  1. I remember people saying Sara Bibel use to write for soaps. She was at the screening of the last to episodes. This what she had to say, EmpireEmmy non-spoiler: there was a moment that made the audience scream so long & so loud that no one could hear the next scene

  2. I don't change the channel until the very last second and then that sh!t is still on a minute past the hour!!!!! They are going to mess up a good thing. Empire is wonderful and great for the network, but no one wants to see these folks everywhere. Overexposure is a very bad thing! Soon, viewers are going to be trying to get away from them.

I cannot stand the sight of Sofia Vergara for this very reason and I used to love MF.

My niece was like it's 9:00 pm, what channel Empire comes on. I had to explain to her that AI is still on. I'm waiting for 9:01 to put it on channel 5. But I wouldn't mind seeing them perform that song live on Idol. But I don't want to watch the whole thing.

  3. I didn't read the magazine, but it's call Latina. They want it to be Latinos rapping on the show. Now they did have Micheal but he wasn't a rapper. & the Latina girl working for the Mayor. But the show is about a family that made it big from urban music, cause Lucious seems like he was more of a singer. Hakeem is the only rapper on the show

Lee Daniels already said since they own a record company he wants rocks stars, country singers, & other genes of music but that doesn't mean they going to have a big part. Unless Hakeem date a Latin girl.

Anyway somebody responded that it's funny they want to be apart of a AA show when they don't respect the Afro Latino people in their communities. My thing is Latin people watching in numbers so they might just have to throw in a meaty bone or two.

  4. since its already being talked about. here you go

I know it was a surprise attack, but I hope Cookie handle it. It looks terrible that Cookie was popping all that stuff & get beat up.

  5. You know what...any other time I'd tell you to suck it up. This is one show where a person from a marginalized group is being pushed above every one else while every other show on TV is catering to the mainstream group. However, these people aren't white. The airwaves aren't exactly over filled with straight black characters getting their due either. Let alone one with a mental disability. The Andres are just as scarce as the Jamals. So instead, I'll say..

    +1

Trai (and Andre) definitely deserves better than to be a supporting player when the show wasnt originally touted as "Jamal's Journey". I'm sure that's not what he signed up for.

See, I thought it was about the brothers & how they relate to each other, parents, the job, & friends

  6. http://www.forbes.com/sites/zackomalleygreenburg/2015/03/11/six-reasons-empires-lucious-lyon-is-a-terrible-label-boss/

What makes Lyon’s streaming myopia even more unforgivable is the fact that he’s got an obvious solution staring him right in his angrily contorted face: his Wharton-educated son, Andre, the only Empire Entertainment employee who has even mentioned the word “streaming.”

Andre actually has a pretty interesting plan, one that he outlines to a frustrated rock star who’s thinking of leaving the label. He says Empire will start its own streaming service and share royalties with artists.

  7. As happy as I am about the writing for Jamal, I don't think the writers will invest the same effort into Andre.

With Hakeem I can understand the writers relative lack of focus because Yazz isn't as strong an actor as Trai & Jussie (nor is Hakeem a credible choice to run Empire) but Trai has proven he's as strong (if not stronger) an actor as Jussie & he deserves better than to be a supporting player in Jamal's journey to become the next CEO of Empire.

That's what I'm saying, with Andre sickness he already have an handicap. They already said that you got to be healthy to get the IPO or whatever it is.

  8. I don't think that's what Mo meant. I figure she was saying that since Lucious wants to leave Empire to a son, make the other two girls to stop pretending their is a choice.

Somebody finally getting what my mumblings is about.

  9. What difference would it make if they were "girls"? dry.png

I wouldn't mind seeing Hakeem as a girl. That she might just get slapped, when she called Cookie a bitch. Two daughter & a gay son fighting for the Empire. I think it would have been interesting.

  10. We get it!! the show is about the Lucious & Cookie gay son. I don't understand why they didn't make them other boys girls. I thought this show was about three rich black guys with different issues. No matter what issues the other two boys got, it always come back to Jamal is the best of what Lucious & Cookie got to offer.

  11. Clip time. Play at your own risk.

The question is how old is Jamal, is his hair being like that means he's a teenager. Because if it's true about Olivia & Lucious, I don't see Anika around either.

  12. Some people think Malcolm is up to no good. So, my theory is what about the guy that Cookie is testifying against told Malcolm to get close to Cookie. He already knew he couldn't go to his right hand man, that's the guy Cookie killed.

Another thing, I believe in my heart Lucious knew about Andre condition. Like I said last time the lady he was talking about to Hakeem, told Lucious. Lucious killed her because of that.

In Lucious mind having that kind of sickness that Andre got is consider being weak.

  13. I hope they will to, but I didn't feel Hakeem was all that supportive. It's clear Jamal is the one who works the best in the mediator role. I think having Hakeem so close to his father is ruining his characterization. He's becoming unlikable to me to the point where I really just don't want to see his face or his little punk outfits.

What?? You sure we're watching the same show. Hakeem is more supportive of Jamal because it was out in the opening that Jamal is gay. Jamal seem more supportive of Andre situation because in this episode Jamal remember things that Hakeem was to little to understand. they even said that. Maybe You don't like Hakeem because you see his character as coonery. I don't know.

  14. The actor playing Andre was incredible tonight. That being said the elevator scene was so touching. I just didn't like the aftermath of it all. His brothers non reaction or even attempt to warn their dad or mom about his strange behavior.

Still the "lean on me" moment had me in tears. As the oldest of several brothers it was just all too real. Love this damn show.

In my head, Jamal & Hakeem did tell Lucious. That's why he told Malcolm or somebody to call his wife & to make sure he doesn't leave.
