalls how Milly booted her and Grant out of the house because Grant quit paying her hush money. "Alimony my ass", she laughs. Dana looks at Barbara and Gwen and says "1997. Baltiomore. You wanta know why I was so intent on that file? Because it had the name of the whore model that my father had sex with! At that very same fashion show."

"All my life, my parents were madly in love. But then when I was only 14, they divorced. I had no clue why. They were so in love. Weren't you?" Dana says as she aims her gun towards her parents. "But in 1997, my parents decided to go to a fashion show. While Daddy went backstage to talk with Barbara, he decided to drop by and see his favorite model of the night. Alexandra Bridges. Wasn't that her name, Daddy? But something went wrong. Didn't it? Answer me!! Didn't something go wrong?!?!"

Grant slightly mutters a yes. "Yeah, thats right" Dana says. Alexandra found out that she was playing midnight footsies with the governor of Indiana and threatened to expose his cheating ways if he didn't fork over some cash. So what did the coward do? He killed her!! And then dumped the body into the river. But it doesn't stop there, does it?!"

"Daddy decided that he should cover it up. Who does he pick to help him? HIS WIFE!! My mother!! And people wonder why she's crazy today!" Dana muttered. "Hey! I resent that stateme..", Milly attempted to say. "Quiet, mother!" Dana ordered. "It's because of you, Daddy, that Mother went to the psych ward. She was so tormented and scarred by what you put her through. And then you expect for her to just go back to loving you?? No. It's not like that. It's also because you felt the walls closing in. That's why you moved here. You didn't just want to help Carly and Jack get Emma's farm back. You ruined one happy home...ours....so you decided to see how many you could manage to obliterate in Oakdale!!"

As Dana talks, Lisa and Emma formulate a plan. Emma catches Jack's attention and hands the gun to Lisa, who hands it down to Jessica, who hands it to Maddie, who hands it to Mike, who hands it to Jack. Jack stands up and Dana turns her attention to him. She's shocked when she sees Jack has a gun and points the gun towards Grant. "Looks like we're both going down", Dana says. "I loved you Daddy. I really did". And with that, two shots are fired into Grant's chest. Almost in the middle of the second shot, Jack shoots Dana.

As the two bloody corpses fall on the stage, screams and cries echo through the room.

Fade out on that scene and move through the Hughes home.

A picture of Jeff and Penny stands upright on the mantle. A picture of Ryder stands on the coffee table. Pictures seem to be everywhere. The camera goes to the couch where a box full of picture lies. Each picture chronicles a time in Oakdale history. Damian, Jennifer and Barbara, Hal, Betsy, Aaron and Alison, Frannie and Sabrina, Conner Walsh, Cal, the pictures never end.

As the camera pans up the stairs and into Nancy's room....we see Nancy lying in bed. We can hear Kim talking to someone about all the chaos at the party. Kim asks if everyone is okay. Nancy grabs a photo from her nightstand. It's an old photo of Chris, her husband. As she cries, she holds the photo to her chest.

(In a scene remembrant of the first scene on ATWT....)

"Goodnight dear", Nancy says as she drifts off into a peaceful slumber.

    Fade out.

    THE WORLD OF OAKDALE
    TWOO Opening

Holden walks into the living room, still reeling from the news that Lily told him about Lucinda last night. Lily comes in and says that she forgot his gift at the office last night and runs out to go get it. Luke comes home and Holden thinks that Luke's come home to talk, but in all reality, he just came to get his present for Maddie. Luke leaves and Holden wonders how he'll ever get through to his son. Later, Lily arrives home and the two sip hot cocoa and watch their favorite soap Life In Oakdale. "Ya know, sometimes I feel like I, myself, live in a soap opera. Life has been very complicated for us. That's no understatement. But you know what? I wouldn't trade it for the world. Beacuse I know at the end of the day, I can come home and snuggle next to you and our children", Lily exclaims. Just then, Lily breaks a smile and grabs Holden's hands. As she places them on her stomach, he lets out an excited gasp of air. He can feel the baby kick!

Bob and Kim try to enjoy a romantic day at the house. Kim teases Nancy about her next door neighbor over at the apartments. Bob tries to enjoy the day, but he just can't. His day is brightened, however, when Frannie and Sabrina call and wish them a Happy Valentine's Day. Kim and Bob return to the living room, while Nancy sits at the table reading From These Roots, a novel based on the history on the infamous soap opera.

Chris roams the streets of Oakdale, looking for the perfect last minute present for his mom and grandmom. Roxie rounds the corner and shopping bags from the department store King's go flying. Roxie breaks down in tears, saying that she absolutely hates this holiday! Chris offers her help and notices her as John Dixon's girlfriend and the same girl that slept with his brother. Roxie claims to know nothing, saying she must have a twin, and runs off. Chris stands in amazement, knowing deep down that Roxie is all he wants.

Lisa comes by Tom and Margo's to bring Daniel a gigantic teddy bear. Lisa talks briefly about Grant and says that she and Emma aren't attending his birthday party.

Mike stands alone in the Oakdale Mini-Mall. He sees a present that Katie pointed out last year that she wanted for this year. Mike, emotions rumbling, kicks the snow in frustration.

Grant comes home and finds Millicent making herself comfy on the couch. Grant asks what the hell she thinks she's doing and she scolds Grant, saying that her show, Salem Lives, is about to go off. When it does, Millicent asks what he wants and Grant laughs, saying she's the one who came to see him. "Oh yes. I almost forgot there for a second. How terribly shameful of me. I came to collect the money you owe me", Millicent replied coldly. Grant replies that it meant nothing to him. "She was just a ....", he tries to continue, but Dana walks in the room.

Jack sips on a mud of hot cocoa at Emma's. Emma pats him on the shoulder and slides into the next room. Just then, the phone rings. He picks it up and it's Carly on the other end. In a rare moment, we see Carly on the other end of the phone. The tears on her face drip down and fall on the phone. She smiles, mouthing the words "Happy Valentine's Day, G-Man". The camera turns back and close in on Jack's face. His smile is untouched when tears roll gently down his cheek.

Ben and Jessica try their best to celebrate, but Ben gets called away at the hospital. Later, Ben comes home. He turns off The Stories, which is just going off, and snuggles into bed next to Jessica. He promises her that one day, their lives will settle down.

Craig sits all alone in his suite. He stares at an old family photo and calls in room service. As he sips from hsi wine glass, he wonders if he should listen to Lily and forget all about it or make Lucinda pay for what she tried to do. He turns on the TV and scrolls through until he finds Return to Santa Barbara. Once he watches for a little, he falls asleep. As the camera pans above Craig, we see that he's sleeping beside the family photo he was just holding.

Luke leaves Maddie's present on her doorstep. After he leaves, Maddie comes outside and reads the card: "As the days go by, I think a little piece inside of me dies every time you avoid me. I'm sorry. Forever and always. -Luke- "

Gwen comes out of the bathroom and is obviously not feeling well. While Will is out getting the present he's been hiding at his mom's house, Gwen decides that she needs to do something about this sick feeling she has and walks out. Later, she returns. After seeing Will still isn't back, she closes the bathroom door. A few minutes later, Gwen looks down at a pregnancy test. "No, it can't be", she mutters. "I can't be pregnant." As she looks up, she sees Will in the doorway with a huge smile on his face and the biggest Valentine's present you've ever seen.

Lyla notices Katie's depressed mood and offers to take her to Al's for a bite to eat. Lyla address Katie's amnesia and says something similar once happened on The Guiding Light. Katie scoffs at her mother and tells her that this isn't a soap opera! As a waiter brings them their food, Katie begins seeing a couple dancing and singing in the restaurant. It's obviously another one of her memory flashes. Katie stops dead in her tracks. As she recalls dancing and singing with Mike at this very diner on Valentine's Day a few years back, all the memories from the past year or two all hit Katie once. Katie collapses to the floor in pain and agony. Her head throbs. Lyla lunges to her feet.

    ------------------------------

Lyla pats Katie's head with a warm, most toilette and tells Katie that she had quite a fall. Lyla has a gleam in her eye. It's obvious that she knows what just happened. Katie yells, "I remember!! It was Mike. Mike was the snow angels. Mike was the man I was singing and dancing with. It was Mike! I remember now! Mama, I remember!"

Minutes later, Mike walks beside Java. It's so cold, but he just doesn't feel like facing people. What if he sees a blode haired girl? It'll just remind him of Katie. "Crap. See?! I just thought of her", exclaims Mike. Just then, he turns and sees Katie running towards him. Tears stream down her face. At first Mike thumps himself on the head. "Maybe I caught something", he thinks. Katie leaps into his arms. As time slows, we see a beautiful montage of Mike and Katie. They kiss and kiss and kiss. Time comes back. Time they thought was lost forever. Their time. No one else's. And all is right in the world. As the montage ends, we see a nude Mike gently lay a nude Katie down on a red satin bed sheet and the two make sweet, passionate, neverending love.

Sorry for the delay, guys. I just didn't get as much of a respomse as what I had hoped for. If I used part of your synopses, congratulations! If not, it's nothing personal, I promise. I would also like to take this time to thank everyone who has shown support and intrigue for this blog for the past year. I have truly had such a great time writing this and I really would not be able to continue on if it weren't for you. Thank you!!

Emma steps down from the stage and Grant asks her to help him go back to the house and get Lisa's present. While fiddling with the door, it becomes jammed and both become trapped inside.

Andy is surprised to see Emily at the engagement party. He begs for her forgiveness but she goes on about how she opened up to him. She tells him how she actually trusted him and he's made a total fool of her. After all the trouble she's had with men over the years, she thought she'd finally found someone she could depend on. But sleeping with Roxie erases all of that for her. She returns his ring, leaving Andy speechless, Kim grinning, and Susan giving Kim the look of death. Meanwhile, John fakes sick with Roxie to allow him to leave the party without Roxie throwing a fit about how he isn't holding up his end of their agreement.

Lisa gets worried when Grant turns up missing during the Engagement Party and even more stressed when Holden claims Emma has disappeared. Meanwhile, Grant & Emma end up locked in the room together and cannot deny their feelings. While Tom, Margo, Lisa, Nancy, Holden, Lily, Barbara, Jack, and Carly all look for them. Jack finally finds the tricky door and Lisa is humiliated when they all together find Emma & Grant adjusting their clothes. Just when it seems like Lisa is going to go after Emma, she surprisingly attacks Grant instead. Nancy suggests they all get a hold of themselves while Lisa spews insults at Grant. Emma backs Grant up when he says nothing happened, though both know otherwise. Grant presents Lisa with her engagement present, but she throws it back at him and leaves the party in a rage.

Lucinda reminds Lily that she has always hated business things and resisted her attempts to lure Lily in to her world. She should be thankful her husband is taking an interest in the company. Holden overhears and tells Lily that he's finally doing something that he never thought he could do. He asks for Lily's support and she agrees. Lily tries to relax and enjoy the party with her husband. However, Lucinda gets an emergency phone call and pulls Holden away to deal with it. Jack and Carly try to keep her entertained, but she ends up blowing up at them, then leaving in a huff.

Margo continues to wonder if her little brother has truly changed and Lyla tells Margo to look at Craig through the eyes of a sister and not the eyes of a hardened cop.

Mike checks in to the Lakeview, then hits the bar. Lily appears at the Lakeview bar, and starts commiserating with Mike. She gets one of the staff to help her help Mike to his room. Once they're alone, Mike confides that he has no hope of reuniting with Katie. Lily impulsively kisses him, and Mike doesn't object.

Jason recalls how he came home one night and found out from a friend that Gwen had been there earlier looking for him and to pick something up she had left behind. When he went back to his room, almost everything of substantial value had been stolen and Gwen had left a note saying how sorry she was and how she hated to do this to him. He never heard anything from her after that. Maddie just stands there in disbelief.

Meanwhile, Barbara appears at Will and Gwen's table and asks Will to give her and Gwen some alone time. Once alone, Barbara tells a shocked Gwen that Insteenct is on its last leg and asks Gwen's thoughts on just cutting ties with the company, all the while slightly insinuating to Gwen that this has all been her fault. She encourages Gwen to do so or B.R.O. will suffer right along with it. Gwen agrees.

As the party draws to a close and everyone goes home, Lucinda wonders where Lily is at. At the same time, Lily is returning home, immediately guilt stricken about her kiss with Mike. Mike, meanwhile, is dreaming of what life would have been like if he and Katie had just eloped like they once considered, but his dream is cut short when Lily appears to him in a very revealing outfit (obviously another dream) and in the dream, the two begin to make love.

A mysterious woman lurks outside the party and spies Grant and Emma talking. The woman takes off her shawl and heads right for Grant. Grant turns and is shocked to see....his daughter!!

'THE WORLD OF OAKDALE' STOPS TURNING!
    by Jack Rabette

After almost 16 months of being on SONBC, The World Of Oakdale will no longer be turning come Friday, March 2nd. The day will not only be the show's final episode, but will also be their 300th episode.

"I'm just tired. And as much as I hate to end it, it's just something that has to be done", says Executive Producer/Headwriter Dusty Alford. "I'm ecstatic that we've gotten to be on the 'air' so long. I just want to thank the fans for all their support."

So where will Alford go now? And what exactly can we look for in the cliffhanger. Well, Alford isn't exactly sure of what he's doing next. "I've actually been throwing around a couple of fan fics in my head," says Alford. "One option would be to do a soap revolving around all the kids in Oakdale right now all grown up...amd set it in like 2021 or something. And the next option would be just to start over fom an episode that the show airs like I did with 'The World of Oakdale' ".

As for the finale, Alford says you can expect plenty of bone chilling, edge of your seats scenes with a handful of romance and comedy and good ole fashioned soap opera drama. "Lots of reveals, explanations, and an explosive confrontation that will end with death", promises Alford. "It's going to be good. 'The World' might be coming to an end. But I'm going to make damn sure the fans are on the edges of their seats when it does."

Chris is shocked to see that Emily is with his half brother and calls her on it. Andy stands up for his love with Emily and Kim tells Andy to keep it down. Andy, in a once-in-a-lifetime scene, shouts that he could yell it from the rooftops! He's so in love with Emily Stewart!! Emily blushes and even tells Andy to quit making such a big deal out of it. Nancy thinks that Andy has a really romantic heart and later, shares a private conversation with him...during which she hands him something. Andy stand son top of the dinner table, in the middle of the turkey, dressing, cranberries...and tells the room of the way that he and Emily met all those years ago. Andy tells Emily that he would have never guessed in a million years that he would fall for her..but he did..head over heels. Andy jumps off the table and gets on one knee. While music from Rascal Flatts's "God Bless The Broken Road" cues up, Andy asks Emily if she will marry him. Kim faints. Roxie rolls her eyes and she and John quickly realize that they have their work cut out for them. A montage of Andy and Emily starts playing, but is soon interrupted when...

Panzico demands that Lyla hand over the money to make up for the big diamond heist he had planned that Lyla squealed about. When Lyla refuses, he tightens his grip on Katie and threatens her life again. Lyla lunges for Panzico and Katie breaks free. Just as Panzico raises up his gun, Katie take off running to step in front of Lyla. Panzico fires his gun as Jack tackles him from the side. Mike runs for Katie. Katie trips on the root of a tree buried in the ground and goes flying, eventually landing and hitting her head on the exact same branch. Katie lies unconcious as Mike tearfully begs Katie to come back to him. Though she's not, Mike starts to think that Katie's dead and screams "NNNOOOO!!!".

Out on a split screen of Jack arresting Panzico, Margo and Lyla clutched together in tears and fear, and Mike with an unconcious Katie.

The fall-out from the shooting sends shockwaves through Oakdale. Emma becomes a walking zombie, blaming herself and Jack & Carly for bringing Grant to Oakdale. Lisa tries to help her friend cope, but finds that she too is having trouble with it all. Grant's lawyer reads the will (which he informs them Grant made changes to right before he died) and notifies Emma and Lisa that his whole estate, money, and everything is to be split between the two. While Lisa tucks her money away, Emma gives hers all to chairty, sparing just enough to live off of. Emma's still not happy though and begins writing a journal. One day, Faith comes by and mistakes the journal for her own. When Emma notices that she has Faith's journal, she rushes to Faith's english class. But it's too late. Everyone has read the entries and Emma is even more shocked when the teacher offers to have a close friend publish some of the entries as a book of poems. Emma, with urging from friends and family, reluctantly agrees. Her family tells her that when she wrote those romance novels all those years ago, she was a smashing author and she'll be the same this time around. Indeed, the book is a success, making Emma a well-known author in the U.S. Later, while traveling to promote her book, Emma comes across a dead ringer for Grant. The man (also played by Jerry Douglas) agrees to come to Oakdale with her, sending shockwaves through the town when he does. Though Emma's reluctant to fall in love again, she soon finds herself falling head over heels for Grant's look-a-like. Lisa soon gets jealous and preys on Emma's grief, creating a memorial to Grant with her share of Grant's money that he left behind. Emma learns of it all and verbally rips Lisa apart in front of everyone, claiming she's still the coldhearted, manipulative little b.tch she was when she came to Oakdale.

Andy & Emily make the decision to finally have the wedding that they've been putting off. In light of recent events, Andy forces Kim and Susan to call a truce so that they can work together to plan the perfect wedding. In the meantime, Hope (played by Davetta Sherwood) comes back to Oakdale. In a scene only a soap opera could pull off, Hope stops the wedding and tearfully pleads with her father to come back home. Her mother, Denise, is dying of an incurable ailment and is asking for him. Emily urges Andy to follow through with the wedding, and the two finally tie the knot. Afterwards, Andy packs up for Pittsburgh only to discover Denise as healthy as a hound. Andy scolds Hope for lying to him and Denise admits to Andy that Hope's childish antics are more than she can handle. Andy agrees to assume custody of Hope for a few months until Denise can sell the four nightclubs she owns and manages. So when Andy returns to Oakdale with Hope in tow, you can only expect sparks to fly between Emily and the young girl deadset on destroying her newfound happiness.

Chris suffers the consequences of his actions and faces jail time after his parents persuade him to turn himself in. Luckily, Chris's new flame Roxie is able to blackmail the judge, who lets Chris off on six years probation and 400 hours of community service. However, the Hughes family is nothing like it once was. Except for Andy's marriage and Hope's arrival in Oakdale, no occasion is a happy occasion. Nancy submerges herself in her new apartment complex, making friends with several people. One of those people, unbeknowst to Nancy, is Hillary Carter (portrayed by Mary Tyler Moore) who just so happens to be Mrs. Adams's sister. Hillary urges Nancy to forgive Chris. Meanwhile, Kim becomes unsettled when she's forced to do a segment on WOAK pertaining to assisted suicide. Bob buries himself in work. But when tragedy strikes, the family must pull together to survive.

Will and Gwen have definite trust issues after Grant's birthday party. Gwen finally reveals to Will that before she ever came to Oakdale, she stooped to such a level that she would get romantic with boys, and when they were just about to fall in love, she'd high tail it with nearly everything of considerable value. Will, in time, finally forgives her and admits that they're past all of that. All he sees in the future is him and her. Together. Forever. And that's all that matters. But then one day, Will comes home and finds pregnant Gwen lying unconscious on the floor. He rushes her to the hospital and the doctors urge Will to persuade Gwen into an abortion. The pregnancy is just too risky. Will refuses the idea until he learns that Gwen's life might be in danger at the time of the delivery. Gwen assures Will that everything will be okay. A few months pass and Gwen goes into labor. The doctors force Will to choose between Gwen and the baby, and he chooses Gwen. Miraculously, however, they both survive. Pretty soon, Gwen learns that Will chose her instead of their newborn son. After a few months of arguments and separation, the two are reunited when they receive troubling information regarding their son. He's almost legally deaf.

Leah's return to Oakdale spells trouble for Tom and Margo. It seems that Leah, Margo's cellmate when she was held captive by The Children Of Promise, has gotten herself into quite the predicament. While Tom agrees to represent Leah, Margo begins to question her friend's true intentions. Tom tries to eliminate Margo's suspicions, but it just drives her to investigate further. Pretty soon, Margo discovers something that she might soon wish she had never unearthed. Ben and Jessica would also be heavily featured in this storyline. Plus, a visiting Casey (portrayed by Zach Roerig) puts a kink in Luke and Maddie's recently repaired relationship. After a dramatic turn of events, Maddie and Luke part as just friends. Casey convinces Maddie to leave town with him and they leave Oakdale to attend college in Maine together.

Millicent grabs up her husband and daughter's remains and buries them in Oakdale, claiming they were never worth the energy to have them buried where they both wanted. One night, Dana comes to Millicent in a dream. She blames her father for most of their troubles, but says that after all of it, Milly was a changed woman and never accepted Dana. Dana, in a fiery rage, pushes Milly off the top of a building. And as everyone knows, if you have a falling dream and you hit the bottom, you die. And in a soap opera, we all know that characters some die rather interesting deaths. (Such is the case.)

Summer starts and Jack gets worried when Carly stops calling him on a daily basis like she has been (off-screen). Though he phones the clinic day after day, he can never get through. It always says the line has been disconnected. Jack fears that James is back to his old tricks again. He gets a surprise though when Carly arrives back home with Rosanna (portrayed by Yvonne Perry) in tow! Rosanna goes through a brief stage of not being able to talk, which both Carly and Jack help her through. Soon, TWOO would have done perhaps one of the most controversial storylines a daytime soap could ever imagine doing. School starts back and Carly begins to notice a 6 year old Sage has bruise marks from time to time. Parent/teacher conferences are called, but the teacher (portrayed by Ian Kahn: hooker-beater "Eliot" from ATWT) denies that Sage has been violently assaulted in any way. Finally, one day, Parker comes home frantic, worried about Sage. He went to pick her up and walk with her to the bus, but the teacher said that Sage had to stay to finish her drawings and he would bring her home. However, Parker didn't leave, not trusting the teacher, and soon heard Sage crying, the teacher slapping Sage, and "bad sounds". Jack blasts into the school and finds Sage lying nearly unconscious on the floor. Her panties are pulled down and it's obvious she's been slapped around and has been crying. Jack and Carly, in a touching scene, rush little Sage to the hospital. As the whole community pulls together to comfort CarJack, they all vow to find the sick bastard who has done this. Jack calls out all the squad cars and officers to search for the teacher, while Maura West delivers another Emmy-worthy performance as grief-stricken, infuriated, horrified, worried mother of three, "Carly". The teacher is brought in and in a tension-filled room, Jack jumps the teacher and begins to bloodily beat him to the ground. Carly storms through the doors and finds the man begging for mercy. As the cops bring him back up from the ground and Margo restrains Jack, Carly walks right up and spits in his face. No doubt, there would have been such an aftermath from this dramatic, once in a blue moon storyline, that it would've taken years to write it all out.

*NOTE: Starting with Episode 301, Shawn Christian would have assumed the role of "Mike Kasnoff" from a departing Mark Collier.*
Mike and Katie arrive in Oakdale and Katie sees Simon again. She finally confides in Henry that she thinks she's losing it. In a comical turn of events that only Henry and Katie could pull off (with Henry in drag, no doubt), Simon finally reveals himself to Katie and he says that the man that set her up and brought Pilar to town was Donovan Curry, who was the dangerous man that Simon's been running away from all this time. Katie asks for evidence that it's really Simon. He does everything except showing her his birthmark...."you know where". Katie is both delighted that the Simon she feel in love with never left, but confused at the same time. Months and months of story are involved, but eventually Katie runs off with Simon, leaving Mike all alone. And who does he see but Rosanna! Through a few more months of story and comforting one another, the two old lovers hit it off once again and sail into the sunset together.

Holden and Lily, after months and months of story, are finally able to overcome the hurt, the heartbreak, the betrayal that Lily's kiss with Mike caused. Meanwhile, Holden and Lucinda work diligently to get Craig out of their hair. Craig laughs at his mother's attempt to restore the person she once knew. Lyla, saddened that Craig is forever lost to her, Katie is gone, and Margo has troubles of her own, would've left town. Coincidentally, around the same time she left town, John Dixon would be on the same bus. Would the two former lovers and proud parents of hardworking, law upholding, heart of gold, policewoman Margo Hughes resumed the romance that left them all those years ago? One might never know. However, what one does know is this. Holden and Lily would concoct a scheme to rid Oakdale of Craig. Much like the time before when Dusty and Paul were involved, Lucinda and Holden would set it up to look like Craig was evading his taxes and stealing money from Worldwide. But Craig, much too smart for them, would turn the tables while they weren't looking and both Holden & Lucinda would be arrested. Now, both fuming mad, their only hope would be a bed-ridden, very pregnant Lily. So it looks like they're stuck. Or are they? Luke, though a bit heartbroken, still lurks somewhere in Oakdale. While Craig tries charming his ex-step-nephew-in-law to ally with him, it doesn't work. Luke provides the evidence to send Craig back to jail and set his father and grandmother free...just in time for them to get a call that Emma has rushed Lily to the hospital. Holden & Lucinda walk through the hospital doors in just enough time to see Ethan Walsh Snyder born into the world.

Barbara brings back B.R.O. with a vengeance. In an effort to bring the B.R.O. name back from near extinction, she searches the country in hopes of nabbing the perfect person to help her with her new line. While seeking aid from a wealthy former colleague of hers, the woman's assistant Jada (portrayed by Elena Goode) walks in. Barbara is mesmerized by Jada and brings her to Oakdale. Jada forms an immediate bond with Barbara and the two women start work on resurrecting B.R.O in high style and high hopes. What Barbara doesn't know, though, is that Jada has a past life of her own that is as equally dramatized as any life in Oakdale is. She's running from an abusive ex-love that soon puts both lives in danger. Thankfully, they're finally rescued when Paul (portrayed by Scott Holiroyd) returns and saves the day.

Susan finds love with a man named Neil. Though Neil (portrayed by a daytime veteran) loves Susan, Susan finds herself in a situation she never thought she'd have to face. Neil, a well-known cardiologist, has a bad cocaine problem. His bad habit could very well be the end of him, but not if Susan has anything to say about it. Susan, in a storyline that would bring this character back to the forefront, must derive strength from her past battles with alcoholism to save the man she loves from a bad drug habit that could ruin him professionally and personally.

    THE WORLD OF OAKDALE
    TWOO Opening

Susan returns to the hospital where she soon runs into Lisa. Lisa asks Susan how everything went with Grant and if they hit it off. Susan flashes back to slapping Grant and telling him to go to hell. Susan says that Grant's not her type and wonders aloud if Lisa and Emma thought that they could get Grant out of their hair simply by introducing him to her, but Lisa denies it. Later, Lisa speaks with Emma and gives her the bad news about Grant and Susan not exactly hitting it off.

Ben runs into Bob at the hospital. Both men just stand akwardly as Kim passes by. After she tells Bob not to be late for the charity auction tonight in Bay City, Bob escorts Ben into his office.Bob asks him what he found out whe he talked with Chris's sup[eriors at Windy Falls. Ben instructs Bob to sit down and proceeds to tell him that Chris was terminated when he wouldn't co-operate with questioning regarding an elderly patient's sudden death. Bob can't believe it and in a rare moment, we see Bob break down. Angrily, he shouts for Ben to get out!

Craig arrives home at the Lakeview to find Lucinda waiting on him. Lucinda begs him to just hear her out. When he returned from prison, she was determined to find some fault in his behavior. She was insistent that he had some ulterior motive playing in his head. So she decided that if Oakdale couldn't get rid of him, then she would. She didn't think it all the way through. She feared for her safety, the safety of her family. How was she supposed to know that Craig had truly changed when he had said the same exact thing so many times? She explains how Lucy wrote her a letter that made her second guess her decision to put a hit out on Craig. She apologizes profusely, but Craig doesn't want to hear any of it. He orders her to leave, leave him alone, leave his life, and don't ever look back. He is through with her. Lucinda, not wanting Craig to get the best of her, tearfully slaps him across the face and storms out.

Luke dreads his appointment with Dr. Michaels. She finally arives and shares with them all a funny story about how she saw Luke's "twin" the other day in Rose Hill and tells how the boy's name is Bobby. Dr. Michaels begins talking to Luke, along with Holden and Lily, and determines that Luke is not bipolar. She determines that Luke definitely needs anger management and gives him the number to an anger coach that she both knows and trusts. She also advises Luke to see the school counselor or come by her office whenever he feels troubled.Holden and Lily thank Dr. Michaels for her time and are surprised to turn around and find Luke gone.
  11. Actor87
Susan runs outside and finds Bob trying to crank his car. Susan offers to take him home, and he eventually, although reluctant, accepts her offer. As soon as Bob enters the house with Susan, Kim begins to drill Susan for information and gets catty until Susan reveals that she just drove a drunk Bob home. Kim thanks the Lord aloud for letting Nancy be asleep and asks Bob what the hell he was thinking. Bob staggers up the stairs to his bed, and Susan tells Kim that Bob needs serious help. Kim fires that Susan needs to mind her own damn business and shooes her out before unenthusiastically thanking her for driving Bob. Later, Kim melts down at the kitchen table. Nancy comes down from bed and offers her shoulder for Kim to cry on, insistently whispering "Everything will be alright, dear."

Emma comes in the house at the Snyder farm and finds it a total wreck. Emma mutters that she's tired of her home being the Oakdale Inn. Meg comes down, not able to sleep, and asks Emma if she's heard the news. Emma says she hasn't and Meg tells her that Craig is dead. Emma comforts her daughter as Meg cries that she treated him so horribly. Emma tells Meg that Craig did some pretty rotten things in life that put Meg in not so great situations at times. Meg talks about how Paul must be ecstatic, but Emma hushes her and tells her that she's pregnant. She doesn't need all this extra stress. Meg remembers going to the doctor's office and how her plan fell through because of the news about Craig. Then, she flashes to her time with Craig and her turbulent relationship with Paul through it all. After Emma's gone, Meg re-thinks her plan, wondering if it's even worth it anymore.

Lily goes by Lucinda's to grieve and to lean on her for support, but instead, finds Lucinda nowhere in sight. At the Lakeview, Lucinda and Dusty toast to Craig's demise.

Henry runs into Katie at the park. Katie claims she needed some fresh air and Henry offers his condolences. Henry talks about Vienna acting very distant since news of her uncle came through. Welcoming a break from grief, Katie takes the time to focus herself on Henry for a moment. She tells Henry that he's her best friend and she wants to see him happy. Henry appreciates her compliments, but asks Katie where she's going with all of this. Katie tells Henry that what they had might have burnt him from marriage, but what they had wasn't real. He and Vienna have something real. They deserve happiness. Henry asks Katie to cut the the chase and Katie reveals that she thinks he should ask Vienna to marry him again. Citing the sour attempt the first time, Henry throws up excuses for a potential second dump at the altar, but Katie shoots them all down. After Katie leaves, Henry decides to make a move.

Leonard stares down at an agonizing Jack and laughs at Carly that her G-Man won't be saving her today. He comments that Starziak should have finished Jack off when he had the chance. Jack, hearing this, goes to pounce at Leonard, but Leonard shoots him in the shoulder. Leonard promises Jack (as Carly cries) that the next time he tries to lunge at him, he'll shoot him right in the heart. Carly screams at Leonard to let her go as Jack eyeballs Parker. "Hey Lenny! Forgettin' somethin'?" Parker shouts. Leonard turns around and stops dead in his tracks as he watches Parker dangle Cowboy Jack near a candle on the bar. Leonard goes for Parker, but Carly's bite forces him to let go of his gun. Jack lies unconcious now, bleeding profusely. Carly finally breaks free from Leonard's clutch and rushes to Jack and Parker. Parker, guarding his mother and father, grabs the gun and fires two shots into an approaching Leonard. Carly stares in horror as Leonard's lifeloss body crumples to the floor and Parker holds the gun in shock.
  12. Actor87
Alison barges into Emily's office and slams the paper on her desk. Alison asks Emily what the hell she was doing printing such personal material as this. Emily claims that her motivations were in the right place. Alison barks "Like hell they were! You took advantage of a personal situation. Aaron's already having enough trouble." Emily defends herself, saying that sales are down and she needed a story that would sell. Unfortunately, that story is the turbulent relationship between Caleb and Julie, which many in Oakdale have already known. Alison screams that Emily has no heart. Disgusted, Alison leaves and finds Aaron about to bust into Emily's office and let her hear it. She's eventually able to convince Aaron to let it go and not confront Emily, saying that's exactly what Emily wants him to do. Later, Susan shares her disgust with Emily when she arrives home, wondering aloud what Dusty will think when he hears Emily's back to her old habits.

Carly finds Carrie holed up in the bathroom at WOAK. Carly helps Carrie out with her troubles and Carrie thanks her. Carly tells Carrie that the morning sickness will eventually leave. Carly confesses that she knows what it's like to be in her shoes and asks if Carrie has any family in the area to take care of her. Carrie says that she's been estranged from her father for years now and hasn't seen him since she was seventeen; her mother died when she was young; and the baby's father has decided not to take part in anything. Carly shocks Carrie by inviting her to move in with her, as Carrie recalls that Carly hated her just a few weeks ago. Carly admits that she was a bit too hard on Carrie, and eventually, she convinces Carrie to move in with her. Later, Carly and Carrie have a near miss with Luke and Noah.

Noah and Luke return to the apartment. Noah, having just gotten off work, lays down in the tub for a soak and is surprised when Luke comes up behind him. Luke tries to take things past 2nd base, but Noah stalls. Noah reminds Luke that their frolicking almost cost Noah his job before he even started. Luke tells Noah to relax and the two end up making love in the tub. Later, the two decide to go out for dinner at Mona Lisa. Lisa greets them and tells them that she's glad they were able to come. Katie comes up and asks about Holden and Lily. After Katie walks off, Luke mentions that after pining over Holden and marrying Jack, Katie's now sleeping with Brad. Luke laughs that she likes to keep it all in the family. Little do they know that a hurt Katie heard every word.

Katie meets Lyla and Margo for dinner at Mona Lisa. Once all three arrive, Katie tells her mother and sister about overhearing Luke's hurtful words and whines that perhaps giving Brad another chance was a bad mistake. Margo tells Katie that their mother's just been released from the hospital and goes back for more tests tomorrow...the last thing she wants is to hear about Katie's love life. Katie cries that no one seems to even care about her anymore. Margo, with sympathy, tells Katie that not everything is always about her. Lyla warns Katie that this could be the last dinner they all have together. She comforts Katie, telling her that she does care. She wants to see Katie marry (for good, this time) and have kids and grow to be an extraordinary woman. But right now, she continues, all she wants is to eat dinner with her girls and leave the troubles of their lives behind...even if it's only for a few minutes. Later, Margo confesses to Lyla that she thinks she and Michael have patched things up. Lyla's horrified that her daughters have been spending time with Michael. Margo, frank as can be, asks Lyla why she doesn't want her daughters to have anything to do with Michael. Lyla insists that she and Michael have a history far too complicated to be understood. Patiently, she asks Margo to respect her wishes and asks that Margo and Katie only see Michael on a professional basis. Margo reluctantly agrees.

Holden and Lily continue running from Andrew. Taking a break, Lily notices her ankle swelling again, but ventures on. As they run, they see men in black uniforms and conclude that the men are after them, as well. Little do they know that the men in black uniforms are the search party Lucinda has sent looking for them both. Holden suggests they run one way, but Lily takes the opposite route and heads for the hotel room where she was staying. As she gathers her things in a hurry, Holden keeps watch. Lily spots the note telling her to quit looking and tucks it into her bag. The two head out again for the air strip and start to board the jet. The search and rescue team sent by Lucinda tries to identify themselves, but fearing they have a gun, Holden and Lily start fighting them off. Lily notices Andrew's nowhere in sight. Holden grabs Lily and starts to run again until the commander of the search team identifies himself and says that Ms. Walsh sent them. Holden and Lily sigh with relief and board the plane with the team, headed back home. Little do they know...

One of the search and rescue team members lies unconcious on the ground back in Barbados while a black uniformed team member on the plane raises his head and reveals the face of Andrew.

It took a while, but we finally made it! Thanks to all my loyal readers (members or commenters or not) for entrusting me to tell you stories from my side of the "world". It means alot to me.

Episode co-written by my good friend and better internet half, P.J.

WHO: The denizens of Oakdale, Illinois
WHERE: The Grand Opening of the Oakdale Memorial Cancer Center
    WHAT: A black-tie affair
WHEN: A quiet June night, Episode 100

Luke and Carrie arrive separately. When they meet up, Carrie admits surprise at the invitation---she got the impression he didn't like her. Luke makes an excuse---Noah will be occupied with WW business most of the night, and Noah suggested they get to know one another. Luke tries to get her to open up a little, mentioning he found out that she works with Carly. Smoothly, Carrie admits working at WOAK, but sulls up when Luke asks what brought her to Oakdale.

As Will ushers Barbara into the room, tears of joy run from her face when she sees a plaque on the wall, informing all who enter that this site is dedicated to Jennifer and Hal. Will himself chokes up, but holds his tears in when he sees Gwen approaching. Will can sense the tension and before asking for a private moment with his wife, he warns Barbara not to strain her voice too much. The doctor told her today that she can start talking again, but don't push it. Barbara smiles empathatically, assuring her son she won't. As she saunters over to the table where she's sitting, she catches sight of Carly and Wagner entering. Wagner introduces himself, but gets cut short by a business call. Barbara thanks Carly for coming and Carly retorts that she wouldn't have missed this for the world. Kim approaches and tells Barbara that they'll be calling her up to give a very brief speech, introducing Michael.
As Barbara begins to take her leave, Carrie accidentally spills her punch, inadvertently splashing Barbara with some. Luke tries to calm the situation, seeing how distraught both women are about the incident. Carrie apologizes, as Barbara fumes that Carrie should watch where she's going. In a huff, Barbara storms off. Luke sees tears swelling in Carrie's eyes and promises that she did nothing wrong. Accidents happen. Carrie lightly taps her growing bump and shamefully smirks that he can say that again. Luke, however, is too busy spying on a newly arrived Noah and Sherry to notice Carrie's growing bump or hear her words. Carrie urges Luke to go make himself known, just as Lucinda comes behind him and tells him that making himself known would be the worst possible mistake he could make.

As Luke, Carrie, and Lucinda watch on, Noah pulls out a chair for Sherry who keeps blabbing about her relatives in Minnesota. Jokingly, Noah states that he doesn't think that they've gotten to "meet the parents" status yet. Sherry giggles, pulling Noah into an impromptu kiss. She turns around and coldly eyeballs Luke, reporting to Noah that someone sure knows how to stare. When Noah looks up, he sees Luke walking away from the party. He excuses himself and tells Sherry that he has to go check on something. Sherry smirks as she watches Noah walk away.

Will and Gwen stand beside a splendid ice sculpture encasing the new logo of the cancer center. Will asks Gwen what prompted her to come. Gwen explains that she left Hallie with a sitter for the night and thought that a nice night to themselves would be good for a change. Will coldly asks if the babysitter has short brown hair, a grating New Jersey accent, and a criminal record that keeps on talking. Gwen scoots back, shocked at the acidity of her husband's voice. Will exclaims that he needs to leave before he blows his cool, leaving a flustered Gwen behind. Carly approaches and asks what that was all about. Gwen reveals that she's been taking Hallie to see Iris behind Will's back and she thinks he knows. Carly suggests that lies are no good for a marriage, citing personal experience. If Gwen wants to keep Will, Gwen needs to tell all.

Outside, Noah chases after Luke and admits that although he kissed Sherry, it meant nothing. Luke denies he's upset about the kiss; he just hates feeling like he's thirteen again and sneaking around. Noah explains that it'll all be over soon, which makes Luke roll his eyes in contempt. Noah returns to the table and realizes the next step he needs to take in order to uncover Sherry as the mole. He tells Sherry that Worldwide is planning on securing a million dollar account tonight with UniverseOne after Lucinda speaks with the vice president. After a moment or two of small talk, Sherry excuses herself to the ladies room and rounds the corner. Flipping out her cell phone, she sends a message to someone telling them to meet her outside on the terrace.

Carly smiles as she watches Wagner approaching. Wagner apologizes and says that he has some urgent matters that need to be taken care of back at his office. Carly's smile turns upside down and she excuses him with a peck on the cheek, thanking him for bringing her. Jack approaches as Wagner walks away and jokes that Carly must have scared Wagner off by telling him her ex-husband was here. Irritated, Carly hisses that Wagner left for business and exclaims that she didn't think Jack would make it tonight since he's always hated these formal events. Reaching back for two glasses of champagne, Jack chuckles that Emma pushed him to attend. He denies he "hates" these events---as long as the evening ends on a good note. "Your bribes were the best", he whispers in her ear. Carly flushes red, remembering nights when they had stumbled into the house and made love after parties like these. Dry-mouthed, Carly shoves the glass back into his hand and hastily retreats.

Running onto the terrace, she brushes right past Lily. Lily stops her and asks where she's off to in such a hurry. Carly musters courage and snaps that she knew she should have never come tonight. Lily invites her good friend to sit down and tells her that Holden couldn't attend tonight either. Carly hypothetically asks Lily why Jack always acts like her husband. He's constantly coming over unannounced, picking up the kids whenever the need bites him, and dishing out advice to her left and right. Lily laughs and tells her that Jack is just doing what he's always known. Being a policeman, he's taught to protect people. And with Carly, the rule goes above and beyond since he's known her and even fathered children with her. Carly thanks Lily, but explains that she still needs a breath of fresh air.

Will approaches the doors of Metro, eyeing his watch and recalling the venom that he just spewed to his wife. He's now more confident than ever that this fake robbery will make Gwen see Iris for what she truly is...a bloodsucking leech that will never change. Stan cowers behind some bushes and Will invotes him over. "Ya got the blueprints", Stan asks. Will nods yes and hands them over, reminding him that by the end of the week, he wants both him and his no-good sidekick as far from Oakdale as possible. He promises that the money will be deposited in an offshore account as soon as they're out of sight. Stan shakes his hand and heads back home to fill Iris in on his great plans for robbing Metro.

Luke walks back in, finally content with Noah's promise that all this sneaking around will be over soon. After searching around, he can't find Carrie and reasons that she must have gone to the ladies' room. Meanwhile, Carrie finds Barbara backstage, prepping for her brief introduction of Michael. Carrie cautiously approaches Barbara and again apologizes. But she assures the accident was just that---an accident, not a deliberate act on anyone's part. Impressed with the girl's forthrightness, Barbara accepts the gesture and declines an offer to pay for the dry cleaning. Shyly, Carrie admits to admiring Barbara's designs and career through the years. Expecting to be hit up for advice, Barbara starts to excuse herself, but Carrie insists she has to return to her date, and leaves. Luke hides as he watches Carrie stop behind a large group of potted palms, pulls out her cell phone and call someone. He tries to get closer, but Jack pulls him out of hiding and asks jokingly if Luke's hiding from his grandmother. Jack explains that she's probably giving some potential client an earful somewhere in the building.

Casey grimaces as Gabe pulls Sophie away for publicity photos. When she returns, she excitedly announces Gabe booked her a photo shoot in Spain. When Casey suggests going with her, she cautions that it's a work trip and that Gabe will be there. Casey storms off, accusing Sophie of being blind to Gabe's true intentions. Margo pulls Sophie aside and asks for an explanation. Sophie attributes Casey's reaction to jealousy, and feeling like a prisoner in his parents' house. Taking offense, Margo barks that she needs to stop selfishly playing two men against each other. Casey doesn't deserve to be hurt again after losing Maddie. His heart still hasn't completely healed. Sophie spits back that it's time Margo let Casey live his own life, suggesting that Margo only issued her motherly warning because she'd rather see Casey with Maddie than her.

As Paul watches Gabe whore himself to the media, Rosanna approaches. After she realizes that it's Paul she's approaching, she makes a last minute turn toward the exit. Paul, much too quick, has been watching Rosanna, too. He rushes after her and grabs her by the arm. Rosanna slings her arm free and threatens to have security called at the drop of a hat. Paul chuckles that this isn't her shindig, but Rosanna defends herself, throwing her board member status at Paul. He quickly retreats and tells Rosanna that if she wants to play hardball, he's willing to take anything she dishes out for a second chance. Fuming, Rosanna splashes her drink in his face and storms out.

Bob and Susan circulate at the party, mingling and accepting congratulations on the cancer center. Kim surprises them both by praising Susan's efforts in getting the center up and running. She even suggests doing a feature for Oakdale Now. Later, Susan privately thanks Kim for putting up a good front in public. Kim tells her it's not an act...she hopes this will ultimately save Barbara's life, and she'd thank anyone who made that possible. As Bob and Susan pose for pictures, Susan makes light of walking in on Michael as he was getting ready. Bob huffs that the last thing Susan needs in her life is an accident like Michael. Kim overhears and assumes Bob's jealous of Susan's obvious attraction to the new doctor in town.

Alison and Aaron arrive almost at the same time as Emily and Dusty. Both couples seem to be hesitant of approaching the other until Susan walks up, cheerfully annoucing her excitement in seeing them. Susan sees that Dusty and Emily have come together and incorrectly assumes they're back together. Dusty chuckles that he and Emily have decided to cover the opening together; that's all. Aaron sees Kevin sitting all by himself and excuses himself. Aaron takes a seat and observes that he thought Kevin had moved. Kevin sighs that he returned to Oakdale because of his parents, but he was making the wrong assumptions when he thought he and Luke could just pick up where they left off. Aaron recalls his little brother having a crush on Kevin and judging from Kevin's lackluster attitude and harsh Noah-hate that he'd rather be more than friends with Luke. Kevin fills in the blanks for Aaron, recalling that after he left Oakdale, he came to terms with his feelings for Luke. He pushed him away because he felt like what he was doing was wrong. But now that Kevin's come out to his parents, all he has left to do is come out to Luke. Aaron raises his eyebrow and pats Kevin empathatically on the back.

Carly sees Brad from across the way and sneaks up behind him, asking where that tramp of a girlfriend of his is. Brad reminds Carly that she shouldn't resort to name calling. Carly remembers the hell that Katie put her family through and openly wishes nothing but misery for the bimbo homewrecker. Brad argues that Katie's different now. Seeing that Brad truly cares for her, Carly backs off and apologizes for being so cruel. Brad jokes that since Vienna and Henry have gone to secure advertisers for ViCE cosmetics, he was the last resort when Katie approached him for a date. When Brad reveals that he's been thinking of popping the question to Katie, Carly urges him to go for it. Brad snickers and wonders aloud if Carly just wants them to get married so she won't have to worry about Katie returning to Jack. Carly hisses that she and Jack are through, but voices her pleasure in wanting to never have to gag again at the sight of Jack and Katie together. Brad laughs.

Katie tries to reassure Michael, who's nervously messing up the opening line of his prepared remarks. Katie tries to coach him, helpfully suggesting he imagine all the people in their underwear. Michael tries to laugh, but he admits he's always feared speaking in front of large groups, and he expects a disaster. After Barbara introduces "the man who made it all possible, the man who's saved my life", Michael takes the stage. He glimpses into the crowd past all the applauding hands and sees Doris sneering at him from the corner. He begins his speech, cutting it down to the essentials. Before he can finish, though, Doris barrels through the crowd. Loudly denouncing him as a cheating sonofabitch and slapping divorce papers into Michael's chest, she continues that he should be ashamed of himself for leaving her destitute, when he's off committing adultery. Katie's shocked and confused at the accusations. Michael roughly grabs Doris' arm and drags her away as Susan takes the stage and tries to calm the blabbering audience. Katie follows her uncle, and hears him arguing with Doris. She makes her presence known, only to discover that the woman her uncle is fighting with is his estranged wife. Furiously, Doris lunges at Katie, blaming her for bonking her husband while he' still married. Stunned, Katie returns to the party, and gets another surprise when she sees Lyla, freshly returned from visiting Cricket. Katie starts to fill her in, but Lyla stops her saying she saw it herself. Katie's puzzled when Lyla says she's not surprised by the allegations--at all.

At Lily and Holden's, a dark figure scoots through the yard undetected. A pull of the doorknob fails and the figure retreats to a bedroom window. After finally prying it open, the figure leaps in, startling the girls from their quite slumber. A hand tightly fumbles to cover Faith's mouth as she screams for help. The lights go on and Holden emerges with a baseball bat, but the true surprise comes when the girls look up and find their cousin Jade standing in the middle of their room.

Meanwhile, Barbara comes down from the podium and meets Carrie at the bottom of the stage. Carrie compliments her on her eloquent words and reveals that she even mustered a tear or two herself while Barbara was speaking. Barbara thanks her and heads back to her table. Suffering from a dizzy spell, she grasps at Carrie's arm to steady herself. Barbara snaps that she's fine but Carrie insists that she take a seat. Paul sees his mother in distress and runs to help her. Paul suggests they go home and Barbara nods, accepting her son's invitation to rest. Suddenly, the lights go out. As the hospital drowns in a blanket of darkness, a deep, malevolent voice wickedly calls out, "Don't leave, Barbara...we've yet to say hello...."

James returns to Oakdale and lets his presence be known at the grand opening. Barbara realizes that James came to town on her behalf. James and Paul have an altercation, but Rosanna breaks them up. James is glad to see that his son has finally snubbed his enemy Craig and nabbed the lady for himself. Paul retorts that Craig died in a plane crash and James smirks. James also issues his sympathy to Barbara about Hal and Jennifer, but tells her that with Hal out of the way, they can be together now. Barbara slaps James and starts screaming. Kim takes her home while Jack makes arrangements for security to be posted outside Barbara's room. Meanwhile, Carrie makes eye contact with James as he mouths the words "Thank you". Eventually, James leaves, promising to stay in town and comfort his love, Barbara. Stunned and frightened, Oakdale citizens return home with hesitance.

Jade reasons with Holden not to call Lily because she doesn't plan on staying long. Holden asks why Jade returned and Jade clams up, promising to tell them everything in the morning. Meanwhile, Lily walks in on Lucinda spying on Sherry. Sherry thanks the mystery person for meeting her and Lucinda is shocked to see that it's the Vice President of WorldOne. Lucinda storms up to him and demands an explanation. Sherry explains that she and her father have been making preparations now for months to take over Worldwide. Sherry bluffs that Noah's along with the idea, but Noah's sudden arrival turns her lie around. Lucinda fires Sherry and tells her father that her attorneys will be going after him for everything he has. Noah later breaks the news to Luke that it's all over. Meanwhile, a scream goes out inside.

Everyone that's left rushes around Carrie, lying unconcious on the floor. Susan has medical personnel take her downstairs where she plans on examinging her. Carly fears for the lives of Carrie and her unborn baby. Meanwhile, Jack learns from a nurse that things aren't looking good. Jack tries to prep Carly for the worst, but she snaps at him that this is all his fault. If he hadn't given Carrie such a hard time about her past, she never would have had the stress level that she had. Jack finds it ridiculous that Carly's blaming him. As they round the corner, a worried, ranting Carly is taken by surprise when Jack pulls her into a kiss. As Carly stand shocked, Jack replies that it's the only way he knew to calm her dramatic hysterics. He whispers that Carrie's going to be fine as Susan approaches and tells Carly that she's going in to examine Carrie.

Katie, Lyla, and Margo have all returned to Lyla's suite and calmed down after the night's hectic festivities. Lyla and Margo are both stunned James has returned and recall that any time James returns, it's not a good sign of things to come. Katie's still in shock over discovering that Michael is married. She's shocked and hurt that he would keep something like that from her. She also blasts her mother for thinking that Michael is an adulterer. Lyla warns that there's alot about Michael that she doesn't know. Michael is capable of anything. Katie frowns and huffs that Lyla doesn't know him like she does. Margo breaks up the bickering and tells them that she has problems of her own. Casey's getting married to a two-timing slut. Lyla comically guesses "Emily?" to which all three ladies laugh. Margo laughs that if she were to ever discover Emily and Casey were an item, she'd go mentally insane. Back on the subject of James, Lyla promises that James probably had a hand in Oakdale before he ever appeared.

James convinces one of the security guards posted at Barbara's door that he's her nurse. The guard lets him in and James walks up on a sleeping Barbara. Startled from her sleep, Barbara starts to scream, but James clasps her mouth and warns her not to strain her voice. Barbara asks James why he's doing this. She's lost the father of her children, her daughter, and now she's lost any pride she had left thanks to cancer. What else does James want from her? James replies that he simply wants "forever". He leaves and a shaken Barbara seeks refuge in the middle of the night at Kim's.

Back at Dusty's house, he sits Emily down and asks how she's doing now that her ex-lover is back in town. Emily sits doe-eyed in her chair and Dusty chuckles that he wasn't so happy to see his once-supposed-father, either. Dusty guesses that James came back to town for a number of reasons and seeing that Barbara's alright is just at the beginning of the list.

Lily returns home and frantically searches for Holden and the children. Holden tells Lily to calm down. Lily screams that James is back in town and she wants to make sure her children are untainted by the bastard's hands. Holden tells Lily that he has something to tell her, but before he can mutter another word, Lily busts into the girls' room and finds Jade sleeping soundly with Faith. Lily's stunned and wonders why her niece came back to town. Holden promises that he knows nothing, but urges his wife to let her sleep; they'll find out everything tomorrow.

Carly leans against Jack's shoulder in the hospital waiting room, waiting to hear something from Susan. Carly mutters that Jack should be at home with the children, but he retorts that he wants to make sure everything is okay with Carrie and the baby. A somber Susan emerges and informs the two that Carrie has had a miscarriage. Susan prompts Carly to be easy when she goes in to visit. Jack asks what he can do and Susan replies that he can go find the baby's father. Susan hands him a sheet of paper. Written in fine print, the name "Noah Mayer" reads boldly. Jack's in utter disbelief.

Gwen notices Will's distant behavior. She knows how frightened, angry, and confused her husband is. She hates to add to the stress. Finally, she concludes that she can't tell Will that she's been taking Hallie to see Iris for months now. Little does she know that Will's upset about James's return, but he's even more upset that he's been betrayed by his wife. He recalls seeing her with Hallie as she drove into Iris's. He wonders how she could jeopardize everything based on her mother's pleas for yet another chance when he knows that Iris will never change. Meanwhile, Iris again tells Stan that she will never help him in his plan to rob Metro. She cites it as a misdeed against God, which makes Stan laugh. He chuckles that he never saw Iris turning to the Lord. Iris retorts that she has and there's nothing Stan can say to change her mind. Stan smiles as he tells Iris that with the money they steal from Metro, she can do whatever she wants, whatever she wouldn't be able to afford. She can starts a trust fund for Hallie, she can donate it all to God, or she can spend it on shoes and earrings. Iris forces a smirk across her face. She knows how she can put Stan in his place and save her reputation from any futher harm at the same time.

Rosanna checks on Paul and discovers that he has left his room, even though he promised not to go anywhere. She finally tracks him down at the Wagon Wheel thanks to a bellhop. It's there that she walks in on Paul pointing a gun at James.

Jack arrives at Lucinda's and apologizes for coming so late. He heard from Holden that Noah and Luke are staying the night at Lucinda's. She invites him in, reasoning that he wants to speak with Noah about the mole at Worldwide. Jack hesitates before knocking on the door. Noah comes to the door and tells him that he needs to get to Memorial. He opts not to tell Noah she's miscarried in front of Luke. When Noah returns to bed to gather his things, Luke asks to tag along, wanting to be there for his boyfriend as he helps his friend. Not able to hold it in anymore, Noah snaps that it's his responsibility to check on Carrie and the baby. Luke raises up in the bed and asks, "What baby? And why is it your responsibility?" Noah never answers and escapes to Memorial. Luke follows in his car, determined to find out once and for all what's going on. Deep in his mind, he knows. But he chooses to ignore his inner impulses. At the hospital, Carly thanks Noah for coming. A nurse spots Noah and walks over. "Are you the father?" Noah shamefully nods yes as Luke watches him walk away. He angrily wipes tears from his face. Out the door, past Carly's soothing voice, he hurries outside. He can't breathe. His anxiety heightens when he sees Lucinda emerge from the parking lot. He crumbles in his gradnmother's arms, crying tears of anger, shame, disappointment, confusion, heartbreak, and disgust. Now, he knows.

The World Of Oakdale is making way for 2007. Cast changes have been coming left and right. New characters, old characters recast, departures, and maternity leaves have left the casting department with one of the busiest weeks this year.

For starters, fans of the classic NBC sitcom "Wings" will be pleased to learn that Crystal Bernard has landed the role of "Dana Hamilton". Dana comes to town right after learning of her father's impending engagement to Oakdale socialite Lisa Grimaldi. According to Executive Producer and Headwriter Dusty Alford, fans will be surprised with what he has planned for Dana. "There's more to her than meets the eye. I won't go into detail, but Dana certainly has a very deep, dark secret that will present itself in an explosive way come February Sweeps."

Also joining the cast is Brennan Elliott. Elliott is probably best known for his role on "Strong Medicine" where he played a doctor. In a surprising twist, he will also be playing a doctor on The World of Oakdale as well. Dr. Chris Hughes, that is. That's right. The World of Oakdale has cast the young stud as Bob and Kim Hughes's son, Chris. Fans may remember seeing him making a brief appearance as the same character during the Thanksgiving holiday a month ago. And according to Alford, fans can definitely expect Chris to put a kink in Andy and Emily's ever-so-complicated romance.

Sadly, The World of Oakdale has chosen to dismiss Guiding Light alum Marty West, as well as his on-screen sister portrayed by InTurn finalist Geneva. Their last airdate is scheduled for sometime in early January. "We wish them both the best," says Alford.

And lastly, Maura West will be going on maternity leave sometime in mid-January. Details of West's exit aren't known quite yet, because of Alford's inability to decide whether or not to recast the role of Carly during Ms. West's maternity leave. Alford supposedly had a big storyline planned for Jack and Carly to begin sometime in the early months of 2007, but due to West's upcoming maternity leave, he isn't so sure he wants to pursue the dramatic storyline without West.

So he's calling on the fans to make a decision for him. You may write to him either though commenting this blog entry or provate messaging him. Like in any case, feedback is greatly appreciated.

It's New Year's Eve in Oakdale. Usually, Metro would be throwing a big bash, but due to some legal matters, the club won't be open anytime soon. And as far as Ice, the newest nightclub in Oakdale...well, all the employees are going home to watch the Hal Munson Memorial Telethon on Channel 9, also widely known as WOAK. Barbara Ryan is co-hosting alongside her aunt, Kim Hughes, and the beloved Nancy Hughes. The event almost exactly coincides with the half year anniversary of Hal's death. And strangely, nobody had planned it that way. In any case, the money raised would be donated to one of Hal's favorite causes, the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Will and Gwen enter hand in hand, followed by Luke and Maddie. "Wow, they really have the place set up nice", says Gwen. Will hardly recognizes it, and stops dead in his tracks at the picture of his father in the backgorund of the calling center. "He would have been so pr...", Will struggles to finish but he just can't. Barbara greets them and asks who has volunteered to take calls, as Luke and Maddie take their seats by a phone. Will goes to get a drink of water, leaving Barbara and Gwen alone. Barbara tries to bring up matters of business, but Gwen doesn't care. Soon, Will returns and he and Gwen take their seats in the screening room.

Holden and Lily arrive and are thrilled to see Luke and Maddie. "I had to drag your father along. He kept trying to come up with exucses", taunted Lily. "No I didn't. I simply said that I think we should take it easy, ya know", Holden replied. "Well, if you think I'm going to just sit on my rump all day at the house watching soaps just because the doctor told me not to overwork myself, then you're wrong, Mr. Snyder. After all, I am singing tonight". Luke heard the frist part of that and thought after thought started racing through his mind. Maddie could notice he was worried. But that's when it was finally said. "Luke doesn't even know I'm pregnant. Do you, honey?" Luke stood in awe. His family had been through so many twists and turns over the past year. He felt as though this was the best thing that could happen....and the worst.

Lucinda grabs her coat and begins to walk out the door until Matthew comes rushing in, perhaps to warn Ms. Walsh of an intruder approaching. Indeed, he was. "Some gangly man outside. Said he has some news to deliver to you, Ms. Walsh. Quite a rude young man, I might add. Kept on..." Lucinda stopped him. This was twice in a week and she couldn't handle it anymore! "Craig" she muttered.

Chris was making some last minute changes to the equipment at the station. His mother had give him a little side project to keep him busy during the telethon. "Chris? Chris Hughes?" It was a voice that Chris knew all too well. Susan ran up to Chris and though hesitant for a moment after recalling the way Chris seemed to have chewed upand spit out both her daughters, Susan shook his hand anyway. After a brief catching up session, Chris felt the need to apologize just one last time. "You know, Susan, I just wanted to say that I'm sor..." Susan stopped him by raising her right hand high in the air, aimed at his face. "Hush, hush. No time for apologies. So I assume you're going to be rejoining us at Memorial?" But what she didn't know was the reason beind Chris's move to Oakdale was the absence of a job he once had. He had, sadly, come close to losing his medical license, but he had yet to find the courage to tell anyone...not even his family. So he just lied.

Andy isn't one for big parties, but he feels he has to go. He ows it to Hal. However, he isn't so sure how Emily will handle him being at the telethon being held in her ex-husband's memory. Either way, he doesn't seem to care. He pulls into a parking spot and notices a young blonde in a red car, the same car Emily drives. She has her head rested in between her hands and seems to be draining her tear ducts of all available moisture. Maybe she's upset about the break-up. I knew she'd finally realize the truth. I didn't sleep with Roxie. Maybe if I just tap on this window and offer her some sort of condolence, she'll listen..he thought. Tap. Tap. "Hey, you seemed upset. I was just gonna check. See if you're okay.," said Andy. No reply. Just crying. Tap. Tap. Tap. "Hey..are you okay? I mean, we can talk if you want. Or not. I can just go on about my business". Right as the "s" escapes his mouth, the blonde turns amd looks with eyes full of tears. "Roxie? What the hell's the matter?" Or does he even want to know, he inwardly chuckled.

    THE WORLD OF OAKDALE
    TWOO Opening

Nancy and Kim are floored with the news that Bob is thinking about retiring. Bob tells them that he's done good for all the years he's been at Memorial, but he thinks it's time to hand over his stethoscope to his son. Bob excuses himself and goes to talk with Ben. Jessica informs him that Ben isn't home, but asks if there's anything she can help him with. "Why yes. There is something you can help me with", Bob replies.

Chris comes home and finds Nancy in the kitchen. He surprises her by asking if she's afraid of dying. Nancy assumes that Chris is worried about her, and assures him that she is perfectly healthy. Chris says he knows that, but.....is she afraid of dying? Nancy, a little confused about Chris's eagerness for her to answer, responds that when the Lord wants to call her home, He will...but until then..."You'll just have to put up with me", she says with a smirk.

Lily arrives at Craig's suite and finds nobody home. She leaves Craig a voice mail on his cell phone to come home right away. She needs to speak with him. As she stares at all the family pictures and recalls a happier time, Craig sneaks up behind her and startles her. He recalls doing that to her once at his and Sierra's wedding and he asks if she's heard anything from her sister. Lily replies that she hasn't, but she did hear from Bianca that Sierra's been doing fine. Craig finally breaks the ice and asks Lily what she wanted to speak with him about. Lily asks why Craig is suing her mother and Worldwide and Craig informs a very disturbed Lily that her mother tried to have him killed.

Across town, Dana frets over the situation with Barbara, telling her father that she had nothing to do with a missing file. Grant promises Dana that she has every right to be upset. Dana changes the subject and starts talking about possible places to have his birthday party.

Emily runs into Tom at the police station and he makes arrangements for her to go pick Daniel up from his weekend soccer game. Emily finds Margo in her office and asks her where John is. Margo replies that she hasn't seen him since he posted bail, and now that the charges are dropped, she doubts she'll see him again until he needs something. Emily is hurt that Andy didn't inform her of this, but Margo promises her that he had intentions to do just that.

As Nelly Furtado's "Maneater" plays softly in the background.....

Roxie goes by John's to get her stuff and sees that no-one is home. She grabs her stuff out and as she does, she sees John has a message on his machine. As she listens to Tiffany thank John for such a wonderful time last night, she grows even more furious than what she was to begin with. Crying and screaming, she smashes John's machine into millions of tiny pieces, flips his couch over after tearing a knife into it, throws pictures against the wall, and totally trashes John's house.

Grant and Dana begin to notice little things that are a little odd as they walk throughout the house. Lights in the house being off when they left and now on. A few of Grant's business cards here and there. Some family pictures scattered on the counter. And the faint, foul smell of cigarettes and alcohol. As Grant and Dana round the corner, we see Grant's office chair turned around. Cigarette smoke dances above the chair and three empty martini glasses rest on the desk beside the chair. As the chair slowly turns around....we hear a voice say "Welcome home, my dears". Grant and Dana's mouths both hit the floor when they see who it is.
