We see Victoria getting ready for her date

Victoria: It will be good to see Tom again

Victoria puts on her necklace, then she picks up a picture of Julian

Victoria: We will find your killer Julian I promise!

We see a shot of Zoe sitting at a computer

Zoe: I wonder how you use these things

Zoe types on the keyboard then the computer makes a beeping sound

Zoe: They say you can find out anything on these things, I wonder if I can find out some things about Victoria Paisley

Zoe types some more

Zoe: Internet? Maybe this is what i need

Zoe clicks on the mouse

Zoe: Ok lets get started

We see a shot of The gas station

We see Kane and Leo

Leo: Your name is Kane Kurtz?

Kane: Yes, who are you?

Leo: Me?

Kane: Yes

Leo: Well

Kane: Are you a reporter?

Leo: Reporter? Oh yes

Kane: Oh

Leo: Can I ask you a few questions?

Kane: I don't know, I am in hurry

Leo: This will only take a few minutes

Leo: Let's sit down

Leo and Kane sit down at a bench in the gas station

Kane: Yes

Leo: How is Mr Kurtz?

Kane: He is doing fine now, really well

Leo: Now?

Kane: Yes he was shot in the big shootout

Leo: What?

Kane: Yes

Leo: Do they know who was in charge of this Shootout?

Kane: They don't know but I think it was the mob

Leo: Tom!

Kane: Who?

Leo: Nothing, how is the rest of your family?

Kane: Fine, What do you want to talk to me about anyway?

Leo: Oh just you and your family

Kane: Why? Are you even a reporter?

Leo just looks at Kane

We see a shot of Zoe

Zoe: Here we go

Zoe types some more

Zoe: There is something about Julian's death

Zoe reads the screen

Zoe: Grieving Girlfriend? More like lying bitch, I bet she did kill Julian

Zoe gets mad and smashes the keyboard on the desk

Zoe: And if she did, I will get her just like I did the others!

We see a shot of Victoria

Victoria: Oh Julian, I miss you

Victoria sets Julian's picture back down on the desk

Victoria: You will be at peace soon my love I promise that

Victoria stands and walks over to a chair and gets her jacket

Victoria: Now I must go meet Tom

Victoria leaves her room

We see a shot of Leo

Leo: Yes, I am a reporter

Kane: Then why do you want to talk to me?

Leo: I want to talk to you about your family, The Kurtz family are very infamous in Somerset

Kane: I would not know anything about that I have only known I was a Kurtz for a few years

Leo: Yes, I know that. How old are you son?

Kane: I am 45

Leo: Really

Leo does not speak

Kane: Are you Ok?

Leo: Oh yes, who is your mother son?

Kane: My mother

Leo: Yes

Kane: Her name is Angela, I named my daughter after her

Leo: You have a daughter

Kane: Yes, she is 1 and a half

Leo: How nice

We see Terry walk into the gas station

Leo: So you said Stan is alright

Kane: Yes, he is in the hospital, but should be OK

Kane sees Terry

Kane: Oh there is Stan's wife my aunt Terry

Leo gasps

We see a shot of Zoe sitting at Tom's desk

Zoe: I will avenge your death Julian, I promise you that my love

Zoe starts to look around in Tom's desk. She finds a gun

Zoe: Ah I may need this

Zoe puts the gun in her pocket, then she sees a file that says revenge

Zoe: I wonder what this is

She then sees a the photo album

Zoe: A photo album

Zoe opens it she sees a picture of Julian

Zoe: Julian!

Zoe turns the page sees a picture that has Kurtz written under it

Zoe: The Kurtz's, The mob family?

Zoe turns the page and sees a picture of Victoria, under it is written Victoria Paisley

Zoe: Oh My, so this is her!

Zoe takes out the picture and rips it in half

Zoe: I will get you!

Zoe throws the Pieces of the picture in the garbage, then she grabs the file

Zoe: Now maybe this will tell me what Tom is up to

Zoe opens the file and begins to read

We see a shot of The Somerset Inn

We see Victoria sitting at the table

Victoria: Where are you?

We see Tom walk in

Victoria: Oh there he is

Victoria stands up

Victoria: Hello Tom

Tom: Hello

Victoria and Tom hug

Tom smiles at Victoria

We see a shot of the gas station

Kane: I will be right back

Kane walks over to Terry

Kane: Hello

Terry: Hello Kane, I was just on my way to see Stan

Kane: I see. I was just talking to a reporter

Terry: Really?

Kane: Yes over there

Terry and Kane look over at the bench and there is no one there

Kane: He was just there

Terry: Maybe he was in a hurry

Kane: I wonder where he went?

We see Leo standing outside

Leo: That was close, I can't let anyone see me yet

Leo looks around

Leo: Maybe I should. No! Not yet, I can't trust anyone yet, I can only trust Stan! And that's Who I must go see!

Leo walks away

India: Well, you are

Ellen: I knew you would marry again India, but Robert, Robert Delaney, India?!

India: Don't Start Ellen!

Ellen: Your damn right I am going to start India, you marry that, that, Manwhore

India: Ellen! Don't ever say that again, Manwhore!

Ellen: He is India! And you married him again?

India: I am not listening to this!

Ellen: Yes, You will listen, and i am going to plow this into your hard head!

We see a shot of Mary and Kane's beach house

We see Jill walk to the door and knock, Mary answers the door

Mary: Hello Mother!

Jill walks in and Mary closes the door, Kane is sitting on the couch

Mary: Now mother, we need to talk

Jill: About what?

Mary: You and Kane

Jill: What about it?

Kane: I read about the job openings at Delaney Brands

Jill: Oh!

Mary: Ya oh! You knew Kane needed a job, Why didn't you tell him about the job openings?

Kane: We know why!

Mary: Ya, you thought I would leave Kane if he had no job

Jill: Stop this Mary!

Mary: No! That's the reason you did not tell him isn't it?

Jill: Yes alright! Yes it is!

We see a shot of Zoe Pushing Tom

Zoe: No, Your thats not true, Julian is not dead, he is not

Tom: He is Zoe, Julian is dead, he was murdered!

Zoe: No!

A nurse and doctor run in the room, the doctor grabs Zoe and the nurse gives her a needle. Zoe falls to the ground!

Doctor: You need to leave!

Tom: Ok

Tom leaves the room, the nurse shuts the door

Tom: Wow!

We see a shot Ellen's house

Ellen: You know what Robert is like India, Manwhore!

India: Stop saying that, you know how that sounds coming out of your mouth, werid!

Ellen: I am justing stating the truth, do you know how many women he has been with?

India: Yes Ellen !

Ellen: There was you and god knows how many before you, Then there was Jessica the lounge singer, then there was Lenore Moore, then he had a child with that woman i can't remember her name, a child he did not rise or even see for god knows how many years!

India: Stop this India!

Ellen: Then there was Iris Cory and we all know what happened to her, then that Olivia woman and those three other wives after that, now you again!

India: Yes me, and only me from now on!

Ellen: If you think that India your more dumber then i thought

India: I am leaving

Ellen: Yes, go ahead, but don't come crying to me when that man cheats on you!

Ellen walks into the kitchen

We see a shot of Mary's house

Jill: Yes, that's why i did not tell him alright Mary!

Kane: I knew it! How dare you Jill!

Mary: Yes mother!

Jill: I don't want my daughter with you that's why!

Jill and Mary walk into the kitchen

Mary: I want this to end!

Mary: I want you to give Kane a job!

Jill: What?! No! No!

We see a shot of Tom standing outside Zoe's door, the nurse and doctor come out

Tom: I want to see her again

Doctor: I don't think that's wise

Tom: I need to see her

Nurse: We gave her something strong, she may not even understand you!

Tom: I don't care

Doctor: Fine, 5 minutes!

Tom: Thank you

Tom goes in the room

Zoe is sitting in a chair with her eyes open not moving

Tom: Zoe! I am sorry you had to hear the news from me!

Zoe does not answer

Tom: Julian was murdered Zoe, and his murder is on the hands of Victoria Paisley!

Zoe moves her head and looks at Tom

We see a shot Mary

Mary: You need to give Kane a job mother

Jill: No Mary, I won't!

Mary: Yes Mother, after what you did!

Jill: No!

Mary and Jill walk out of the Kitchen, Kane is standing there holding Angela

Mary walks over and takes Angela

Jill: Fine! Kane if you want a job at Delaney brands you have it!

Kane: Thank you Jill!

Jill: Its fine!

Mary: Thanks Mom!

Jill just looks at Mary

We see a shot Ellen in her kitchen

Ellen: India is dumb, marrying Robert again, that's the stupidest thing that woman has ever done!

We see a shot of India standing outside of Ellen's house

Announcer: This is Somerset

We see a shot of Somerset Hospital

Ginger is hugging the body bag

Ginger: No Tony no! You can't be dead!

Terry: What is going on here?

The nurse who wheeled the body out looks at Terry

Nurse: This woman just grabbed the body bag when i said her name

Terry: Who is this?

Nurse: This is Mrs. Greene

Ginger: What, this is not Tony?

Nurse: No. Mr. Cooper is still in surgery

Kane: Thank god

Ginger: Oh, I am sorry

Terry grabs Ginger, and they walk away, the nurse wheels the body away

Ginger: I am sorry aunt Terry, I thought it was Tony!

Terry: It is fine

Kane walks up to Terry

Kane: How is Stan?

Terry: He is alive Kane

Kane: Yes Ellen told me that, were there any problems

Terry: Yes, look come sit down

Kane: Alright

Terry and Kane sit down, Mary walks up to Kane

Terry: I just talked to the doctor, and he said they got the bullet

Mary: Oh that's good!

Terry: Yes, but the bullet hurt him

Kane: What do you mean?

Terry: The bullet damaged his Spinal Cord

Ginger: Oh no

Terry: He may never move again!

Terry starts to cry

Mary hugs Terry

Terry: I am fine

Ginger walks over to the corner again, Jill walks up to her

Jill: Are you OK Ginger

Ginger: Poor uncle Stan, oh god i hope he will be OK!

Ginger kicks the wall

Ginger: Oh god, who did this to us and why?

We see a shot of the police station in Dallas, we see Jake walk in and walk up to a cop

Jake: Where is the man who shot at me

Cop: Oh Jake, he is in the interrogation room

Jake: Good, I want to talk to him

Jake walks into the interrogation room, he sees Joe sitting there with a cop talking to him

Joe: Hello Mr Edwards

Jake looks at Joe

We see a shot of Victoria on the phone with Tom Conway at her apartment

Victoria: So that's all that happened tonight

Tom: Wow it has been a long night

Victoria: Yes, and it seems to be getting longer by the minute

Tom: Yes I experience that a lot

Victoria: Is there something you I take?

Tom: Sleeping pills

Victoria laughs

Tom: Its good to hear you laugh, the last time we talked you sounded so sad

Tom: Ya, so have you decided when Julian's funeral will be?

Victoria does not speak

Victoria: No, Well I think I might have it in Somerset

Tom: Somerset?

Victoria: I was talking to Ellen Grant

Tom: Ellen Grant, how is she?

Victoria: Oh she's well, I was talking to her and she thinks I should bury him there

Terry walks up to Ginger

Terry: I am glad He is OK Ginger

A nurse walks up to Ginger

Nurse: Mrs Cooper?

Ginger: Yes?

Nurse: If you come this way you can see your husband

Ginger: Oh thank you

Ginger and the nurse walk away

Terry: I wonder when I will see Stan

Mary: Soon Terry

Terry: I hope so

We see a shot of Victoria in her apartment

Victoria: Ya I think I will have it in Somerset

Tom: Good Vicky

Victoria: Look Tom, I think I will leave you go

They hang up

We see Tom, he picks a newspaper, it is the Somerset Register

Kyle leaves the room, Terry walks up to Stan in the bed. She gets a chair, and sits down and holds his hand

Terry: Please Stan! Please wake up

Victoria: So I am going back to Somerset. God I hope nothing else bad happens!

We see a shot of Joe and Jake in the interrogation room

Joe: Don't I get one phone call

Jake: Ya, but you will answer my questions one way or another

Jake walks out of the room, he walks up to a cop

Jake: Bring him to the phone for his phone call

Cop: Fine

The cop walks into the interrogation room, takes Joe out. He brings him to the phone and walks away, Joe picks up the phone and dials a number

Joe: Hello, boss, Ya, I am in the can I need help, what do you mean come back to Somerset? Well get me out of here first! Help is on the way, good! Ya, fine. Goodbye!

Joe hangs up the phone

Joe: I will be out of here soon, then I will Finish what I started

Joe: And you can say goodbye Jake Edwards

Episode 15

Announcer: This is Somerset

We see a shot of the Somerset Inn. We see Ellen, Jill, Kane, Ginger, Tony and Mary sitting at one big table!!

Mary: I wonder when Stan and Terry will get here

Jill: Maybe they are held up in traffic

Ellen: Traffic! In Somerset, what happened did a milk truck get a flat tire!

Everyone laughs except Jill

Ellen: So Ginger dear, how has life been treating you?

Ginger: Oh pretty well Ellen.

Ellen: Good

Ginger looks at Tony

Ginger: It was going good till I saw Kane

Kane and Mary look at Ginger

Kane: What is your problem Ginger?

Ginger: Was I talking to you Kane?

Kane: No but you were talking about me

Ginger: I bet I am not the only one

Jill laughs

Ellen slaps Jill on the hand

Ellen: Stop

Kane: What does that mean Ginger!?

Mary: Kane calm down

Tony: And you stop this Ginger

Kane: No Tony, If you have something to say to me Ginger just say it

Ginger: I do have something to say to you

Ginger, Kane , Mary and Tony all starting talking very loud. People at the restaurant look at them.

Jill: Would you guys stop this now

Ellen puts her hands on her ears

We see Terry and Stan walk in. They see what is happening at the table

Terry: Oh not again

We see Ellen sitting there with her hands on her ears. A waiter walks over and talks to Ellen

Waiter: What is going on?

Ellen: What?

Kane and Ginger get louder

Waiter: I said what is going on?

Ellen: What? Hang on.

Ellen stands up

Ellen: Would you all shut up!!!

Everyone stops talking

Ellen: Thank you

Ellen sits back down

Ellen: Now what did you say?

The waiter looks up roles his eyes and walks away

Ellen: Well!

Jill looks at Ellen

We see a shot of Sergeant Jones is his office in Dallas! He is still talking to Detective Harper in Somerset. Joe is in the next office ready to shot Sergeant Jones

Sergeant Jones: Do you really think you know who killed Julian Cannell?

Joe looks at Sergeant Jones with his loaded gun in his hand

Detective Harper: Yes!

Sergeant Jones: Well who?

Detective Harper: The mob

Sergeant Jones: What? I just said that

Detective Harper: Yes I know but you do not know what mob

Sergeant Jones: You are confusing me Detective

Joe: What the hell are they talking about?

Detective Harper: Sorry Sergeant Jones

Sergeant Jones: I thought you had a name

Detective Harper: I do

Sergeant Jones: Well who?

Detective Harper: Mr Big

We see a shot of Victoria sitting in her apartment in Dallas

Victoria: Oh maybe I should call Ellen back now!

Victoria picks up the phone,but then looks over and sees some dead flowers. Victoria hangs up the phone, and walks over and takes the dead flowers out of the vase they are in

Victoria: You gave me these Julian just last week

Victoria walks over and sits down. She looks at the flowers then looks at the phone

Victoria: Oh I feel so alone without you Julian! Oh god maybe Ellen is right maybe I should go back to Somerset!

We see a shot of Sergeant Jones at his desk

Sergeant Jones: Who is Mr Big?

Detective Harper: The last crime boss we had in Somerset

Sergeant Jones: Did he have any other name

Detective Harper: Yes Dan Briskin

Sergeant Jones: Dan Briskin

Joe looks up at Sergeant Jones

Sergeant Jones: Look Detective I am going to try and find out all I can on this Dan Briskin And I will Call you back

Detective Harper: Alright

Sergeant Jones hangs up the phone. Then picks it up again and dials a number

Sergeant Jones: Ya Jake, it is me again I need a favour. Ya find out all you can on a Dan Briskin he is from Somerset Illinois! Ya Thanks

Sergeant Jones Hangs up the phone

Joe Looks at Sergeant Jones from the next office

Joe: Oh Sergeant Jones you are so far from the truth

We see a shot of the Somerset Inn

We see Stan and Terry now at the table with the rest

Terry: So what was happening when we walked in

Mary: Nothing

Kane: It was Ginger's mouth

Ginger: Oh shut up

Mary: Kane

Tony: Ginger! You two stop behaving like children and more like adults

Mary: Ya

Kane and Ginger look at each other

A waiter walks over to the table

Waiter: Is everything alright now

Jill: Just fine

Mary: Yes everything is fine

Waiter: Good! Well can I take your order

Ginger: Yes I am ready

Kane: Me too

Waiter: What will you have

Ginger and Kane just look at each other

Waiter: Hello

Ginger: Oh sorry I will have the chicken

Tony: Same here

Mary: Another chicken here

Kane: I will have the lobster

Waiter: Good choice

Ellen: Chicken

Stan: Fish

Terry: Lobster

Kane: And you can bring us some red wine

Waiter: Alright

The waiter walks away

Ginger: I like White wine

Tony: Ginger shut up

Ginger: What?

Kane laughs

Ginger just looks at Kane

We see a shot of Sergeant Jones in his office. There is a knock at the door

Sergeant Jones: Come in

Jake walks in

Jake: It is me. I have the info you wanted

Sergeant Jones: That was fast

Jake: Well I did not have to look to hard

Sergeant Jones: Why

Jake: Well Dan Briskin is Dead!

Sergeant Jone: What

Joe laughs

Sergeant Jones: Well that is great! That puts us back were we started

Jake: Not really

Sergeant Jones: What do you mean by that

Jake: Well I found another name

Sergeant Jones: What name

Jake walks over to Sergeant Jones and hands him a paper

Jake: That name

Jake points at the paper

Joe looks around the corner to try and see the name

Sergeant Jones: Oh god! I heard of this man before! Look Jake find out all you can on this man

Jake: Ok

Jake turns to walk away

Sergeant Jones: Wait!

Jake: What

Sergeant Jones: Here

Sergeant Jones writes down something on a note pad

Sergeant Jones: The name so you won't forget it

Jake: Ok

Jake walks out of the office

Sergeant Jones picks up the phone and calls Detective Harper again

Sergeant Jones: Detective Harper please! Hello Detective

Detective Harper: Hello Sergeant Jones

Sergeant Jones: Detective I think I found Julian's killer

Detective Harper: Who! Really I think I heard that name before

Sergeant Jones: That is what I said

Joe Heard Sergeant Jones say the name

Joe: Oh my god he knows

Sergeant Jones: Look I am going to go see Victoria Paisley, Julian's Girlfriend and tell her what I found. I will Call you back

Detective Harper: Ok! Bye

Sergeant Jones: Bye

Sergeant Jones hangs up the phone

Sergeant Jones: I think I just found a killer

Sergeant Jones Gets up grabs his jacket and leaves his office

Joe walks out of the next office and takes out his cell phone. He calls Tiny in Somerset

Joe: Hello Tiny

Tiny: Ya

Joe: The cops know everything

Tiny: Damn

Joe: You know what we have to do

Tiny: Ya

Joe: Good do it!Bye

Tiny: Bye

Joe hangs up and walks out of the office and out of the police station

Tiny: I know what I have to do get rid of the Kurtz's and that Detective

Tiny takes out his phone and makes a call

Tiny: Hello! Ya did you follow the Kurtz's? Good well you can make the Hit!

Announcer: And now the conclusion of Somerset

We see a shot of the Somerset Inn

Ellen: I think I am going to go to the ladies room before dinner comes

Jill: Ok mother

Ellen gets up and walks to the bathroom

As Time Goes By starts playing

Kane: Would you like to dance Mary

Mary: Yes I would

Mary and Kane get up and start dancing

Tony: Would you like to dance Ginger

Ginger: Yes

Tony and Ginger get up and start dancing

Stan: They all look so nice out on the dance floor

Terry: Ya

Terry and Stan hold hands

Jill just watches

We see a shot of Sergeant Jones driving in his car! He takes out his head set and calls Victoria

We see Victoria Sitting there holding the dead flowers! The Phone rings, she picks it up

Victoria: Hello

Sergeant Jones: Hello Victoria, it is Sergeant Jones

Victoria: What do you want?

Sergeant Jones: I think I know who killed Julian

Victoria: What?

We see a shot of Detective Harper in his Office

Detective Harper: Maybe this is the same person who is after Leo Kurtz!

Detective Harper picks up the phone and calls Kane and Mary's beach house

Detective Harper: Hello is Kane Kurtz there? He is not! Well where is he? The Somerset Inn, thank you!

Detective Harper hangs up the phone

Detective Harper: I have to go talk to the Kane Kurtz

Detective Harper gets up and walks out of his office

We see a shot of Victoria on the phone

Victoria: You know who killed Julian! Who

Sergeant Jones: Look I am on my way to your home now, I will Tell you more when I get there

Victoria: Ok! Bye

Victoria Hangs up the phone

Victoria: Oh my god !

We see The Somerset Inn. As Time Goes By is still Playing and the same People are dancing.

We see two masked Men walk in with guns,they start shooting. Kane and Mary fall to the floor.

Stan stands up and he gets shot in the back and falls down. Terry screams And falls down. Jill goes under the table. Tony is shot and he falls Ginger falls next to him.

We see Detective Harper walk out of the Police station in Somerset. We see Tiny. He jumps out from behind a tree and shots Detective Harper.

We see Sergeant Jones,he gets out of a car. He is outside of Victoria's apartment building, We see Joe Jump out from Behind some bushes, he shots Sergeant Jones and Sergeant Jones falls to the ground. Victoria is in her apartment, she heard the shot, she looks up at the window.

We see the shooters at the Somerset Inn they stop shooting and run out

As Time Goes By Ends

We see Ellen walk out of the restroom. She walks into the Restaurant and sees everyone laying on the floor.

Ellen: Oh My God!

No one is moving

Ellen: Is anyone alive?!

Announcer: This is Somerset

For the people who have no idea what somerset is here is some great info

somerset came about when the people at nbc wanted to expand there enormously popular soap another world from 30 minutes to 1 hour but back then the idea of a 1 hour soap was just that an idea,the people in the soap world thought no one would sit and watch one soap for 1 hour.So after much talk nbc and p&g(procter and gamble) decided to create a new series closely identified with the high rated another world.The result was another world-somerset.The show was created and written by robert cenedella.Another world-somerset had alot in common with it's sister soap,it had the same theme music the same logo and same announcer plus four characters from another world-bay city went over to another world-somerset those characters were missy matthews,rickey matthews,sam lucas and lahoma vane lucas.But unfortunately the show was not doing well with no clear theme or identity of its own another world-somerset neilson rating was not very good prompting nbc to make drastic changes.Less then 1 year after its premiere somerset servered ties with another world.A new logo and theme song were commissioned while the shows title was simply shortened to somerset.Nbc and procter and gamble both noticed how well the edge of night was doing so procter and gamble decided to hire edge's head writer henery slesar to revamp the program into a crime/mystery soap.In no time murders,rapes and other criminal acts infiltrated the small town of 40,000.Henery slesar penned many memorable storylines like the jasper delaney murder and the gothic toned mystery surrounding aundrea moore's eccentric family.Within months of the revamp somerset's view audience rose from 5 million to 7 million viewers daily.The shows rating stayed healthy for the next three years but 7 million people a day was not good enough ratings for nbc who still had faith that the show could become a monster hit.In late 1973 the network decided to replace henery slesar with veteran soap creator roy winsor.He returned the show to its traditional roots.Winsors writing failed and the ratings began to slip.Nbc panicked and winsor was dismissed.durning the next year somerset endured no more then 3 different writing regimes.Each successive set of writers managed to destroy the program's coutinuity as characters and stories wandered aimlessly.By 1975 audience defections were legion and affilates began droping the show.

somerset future appeared brighter when vetren writer robert j shaw assumed head writing duties in early 1976.He managed to pull all the stories togther with a complex plot in which organized crime once again gained control of somerset.Hoping to recapture some of its lost audience nbc mad the unprecedented move of telecasting the serial twice a day in its regular spot and in a special noon-time feed for affilites who wanted to counter-program local newscasts.Also with three future superstars in its cast(sigourney weaver,jobeth williams and ted danson) helped to bring make the ratings move upwards but it was to late.AT the end of 1976 nbc cancelled somerset sending it to soap opera heaven.The show nbc replaced somerset with was lovers and friends which had far more worse ratings then somerset and was cancelled less then five months after its premiere

i was so upset when nbc cancelled somerset it was so sad that a great soap like this which had so much going for it was cancelled to put on a bad show like lovers and friends.I think if nbc gave somerset 1 more year and robert j shaw stayed on as head writer the show could of brought back most of its lost audience and lasted for many more years .
