Thanks! But it is good that he has moved on to a more lucrative industry.
He's working. He's happy. it's a good thing. He spent more than enough time agonizing over Bryant Montgomery's death, etc. He's probably always gonna stick his head in & say hey every once in awhile in soap territory & why not? Mostly, it's just not a big deal.

Oh, OK! Makes sense. Did you work in the industry to if you don't mind me asking?
He needs to let it go. The time he spends bitching about being on Y&R, he could've landed an acting gig elsewhere--Lifetime, Hallmark, UP... somewhere! It is enough work out here for him to get something.
No, I did not work in the industry. And, don't mind your asking. My partner, girlfriend, wife, whatever, did.

I will say that I go a number of places in an Internet day & it sticks with me when I hear certain phrases or sentences echo in different places. Like, for example with both DOOL & GH people say "Make it make sense." or "This Makes No Sense."
Well, what I am hearing different places about this, yesterday & today, is one sentence, "This will not end well." [sigh]

A question for the ages, and one Donna can rarely answer.
We have these great tools to help us negotiate online spaces. But, sometimes they simply fail. You put someone on Ignore, for example, and Voila, wonderful, you don't see them. They aren't there. BOOM. Oops. Fell through the cracks by being quoted. Oh, well.
But, to the point, if you have a question for me, just ask me. Simple.
And, to the other point, I already spoke about how the actors may be next up as the money crunch continues. This is very much a product of the times we live in. And, no one really knows how "the talent" will react if someone comes around talking about pay cuts or about letting some people go or about putting numerous people on recurring. Tough stuff.

It's disgusting. Truly disgusting. I also love that they're trying to say it's following the model of other soaps... yet Days of Our Lives and General Hospital were like, "No. We have our breakdown writers!"
That's kind of funny meaning odd because it's true that in the past DOOL did do a wholesale firing of all of their Breakdown Writers ... and I believe that before the year was even out they had hired Breakdown writers back. And, now, yes, they do use them. So, basically they tried doing without them & it did not work! If they're following the model, they didn't look at it very closely, did they?

No offense Donna but what does that have to with this thread? 😬
No offense taken but it's clear to me that it is about a time that longtime Y&R fans had reason to celebrate & often when fans face the possible demise of what they've had it is a good time to reflect on what one once had. Or at least that was true of AW & GL, etc. It's often even a good time to stake out some space & do some nostalgia. Sorry if that doesn't compute to you. Really.

Ugghhh I think today was a Jamey episode. Everyone was a POS and everything was a big joke 🤮
Which sucks because there were some good things that happened today.
I liked that EJ and Nicole were able to figure out everything. But it still was a big mistake that we didn’t see EJ botch the interview. And the way that everyone was talking about it, you would think there was an episode missing.
I was so pleased with EJ & Nicole figuring the whole poisoning out! Look out, Stefan, they are coming for you. I didn't get any sense of a missed episode, sorry not sure what you're thinking of.
I could not believe all the household accessory crap that they had Rolf unpacking. The kitchen mixer was especially ludicrous. At least the slide projector made sense.

Cracked me up that Sloan broke it off with Eric & called him a bastard to boot. She was so indignant & no one was taking her the least bit serious.

The Shin father was such a blowhard!

My "rose" of the show from this week's episodes, (which were undeniably poor in terms of quality), is that unlike the past "wacky" plots, this week I appreciated the dynamic between the real and the absurd. For example, the contrast between the cryo-pods and Anna's grief has grounded the drama in a way that was not as well balanced during the possession or the nu-Renee plots.
I realize that's not a strong defense, and I don't expect others to agree, but it was notable to me, so I wanted to share it.
Lemme see if I follow ... is it the juxtaposition of "Caring Anna" making a traditional grief visit to a person in mourning with the other-worldly wacky techno-astronaut-like tubes? These are the choices we have: the one person who feels the need to reach out to Roman who she knows best of the 3 or a B-movie scifi lab probably hidden on a likely non-existing floor on the elevator? If so, I definitely get your drift & my reply, not to you, but to our higher soap power is why can't we ever have nice things?!!

Yes!! She looked like a million bucks in that wedding dress. Just perfect. The way she was crying during the ceremony like she felt she was losing Curtis at the very moment they were getting married. The other fashion for the wedding was pretty good give...
That's a shout out to Shawn Reeves, Costume Designer for GH! I thought most everyone looked very good but especially Portia & Terri & then for the photo shoot, again I thought most everyone looked very good, but there especially Tracy, Liz, Laura, Carly, Nina, and this time I did not like Terri's dress. And, at the wedding reception Drew drove me crazy looking & sounding & seeming like a game show host.

Of course I bring up Tom Casiello’s name a few pages back and now his ghost is haunting this thread by his own tweets in response to this thread. Just great. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Casiello was Hogan’s apprentice…I still remember his MySpace blog lol. Of course Hogan did irreparable damage to both Days and Y&R with the effects still lasting today (EJ and Adam respectively)
Well, Tommy started out at AW, quite before Hogie, as he called him, was recruited by MADD & Goutman. But, he was almost a mascot to Hogan, it's true. His eulogy of him was quite profound.

Well, GH was both crazy & amazing today & they are still winning the February sweeps period & there's still 2 more days in this week!OMG! Ryan Chamberlain is dead. He died rather magnificently. When Mac came into the opening in the woods & fired that shot, he had just reared back his head & come out with a blood-curdling scream, full-throated, and that shot rang out & he went down like an empty sack collapses. There was nothing holding him up! And then when Mac was kneeling at his head he suddenly moved his head & said, "It had to be you." Great line! Then he fell over again, completely inert. He was DEAD-dead.

Does Josh think he's TP, or does the network think he's TP? This likely was a cost cutting move by the suits and Josh obliged. I'm not sure I buy the idea that he's drunk with power and forced the others out.
Regardless it's still a disaster waiting to happen. No one person can fulfill all those duties.
For most of his career, Harding "Pete" Lemay was HW, Breakdown Writer, Daily Script Writer & Script Editor in charge of continuity. The veritable one man show! He did it for 8 years. His work was superb. And, he burned out in a huge sort of flame! So he did it but even he couldn't sustain it without burning out! And, there's no way that Josh Griffith is any kind of Pete Lemay. JG was at his best when he had a full Writing Team and Michael Malone and Linda Gottlieb. The idea that he is capable of this is ... lunacy.

It's ironic that in the screenshots used for the recaps it looks like Alley Mills is playing Heather like a raving lunatic (which is what I expected after seeing her work on B&B), but when watching her performance it is actually much more nuanced, not subtle, but still layered with humor, desperation, and malevolence. I don't know if I would recognize her as Heather, (if the other characters didn't say her name every two seconds), but I enjoy this characterization.
...
As I mentioned I am positively dazzled by Alley Mills & this past 2 days in particular I feel like she's been giving a Master Class in how to play crazy yet relatable! People were starting to try to find a portmanteau for Heather & Ryan & there was Heathan, easy, but I thought we should just go non-traditional and call them TheMentals. It's been fun as people have learned who Esme's parents are!

Talk about a crying shame, but it is true that this is a product of the times we live in. And, of course, there's no chance in hell that the fans would now get any part of what they have been clamoring for, which is all about the writing!
Every Y&R fan should remember what it was like not only when Bill Bell was writing but when Y&R had "Protected Status" & CBS left them alone to do their thing.

We know they're hurting for money
because of the dire need for sets which are not forthcoming.
because of the lack of extras
because the flowers are no longer real
because of things that Sally Sussman Morina said in a podcast a few weeks ago.
Now I believe that they have more vets still on contract & still in their regular salary path than anyone else. I just wonder if money is bad enough to drive even more drastic measures. And, how that would be received by this group of vets.

Do we know if when Britt and Austin were hooked the hook was poisoned?
I assumed since Austin has survived that there was no poison used this time. And, Britt was already in a weakened state so just the trauma of being hooked could have fatal.
Because if the times that we saw Heather hooked people there was no poison involved, it may lend credence to the theory that that there was more than one killer. Although, today's episode indicated that everyone was positive that Heather was the killer, I can't help but think that it would be an odd mid-week resolution, and there has to be another shoe that drops.
They thought that Britt was poisoned but there was nothing about proof after the fact so that is a fact in doubt now.
