Tuesday, no Tracy... Hells and Luke at the Star. Flirting between Ethan/Helena, Luke/Helena and banter between Luke/Ethan. Ethan tries to steal Hell's wallet but she sees him and pulls her stiletto. Luke asks her not to kill his bartender. Helena watches the interaction between Luke/Ethan and once Ethan is sent out back so Luke can talk turkey with Hells she wonders if his son will give her as many years of entertainment as he has. Luke tells her to leave Lucky alone - she's hurt him enough. Helena says not Lucky, his son Ethan. Luke says she's crazy and twisted but as Helena continues to wonder aloud about playing with Ethan, Luke starts to strangle her then almost kisses her. Ethan enters, Hells makes one last comment before she leaves, then Luke watches Ethan with new eyes. Elsewhere... Scrubs seem in a better place CarJax and ClauSon deal with the pregnancy fallout Rebeccily goes off on Nic/Alexis Olivia supports both Sonny and Carly Jax tells Alexis about Jerry/Michael Hope we get Tracy tomorrow.

There's a difference between the lead characters having the lead in their stories and all the other characters being MIA. Going into last summer they rarely had characters interacting outside of their immediate pairing, but now they've had months of friendships and family interactions. They aren't going to stop that on a dime just because the Solstice comes. And they've already set up the stories for the summer: Rebecilly, Luthan, competing pregnancies, Corinthos kids return, and possibly Scrubs conflict. I'm still counting 3 out of 5 stories that involve Quartermaines. More confirmation overnight that Luke leaves town to find Robert because of Ethan. Luke isn't going anywhere because of Holly, and the only time he's left without telling Tracy in the last few years was after his heart attack, so there's no reason to suggest she won't be aware of what he's doing. LuNacy are in a good place and there is plenty of story without Luke keeping something so simple from Tracy.

GV said it's Tony's 'exit for the summer storyline', and basically it can't be like last year because it won't be as long and the Q's are being written into three of the stories we are having over the summer. We also have been told he's pre-taped so Luke isn't missing as long. TPTB and TG really took a bath with his and JE's absense from the screen. We should be hearing something in the rags in the coming months. I know the natual penchant around online boards is to be negative about what's happening, but TPTB have seen some of their mistakes and have noticeable corrected them. It's far from perfect but we are not going to have a summer focused on only 6 characters like last summer - that failed miserably. TPTB aren't idiots and they can learn.

I don't think it will be that dismal. They are bringing ES for Ethan, not Luke. So you've got Lulu's Mama and Ethan's Mama with lots of shared history and a shared lover. It could be interesting. We also have no way of knowing how long TG will be gone. It won't be like last year no matter how you cut it, and TG is also rumoured to have pre-taped so it might mean that TG is gone but Luke is still around. And don't forget Tracy will have her oar in with Michael and Rebeccily if she is proven to be Emily, so there are other things happening with Tracy outside of Luthan and the Spencermaines. I seriously doubt she will disappear this summer until JE's vacation in July/August.

No Tracy today, Monday April 20th... Luke runs into Sonny on the docks. Luke tells him Bobbie mentioned it being the anniversary of Michael's shooting and Luke offers his regrets ("How do you morn a child who's not dead but who's not alive either?"). Sonny asks Luke to help him find Jerry Jax. Sonny tells Luke about the position he's in vis-a-vis Ric/Claudia/Devlin/Jerry and Luke says the easiest way to deal with it is not to murder his wife, just chalk it up to a terrible accident. Sonny asks Luke if he could forgive anyone shooting his kid with a bullet aimed at him (which of course Luke has experienced first hand). Claudia and Carly both get positive pee-sticks. Jax kicks Jerry's butt to the proverbial curb. Rebecca/Helena on docks discovered by Nicholas - both lie through their teeth. Scrubs prepares for surgery while everyone fears Robin's ability. Alexis shows Nicholas Rebecca's plastic surgery scar. Spencer reference - Nicholas said he sent him away when Hells returned. Man Claudia's good - she arranges for Sonny to overhear her making an appointment for an abortion when she's really on the phone with John. I don't like this whole pregnancy story, but I love how manipulative Claudia is. She's a riot.

T'would make sense - they can't drag the "Ethan might be Luke's child" out too long because the viewers aren't amused by the suggestion. If they have the whole brouhaha out and over with, then they can get on with Lulu/Ethan and Holly/Tracy. TG has been here steadily since last September, so I imagine a guy who's used to getting large breaks is just about ready to run for the hills. Wonder what kind of interview stuff we will get this year... Now lets hope we keep getting the Tracy we've been getting. Aside from TG/Luke being MIA for five months, I'm sure the message was delivered that having JE/Tracy basically MIA for the same period will go over like a lead balloon. She might only be about Lulu/Ethan, but that's something. Throw in Holly and I hope it lives up to it's potential. I also think all the attention on Hells returning isn't just for one week. I'm expecting someone to comment next week that the document can't be the end of it, foreshadowing her return later in the summer.

I think they are all true - or at least mostly. The Q's and Michael is a story that's been waiting to be told for ages and TPTB would be foolish to turn that one away given the state of the ratings. Also I don't think TG will be gone long - certainly not the 5 months of last summer. The backlash against the character and TG's vacations with LuNacy being on-again/off-again, LnL finally ending and Luke being characterized as a superfical drunk/child neglector has not done GH or TG any favours. I can see a lot more to the character but a lot of fans are sticking to the surface and ignoring everything else. It's not the time for GH to be "artistic".

Holly will be on over the summer, so I doubt Tracy will think that - unless Holly tries to convince her that Luke left and isn't coming back and THAT would be the whopper, 'cause he always comes back. I was reading these spoilers this morning and everything tracks with what we've been seeing, the spoilers previously revealed and the rumours about who's doing what (and who's leaving). What do you think is the secret Nicholas is keeping from not-Emily? The only one I can think of is he knows about Claudia, but that doesn't impact Rebecca in the least.

For a lazy Sunday afternoon..... Confessions... the twenty-eighth

Welcome back BSG. No Tracy today. Robin tosses her meds Claudia and Carly pee on a stick Jax finds Jerry at Michael's bedside Lulu has divided the apartment in two with tape down the middle - funniest thing in the whole show because it's so true. I missed the first half and don't think I missed anything major. I'm wanting them to get back to the Q's and Spencermaines. My computer is frigging around as well (which is why my posts look so crappy). I'm off - I don't trust this thing. Enjoy your weekend everyone.

Hey guys, I missed half of the show, but from what I see it's only about threats today:Jerry threatens Claudia Johnny threatens Ric Helena threatens Nicholas/Alexis SaSon threatens Jerry en absentia No Q's to the best of my knowledge. As for the Holly thing - we've heard so many things that I think it's all a wait-and-see.

I'm treating every Tracy day or prop as a gift. She's been dominating every scene and last week has got to have been one of the best weeks ever. As for the Q's - we've had Monica at least two days already (was she on Monday also?), and Edward, Tracy and Luke two days. That's actually already a good showing this week. I have said I don't think any character should be on more than 2-3 days a week anyway and we've already had that. Anything after this is bonus.

I hope so too, Hooked. And seriously, the whole 'jealousy' angle that Ethan was trying to play was totally ignored by Tracy. Luke might have wondered if there was a point there but he didn't pursue it either. I don't think they are setting up anything other than Tracy has more reason to suspect than Luke knows, and Ethan has no problem playing that.I think Helena will be at the Star before next week. I'm just hoping we see more Tracy.

Recaps, Wednesday April 15th STATS Vets: Monica, Edward, Helena, Alexis, Tracy, Luke Kisses: none Appearance: same as yesterday (media pics with LuNacy/Ethan/martinis are today) Other Stories: Claudia tries to get Jason to believe her; Carly doesn't want to deal with a potential pregnancy; Rick spastic to find the second DVD at the lawyers' office; aftermath of Helena's threat at the hospital; Diane sighting - is she working for Carly now?; Alexis is convinced Helena set up Rebecca; Diane/Max get all twisted up in the possibility that Carly is carrying Sonny's child and wants Jason to help her (it's a funny scene); Rebecca is told (of camera) about Helena and comes back to 'support' Nicholas; Scrubs drama continues and Robin is suspicious of everyone who supports Patrick; DVD is stolen from the lawyers before Johnny or Ric actually get there; Jerry is at Ric's when he gets home and threatens Ric; Patrick openly accuses Robin of sleeping with someone else (Matt, Piph and Liz all try to stop him); Helena is at Windamere and sees Rebecca Line of the Day: anything Luke said about Helena - it came fast and furious Sc. 1 - no LuNacy; replay of Hells's threat with Alexis thinking Rebecca might know more than she's letting on Sc. 2 - Monica/Edward want to know when Helena got back and what she wants. They want to protect Rebecca. Lucky off to find Luke to tell him Hells is back. Nicholas agrees that Edward take Rebecca away. Monica agrees and says they will explain about Helena on the way back to the house. Meanwhile at the H.S. Luke pours drinks and asks about Lulu. Tracy says she's fine and that Johnny was never good enough anyway. Luke waxes on about how it's none of their business and only he and Ethan get that. Tracy tells Luke he's playing him. Luke says maybe, but the irony is that Ethan is the guy he raised Lucky to be. Tracy sarcastically says 'who'd have thought' but it's lost on Luke. He continues that he's a terrible father anyway and his son Lucky became a stranger, but the stranger Ethan is like the son he expected. Ethan overhears. Sc. 3 - Luke supposes if he was a more traditional man, he'd be happy with a son like Lucky. Tracy says he loves his son but they have nothing in common. Luke agrees that's it. Tracy says along comes Ethan and he's right there. Luke says he's right in front of him and she put him there. Tracy says no, Ethan put himself in Luke's way and thinks Ethan is playing him. Luke asks that 'Spanky' give him some credit. Tracy is about to protest when Ethan makes himself known and Tracy is annoyed. Ethan says he's told them everything. Tracy said he's been totally vague and the only slip was Holly Sutton - a known con artist. Ethan leans over to Tracy and says the only problem she seems to have is that he knows Luke's English Rose. Tracy glares at him (both knowing she has that picture so it's more than just Holly) but Luke doesn't know about the picture so he sucks in his breath and slowly looks at Tracy as if to say the lad has a valid point. Sc. 4 - Luke says he's disappointed that she would be jealous of Holly, but don't take it out on Ethan. Tracy keeps asking Ethan what Holly said to him and what she taught him. Ethan says Holly's stories were 'colourful' and she taught him an old poker trick - that's it. Luke steps in to tell Tracy she's fishing without bait, but Tracy counters that perhaps Holly and Ethan are fishing and Luke is the catch. Luke is about to disagree when Lucky burst in and announces that Helena is back. Luke is stunned. Sc. 5 - Lucky tells them Helena returns and took over the hospital. Luke asks how she announced herself and after Lucky tells him he says he admires Helena's style and Tracy asks how he can joke about this. Ethan asks who Helena is and Luke says never mind, he'll find out when she gets there. Lucky tells them the Q's took Rebecca home with them to protect her from Helena and Tracy's eyes practically bug out of her head. Tracy then says they are probably giving her the keys of the kingdom right now, as she grabs her purse off the bar. Luke tells "Popsicle" to hide the good stuff as Tracy leaves to deal with things at home. Ethan asks how he knows she's coming to the H.S and Luke says she always comes to see him. "She's crazy about me - emphasis on crazy", then continues to say that he and Helena have this twisted, psychotic,seductive dance. Lucky yells that Helena kidnapped him and made everyone thing he's dead. Luke says yeah, she's a creative lunatic. Lucky wonders why he even bothered and storms out. Ethan wonders why he lets Lucky do that, and Luke says things are rocky between them right now. Luke shrugs and says Lucky just doesn't share the high opinion that they have of Luke. Then he slaps Ethan's arm in a friendly manner and goes behind the bar and tells Ethan they have to pull out the good hooch for Helena. Sc. 6 - no Tracy; Luke is getting ready to pour and looks up. He's happy to see Alexis. Lex figures Helena will be there soon, she's weirdly attracted to Luke. Luke says it's mutual and asks if she wants a drink. Lex asks if the sun is down and Luke says it is somewhere so he starts pouring and Lex tells him to give her a big drink. Alexis tells Luke she thinks Helena has planted Rebecca and Luke thinks it's possible - Rebecca could even be a clone. Helena has been gone for a very long time, so whatever she's back to do it's big. Sc. 7 - No LuNacy - Hells at Windamere first

Well, I guess that clear up the assumption that Ethan knows Hells or is working for her. If he thinks she's an easy mark he has nooooo idea who she is at all. I'm happy to see Tracy and Luke will be putting Ethan through his paces. I really do like this group together. And I see JMB is being as allusive as ever. She's gotten to be quite a good interview subject because she says a lot but tells nothing. As for May sweeps and Emma Samms - she's supposed to start taping the end of April, and sweeps starts April 24th. It generally runs three weeks, which is the number of weeks out they are taping. If Holly overlaps with sweeps at all it's going to be the very end. Over on SOC we've been throwing around the rumour that Holly asks Luke to pretend Ethan is his son, but he can't tell Tracy. This would be a major wrench in their marriage since Luke lets Tracy know almost everything he's doing - whether she's going to like it or not. The fall out from that act of omission could be extensive if Luthan is a go, Tracy is beyond wild about it and Luke isn't reacting as strongly.

Mmmm... sounds interesting, thanks Hooked. But I seriously doubt this is happening for May sweeps - that will be in the can by the time ES even starts taping according to the dates we've already been given. But either way I'm so happy that they are getting a story and that something else from Luke's past is 'throwing a wrench' in. What is Holly going to offer him, the truth and herself in one package? Tracy is not going to sit quietly by for this one. She might have held her tongue about ewcbo because she didn't want to upset Lulu et al, but there's no such consideration for Holly. Tracy under threat is a sight to behold.

Sorry Hooked, r/l got in the way of my soap gab. I didn't even think of the media pics or their dates, so I guess my assuption increases to 90-10 that they will indeed continue tomorrow. The only LuNacy we had today (in weeks, when you actually think about it) was Tracy turning to Luke, him asking her what Edward thought he needed to know, him calling her Baby (love it when he does that), and a genine smiles between them then the kiss. Tracy didn't look like she was caught, she just looked happy to be with him. I've liked the Lulu/Luke/Ethan cards and stolen money stuff. I've loved the Tracy/Edward/Ethan/Lulu myster of Ethan's past stuff. But I missed my LuNacy pookies. So glad to see them happy today.

Honestly, it's hard to call that one. Last year I would have said no hope at all because it was a nice, almost 'concluding' moment for the two of them. They were happy and kissing - they weren't in the middle of anything that needed continuing. BUT this is now 2009 and Tracy has been very front and center with this Ethan thing. Luthan certainly feels like it will continue tomorrow and given how much they are juxtapositioning LuNacy/Luthan, we could very well have a continuation. There was certainly more that could happen. And given that dates/spoilers haven't been accurate, I'm going with 50/50 for tomorrow.

Recaps, Tuesday April 14th STATS Vets: Monica, Bobbie, Luke, Alexis, Tracy, Edward, Helena Kisses: one very cute kiss, great smiles on both of them Appearance: Hair is sculpted (sorry, I still like it even without the oomph); black - shell, jacket/shirt, pants. Slight frill on each side of jacket, but it's short and fits her (yay!!!) Hair has a red tint again. Other Stories: Reb/Nic stalking continues which doesn't amuse Alexis; Sonny is suspicious of Claudia and wants Carly's opinion of who she trust more - Ric or Claudia (without telling her why); Scrubs crankiness; hospital staff getting settled into their new digs; Carly/Olivia with potential pregnancy drama; Ric threatens Claudia, again; opening of GH - Monica and Nicholas cut the ribbon together, certainly not a gala but lots of folks there including Edward and Alexis (to be fair, there was no spoiler of a Gala but it wasn't cheesy either. short and simple); Sonny prevents Claudia from moving out Line of the Day: Oliva to Carly "Carly Jax, lying to your mother... that's 10 Hail Marys where I come from" Sc. 1 - no LuNacy; New day on GH; Monica/Epiphany/Patrick getting back in place at GH; Bobbie with Carly at MC talking about the hospital re-opening, Carly feels faint and Bobbie asks if she's okay Sc. 2 - no Tracy; Luke post-hangover and Ethan trying to 'cure' him with the Hair of the Dingo. They talk shop and how the H.S. did well last evening and thanks him for not asking too many questions about what he was doing the previous night. Ethan assures Luke he just took the cream off the till. Lucky comes into the H.S and blast Luke for not stepping up to the plate for Lulu. He wants them all to be there for Lulu and isn't happy that Luke can only say Lulu can take care of herself. Ethan blasts Lucky after he insults Luke and tells Lucky some people would be proud to call Luke their father. Sc. 3 - Tracy arrives at the apartment and wants to know what Lulu knows about Ethan. Lulu sarcastically says she's fine, thanks for asking. Tracy says it's good to see that she's still broken up with Johnny. She's a real Spencer and is attracted to the dark side. Lulu needs a distraction Meanwhile, Ethan talks down to Lucky about how it could have had a better father - a drunk who beat him and his mother regularly or the perfect business man who slips of his wedding ring regularly to have fun. Then Ethan tells Lucky how proud Luke is of him that he crossed the country when he was 11. Luke sits quietly and listened. Lucky then looks at Luke and says he sold Ethan the line - the great Luke Spencer who can do everything but be there for his family. Lucky then leaves and Luke tells Ethan he appreciates him having Luke's back, but he's like an old piano and doesn't appreciate being played. The father stuff Ethan was spouting cuts a little too close to the bone. Ethan says he's sorry, but he meant every word. Luke ponders. Sc. 4 - Lulu tells Tracy she found the hotel on the highway which doesn't make sense because Luke would have let him live on the boat - Tracy agrees. Lulu says he pulled her into the room and didn't seem to want to be seen with him. Tracy asks if he hurt her and Lulu says he didn't but he got really angry that she was there. Tracy agrees that he got very aggressive when she started pushing him as well. Lulu says there's no point in pursuing it, but Tracy disagrees saying Ethan has an agenda and is after Luke. Lulu asks Tracy why she's so sure but Tracy puts her off. Then Lulu says Tracy doesn't know Luke, that they will both play the game until Ethan bests Luke then he will leave. Tracy asks why she says that and Lulu says because that's what Luke would do. Meanwhile Luke tells Ethan to take the day off and cut Lucky some slack - Lucky knows things about Luke that Ethan doesn't. Ethan says the past should stay there and Luke asks Ethan if there's nothing in the past that makes him angry. Ethan says sure there is. Sc. 5/6 (lost count of the scenes, sorry) - Lulu/Ethan encounter at her apartment. Meanwhile Tracy walks into the Star and sees Edward. Eddie says he was looking for Luke, but Luke didn't come home last night. Tracy tells him to lay off. Edward then asks when she's going to give Luke the news, but Tracy points out she doesn't have any news just a picture. Edward says she's got enough evidence and wants to see Luke take responsibility for his actions and he's wanted payback for Luke for ages for taking so much from the Quartermaines. Tracy reminds Edward of the last time Luke left because he had to deal with things and how it's not a good idea to say anything because there's nothing to tell yet. Luke enters and sees Tracy/Edward and says he doesn't like the looks of that. Edward tells him to pour a drink, because Tracy has something to tell him. Tracy tells Edward goodbye and he leaves. She turns back to the bar and Luke asks her "is there anything you want to tell your old man, Baby, or should I just pour the martinis and we coast through the afternoon". They smiles at each other and lean in for a kiss. Sc. 7 - no LuNacy; Edward blusters about poor construction on GH since the power went out. Then power comes back with Helena threatening Nicholas. (Everyone leaves the scene except Monica, Edward, Nicholas and Rebecca who stand in the nurse's hub.)

No worries, Nex. You had a lot to edit this week. Okay - look at Ethan's face in the first picture. Doesn't that look like he's calling her bluff? I think he does know her and doesn't fear her. Then the second picture she's reminding him not to toy with her. The second Luke/Helena one looks interesting too. Either he's just heard something he doesn't like or he's about to. That's his "You better not be messing with me" look. As for the first one - he and Tracy do a lot of face touching, but that's certainly not the loving embrace he has for her. His hands look a little too big around her throat. Helena's not sure what he's going to do either. Oh.... I can't wait to see these folks mixing it up. Scrubs spoilers say Tracy battens down the hatches when she realizes her 'old friend' is back in town, so a Helena/Tracy/Luke interaction is going to be good.

That's the part I don't understand. Luke has always told Tracy the truth, whether she wants to hear it or now. Tracy hasn't been as forth coming, but this isn't the kind of thing she would hide from him. Sound like Luke is all turned around on this one and struggling to figure out which way is up. Then there's also the possibility that the May sweeps spoilers the rags have have already been altered. Another drop has Lulu befriending Michael and she's the one who brings him home to the Q's. That would be nice to see.

Thanks for the pic, Hooked - is that a new jacket? And someone tell me when I started channeling Ms. Q about wardrobe? (Get back here, Ms. Q - I'm freaking myself out.) That picture of Luke and Helena is hilarious - you do realize it could go either way, a kiss or choking. So today... we had a break from Tracy, but lots of propping by Ethan and Lulu. Yup, Ethan's up to something and he's scared Tracy will find it out. They also played up the whole "I feel like I've known him my whole life" thing with Ethan/Luke. So obvious what they want viewers to believe - which of course means that it's not the real truth. Helena ended the show with a scary pair of heels (seriously, who can walk in those?) and that bone-chilling laugh of hers. Between the two we had Spin deck Johnny then give his blessing with a threat of no end of violence if Johnny hurts Maximista, Sonny threaten Claudia if he finds out her involvement with Michael's shooting, Rebecca is cancer free, Lulu kicked Maxie out of the apartment and Carly struggling over what to do IF she's pregnant and IF she's so high risk she might die. All in all another very good episode. TQ-S is back tomorrow!!!!! Kind of her to lend the screen to others while she prepares for another day. I'm wondering if the conversation at the H.S. is after the Gala and they are doing a post-mortem, or if it happens before the event. Leaving the Chair of the Board out of the re-opening would be a faux-pas even too big for the inattentive - and they've been very attentive to Tracy lately.

Thanks for the spoilers Hooked. Personally I hope they are all true and that TPTB learned for the disaster of last summer. 2007 was bad, but 2008 was hideous. My only reticence is the reference to TG's winter vacation, because he didn't have a winter vacation - all those weeks were added to his summer vacation last year, as we are all painfully aware. TG said so himself. Now, he might have taken a week or two and pre-taped those scenes with NP, but it wasn't the winter vacation he's had in the past. If they are going to go with the Helena/Holly/Tracy/Luke/Ethan/Lulu/Rebecca/Nicholas as one umbrella with Sonny/Carly/Jax/Alexis/Michael/Kristina/Edward for another, and Scrubs/Spixie and a few others thrown in to boot, I think it's shaping up to be a very good summer. The compartmentalizing of couples has been a great disservice to GH.
