Well, since you always know how everyone feels and what they think, I knew some comment such as this would be forthcoming. This is what i would expect for someone who puts everyone in groups because they are so closed-minded they can't deal with any one person in a direct way. Agreed. Women are the biggest vote in this country, and the way republicans nationwide have treated them in the last 5 years has been quite horrible. Democrats need to run campaigns based in truth, because Lord knows Republicans only care about lying outright and running the sleaziest campaigns, going after someone personally and not their policies.

This is true. I guess they want limited government when it comes to financial matters. I mean hell, both parties get millions under the table from Big Whatever but Republicans seem to get downright apoplectic when anyone says they should have their taxes raised. And then, you ask one of them why they are upset and the say whatever they heard on television. I still remember the Real Time segment where these people refused to consider voting for Pres. Obama even after they were told that they could received better healthcare at a more affordable rate. And it also goes back to what i heard the former reporter from the Russian station say that 90% of what we read, hear and watch news wise is controlled by 6 major corporations. It's like Equilibrium meets Network.

The hypocrisy of some in the RP....use religious freedom legislation to discriminate against Americans. But, I thought Republicans don't want government in people's homes, and don't want government to tell them how to live their lives.

I just want to ask just a handful of these Republicans why is it so important for them to know someone's sexual orientation? So many things since the beginning of man has been used from the Bible to justify some of the most evil things that man has done to his fellow man. Yes, if the GOP had the chance black Americans would be in chains. Religious freedom laws? So someone who can't keep their nose in their own business can pick two people of the same sex and refuse service to those two based on IF they seem gay or not. Not one Democrat has created legislation like that, Republicans do. How many Democrats have created legislation that would intrude on a woman's body? And what gender are these Republicans? Not every conservative is a Republican of course. Many conservatives vote for Democratic candidates. I think that gets lost on a few in this thread because they want to pus the "all Democrats are liberals" mess. How many Republican controlled WHs and Congresses have actually balanced a but? How many have brought down the national debt? We had a Republican-led WH & Congress from 2000-2006 and not one spending bill was vetoed. We're still paying down what the Bush admin. and that Congress left us with. So let's remember some of these things when we talk about these things.

What really chaps my azz is this "Well you all never call out Democrats" crap that still seems to be the consistent theme by some in this thread. MHP actually said how sorry she was at something that was taken in a negative light. When was the last time ANY far right wing celeb apologize for the truly evil and hateful things they have said...and continue to say...about any progressive? I also continue to see the racial hatred of our current POTUS. All I've ever asked is that he be judged fairly (there is plenty factual material that he can be blasted on) but all i still seem to read in this thread is THE most hateful things about the man without one shred of proof. Then if he isn't gone after, well then let's attack his family, because "well no one said anything about the far left when they attacked Bush's family" which by that disgusting reasoning makes it ok. Those persons in this thread feel not only do they speak for an entire segment of our society, they don't want to even consider what someone with a differing opinion might be saying. They just come in, make really silly comments based on lies and their own personal hatred, and then want to call out anyone who won't agree with them. Hopefully this year we will get rid of many of these elected officials (and I haven't heard one word about voter laws past by Republican-led state houses that makes it almost impossible for minorities to vote) and get some people in there, regardless of the party, who will actually work towards the betterment of our country.

I would rather have Al as a spokesman for the DP than who the GOP have for their party. Limbaugh, Hannity, O'Reilly, everyone else at FN, Savage, Ingraham....the list goes on, and all they do is wallow in lies and bigotry just to make a buck.

It seems to me that the only person some want to bring up is Al Sharpton. The man is a advocate for everyone in this country regardless of race creed or sexual preference, yet that somehow means we who enjoy him should vilify him. On top of that, those who never have a kind word to say about the man either can't come up with anything they don't like to prove their point or that go back 35 years to the Brauwly incident. That's why I just find those people funny. They are still being hateful for really no reason, especially to the POTUS because they can't stand the fact a black man is president. sad really.
