Recaps, Friday, January 9th - TRACY'S ON Spencers: Luke and Sonny talk about power shift in PC and what happens after Sonny has it all, when the real trouble begins; Luke asks Sonny to get Johnny out of jail; Lulu realizes something hinkey is going on between Johnny/Claudia; Sonny says he owes Johnny for roughing him up last year so he'll do it; an officer comes in to tell Johnny he's released which makes Lulu say she has the best father in the world. Claudia hopes Luke covered his ass, b/c AZ is going to be livid; Tracy comes into the HS and Luke says he's overwhelmed by the vision of loveliness. Tracy says she was very interested in continuing their affectionate reconciliation until she say who was leaving the HS. Luke jokes and says darn, he should have told that stripper to go out the back door. Tracy says she might have prefered that... actually no, she wouldn't have. She saw Sonny and is very concerned. Luke says he's over joyed that she's agreed to let bygones be bygones, but if she starts monitoring his actions it's going to be the shortest reconciliation on record. Others: Spin realizes Maxie used him; Winnie feeling guilty but knows her job; Nadine testifies; Claudia doesn't interfere with Johnny's situation; CarJax talk about their divorce settlement (Diane and Alexis are making it as difficult as possible); Spixie have a huge fight and both are left distraught; Claus tells Sonny he's just created problems with AZ; Maxie knows she made a huge mistake and goes after Spin to make it right; Jason blows up Sonny's shipment; Spinelli is arrested just as Maxie finds him

I'm wanting to know what happens outside of the fact that Tracy is sick and Luke is her hero. Scrubs practically have their dialogue spelled out, and we can't get anything more than that? How is Luke her hero? How sick does she get? Does it get to the life/death level? Is she conscious? Do they know about Lulu? How does that impact Luke and Tracy? How does he get to her? Why aren't they together in the first place?

Oh... I can't wait. I'm still in the land of wow over the fact that Tracy's getting sick in the first place. Except in love, she's never the one who is hurt.

Thursday, January 8th Spencers: Luke and Ric continue at the docks threatening each other. When Lulu sees it all Luke assures her he's just getting started; Later at the HS Trevor goes to see Luke saying one father to another, don't put Lulu between Anthony and Johnny. Luke asks if Trevor is there on Anthony's orders. Trevor says he's the calling card - don't ever come between a father and his son. Sonny arrives and asks what Trevor is doing there. Luke wants to find out. Trevor continues blustering and notices they go way back (yup, to Frank Smith, they laugh). Luke and Sonny continue to play cards while Trevor talks about what Claudia will do to Sonny. Trevor leaves but not without reminding Luke he lost a draw bet to Trevor about getting Lulu out of town, and he might want to think about it. Once he's gone Sonny says isn't this about the time Luke runs out of town? Luke says yeah, but he broke his back getting back to his wife and he's not about to leave and make her think he's gone after Laura. Sonny nods his understanding. Luke then talks about the mob business going down and Sonny says that night is the night he takes back everything that belongs to him. Others: Jax is creeping me out with his treatment of Olivia, Sam and Lucky are not communicating; Sonny is telling Carly how painful it was for him to loose Michael, Carly and Jason all at the same time; Alexis arranges for Nadine to speak at Senate hearing; Sam/Maxie bonding; Alexis and Diane plot to get Carly and Jax back together; Spixie lovin (just wish Maxie knew it her true heart); Winnifred meets with Agent Reynor about Spin - and he tells her Spin is a means to the end to get Sonny.

Totally OT.... HELP..... my best friend since birth is coming for a visit this afternoon (she's the one who has an annual breakdown just before Christmas about not having a husband and children, and calls me..... I don't get it either). Anyway she's one of the people with no dependents save a mother who can be sat in the corner with a book while my friend does her thing. Now her mother has early Alzheimer, which is very stressful and I don't want to belittle it in the least, but it's not the same as raising 4 kids between 4-10. She is the world's martyr and everything is so busy, so unhappy, so twisted, so unhealthy. Honestly, she makes Eeyore look like he's the life of the party. So she's coming (right around 3 btw, so if I don't give recaps that's the reason - and today Luke is talking to Sonny so I'm doubtful of a Tracy appearance). I can deal with all of this - the problem is she's made a second CD of her music and wants my opinion. IT'S AWFUL!!!! My 10 year old writes better lyrics. Honestly, she's off key, her voice fades in and out, and the words are so repetitive. She wants me to talk about the 'symbolism' in everything, and honestly it's just bad - not symbolic to my hearing at all. And from a commercial POV if she wanted something to sell it can't be her introspection where there isn't a context. I don't know how to deal with this. She has never been able to hear honest criticism - if something negative is said the other person is just jealous. She has been hired to sing at wedding and funerals quite a bit - not her stuff, the old standards - and that she does well. But this.... argh..... She has actually told me that I just have to wait, wait until the day I'm finally published and no one reads my books, then I'll know how rejected she feels. I know I write some stuff that sucks, and I trust all of you to be honest about that. But I can't be honest with her because her ego is eggshels. I am not looking forward to this afternoon...... I'll be coming later for cyber-hugs.

Today's Recap, Wednesday, January 7 - Drat... no TQ, but for what it's worth...... STATS Vets: Luke Kisses: n/a Appearance: n/a Other Stories: Sonny doing mob stuff; Maxie still dealing with Winnie; Diane resigns as Sonny's lawyer; CarJax banter about hotel; Liz helps Lucky with taxes then they play video game and Sam arrives to look in window; Spin believes Winnie over Maxie Line of the day: it's ouch - Maxie to Spin "Who wants to be your grasshopper?" Sc. 1 - Luke walks into the interrogation room and tells Johnny this is becoming too familiar. Johnny says let me guess, you want me to stay away from Lulu. Luke says no, he's giving up that futile effort, now he's there to help. Johnny says it's going to be hard. "I was framed by the best." "Sit down Jr. You're looking at the best." Sc. 2 - Luke wants the information, and still considers Johnny his partner whom he needs free. Lulu assures him Luke knows his stuff. Johnny gives him the details. Lulu is completely convinced Luke will be able to turn it all around. Luke and Johnny aren't so convinced. Sc. 3 - Luke/Lulu working Elizabeth at the hospital trying to get the inside on Carl Purvis. Elizabeth says she can't give them any information, but she does tell them the room he's in. Sc. 4 - No Luke Sc. 5 - Luke calls Ric (who's trying to intimidate) impersonates Purvis saying he will tell the cops the truth if Ric doesn't meet him on the pier. Ric is rattles, Lulu is impressed but Luke cautions her that the real work is about to begin Sc. 6 - Ric comes to the docks to meet Luke. Luke tells Ric to back off or he'll tell Alexis. Ric then lays into Luke about not being father of the year, and that Luke was the only one to do anything incriminating. Luke says he doesn't interfere in his kids lives unlike AZ. Ric then tells Luke AZ wants his son back and he'll roll over anyone who gets in the way. Sc. 7 - No Luke

Oh Luv.... I wish I had been on last night to back you up. Those fans are so desperate they were even seeing that SOC has her listed at Tracy Quartermaine rather than Tracy Quartermaine-Spencer, as proof that they won't be married long and that Laura is returning soon. It's pathetic, actually. But we've got the couple going forward, so we get to laugh best. I'm currently watching Grease and avoiding doing housework (what's new), and was reminded of a drop I saw a number of weeks ago. There's an insider at SD that uses high school roles for her code - Hooked has brought spoilers here that apply. Well anyway they were refreshing the list of character/code and Tracy now has her own code name. Luke has always been "Overaged Student", but Tracy is now "Rizzo". I think that's funny. Hooked, that one about some dying and other's not I'm sure means Tracy will be ill enough for Luke to emote properly, but not so ill that she's be life/death. But honestly - she's never even had a hangnail so regardless of how sick she gets, this is record breaking.

I've only needed to put one ignore, and life is much nicer. If they weren't so obnoxious about it, I'd fell sorry for the LnL/ewcbo fans who are grasping at anything for a sign that 'the angel' is coming back. Oh well.... So, it's Wednesday tomorrow - always a good day for the 'others'. What's the chance of seeing her tomorrow?

I knew there were more - thanks LA. And Nex, you don't have to give. As ILTQ put it on SOC: "And really....Luke choosing to let the ball land on 6 is one of the most romantic things he's ever done. (he made his own fate, which is soooo much more than it landing there by chance)." I'm expecting another 39th birthday party in early April, or at least some reference. Tracy's birthday has always been significant to Luke.

Tracy's not that dumb, she suspected he rigged it all along. And really, Tracy was the one who had to give on this one, not Luke. He's proven over and over again that he wants her - Tracy just let her stubbornness get in the way. You could see by the smirk she had when he talked about begging until his knees were raw, that she had been pushing him to see when he would quit.

See, I'm not bothered by that at all - it shows Luke will do anything to keep her. He was far too calm while she was gambling for it to have been just luck. I think it's kind of romantic that Luke keeps going to all this trouble just to keep her. It's twisted - it's LuNacy... EDIT Well, we were jipped Bobbie today. Folks aren't amused. Mike notices that the designs are to restore Kelly's, not rebuild. Luke says what his baby sister wants she gets, and she wants everything just like before. Luke just looks at Mike then gives him the blueprints and says go to work. Mike takes the hint. Very cute interaction between father and daughter (and she knows that he's playing with the cheat button on the Roulette wheel) Sc. 8 - (my count is obviously off) Luke says he can get him out, but first Luke says they have to expose the set-up. Lulu asks "we?" Luke then says "Papa still has a few things left to teach. Are you coming?" Lulu excitedly goes after him

Okay Tracy freaks - I've got a list going on SOC of all the people the current characters have slept with, and I'm feeling Tracy's list is too brief. Currently I have this: Tracy: Mitch, Larry, Paul, Luke, Scotty, Barret?, Coleman, David, father of aborted baby Who am I missing? I'm sure we'll see her. She won't be far from Luke. Another spoiler said Tracy and Luke really work on their marriage - they can't do that when they are never together. GHH2 also said the hospital benefit (which Carly mentioned she wanted to do today) starts the week of January 19th. Tracy is still listed as a victim while Luke trying to get to her. Lulu is supposed to be shot when she refuses to pick either brother to be shot. Tracy in the room or anywhere near Lulu getting shot is going to react regardless of how others might try to stop her.

No TQ I'm afraid.... Lucky arrests Johnny (obviously skipping the chapter in the cop handbook entitled "Conflict of Interest") and Lulu does what she can to help him. There's been no sighting of her in the medianet for awhile - but we know she's been there. Hopefully this is just a case of being on the other side of the room when someone said "say cheese".

Too funny, Hooked - balance.... I think I heard about that once. I realized during church yesterday that I only demand one hour a day - M-F it's GH and Sunday it's worship. I don't even get an hour on Saturday. If I didn't have everything from groceries to clothing delivered to my door, I imagine I wouldn't even get those few hours. Don't even get me started on how much of my socializing is online as opposed to r/l. But I digress..... yeah, I don't think we can do 5 months again. That was painful and towards the end we all had vacation fatigue. I think 3 we can handle well, 4 if we had to but that's pushing it. But those last few weeks were killer. I re-read some of it. I still like the Dance (ch. 4) best, but the kidnapping by Trevor (ch. 35, 36, 41-46) and the food (ch. 50) are right up there. Thanks for the set-up on the kidnapping. And who didn't laugh with Lainey's boycott? Ah... good memories..... I think we'll see her this week. When they are happily together Tracy is usually at the HS with Luke or wherever he is. It's only when they've been fighting (which was most of 2008, unfortunately) that they don't share scenes. Besides, we've actually been getting storyline follow through of late, and with everyone who told Tracy to get over herself and take Luke back, I can't see TPB not giving any reaction scene. And for all of you dealing the the school/home dicotomy - take it from someone who's living the school/home life.... sometimes space from each other is a good thing (yes, this can be interpreted to mean the kids are not cooperating today - I swear... how nasty am I that I expect them to do school with intent for 2 hours a day. Child abuse, I tell you!!!)

And they say the hospital thing will play out between now and early February - everyone and their dog said she was part of that. So we shall see. Didn't TG give up a week to return early for NSII? He was due a week at least - after the payoff on NYE, I'm cool with them taping everything at once and then taking a rest. They've been on consistently since mid-October. We can't exactly claim neglect at this point in time.

No, this was part of the deal that had him taking all his vacation over the summer. He goes from March to February, or February to January as his year, so he didn't have any left over for January. So we've got him until sometime in Spring when he will be gone for a week or two, then the summer again. BTW thanks for compiling those legit spoilers. I've heard that the actress who plays Helena (can't remember her name) has been in talks, and she's the only one I can think of that would be 'waltzing' back into Luke's life and distract him. It's not ewcbo, that's been confirmed in a few places. TR is the other person coming back for a short stint, I believe. As for Tracy this week, we've also seen a spoiler where she compares Johnny to Luke for Lulu. I would imagine that would take place this week as since this is when Lulu goes to Luke for help. She might not be in spoilers but I can't imagine Tracy won't be around after being so present up to NYE.

The pairing thing is very reminiscent of the MC, and Guza could go either way on that one. He said it was undone before, but he also likes revisiting his crowning achievements, so one doesn't know. Getting all of these secrets out would be a great way to jump-start a million different stories and conclude some of the open ended ones, though. I've also seen insiders say they value their job too much to spoil anything about the hospital crisis so who knows - perhaps the gag order has been lifted considering how close we are, perhaps it's blowing wind up our skirts. We'll find out in a few weeks regardless. I'm just happy to see Tracy's name in print, and Luke fighting to get in to her would be consistent with his never being there at the right time but always being the hero to his family in the end.

Anyway, this popped up just now on the IL: Mr. Craig tells Epiphany about how Stan died Lucky wants Liz to lie about Jake. He is willing to take a bullet to keep it from coming out. They do not want Trevor to know. Craig shoots Lucky and the truth comes out anyway. Olivia wants Kate to lie about Dante, but she spills it anyway to save Sonny. Do not expect Sonny to thank Kate for it. Carly tells Patrick she thinks Robin is off her rocker and needs help. Patrick agrees with Carly in front of everyone to keep Craig from shooting Robin (again). Tracy admits that she and Luke messed with Alan's will in order to save Monica. Leyla admits she tried to steal Patrick from Robin even though she knew he loved Robin. In order to save Johnny, Trevor admits that he had an affair with his mother and he favors Johnny over Ric. Carly claims that she loves Jax more than Sonny. Will Jerry shoot his brother?
