After the kids go to bed, Jack calls Carly on her vow to the kids that they're never getting back together. Carly admits that she could have worded it differently, but she doesn't want to give the kids false hope. Jack and Carly discuss how well Parker is doing in counseling, but Carly mentions that Parker still seems a bit confused and rattled and she thinks he should go for a few more sessions. Jack tells Carly that he might not say it much, but he feels an awful lot for her and the children they share. Jack promises that it's not romantic feelings but having a gun pointed at his family, he came to a conclusion that he could have lost everything if it hadn't been for Parker. Carly smiles that maybe he could thank Parker. She's sure that would dispell alot of confusion for him. Jack agrees to talk to him tomorrow.

Despite Holden's protests, Lily books a flight to find Lucy and Johnny herself and get answers regarding Craig's death. Holden tells Lily that it's obvious that Craig never found them or else they would have been on the plane with Craig and Lucinda sure seems adamant that they're out of harm's way. Lily says she owes it to Craig and tells Holden that she'll be back in a few days. Holden tells Lily to take all her time. He won't be here. Lily stops dead in her tracks and asks Holden not to make her choose. After some reluctance from Holden, Lily finally persuades Holden to let her find the evil in Craig everyone else sees on her own. The more he pushes, the more she'll go the other way...he should know that. Holden finally gives Lily his blessing and kisses her goodbye.

Taken back by Meg's morbid question, Emma asks Meg if she miscarried on purpose. Meg denies she would do anything of the sort as she flashes back to throwing herself on Rosanna's car and later, snickering when she intercepted a phone call from Rosanna to Paul. Emma tells Meg that she wants to believe that this innocent life that Meg was bringing into the world was lost out of tragedy and not out of desperation. Meg takes offense, saying that she's not desperate. She would never intentionally miscarry just to drive Rosanna away from Paul. Emma warns Meg that she better be telling the truth because if she finds out otherwise, Meg will be on her own and no child of Emma's. Meg is obviously stung by Emma's harsh words and runs out.

Brad comes by Katie's cottage and tells her that the specialist he knew has retired and apologizes, saying that he'll find a way to get Lyla the medical attention she deserves. Katie tells Brad not to bother because Memorial is developing a cancer ward for area Illinois cancer victims to get treatment. Katie tells Brad that she didn't want to say this for fear of letting him down, but she's been re-evaluating her life lately and she realizes that there's no need for Brad in it. Brad acts brave as he watches Katie get emotional. Later, Henry finds Brad drunk and passed out at the bar at Yo's and takes him home.

Loving the Jack-Carly talk.....

LOL...I know you don't mean to tease me with a Lilden breakup...but damn, I wish Holden would stick to his word! (Yes, I'm giving myself 10 lashes for my snarkiness as penalty!)

xxoo
