News of Reginald’s death spreads

AT THE BLAKES…

Felicia wakes up and sees Mitch sitting on the edge of the bed, with a tray of breakfast.

Mitch: Good morning sunshine.

Felicia: Is this a peace offering?

Mitch: It’s a fully cooked breakfast…from Tops.

Felicia sits up, and eats a piece of bacon.

Felicia: Tops huh? If you really wanted to make it up to me you would have cooked it yourself.

Mitch: I didn’t want to burn the house down while you were sleeping.

Felicia then sips on her glass of orange juice, and Mitch comes over and sits beside Felicia on the bed.

Mitch: I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about Sharlene.

Felicia: No…I’m the one who should be apologizing.

LOVE MANSION

Allen joins Donna for breakfast downstairs in the dining area.

Donna: Good morning.

Allen: Morning.

Donna: Did you enjoy the Club last night?

Allen: Yes it was real nice, but there was something else I had to do.

Donna: Your uncle Peter left me a text about Nicole.

Allen: He took her away to Switzerland for treatment.

Donna: I wish I had a chance to say good-bye to my sister.

Allen: There was no time. Peter wanted to get her to the clinic as soon as possible.

Donna: Before our devil incarnate father found out.

Allen: Right.

Donna: Do you know Marley was in an accident last night?

Allen: Are she and the baby okay?

Donna: They’re fine. She must have been upset after she saw those pictures.

Allen: What pictures?

Donna: They were of me and your brother. Reginald made it look like we were having an affair.

Allen flashes back to when he took the pictures of Tyrone and Donna being close….

Jake comes downstairs to the living room while Vicky reads the newspaper on the couch.

Jake: Good morning!

Vicky: Really Jake?

Jake: It’s a great day isn’t it?

Vicky: You came back home very late, and I was worried about you…and Donna.

Jake: And why were you worried about Donna?

Vicky: You see how she was when she left the hospital. I have never seen her that angry.

Jake: Well chalk that up to your dear old grandfather. He has a knack for bringing out the worst in people.

Vicky: Did you go there?

Jake: Where?

Vicky: Reginald’s suite. Did you go see him last night?

Bridget interrupts when she comes downstairs, with tears in her eyes.

Jake: Baby what’s wrong?

Bridget: It’s horrible.

Vicky: What is it?

Bridget: They found Grandpa Reginald’s dead body in his room.

Vicky and Jake look at each other.

Felicia: Sharlene is John’s wife.

Mitch: Yeah and what does that have to do with anything?

Felicia: John and Sharlene were married when I had an affair with him. I played a big part in their marriage breaking up.

Mitch: They’re back together now.

Felicia: You know the old saying ‘what goes around’? It seems like I’m waiting for it to come around.

Mitch: Oh my God Felicia you’ve gotta forgive yourself for that. It happens almost twenty years ago.

Felicia: And I HAVE Mitch, but I never thought in a million years that I would be a homewrecker, and I’m afraid that someone is going to wreck mine. Sharlene would be the perfect person to do that, since I wrecked hers. I guess that’s why I overreacted.

Mitch hugs Felicia.

Mitch: Look at me. Do you know how long I’ve loved you?

Felicia: Yes…about as long as I’ve loved you.

Mitch: If I hadn’t left Bay City, maybe that affair would never have happened. You’re the love of my life Felicia.

Felicia: And you’re mine.

Mitch: We love each other, and we’re solid. The only people that can break up our marriage…are you and I.

Allen: Where did Marley see them?

Donna: On Reginald’s laptop.

Allen: She could’ve lost her baby.

Donna: Well thank God she didn’t. I know that you and Marley have been getting close.

Allen: She’s been very hospitable to me. She makes me feel like I have a family.

Donna: And you do. You’re my sister’s son.

Allen: After I came back from boarding school, I never felt part of the Montgomery family. My stepmother pretty much hated me because my father got Nicole pregnant.

Donna: Well you have family now. We’re all here for you. Marley, Vicky, and myself. My father was sadistic man, and we turned out nothing like him. Those pictures could have broken up Tyrone and Marley’s marriage. Thank God we were able to convince her that Tyrone and I were not having an affair.

Allen (feeling guilty): Um…there’s something I need to tell you.

Donna: What is it?

Allen: About those…

Donna’s cell phone rings and she answers.

Donna: Hello? (beat) Yes this is Donna Love. (beat) Oh…okay.

She puts her phone down on the table slowly.

Allen: What happened?

Donna: That was the police station. I have to go make a positive I.D.

Allen: Why did they call you?

Donna: Because I’m the next of kin. My father’s dead.

Vicky: I know you loved him.

Bridget: I was gonna go over and ask him if he was responsible for my being kidnapped.

Jake: Do you really think he was gonna tell you the truth?

Bridget: Yes! He wouldn’t lie to me.

Vicky: So you don’t believe your father and me?

Bridget: It doesn’t matter. He’s dead, and I’m gonna miss him.

Jake: Well we’re not.

Vicky: Jake.

Jake: I’m sorry but it’s time you knew the truth about Reginald.

Vicky: Jake this is not the time---

Jake: Reginald was a monster. He ordered you to be kidnapped, and he told your mother and me that we would never see you again. We were worried sick about you! HE caused that!

Bridget: Stop!

Jake: I know you loved Reginald but you are delusional about him. But now I know that he can never kidnap you again. As far as I’m concerned, Reginald got exactly what he deserved.
