Shayne Lewis entered Company and noticed Marah sitting in a booth at the back of the restaurant.
“Hey sis! Why’d you want to eat dinner here? Doesn’t the Santos mansion have a cook?” Shayne joked as he sat down.
“Ha. Ha. You’re such a little twerp Shayne. For your information, the mansion does have a cook. A fine one at that.”
“Probably not as good as mom’s cooking,” Shayne hinted.
Marah bristled at the thought of her mother. “Don’t try to coax me back to hearth and home Shayne. I’m not going back there. Ever.”
Shayne realized that he has struck a nerve and dropped the topic.
“I haven’t seen you in a while, little brother. How are you doing?” Marah asked.
“Everything’s great,” Shayne half-heartedly replied.
“Are you sure everything’s fine?”

Gus Aitoro sat at his desk at the police station staring at a picture of Joe Augustino. “Roy Baker, my father?” he silently pondered. His ringing cell phone broke his concentration. He picked it up and looked at the number.
“Hello?”
“Nicky! It’s Eden.”
“Eden! I was wondering when you were going to call me. Are you okay?”
“I’m fine, Nicky. Don’t worry about me. Nicky, I’ve missed you so much.”
“I have too sis. So when do you want me come get you and bring you back to Springfield?”
“Actually Nicky, my plans have changed. I’m not going back to Springfield…”

Alan-Michael Spaulding returned home to his Beacon suite and saw his wife Lucy Cooper lying on the sofa. The sound of the closing door woke Lucy from a blissful sleep.
“Hey sweetheart, I’m home!” Alan-Michael said and stooped down to kiss his wife.
“You won’t believe what happened to Phillip Lucy! My brother went off and got himself married!”
“Married?! To whom?” Lucy asked as she hurriedly got off the sofa.
“To BETH! You’d think that after so many years, she would learn,” A-M joked.
“Oh Alan-Michael,” Lucy reprimanded. “So when did they get married?”
“A couple nights ago, they went to Las Vegas without telling anyone. They must have realized that no one would show up at their fiftieth wedding.”
“Well, I think it’s romantic,” Lucy replied.
“Yeah, I guess so. You know Lucy this really makes me glad to be home close to family. Maybe we should stay here longer…”
“No, Alan-Michael!” Lucy interrupted. “I’ve made up my mind. I’m not staying in Springfield!”

Holly took a seat on the sofa and rubbed her head again, “Blake, you are everything to me, my entire world. I love you so much and I would never, never…” she stood to face her daughter, “do anything to hurt you. I swear it.”
“So…” the truth slowly began to dawn on her, “the two of you, aren’t having an affair?”
Holly’s eyes closed and she felt lightheaded, “Blake…” she tried to speak but collapsed to the floor.
“Oh my God!” Blake rushed to her side, “Mom! Mom? Oh my God, Mom can you hear me?” Tears swelled in her eyes, “Ross, call an ambulance. Mom!”

“MOM!”
Holly suddenly stirred and opened her eyes.
“Mom, are you okay?!” Blake asked.
“Y-Yeah. I’m alright. I just felt a bit light-headed.”
Holly stands up and puts her hand on her head. Ross and Blake guide her to the sofa.
“Mom, you scared the hell out of me! Now what is wrong?”
“I’m fine, Blake. I just had a bit of a migraine. I felt light-headed and fainted for a bit. But I’m okay now.”
“Holly, your migraines are back? When did they return?” Ross asked.
“They returned a couple of days ago. I don’t know why. I haven’t had them for about a year, but all of a sudden they came back,” Holly answered.
“Mom, why don’t we take you to the hospital and ask Ed to check you out?”
“No! I can handle these migraines by myself. They aren’t as a big a deal as they were before. Now that I’ve finished trying to clear the air, what I need is to go home, take some medicine, and cuddle up in my bed.”
“Mom, why don’t I drive you home?” Blake offered.
“Thanks sweetheart, but no. I think I can drive home by myself.”
Holly begins to leave, but turns around and looks at Blake.
“Blake, try to give him a chance. He loves you. Don’t shut the door on your love. God knows, I need to learn that lesson myself.”
Holly walks out, leaving Ross and Blake alone.

“Why would you think anything was wrong?” Shayne asked Marah
“Well, a couple days ago, I talked with Tammy and she told me that you seemed a bit detached, like you weren’t interested in the things you used to be.”
“Well, she’s wrong,” Shayne, stammered.
“Are you suggesting that Tammy was lying, Shayne? Is there a problem at school? Is mom getting on your case? Are you having girl trouble? Shayne, you know that you can tell me if you have a problem, I’m your sister!”
“God Marah, what is this Jeopardy!? There is nothing going on.”
“I’m just trying to help!” Marah yelled.
“Well don’t! I don’t need any help because there is nothing going on! What about you Marah? What about your life? You think my life has issues? What about yours?! I’ve never stripped down to my underwear and begged my thuggish boyfriend to rape me! I mean, God Marah, why don’t you just go jump in a fountain already and get it over with?!”
“What are you trying to say?!” Marah thundered.
“I’m saying that you are more like mom than you care to admit. You’re pushy, you’re stubborn, and you pry into people’s lives…”
“I don’t have to listen to this.” Marah gets up from her seat and begins to walk out.
“…And when the game doesn’t seem to be going your way, YOU want to stop playing…”
Shayne watched as Marah charged to the door. Shayne glanced at the empty seat.
“Not everything is about you Marah. I wish I could tell you sis, but you just wouldn’t understand…”

“Nicky, I can’t come back to Springfield,” Eden confessed.
“Why can’t you?”
“I got a new job in Chicago and it’s helped me to put my life back together. I think that’s what I need right now: a fresh start.”
“You could get a fresh start here in Springfield…”
“No, I couldn’t. Not with the entire town against me. I need to be where people don’t know me. Except you, of course, Nicky. Actually, that’s why I called. Could you come and help me move in? I can give you the grand tour. It isn’t much yet, but… I really think I can make a difference here.”
“Sure, Harley and I can come up this weekend.”
“Actually…I would prefer if Harley not know where I was. Could you come up alone?”
“Why don’t you want Harley to come, Eden? You are going to have to see her sooner or later.”
“Why would Harley want to come up with everything that has happened? It’s better if she just not know.”
“Okay,” Gus reluctantly conceded. “I’ll talk to her and I’ll be on the first train to Chicago.”
“Thanks Nicky.”
“I love you sis.” Gus ended the phone call and wondered whether or not he should have told Eden about his parentage.

“I’m sorry Alan-Michael, but I won’t stay here,” Lucy argued.
“Why not? Our families are here, everything we know is here. Europe is a great place, don’t get me wrong, but I always felt that there was something missing between us there. Maybe being here is exactly what we need to help our marriage?”
“I don’t know. I just fell in love with the countryside. It was like a new chance to get away from all the painful memories here.”
“Honey, you might have to get used to it,” A-M confessed. “I sold our flat in Europe and my father has already given my job to someone else.”
“You did all this without me?” Lucy’s face turned blood red. “Why couldn’t you have asked for my input before shipping me off like one of your possessions?”
“Honey, I…”
“Don’t you dare honey me. You can’t stick me under your thumb like your father does. Hell, he probably put you up to this didn’t he? Well, you and Alan can go straight to hell, darling.”
Lucy stormed out of the suite, while A-M tried to find the words to justify his doings.

Blake and Ross stare at each other, wondering who will be the first to break the ice.
“Not that you know the truth, Blake. Where do we stand? What do we do now?”
“You didn’t cheat on me again, Ross?”
“No, I didn’t. I love you. Not Holly, not Tory, not anyone else,” Ross confirmed.
“I know I should feel relieved, but I don’t. Ross, why didn’t you tell me? I could have helped. I mean, our relationship has been one lie after another, and I know that I have had more than my fair share. But I was hoping that after everything we’ve been through, we could try to tell each other everything. But I guess that isn’t possible.”
Blake looked at her watch and realized how late it is.
“Ross, I need to go get the kids from Cassie and when I get back, I don’t want you here. I just, I just need a little bit of time to think things through. Can you give me that?”
Ross nodded as Blake puts on her coat and leaves. Ross turned to the table and picked up a family portrait. He held it up and tenderly kissed it.

Gus and Harley kissed and sneaked into bed. Gus tried to find the words to delicately tell her about Eden’s phone call.
“Harley, I got a phone call from my sister today. She’s got a new job in Chicago that she seems really excited about. She asked me to come up this weekend to help her move in. I told her I was going to bring you along, but she said that she’d prefer you not to come. I hope it’s okay?
“Oh. I guess it’s no surprise. It’s not as if Eden and I have been friendly since she came to town.”
Harley flashes back to when Phillip caught her snooping around Alexandra’s office. She decides to put up a good front so that she can get closer to Vera.
“I think you should go Gus. It’ll be good for you to see your sister. Don’t worry about me. With Zach home again, I want to spend as much time as I can with him.”
“Well that was easy,” Gus smiled. “I thought you’d fight me tooth and nail Cooper. Thanks for understanding.”
Gus and Harley kissed and turned the light off for the night.

Alan-Michael sat in the sofa drinking a glass of wine to drown his sorrows. Suddenly, someone knocked on the front door. A-M opened it and saw that it was a messenger with a package. A-M opened the package and read the letter:
“Alan-Michael, As you know, I have been suddenly called away on urgent business and that it has left the company in dire straights. Included in this letter is my proxy, naming you as the temporary COO of the company. I hope that I can count on you. Alexandra.”
Alan-Michael looked up from the letter with a smirk.

“What’s going on?” Holly asked slowly, “I could hear you yelling from the car.”
“Good!” Blake answered, “Ross and I are having a fight…”

Vanessa Chamberlain Reardon pulled open her suite door and saw her baby boy standing before her all grown up, a smile wiped across her face and she opened her arms.
“Oh Little Bill.” She sighed as she squeezed him extra tight, “Oh I’m so happy to see you.”
Bill kissed her on the cheek and spoke, “You realize that no one calls me that anymore, don’t you.”
“I’m your mother honey, I’ll call you that until the day I die.” Vanessa beamed, “I’m so glad you were able to make it home before I left.”
“Me too. You never actually told me why you’re in Springfield. Did you come back for Maureen?”
Vanessa shook her head, “Of course. Every year. Do you want some coffee, a soda, perhaps?”
“I’m fine, you however owe me an explanation? What is so urgent that I rushed home from Tulsa for?”
“What has been your relationship with Michelle lately?” Vanessa asked, “Your father told me that the two of you were dating since her divorce from Danny.” She paused and recalled Michelle and Nola at the cemetery, “Honey have you and Michelle slept together?”

"What would you gentlemen like this afternoon?" A waitress at Olivia's bar asked brothers Alan-Michael and Phillip Spaulding.
"Scotch on the rocks for me and what are you drinking these days Alan-Michael?"
"Scotch sounds all right by me." Alan-Michael handed the waitress his credit card, "And why don't you go ahead and open us up a tab while you're at it."
"Of course." The waitress hurried off to get the orders leaving the two newly reunited Spaulding men alone.
"It appears Europe agrees with you and Lucy. The two of you never looked happier." Phillip was met with an unsettling grin from his little brother, "Or is that just a front?"
"Looks are deceiving Phillip, you of all people should know that." He smiled at the waitress as she set the drinks down and handed Alan-Michael his credit card back, "Lucy loves Europe, loves it!”
“It’s not for you?” Phillip asked.
“At first it was, yeah, but the novelty wears off. At least it did for me anyway.”
Phillip shook his head and polished off his scotch, “I can imagine that your dislike for your current situation hasn’t been healthy for your marriage.”
“Things are okay but not great like when we first married.”
“Change of scenery maybe?” Phillip asked, “Have you and Lucy considered a move…”
“Back to Springfield?” Alan-Michael interrupted, “You would have thought I asked for a divorce Phillip.” He told her, “Hell just getting her to agree to this visit was hard.”
“Buzz and her family is here so why was it so hard?”
“All of you actually. Lucy is afraid that if I step back into this world that I’ll be sucked in.”
“And are you?”
“I hate the European offices, Lucy knows that but she just refuses to see my point of view. I want to move back to Springfield, I want to work side by side with the rest of you, I’ve been out of touch with Springfield and the family for far too long and Phillip, you’re right her family is here. I just don’t get my wife sometimes.”
Across the bar Olivia shoved open the door to the bar and took a quick look around. In the far corner she spotted her stepson Phillip with a dark hair man whom she seen before, but never met.
“Who’s your friend Phillip?” Olivia purred in sexy tone and devious smile on her lips, “I’ve seen you before but I don’t think we’ve ever had the pleasure. Olivia Spencer Spaulding.”

Lillian Raines sat her coffee cup down, “Has Alan mentioned anything about the Cedars project?”
Beth looked across the table, “I don’t know what you’re talking about mom.”
“Have you not read a newspaper Beth? Cedars is finally approved the much needed renovations. The board decided to offer the project to both Spaulding Enterprise and Lewis Construction a few days ago.”
She shook her head, “I don’t know anything about it, I’m sorry. Alan hasn’t mentioned anything but I don’t see Alan much lately since Alexandra left town.”
“I saw her the day after you and Phillip left for Las Vegas and something was not right with her, she was acting suspicious, more than usual of course.”
“Of course.” Beth smiled and signed the credit card receipt. “You said Lewis has a shot at the project?”
“Mm-hhm.” Lillian answered, “Oh no, I know what you’re thinking…”
“Billy Lewis is a fine man mother. You could do worse.”
“I have done worse. But Billy and I just friends, we’ve known one another for a very long time, end of story.”
“Right.” Beth smiled, “For now I’m sure, but I could see something more happening there, if you would just pursue it a little more diligently.”
“Oh yes, of course like you pursued Phillip?”
“Don’t you turn this around on me.”
“Oh, well of course I am, I’m your mother and that’s what I do best.” She didn’t miss a beat, “Have you and Phillip told Lizzie you’ve remarried yet?”

“I’ll go.” Holly volunteered.
“Oh no you won’t.” Blake informed her, “You’re going to stay right here and tell me everything, mother.”
“Blake thinks that you and I…” Ross began.
“Shut…your…mouth Ross.” Blake cut him off, “Not one more word. Do you understand?”
“Blake what’s going on?”
“Like you don’t already know?” She asked, “Are you sleeping with him? Because he says you’re not but I got some damning pictures that looks like you are, mom!”
Holly rubbed her throbbing forehead and asked, “Sleeping with Ross? Oh God Blake, do you really think that I would do that to you?”
“You’ve done a whole lot worse.” She reminded her, “Ross told me his version of the story, so please, by all means out with mom. Are you sleeping with him?”
Holly shook her head, “No, Blake, I’m not sleeping with Ross. And I can’t even believe that you would think such thing. Do you honestly believe that I would inflict that kind of torture on you?” Holly asked.
“Then explain…” Blake reached for her pictures, “explain these pictures.”

“What?!” Bill was shocked, “Seriously? Mom? Do not tell me that I rushed home and left my job just so you could grill me about my sex life?”
“I know how it sounds son, but I happened upon some serious information the other day and…just answer the question Bill. Yes or no?”
Bill gritted his teeth and asked, “I’m not going to answer that, I’m sorry. My personal life, who I sleep with is none of your business mom.”
“If she’s carrying your child son, then I’m sorry, but it is my business.”
“What did you say?” Bill questioned, “Michelle’s pregnant?”
“I overheard her and Nola talking at the cemetery.” Vanessa touched Bill’s arm, “Honey she said that she was unsure of who the father was, you or Danny Santos.”
“You’re mistaken. Michelle’s not pregnant, she can’t be.” Bill muttered under his breath.
“So you did and her…”
“Yeah.” Bill answered, “We did.”
“And she’s not bothered to tell you yet?”
“No. She left a few months ago with Ed, the went to Washington D.C. and the two of us haven’t seen one since she’s gotten back.” Bill headed towards the door, “I need to get some air, I’ll be back.”
“Bill…Little Bill.” Vanessa called after him but he kept walking and she sighed heavily.

“Olivia this my brother, your stepson, Alan-Michael.”
A light triggered in her head, “Of course, little Alan-Michael, I’ve seen pictures. And your father was supposed to introduce the other day at the board meeting but he had more pressing things to take care of.”
“Yes as a matter of fact he did.” Alan-Michael replied, “Phillip’s been getting me up to speed on everything that’s been happening around here.”
“Well your brother here is delight.” Olivia cut her brown eyes at him and smiled, “Can I buy you boys another round?”
“No actually I think we’re fine Olivia.” Phillip answered.
“I wasn’t talking to you honey. Alan-Michael why don’t you walk me over to the bar buy me a club soda and we’ll get to know one another, better.”
Alan-Michael glanced at Phillip in an attempt to say, ‘Save me.’
“We were just about to leave Olivia.” Phillip cut in, “Alan-Michael has to meet his wife, he’s married, much like you and myself.”
“What?” Olivia questioned, her tone much different than before, “Did you say you’re married?”
“Phillip?” Alan-Michael questioned. “When did this happen?”
“Last week.” He answered, “Beth and I went to Las Vegas, spur of the moment and tied the knot.”
“Well…isn’t that just icing on the cake.” Olivia muttered under her breath and walked away towards the bar. “If you’ll excuse me.”
Both men watched the very pregnant woman walk away and Alan-Michael asked, “There’s more than meets the eye with you two isn’t there?”
Phillip shook his head, “You have no idea.”
“Mrs. Spaulding would you like a drink?” The waitress asked, “Mrs. Spaulding.”
“Club soda with lime please.” Olivia replied as she watched them leave the bar. “The bitch actually listened to me…” she said under her breath, “damn!”

Beth Raines Spaulding shook her head, “We’re not having this discussion again. Lizzie is our daughter and we’ll tell her in due time.”
“In due time? That’s wonderful, it really is Beth.” Lillian tossed her napkin on the table, “Let me ask you something what are you so afraid of?”
“I’m not afraid of anything mom. Lizzie just got back from boarding school and she’s adjusting to a new school, college classes at Springfield University, making new friends and I just don’t think that dumping this in her lap before she’s ready is a good idea.” Beth sipped the rest of her coffee, “And my husband happens to agree with me.”
“Beth…”
“Mother, we’ve had a very pleasant afternoon, let’s not ruin it with another fight about my marriage and my daughter. Please.”
“Fine.” Lillian gave in, “But I’m just going to say this one last thing.”
“And what is that?”
“You and Lizzie have been on shaky ground since your relationship with Bill Lewis and I would just hate for her to find out from someone else that her parents have gotten married again and kept it from her.”
“You worry far to much.” Beth sighed.

Flipping through them Holly shook her head, “That’s his suite at The Beacon, his home.” She answered, “An opportunity arose for Ross to get his position back at Springfield University, I was helping him. That’s all.” Holly took a seat on the sofa and rubbed her head again, “Blake, you are my everything, my entire world. I love you so much and I would never, never…” she stood to face her daughter, “do anything to hurt you. I swear it.”

CASTING NEWS
Teresa Hill who originated the role of Eden August on the CBS drama, "Guiding Light" will reprise the role on the next episode of SONBC blog, "THE GUIDING LIGHT."
"We wanted to wrap up the Eden story that was open ended when I took over the stories so we wanted to conclude it." Says Executive Producer Josh Hawkins. Hill appears in Episode 044 which is scheduled to air on February 07, 2007. Hill's appearance is for this episode only and she is not slated to appear in any further episodes.

After a little over three months of airing as Michelle Bauer-Santos, former "DAYS OF OUR LIVES" starlet, Christie Clark has opted not to continue with the blog.
"Christie was wonderful as Michelle and we wish that she could have stayed." Shared Hawkins, "In the end it was a mutual decision to part ways and we wish Christie the best."
So what is going to happen to Michelle?
"We brought back the three previous actresses who have played Michelle to retest for the role." Hawkins continued, "We wanted a familiar face to work with the cast." To that end, Bethany Joy Lenz, Rebecca Budig and Nancy St. Alban were brought it and tested with Peter Simon (Ed), Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny) and Alexa Havins (Marah) for the role.
"The chemistry between Havins and Budig was there, but in the end it wasn't enough for her to win the role." Hawkins said and confirmed that in fact it is "One Tree Hill" and former Reva-clone actress, Lenz who has won the role.
"Dan and I talked and fought about this for a long while." Hawkins shared, "In the end though it was Bethany who had the most chemistry with the three actors we paired her with and we look forward to working with her in the future and telling Michelle's story."
Lenz begins Friday, February 09 and will have her own, "IN the LIGHT" next week.

- Cassie is at Company with RJ, the Marler twins and Clarissa. Marina has just arrived and offered to take them back for ice cream and Cassie is finishing off her coffee when Blake returns.
“Well that was a fast trip.” Cassie sighed motioning for her to sit down, “What happened?”
“Where are my children?” Blake questioned.
“I sold them in an auction while you were away Blake.” She answered, “What kind of question is that. Kevin, James and Clarissa are with RJ in the back having ice cream with Marina.”
Blake threw her head back and sighed heavily, “Thank you for watching them.”
“Don’t worry about it. Just tell me what happened between you and Ross.”
“Cassie if I knew what was happening I wouldn’t be in this situation.” Blake sighed heavily again and ran her fingers through her hair, “You know what the worse part of this whole thing is?”
“No what?”
“If my mother and Ross were having an affair…I wouldn’t have any room to judge, I done the same thing to her.”
“Blake,” Cassie attempted to reason with her, “You can’t honestly think that. The situation now is completely different, you have children with Ross, a family and that is something Holly never had with him.”
“I just can’t help but think that somehow I brought this on myself, karma.”
Cassie took Blake’s hand and spoke in a friendly tone, “Why don’t you go on back to the carriage house. Let me keep the kids for the rest of the day.”
“I couldn’t ask you to do that.”
“You’re not asking, I’m offering. Now go…” Cassie handed Blake her purse, “Go before Clarissa sees you and starts crying again.”
“You really don’t mind?” Blake asked again and Cassie shook her head no, “Okay, thank you Cassie for everything. I’ll call you later.”

- Olivia Spencer Spaulding stepped off the elevator and into a world she wasn’t quite familiar with, not yet anyway. If Olivia had her wish she would be an executive at Spaulding sooner much rather than later.
“Good afternoon Mrs. Spaulding.”
“Hello, Sherry. Is my husband busy?”
“Actually no ma’am, he just finished his meeting with some board members. Should I let him know that you’re here?”
Shaking her head, “No, that won’t be necessary. I think I’ll surprise him.”
Olivia pushed open the office door and shut it behind her. “You don’t know what a turn on it is seeing you behind that desk.”
“Olivia.” Alan spoke in his husky rumble, “I’m sorry I missed you at breakfast Phillip and I had an early meeting.”
“It’s all right I thought I would surprise you with a late lunch, early dinner.”
“I can’t. I wish that I could but I have investors coming in about half a hour and our meeting is of the up most importance.”
Olivia poured herself a drink, “That’s too bad I was hoping you and I could discuss my proposal more in depth.”
Alan was busy with folders and paperwork Olivia’s words didn’t register to him at first, “Your what Olivia?”
“My business proposal, the one I talked to you about before Alexandra resigned as CEO of Spaulding.”
“Oh, oh of course the fashion house division, I remember it now.”
She slammed her glass down, “Obviously, Alan you don’t. It was an interior decorating division, not a fashion house.” Olivia walked across the office and to his desk, “You gave me your word Alan that after Alexandra’s meeting you would consider this and I don’t think you’re doing anything of the kind.”
“Olivia…” Alan scolded, “Now is not the time to entertain any new ventures for the company. Alexandra has left me in a bind of sorts, she’s still the COO of the company and it’s hard as hell to get any work done when she is nowhere to be found.” He roared.
“That sounds like an excuse Alan.”
“Well quite frankly I do not give a damn about what you think it is Olivia. I am the head of this company and I said the timing isn’t right. I’m up to my neck in bills and paperwork that Alexandra needs to sign and I don’t know where the hell she is at.”
“That is not my problem Alan. I am your wife, the mother of your child, but God help me Alan I am so much more than that and you of all people know it.” Olivia grabbed her purse and coat from the sofa and headed towards the door, “I will not be some stay at home mother who bakes cookies and admires your accomplishments. I have aspirations Alan, you knew that when you married me and if you won’t help me with them, then I’ll find someone who is able.”
“Olivia!” Alan jumped from his chair, “Are you threatening me? Because I am not only the head of this company, but also your husband!”
“You think I’ve forgotten that?” Olivia threw open the door, “I am reminded every morning when I wake beside you, when I put on your ring, all the time that I am Mrs. Alan Spaulding because you won’t let me forget it.” She was about to close the door, “You’re holding my hotel hostage and that’s fine for now, but Alan if you want me to stay a loyal wife you’ll find a way to get my division off the ground.”
“And what if I don’t Olivia? What are you going to do about?”
She shrugged her shoulders, “You’ll just have to wait and find out. I’m a ticking bomb Alan and when you least expect I’ll explode. Have a good day, darling.”

“You shouldn’t be here.” Blake tied her robe and shut the door behind Ross, “How did you know I would be here anyway?”
“I ran into Cassie at Company, she told me that you had come back here to think about what happened.” Ross walked across the living room, “What is going on with us Blake?”
“Seriously Ross? You just seriously asked me that question. For starters, what is wrong is that you’ve been sleeping with my mother and Ross Marler do not stand here in my own home and try and deny it.”
“That is exactly what I’m going to do Blake because I’m not sure where you’re getting your information from but that is a lie.” Ross defended, “I will not deny that I have been spending time with Holly, but our relationship is completely platonic.”
“I never thought I would say this to you Ross, but you’re a liar and I have the proof.” Blake reached into her purse and pulled out the pictures, “You and my mother enjoy your platonic time at The Beacon? I hired a private investigator from Oakdale he followed the both of you there.”
“It’s not what it looks like Blake, you have to give me a chance to explain.”
“No need for explanations, what goes around, comes around, hmm? But the both of us were to blame for what happened all those years ago, so why am I the one who is being punished?” Blake turned away from Ross, her eyes filled with tears. “I never imagined that it would you that would break my heart like this.”
Ross grabbed her shoulders and tried to turn her around but it was no use, Blake refused to move. “When are you going to get it through that tough, thick skull of yours Blake, nothing happened between your mother and I, I love you, only you.”
The carriage house fell silent, “Okay then, if you’re not having an affair with her then why?” Blake faced him, “Why have you been spending all your time with her, why the secrecy?”
“Your mother and the President of Springfield University are old friends, she and I have been working together in hopes that he would allow me to return to the faculty.” Ross admitted.
“And that’s all? End of story?” Blake asked. “It’s a wonderful cover, Ross it really is.”
“You don’t believe me?” Ross opened his briefcase, “Here then you read this. I don’t know what else I can do Blake. Everything that you’re mother I have been working on for the last few months is right there in writing.”
Blake looked over the paperwork, contracts, recommendations and projected hire dates. “Looks good Ross, but I know a scheme when I see one.”
“My God Blake, when are you going to realize that you’re completely wrong?” He questioned, “Go, go ask your mother about this, she’ll tell you, the truth.”
“The truth, Ross…” Blake sighed as she threw open the front door.
“Yes Blake the truth.” Holly answered from the doorway, “It’s time you heard it all!”

"THE GUIDING LIGHT"
Of course it is what the original name of the show was, but I think it will fit the type of stories Dan and I are writing!

THE LIGHT Opening Holly pours herself a cup of coffee and slams the cup down on the kitchen counter as she lowers her head into her hands. She slowly walks back into her bedroom, pulls open the drapes to reveal a bright sun…she closes them and gets back into bed…
Ross and Blake run across one another at Company and Ross calls her out why she has been avoiding him. Blake tells Ross that she is not going to have this discussion with him right here in Company, in front of their children. Ross tells her to take them to Holly’s and she says sharply no! Cassie who is having lunch with RJ says that if Blake needs a babysitter then she would be more than glad to watch the kids, Ross thanks her and pulls Blake away, with Blake resisting a little bit!
Holly awakes hours later, having missed an important meeting at The Journal and lunch with Ed! She throws her legs to the floor and goes to stand, but becomes weak and collapses back into bed.
Having been stood up by Holly for lunch, Ed arrives home and stops Mel from going out shopping. He questions her about how she is feeling and if she’s ready to talk anymore about whatever it is that is bothering her. Mel insists that nothing is bothering her that she’s just stressed with work is all and Ed really shouldn’t worry. Ed reveals to her that if she keeps things bottled up and does not express her feelings or let Rick in then their marriage could suffer. Mel assures Ed that everything is fine, even though it clearly is not!
Finally once they are alone Ross asks what has been going on with her the last few months, that since Thanksgiving she has been short with him, putting him off, not talking and the same with her mother. Blake says that he knows the answer to that and for him to even ask is outrageous and insulting to her! Blake turns to walk away but Ross grabs and pulls her into a passionate kiss…Blake pulls away and slaps him across the face and tells him that she will not play second fiddle to her mother! THE LIGHT Opening Alan conducts his own board meeting as the newly named CEO of Spaulding Enterprises. However when Alexandra’s signatures are required for some paperwork, as Chief Operating Officer, Alan begins to wonder where Alex is.
At Cedars Hospital, the Board of Directors convenes their annual monthly meeting. The chairman of the board calls the meeting to order as Ed and Lillian pass one another in the hallway outside. Lillian asks if anything important is happening and Ed reveals to her that there is a rumor circling around the staff that major renovations will occur over the next six months to a year!
Marah and Tammy meet at The Beacon, at Tammy’s request. Marah asks what is going on and Tammy reveals that she feels something is off with Shayne. Marah questions why she thinks that and Tammy says that he isn’t interested in the things he was last semester and that he’s quieter. Marah says that she’ll talk to him, but Tammy says talking to him won’t do any good, Tammy tells Marah the person she needs to talk to is Reva!
Alexandra arrives at the Spaulding cottage in Bar Harbor, Maine. She walks around the place that hasn’t been used in years. She notices pictures of the family on the mantle once at the end she pulls out the bracelet and studies it…she whispers to herself that Vera better keep her end of the bargain. The ringing of her cell phone jolts Alexandra back to reality, when she sees it is Alan, she turns it off and then throws it against the wall!
Marah says that she is not going to talk to Reva and she doesn’t really know how that is going to help Shayne. Marah gets her purse and jacket, Tammy tells her to stop and realize that this isn’t about what Marah wants, this is not about what Marah wants or what is best for her. Tammy tells her Danny, Cassie and even she has forgiven Reva’s actions, it’s time that Marah does the same, for the sake of her brother! Tammy leaves telling Marah that she doesn’t get to walk out this time!
At the Cedars board meeting, the chairman says that Cedars has been an institution in Springfield for over the last seventy years. Now as they enter into the year 2007 renovations must be made to survive and thrive for the next seventy years. The chairman moves that they request bids from Spaulding Enterprise and Lewis Construction to do the remodeling.- Read more...

Recently Stephanie Gatschet sat down with us at a restaurant near the Stillwater set of SONBC blog, "THE LIGHT." She talked openly and freely about her role as innocent heroine Tammy Winslow, the current state of the blog production, her long contract negotiations and more!
SONBC: Welcome! How are you enjoying the new locations?
SG: It's no New York City, but we're all getting very used to it! We pre-tape a lot of stuff and we lump it together, so making the trips in and out aren't nearly as bad as we thought it would be!
SONBC: Production seems to have been at a stand still as of last week, any updates as to what is going on?
SG: Stillwater experienced back-to-back snow and ice storms, it shut down set for a few days. Grant Aleksander (Phillip), Beth Ehlers (Harley) and a few others were in Stillwater and they managed to shoot a few scenes. Production has resumed and an all new episodes will begin airing this week!
SONBC: Well that's good to hear. So how are you liking the current regime, this is your first interview since Gobble and Hawkins began thoughts?
SG: You know their finding their footing! It's going to take time, it always does but going back in time I think was the best move that they could have made. But from an actor standpoint I was worried that the same stories would be told all over again, so far that is not case. (Smiles.)
SONBC: During the ice storm, you and the executives had your own little storm brewing! Let's talk about contract dealings from last week, it was a close call.
SG: It was a very close call! I've been with "Guiding Light" and then to continue with "The Light" was a big question in my mind. It comes down to wanting to play good stories and being able to do those other things that you enjoy. I was pitched a story that would occur if I stayed and even if I didn't stay. I was made perfectly clear I was welcome and that Josh wanted me to stay, but if I didn't then the role would have been recast. Thankfully for everyone it worked out.
SONBC: Tell us, what you can about that story!
SG: The good thing about going back in time is that there are four relationships that haven't been explored: Marina, Lizzie, Shayne and Tammy so now we get to see that develop. I'll be sharing a lot of scenes with David Tom (Shayne) and that story begins in February!
SONBC: We were told that Dan Gobble wants to bring Jonathan Randall on this year. Is there any update there.
SG: (Laughs) Jonathan will arrive this year! His name is popping around the set, I just shared a group scene with Laura Wright (Cassie), Kim Zimmer (Reva) and others were his name was said a few times. It will be interesting to see what occurs when he does finally arrive. (Smiles and laughs.)
SONBC: You act like you know something more than you're not saying.
SG: (Shrugs shoulders) Maybe.
SONBC: We'll we're glad you're staying with "TL" and look forward to seeing you for how many more years.

Young Actress STAYS
After tense and long negotiations, but the executive producer and head writer of "THE LIGHT" Josh Hawkins is confirming that indeed Stephanie Gatschet is staying on as Tammy Winslow!
"It was tough to get Stephanie to stay with the SONBC series, but we did." smiles Hawkins.
Gatschet who joined the original "Guiding Light" in July 5, 2002 has signed on for two more years with the blog. Details at press time were sketchy, look for more information and an interview with Gatschet this weekend in the newly created, "Weekend Update."

BACKSTAGE UPROAR
Sources closes to the production team of "THE LIGHT" are reporting that contract negotiations for one younger leading lady are going into the night as both parties seem to be at an impasse as both parties are stalling!
Setside sources says that the executives of the SONBC series wants very much for the actress to continue in the role and are hoping a contract is signed. Negotiations between "TL" and the actress began prior to the Christmas holiday and have continued well into January, with the deadline being 11:59 PM/CST, January 18th.
"We do not comment on contracts negotitations." said Executive Producer Josh Hawkins. He did add however that when something was decided he would announce it immediately.

THE LIGHT Opening
Braxton and his mother, Sandra have a special reunion that is mixed with emotions. He inquires as to what she is doing in Oakdale, when they clearly talked about her going to Springfield. Sandra tells him that she just wanted to see his face before she arrived in Springfield…he tells her that’s nice and then becomes very cold and angry with her and tells her to stick to the plan!
Harley frantically begins searching for where Alexandra could have fled off too. In hopes of finding some information she sneaks into Alexandra’s old office at Spaulding Enterprises and hopes to find something…only to be caught red handed by Phillip!
Vera and Gus return home…alone in her bedroom Vera images what life will be like for her and Gus years down the road and in that life she envisions Harley to be DEAD and not apart of it! She is jolted back to reality when Alexandra calls and tells her she is staying at a house tucked far away in Maine!
Vanessa asks Billy if he’s heard anything from Little Bill and he tells her he has not. Billy then inquires as to what has got Vanessa so worked up so suddenly. She decides to tell him what she’s learned, Vanessa reveals that Michelle Bauer Santos is pregnant and that their son could be the father!
Phillip demands to know what Harley is up to and she tells him that she is looking for Alexandra. Phillip tells her that he has no idea and notices that she is wound pretty tight…he suggests that Harley get away and notes the time they spent together at a house in Maine! THE LIGHT Opening At Lillian’s house Beth is packing her belongings with Alan-Michael and Lucy’s sudden unannounced return she and Phillip postponed informing Lizzie and the family about their marriage. Lillian questions if Beth came home the night before and she responds by assuring her mother she is a grown woman who can take care of herself! Lillian notices the suitcases and asks Beth if she is planning another business trip…
Olivia surprises Alan with breakfast in bed on his first day as CEO of Spaulding Enterprises. The two seem to be very happy and close until the subject of Olivia’s business venture is brought up, Alan slyly changes the subject, however Olivia notices and continues to grow more and more concerned that he is not taking her seriously.
Marah goes on a job interview at a company in Springfield…she reveals that she just graduated from Springfield University in December with a degree in business administration and fashion design. The interviewer offers Marah the only position that their company has open: receptionist with the promise of a promotion in nine to twelve months. Marah is polite, but declines the offer hoping for something better to come along!
At their suite at The Beacon Alan-Michael finally convinces Lucy to stay a few more days in Springfield after a long fight. She informs him that she did not leave Europe just so he could have another shot an impressing his father, Lucy tells him that she thought that ship sailed a long time ago. A-M assures her that it is, but clearly he is lying to her!
Gus takes Vera to Company to meet the people in his life, such as Harley’s family. Vera is enjoying every minute of being in the spotlight as Gus’ biological mother and he seems relieved to have finally found some answers.
Lucy and Harley meet at The Beacon for coffee and a catch-up. Harley seems thrilled that Lucy is staying in Springfield awhile longer and begins to update her half-sister about Vera and Gus’s search, it becomes clear the two have kept in touch through the years. Harley tells Lucy that she knows Alexandra is keeping something from her and she intends to find out what it is…Lucy tells Harley that could be difficult since Alex left Springfield after the board meeting!
Beth stuns Lillian when she announces that she and Phillip went to Las Vegas where they remarried! Lillian is in silence and immediately questions what Lizzie has to say about this, when Beth tells her that she doesn’t know yet Lillian begins to criticize her daughter’s choices. Lillian questions why this happened suddenly and Beth tells her because she no longer wanted to live life without Phillip, that she knows he loves her and she him. Beth warns her mother to get on board with her decision and if she can’t do that then stay out of her life!
Vanessa telephones Little Bill and tells him that he needs to come to home to Springfield immediately, because she doesn’t have much time to stay and there is something that she must tell him, now! Bill tells her that an ice storm has grounded many planes leaving Tulsa…Vanessa tells him to do his very best and hangs up…she wonders to herself how Michelle could keep something so important, like a baby to herself and not tell Bill.
Having stormed out with luggage in tow, Lillian demands Beth stop where she is and not leave like this. Lillian tells her daughter: “I’m your mother, grown or not, don’t you dare give me ultimatums young lady.” Lillian says that it is very sudden, but if she feels comfortable in the relationship then she’s happy for the both of them, but says that they have to tell Lizzie.
Having rerouted her air travel because of the snow storm pasing through Oklahoma as well as Colorado and Kansas, Sandra arrived in Oakdale and took a taxi to Memorial Hospital, where she finds her son…- Read more...

"IN the LIGHT" Remembering Maureern

THE LIGHT Opening Holly awakes from an uneasy night of sleep and pulls open the drapes of her bedroom hoping to see the sunshining today, especially today...but doesn't. The clouds are dark and gray, hanging low and the weatherman on TV is issuing wind advisories for Springfield and Oakdale. She rubs her throbbing head and decides to get dressed, she has somewhere to be!
Oh we never know where life will take us
I know it's just a ride on the wheel
Ed quietly sets at the kitchen table drinking coffee having just saw Rick and Mel off to work. Ed wonders if Michelle is away and decides to check on her as he is getting dressed himself. As Ed is heading up the stairs of the home, he flashes back to his last conversation with Maureen.
Rick and Mel stop by the cemetery to lay flowers at Maureen's grave. Hand in hand the couple walk together and Rick recalls to Mel that Ed and Lillian had an affair and eventually Maureen found out. Rick tells her that Maureen was an one of a kind woman and person, that she brought heart to the family and loved Michelle like she was her very own every day. Mel kisses Rick on the cheek and the two quietly take their leave!
And we never know when death will shake us
And we wonder how it will feel
Lillian pulls her coat tightly around her in an effort to block the wind as she walks across the lawn...recalling the night of the blackout, when it all started. Lillian Raines, to this day still felt responsible for Maureen's death, even though she was able to come to terms with it a few years ago. Lillian lays a light pink rose down next to the flowers already there and recalls the moment Maureen confronted her about the affair. As tears softly roll down Lillian's cheek, she expresses once more how sorry she is and knows that it will change nothing, but she wants her to know just the same.
So goodbye my friend
I know I'll never see you again
But the time together through all the years
Will take away these tears
It's okay now
Goodbye my friend
Ed stops by Michelle's bedroom...only to find her already gone for the day! He decides that there is no use in putting off what he has to do today. Ed gets the red rose from the ice box and heads off to the cemetery!
At the Springfield airport Michelle and Billy wait on opposite ends for two very special guests. Billy waves for Vanessa and the two embrace in a hug. Vanessa explains that she thought Little Bill would be there to pick her up as the two of them discussed. Billy informs her that he's in Tulsa on business for Lewis and she immediately begins to worry that Billy is working him to hard, he however assures her that he's not. Michelle meanwhile awaits the arrival of Nola Reardon Chamberlain! Once she arrives the two women decide to go get some coffee to calm their nerves.
I've seen a lot things that make me crazy
And I guess I held on to you
We could've run away and left well maybe
But it wasn't time and we both knew
Ed arrives as the wind continues to blow...he tells Maureen that he has never stopped loving her, till this day. Ed says that she is to blame for her death, he knows that and wishes that he could have switched her places because she would have been around for Michelle all the years he wasn't. Ed softly touches the engraving of the stone and recalls their last conversation. As he begins tearing up a familiar hand touches his shoulder and softly whispers, "She would have forgiven you eventually." Ed turns upward and see Holly standing there. He tells her, "I don't know about that. She was so angry...I should've left. Holly she told me to leave, why didn't I?" Holly hugs him and says that he can't blame himself, even though he wants to. The two friends stand there, crying and remembering Maureen together...after awhile Ed kisses his fingers and pressing them against Maureen's name, with tears in his eyes he leaves, as the wind slowly, for that moment dies down!

Billy tells Vanessa that he will wait for her and to take as long as she needs. Vanessa thanks him and with a bouquet of flowers in hand she makes her way across the lawn. Once there she catches up with Maureen over the last year of her life, with Matt and the baby. It is clear that this is an annual trip that Vanessa makes. She says that Maureen was one of the greatest friends she ever had and begins to choke up...hearing someone coming in the distance Vanessa steps aside to a small bench near Maureen's grave, but out of sight.
Nola and Michelle arrive. Nola tells Michelle, "She was such a special lady, one of a kind. But I guess I don't have to tell you that do I?" The two women wrap their arms around one another and Nola recalls a hot summer day, years and years ago. Nola tells her adopt niece that she misses the small moments, the little things in life that she shared with her sister. Michelle says she misses those moments, the big moments and every moment in between. Nola picks up on something and asks if everything is all right. Michelle tells Nola, "Times like this is when I miss her the most." Nola questions what times Michelle is talking about, just as Vanessa is about to make her presences known...Michelle reveals to Nola in confidence that she is five months pregnant...and she's not sure if Danny or Bill Lewis is the baby's father. Nola embraces Maureen's daughter in an emotional hug as Vanessa slowly slips away, unnoticed!
Life's so fragile and love's so pure

That night at the Bauer house: Ed, Rick, Mel, Michelle & Nola have dinner, where Nola promises Michelle that things will work out and that she will be there for her, because that is what Maureen would have wanted. Later, Nola proposes a toast to the memory of her beloved sister and the family she loved so very much! The family toasts as Maureen's picture rests beautifully in the living room, watching over her family.

The Light: Episode 036

THE LIGHT Opening Springfield High School is buzzing as the second half of their senior year begins. Lizzie, Marina, Tammy and Shayne are equally surprised to see that they have homeroom together. Lizzie begins to feel like an outsider because she was away at boarding school for the first semester suggests that the four of them hang out on the weekend, but Marina turns her down while Tammy says she’ll think about it, Shayne however remains very quiet at first and then declines Lizzie’s offer.
Everyone at the board meetings is stunned and surprised by Alan-Michael’s return. Alan greets his son with a firm hug followed by Phillip and Alexandra. A-M explains that he wanted to come home for a visit since he missed the holidays and figured that this was the perfect time. For a single split moment Alexandra considers that she nominate Alan-Michael for CEO but decides against it and recalls the board meeting to order!
Lucy arrives at Company and finds it very quiet for a morning! Buzz is in the kitchen and doesn’t hear Lucy arrive! When he comes out though he is surprised and stunned to see his little girl standing before him! The two embrace in a big bear hug!
As Alexandra taps her gavel one more person enters the meeting: Ross Marler. Blake is surprised that he is there and clearly upset because now she will have to interact with him!
Lucy explains to Buzz that she and A-M flew in from Europe to see everyone and for A-M to handle Spaulding Enterprise business up close and personal for once. She explains that he is getting a little too cranky just pushing papers in the Europe offices and wanted to feel important. Buzz inquires if the trip will be a short visit or a long-term stay?
After homeroom Tammy and Marina head off together for their next class. Tammy tells Marina that she thinks something is wrong with Shayne and that he hasn’t been acting himself lately. Marina says she hasn’t really noticed anything but suggests that maybe his behavior/mood change is because of the tension and fighting between Marah and Reva. Tammy agrees, but decides to do more to find out what is really wrong.
Alexandra is short and to the point. She says that after careful consideration she feels that Spaulding Enterprises would be managed better by Alan, rather than herself and admits that she only maneuvered her way to CEO for revenge and selfish reasons and that she is stepping down as CEO of Spaulding Enterprises, while remaining as COO (Chief Operating Officer) and Senior Vice President of the company. She urges the board to elect Alan, which they unanimously do and Alan Michael’s wheels begin to turn!
Lucy however assures her father that this visit is only short-term! That she and A-M don’t want any part of the power struggle between Phillip, Alexandra and Alan. Lucy tells Buzz she just wants to visit with her family and not think about when they’re leaving! Buzz hugs her one more time and tells her it is so good to see her!- Read more...

THE LIGHT Opening
At breakfast Alan requests that Olivia join him at the office today during the board meeting, because he doesn’t know exactly what Alexandra is up to. Olivia is moved that he has asked her and takes the moment to introduce an idea she’s had. Olivia asks Alan to form an Interior Design division at Spaulding Enterprise with her as the President.
Having previously had doubts about Vera’s claim that she is Gus’ biological mother Harley decides to question the woman solo and compare what Gus told her that she said to what Vera tells her when Gus’ isn’t around. After spending all morning with her talking Harley concludes that small, minor details about how Vera came to know Joe Augustino and his wife Angela. As she is preparing to leave for the board meeting Harley decides to confront Alexandra once and for all!
Phillip and Beth return from Las Vegas very much happy! Phillip tells his wife that he isn’t sure what Alexandra is up to with this board meeting and that has him worried. Beth assures him that everything will turn out all right and he returns with a question for her: can he trust her…
Alan-Michael and Lucy awake at The Beacon and he prepares for his meeting, also curious as to what is going on. Lucy tells her husband that she will stop by Company and see her father, Frank and then later that day Marina and Harley. Alan-Michael reminds her that they will be having dinner with the family that night and she should act like she is enjoying it. Lucy tells him that she will if he remembers the promise that he made her, that is this visit will be short and for business only. Alan-Michael kisses her on the cheek, says it will and leaves!
Alan tells Olivia that is something that will be discussed after everyone learns exactly what Alex is up to. Olivia smiles and agrees but secretly wonders if Alan is genuine with his offer!
Beth is upset that he has even asked her such a question. She tells him that from now on she’ll always be right behind him giving her support and encouragement to both he and Alan, since that is what Phillip wants. As the limo gets closer to the Spaulding building Phillip suggests they tell Lizzie about their marriage tonight and not wait any longer!
At Spaulding Enterprise, Harley finds Alexandra alone in her office as everyone begins to arrive downstairs. Alexandra is so deep in thought that she doesn’t hear Harley enter the room until she slams the door! A stunned Alex stands to confront Harley who tells her that she came for the truth, all of it this time!
Alexandra tells Harley she has no idea what it is she’s talking about, that the truth is out and Vera is Gus’s mother! Harley says that she doesn’t buy it because Alexandra went to great length to keep Vera and Roy Baker’s secret and she wants to know what. Alexandra tells her that is what friends do and goes to leave. Harley becomes filled with anger and threatens Alexandra not to play games with her or the man she loves. Alex manages to wiggle out of Harley’s grasps and tells her she is not playing games and storms out of the room!!
With Phillip, Alan and the members of the Ex-Wives Club assembled Alexandra calls the board meeting to order…when Alan-Michael opens the door stunning everyone!- Read more...

Two Special HOMECOMINGS!
Maeve Kinkead & Lisa Brown
Two very special homecomings are finally set in stone! "It went sort of down to the wire but we were able to pull it off." Shares executive producer Josh Hawkins who confirms that Lisa Brown (Nola) and Maeve Kinkead (Vanessa) will reprise their famous roles as Vanessa Chamberlain Reardon and Nola Reardon Chamberlain respectively later this week.
"Josh and I have crafted a beautiful episode that will honor Maureen on the anniversary of her death." Shared co-head writer Dan Gobble. "This is what "IN the LIGHT" episodes should be about!" He continued.
It is because of that special episode, airing on Thursday, January 11, the day Maureen died that Brown and Kinkead will have their first appearances on the blog.
Brown's stint is only for two days and she'll be sharing scenes with Peter Simon (Ed) and Christie Clark (Michelle). However insiders are hinting that Kinkead has recieved a special recurring contract to appear from time to time as storyline requires. "Maeve has ties to Springfield and we'll be seeing her throughout 2007." Shared Hawkins.
So why is Kinkead in and Brown out, so to speak. "The character of Nola is awesome! Lisa Brown is a gem! But there is just no room for the character at this time." Shared Hawkins.

The Light: Episode 034

THE LIGHT Opening Danny meets Cassie at Company for a quick business meeting regarding the Towers renovations. The two-talk business and Cassie shamefully flirts with and it seems to be going unnoticed. Cassie asks him what is going with him, with them and explains that they had something going…romantically and she wants to know what happened.
Michelle secretly goes to a doctor’s appointment with a new OBGYN at Cedars. She explains that her father and her brother cannot find out about her pregnancy just yet because she has not told the daddy. The OBGYN agrees and Michelle is told she five months pregnant.
Beth awakes in the arms of Phillip after spending the entire night making love! She relishes in the fact that she is finally Mrs. Phillip Spaulding again and feels that she is ready to conquer the world.
Alan and Olivia pass Michelle in the hallway at Cedars on their way to an appointment with the same OBGYN. Alan and Olivia decide to go ahead and learn the sex of their baby. The Spaulding couple learns that she is five months pregnant with a healthy baby girl!
After flying all night and a layover in New York City, Alan-Michael and Lucy (Cooper) Spaulding arrive home in Springfield after nine years absences from Springfield. While Lucy (Heather Tom) waits for Alan-Michael (Dan Gauither) to get the luggage she reads the registered letter they received before leaving Europe. “As a majority shareholder in Spaulding Enterprise you are hereby required to attend…” Lucy sighs and wonders if her marriage can survive this trip to Springfield.
At the Las Vegas International Airport, Sandra boards a plane destination Springfield!
Danny explains that he harbors some intense feelings towards her and Reva regarding Tony’s death. He goes on to explain that Marah has been staying at the mansion with him and Cassie slowly begins to understand things much clearer as Michelle enters Company, suddenly occupying Danny’s attention! Cassie also begins to wonder what role Marah is playing in Danny’s life while she’s residing at the mansion!
Alan…India…Mindy…Blake…Harley all simultaneously receive summons, much like the one Lucy has received regarding an emergency board meeting the following day. Lillian signs for Beth’s letter and immediately telephones her daughter as Phillip’s assistant does the same. After hearing what is going on in Springfield, Phillip and Beth decide they must return home to reality!
Alone in her office Alexandra signs the letter removing herself as CEO of Spaulding Enterprise and awaits the following day when she will leave Springfield again, this time for good!- Read more...

Beth puts the finishing touches to her makeup and dresses in her new white gown! She checks herself in the mirror and suddenly hears the same male voice in the back of her head warning her that she can never trust Phillip…
Ed tells Mel that Rick feels she has become distant lately, especially during the holiday season and that Rick doesn’t know how to make her better. Mel is quiet and Ed says that worries him. Mel explains that she’s just been busy with things at the hospital, Ed should understand that and he assures her that he does. But Ed continues to tell Mel that she should also be concerned about her marriage as well as her career!
Phillip finishes his phone conversation with Alexandra without revealing that he is in Las Vegas preparing to marry Beth. As he ties his tie Beth arrives at his door, ready to go the chapel to become Mrs. Phillip Spaulding all over again!
As the sun shines high above the desert sand two important things are happening in Las Vegas: the mystery woman Beth ran into is her attic…outside on the front lawn is a real estate agency sign with the heading “SOLD” on top. As the woman digs through boxes she comes across an envelope of pictures marked, “COLORADO.” As she flips through her memories the answering machine picks up a telephone call revealing the woman’s name to be Sandra and that her flight arrangements to Springfield have been confirmed!
Meanwhile, Beth and Phillip have arrived at a wedding chapel ready to be married, but before they enter Beth stops Phillip and asks him one final question: That there be no more secrets between them, ever and if he has a secret to tell her now…Phillip thinks of Olivia and seeing her at the mansion the night before and the baby, he ultimately decides not and vows no more secrets!
At an unidentified airport in Europe a man and woman board a plane…destination New York City and then Springfield!
In a small, yet intimate ceremony, Beth Raines Winslow and Phillip Granville Spaulding are united as man and wife!- Read more...

THE LIGHT Opening As a new morning dawns over Springfield, Blake returns home from dropping the kids off at school. Once back home she prepares to crawl back into bed and stay there all day. She picks her cell phone up and sees Ross called earlier that morning. She listens to his heartfelt and loving message as tears swell in her eyes!
Ross arrives at Spaulding Enterprise at the request of Alexandra. She tells him that after some serious soul searching she has now decided to step down as CEO of the company. Ross inquires as to why she asked him there in the first place…
Alexandra informs Ross that she is leaving Springfield for an undetermined amount of time and according to the bylaws Alan will step in as CEO permanently. She tells Ross to draw up papers naming her COO of the company. Ross says that he’ll get to work on the papers and have them ready this afternoon. Alex thanks him and says Ben will be over later that afternoon. As Ross is about to leave Alexandra tells him not to say a word that he is officially on retainer for her!
Having landed in Las Vegas late the night before Beth didn’t have time do much preparation for the wedding. After her and Phillip have breakfast she goes out to find a new dress for her wedding to Phillip. Filled with joy and excitement as she is shopping, Beth bumps into a complete stranger!- Read more...

THE LIGHT Opening Beth repeats herself to Phillip and reassures him that she wants to marry him again and not wait anymore! Phillip remains stunned by what she has told him and questions why the rush. Beth explains her nightmare again and asks Phillip to marry her in Las Vegas…Phillip agrees to marry Beth and heads off to the mansion to pack!
Alan and Olivia arrive at Towers for a late night dinner…just shortly after Billy and Lillian. Lillian insisted that she take Billy out for dinner, her treat as a gesture of showing him how thankful she is for staying with her when her tire was flat! As appetizers arrive, Lizzie steps off the elevator.
Blake returns home from Outskirts and pays the babysitter. After pouring herself a nightcap she scrolls through the pictures of Ross arriving at his suite at The Beacon and then Holly minutes later. Blake shuts the camera off and through her tears checks on her children sleeping as she wonders what her next move will be regarding the man she loves and her own mother!
Marah is still staying at the Santos Mansion and decides that her and Danny must once and for all decide what it is their doing after hit and miss moments. She goes into the main living room and makes her presences known…Danny is looking at plans of the Towers renovations and immediately smiles when she enters the room!
Lizzie joins Alan and Olivia for dinner, but it is cut short when Olivia suddenly takes ill in the stomach…Alan rushes Lillian over to their table. Olivia insists that she go home and Lizzie stay to finish dinner with Alan, Billy and Lillian agree to take Olivia back to the mansion!
Once Olivia is gone, Lizzie gets straight to the point as to why she wanted to see Alan: she wants him to help convince Phillip and Beth to let her attend Springfield University and live on-campus!
Marah questions what is going on with them that since Thanksgiving they have played hit and miss with one another and she doesn’t want to live like that and that is why she should start looking for her own place, away from the mansion, away from Danny and away from her parents. Danny says that is probably a good idea, because with her gone it will allow them to know one another better and perhaps grow into to something more. Marah says she would like that very much.
After Phillip has gone, Beth begins to pack her own suitcase. She suddenly gets a painful headache and begins to hear a man’s voice. The man warns her that she’ll never be happy with Phillip…NEVER!
Phillip arrives at the mansion, calls the pilot to the Spaulding jet and begins to pack a bag for the trip. Downstairs Billy and Lillian arrive with Olivia who lies down on the sofa to rest. Billy receives a cell phone call and leaves to take it while Lillian goes to get Olivia some club soda to settle her stomach. Olivia quickly drifts off to sleep, just as Phillip is heading down the stairs, he recalls Beth’s proposal in the back of his mind and suddenly sees Olivia lying their…as she sleep she begins dreaming about Phillip and both relive the highs and lows of their short lived relationship.- Read more...
