  1. This on Wubs... And, yes, Luke finds out Edward isn’t willing to help HIM or TRACY!! AND HE’S MAD! I wonder who Lukey's mad at - Edward deserves the wrath of Mr. Tracy so I hope it's him and not Tracy (can't imagine why he would be mad at Tracy right now. I'm sure he's hurt she left him, but he knows Tracy and that's not something that would anger him as much as disappoint him...) And from Daytime Confidential... The only decent thing all day was the all too brief Quartermaine stuff (why was Edward wearing a hat indoors, and I'm not really sure how I feel about Tracy's hair.) I thought this was funny.
  2. I'm with you, I don't remember really what was going on back then. But I'm really hoping they do play up the Laura/Scott history. I think too often the rags have only done LnL so new/occasional viewers only think of them. They have to do better with these characters if they are going to continue. The Tracy/Scott connection hasn't been well done either - just the desk reference. I think many uninitiated viewers don't know that Laura and Scott were married and happy (as young, stupid teenagers) long before Lucas L. Spencer came to town. The story of Tracy/Luke/Scott/Laura will be a whole lot more compelling when they see that it ISN'T Luke/Laura with others, but that Luke/Scott, Luke/Tracy, Luke/Laura, Tracy/Scott, Tracy/Laura, Scott/Laura all have their own connections through history. I know the actors will be playing it that richly - lets hope the writers for this story know a thing or two about that history as well. (And crossing my fingers hoping Guza is so focused on his mob-opera that he penned the outlines for the Scrubs drama and the LuNacy drama then gave the actually writing of these stories to someone else.)
  3. I find it telling that Scott comes up with this plan and Laura basically goes along. I wonder what actual 'rescue' there will be.
  4. Hmmmm... do they make condoms that big? Bend over and take a breath...
  5. It's a Guza quote - they are how accurate??? He even called Jerry Jack a 'vital' part of the canvas. Mountains out of molehills... It's the LnL swansong. LnL don't work anymore, and haven't since the 80's. They need Scott, Tracy and the screamers to really tell this story because Luke is with Tracy, Laura can renew something with Scott, and the kids can get their closure and move on. Then Laura can come back to visit whenever Guza feels it necessary and nothing is lost. Laura can be 'the angel', the kids can whine about something other than not having their mother, and Tracy can still feel just that little bit insecure in Luke's love that she does crazy things. It's win-win all the way around. Luke and Scott can continue there feud with now two women between them, and the story can spin out a million different ways. It's all good. There is no doom and gloom here.
  6. I don't think it will play like this at all. He did that only once, and it backfired on him. Two years later he might ask her help because he knows he can trust her and she's his best ally, but it isn't because she's second fiddle. When it came to the stuff around Alan, Tracy turned to Luke for help for the same reason. And it's November - LUNACY MONTH!!! I'm thinking this is a red herring. One of the most solid parts of LuNacy is their complete honesty with each other. BesidesTracy doesn't 'know' Scott killed RW. She suspects but has no proof. Scott confessed to Lulu alone, and there is no hard evidence one way or another.
  7. Too funny! It's long been believed that our collective nature stems from the need to work together to survive our winters. Whole dissertations have been written to that effect. We have our wackos, but they usually fly south. In fact our election yesterday had five major parties: New Democratic Party (leftest - founders were based in unions and state run health care) Greens (leftists - environmentally based and partnered with European Green parties) Block Quebecois (leftist - Quebec only) Liberal (left-centrists - natural ruling party who is usually right in the middle Conservatives (unfortunately run by a jr. Bush wanna-be, but have had a history of Red-Torry, fiscally conservative/socially liberal) If all the left parties were one, this country would hardly ever be 'Conservative' - which is never as small 'c' conservative as you folks get. I'm already laughing. I wonder what Luke is going to say to her to get her cooperation this time. I'm just glad that he's had to 'rescue' Tracy before this happened.
  8. OMG, that is hilarious!!! I showed Mike the pictures and all he could say was "oh.... my....". Now live she was animated, excited and really super happy - a still just doesn't capture that. And for anyone (like my husband) who didn't get the reference: The Heat Miser... You know, this is something I have never understood about US politics. It's "God Bless America" and separation of God and state; courting the religious right but banning religious holiday expressions (like Christmas trees - which are pagan to begin with anyway). Canadians just don't seem to have the polarity you folks have. I always find it fascinating that two nations that from the outside appear like they developed simultaneously are so very different in nature and character and social history.
  9. Okay gals, please vote for Obama and get McCain on the retirement line. Within 15 minuted of listening to it: We need to get rid of foreign oil. Middle East, Venezuela.... we'll keep Canada's, I have no problem with them..... Oh, so glad you like our raw crude... Free Trade: don't even get me going. Health Care: "If you want a one payment system move to Canada..." Now while we do have a one-pay system (the gov't) and our oil is mercenary-free, it's the tone and attitude. Ding dong, we are NOT the 51st state! BTW, why are you still discussing abortion?
  10. Yeah.... but her eyes were SHINNING!!! Entitled much? Luke already has his hands full with his Popsicle - 'the angel' needs to fly away. Honestly, who/what do they think they/LnL are??? Two people are on contract and one is a publicity stunt to move another story along. There was no other outcome but LuNacy. Are they even aware this is 2008 or are they living so deeply in dream world that they haven't seen what life is now like in Port Chuck?
  11. Stats: Vets - Edward, Monica, Tracy, Scott Sc. 1 nothing Sc. 2 nothing Sc. 3 - Q's in their living room. Tracy comes in excited to have a lead. Monica and Edward are not amused, saying all other leads led to nothing so what was so amazing about this one. And if it's so good, why is she still here? Tracy tells them she's just waiting for confirmation then she's going to Mexico to get him. Monica and Edward continue to be disinterested and Tracy asks why they aren't excited. Edward goes into a long song and dance about how without Luke his cigars have been in their place, and if Luke wants a smoking jacket he can get his own. Tracy gets frustrated with them saying Lulu needs her father. Edward and Monica scoff at that idea, saying Luke pushed Laura over the edge so how can he be any good for Lulu? Monica continues saying Luke even boasts about not being a good father so how can he possibly help. Then Edward says Tracy might try being noble, but she's actually getting Luke for herself because she's the one who really needs him - seeing Luke is the only one who can handle her, for the short amount of time he's actually around. Tracy says why would that be the issue since he could be arrested the minute he returns. Edward continue agreeing saying he's got a warrant for his arrest for money laundering and skipping town. Tracy takes Edward's hand then slaps a phone into it. She tells him to star dialing and call in every favour he can to get Luke cleared of all charges, or SHE will cause a whole lot of trouble. (Hair is awful - yes, this is from me - and I'm not sure if JE is acting or not, because Tracy's eyes are shinning the whole time talking about Luke coming back.) Sc. 4 - Edward saying he's not going to call in any favours for Luke, saying he needs those favour just in case the family needs the help. Monica agrees with Edward, saying Luke is Tracy's husband so Tracy should deal with it not the Q's. Tracy turns on her and says Luke married into this family just like Monica did, you "gold digger". Monica goes on her 12-step trip saying they are not going to enable Tracy and her unhealthy relationship with Luke. Tracy says only Monica could leave rehab with new ways to annoy her, to which Monica replies she learned new ways to deal with Tracy. Tracy turns on her and says if Alan was having an affair and was in trouble, she would expect the family to help him no matter what. Monica has nothing to say because she knows Tracy is right. Finally Tracy turns to Edward and says this isn't about herself or Luke, it's about helping Lulu. Sc. 5 nothing Sc. 6 - Edward says he does have a soft spot for Lulu, the witness stand broke his heart. Then help Luke comes home for Lulu, Tracy implores. Monica and Edward start trading barbs saying Luke isn't going to do anything for Lulu and that it's all about Tracy wanting to control Luke any way she can. Tracy looks at both of them and tells them to get over themselves, neither of them are strangers to lies and manipulation to keep a marriage together. The phone rings and Tracy gets the news she wants. Excitedly she tells them she is going to get Luke and while she is gone Edward is going to call in those favours and get the charges dropped. OR, Tracy will call the members of his club and tell them he's stooped to Internet Dating. Edward sputters 'that's ridiculous', then Tracy says "SellHighandSplit" - and she'll share the picture in the Speedo. Tracy smiles triumphantly, Edward knows he's had and Tracy leaves smiling. Sc. 7 nothing
  12. ^^^ yeah, don't know why she would (assuming it's true), 'cause the word has been out for more than a few days. SR's publicists is saying it's false, but insiders are saying Monday was his last day on the set. Oh well.... GH politics... I just finished watching NSII. I loved the connection between the old-timers, but I'm not sure if I'd want them all back or not. It worked in the 80's but this is just a different decade. Sean did say they couldn't go back, which was nice to hear. Someone reported that Luke said "I wish we could do this on the mother ship". That wasn't said, but I'm wondering if it was Luke or Tony - it does make a difference. My one complaint - NO RING!!! Glad the 'mother ship' has that one right, at least. So, I'm prepped for this afternoon. One more hour and we start the Tracy Marathon (that's what I'm calling it and you can't change my mind ). Today, tomorrow, Friday, Monday, Tuesday (I would bet, even though her name wasn't specifically in the spoilers), Wednesday, Thursday... that's 6/7 days in a row! At her yearly rate that's more days than she's had over the past 5 months, and we might burn her out!
  13. Thanks for the continuing spoilers, Hooked. Nice to know how to plan my social life. And the 23rd for the LuNacy love-in.... love it! You can NOT convince me LuNacy is ending. Guza is sticking it to LnL and I'm going to enjoy it. I've been watching the election results all evening. The Conservatives won a minority again (blah). The Liberals will be needing to choose a new leader soon - they lost about 20 seats. Not good. And my dear old New Democratic Party have picked up 7 more seats. Jack Layton (nicknamed "The Mustache") did really well. I think it's time to get more involved in politics. Never too young to involve the screamers. Twitter... anyone know anything? The online commentator is talking about them.
  14. To my good and faithful servants, all of whom have taken this epic adventure with me over these past 5 months, I commend you all. Through frustration, false information and disappointment you have all turned to me to aid in your suffering. Lo these past 21 weeks we have endeavored to find our entertainment and solace in other venues, not the least of which as voyeurs on this mythic and magical journey. But now as we enter the final 24 hours of our travels, let me share with you how our mighty heroine and hero have been faring... The final chapter in the Annals of Luke and Tracy's Excellent Adventures... and lest we forget... The final Blog entry of Luke and Tracy's Excellent Adventures... and now we bid this tale adieu.
  15. Oh baby girl..... failure to finish has never been my problem.
  16. TG gave his pronouncement on Guza in June when he called JFP his friend and lumped Guza in with the writers. That has nothing to do with whether he retires (the secret), and we will have that one teased for months to come. TG has already been pretty clear that he isn't a fan of Bobby's anymore.
  17. This really does track with the development of Luke/Tracy as well as the attitude of the show towards them and the past: From the lil sharks poster... (maybe early 80s or early 90s?) Hey Lil Sharks! Can you give out any bits and pieces on the luke/laura/tracy/scotty story? If you love the Tracy from the mid 80's, who will do anything to get what she wants, you might be a little disappointed, but she going to fight a little dirty to keep her man. Some really good scenes for JE, but she makes gold out of the puff that B. G. and Co. have given her. Her fans are going to like her arguments to Luke about the "great" love of he and Laura. Nor should it be 'Tracy from the 80's'. That was 20 years ago and the situations are so different. Then she was fighting from nothing, now she has her family, her company and her husband - her fight is going to be on a whole different level. Sorry that you question it, but you might want to consider that Laura isn't going to be really happy with Luke. She is going to be unhappy with his disconnect from their children, when they needed him most, she is also well aware of Luke and Tracy's connection, and Laura is going to be turning to her children for support. Hope you aren't too disappointed with how things come about, Laura loves Luke and he loves her, but they both will recognize that their love for one another has changed in significant ways. Please let this be true. Makes complete sense again. Laura has always been about the children, which has driven Luke to distraction for decades - that's not new, btw. It isn't reinterpretation of Luke that he didn't want to be a father, etc. That has been played at over the years long before Guza got his hands on everything. Luke was willing to do it for Laura, but that was not his comfortable place. And the reality is that some people really get into the nurturing part of parenthood (the early years, like Laura) while others really get into the grove of parenting with teenagers or adult children - like Luke is. So what he isn't the male version of Laura - god preserve us from that nightmare. As for realizing their love has changed - well Lucky and Liz did that, Carly and Sonny did that, why can't Luke and Laura finally admit that who they were once upon a time is different (and get me front row centre for that 'cause I have always thought this pair way over rated and mismatched). TG has some really terrific scenes with JE. JE fans are going to love her, tender, vulnerable and snarky. They are really wonderful together. But TG might not be around for too long, and don't look for GF to get or even particularly want the guys this go round. But will tell the fans of all three that you will really enjoy the soapy angst coming up for them. We did on set, three professionals. After 21 weeks they damn well better be terrific scenes. Everyone is going to hedge TG's long term prospects for awhile, but for the foreseeable future he's home and not going anywhere!
  18. I saw that on the IL and I just laughed. There was NOOOO way that was going to be LnL. No story for two years and just bang because it's some calendar 'anniversary'.... right... Those week themes were a little suspect after a few weeks anyway... bang... bang boom... bang boom bang... someone was having fun. There might be a whole lot of bangs and booms (Guza's favourite effect) but that isn't a theme. The 'bride' will either be Robin (isn't she getting 2 weddings?), Kate (she is due another), or this consistent MOC for Claudia. They are the only real options, and it would only be Claudia if another man was involved (which I know is rumoured to be Jason).
  19. I love it... "Luke and Laura stuff". That's all DC could muster. Lainey, everywhere the printed rags are now saying the second part of her 'short' return. She's gone - and is probably either filming her last week or just about to. You know it won't amount to much, just another nod to a certain fan base who thinks they are owed. It will be left ambiguous because they can't afford to turn off any more fans than they already have, but LuNacy is the story. You know it, I know it, JE/TG know it, everyone here knows it, and the LnL crowd knows it too if they really wanted to listen to reality. So, TQ tomorrow though, this is great! Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Monday, and I thought Tuesday was added into the mix. Wasn't that in one of the spoilers somewhere? Hooked, what's this bit about Edward not being helpful? Anything further on that one?
  20. Oh Lisa, those are so cute. You look like you had a great time. 21 weeks... 21 #(*@*&*&%&@**(#&@*(&# weeks... Now, would it have been better to have JE gone 21 weeks as well? Jury still out? (I've OD'd on turkey.... we named him Elmer.... he was delicious)
  21. Thank you Halee, I would never have seen that otherwise. Canada has it's own Food Network, but doesn't carry Chef Jeff. I didn't realize the premise that they were all ex-cons now catering. That is really interesting. I love the comment that in prisons if you turn away from soaps, they would have a riot. That's a well known prison norm, but it's so funny to hear it said outloud. And GTQ, I agree it was 'blink and you miss it', but it was so JE. She wasn't necessarily the vibrant one with all the snappy comments to the caterers, but in the end she's the only one actually with her arms around one of them and rubbing her shoulder. THAT is the JE I'm beginning to know.
  22. Oh..... this looks good. These are the top actors to watch this week - I bet all that R&R have give JE/TG the energy to be almost perfect. Can't wait until Wednesday to see it start to play out. Sorry I haven't been around this weekend very much, but I have been checking the spoilers and Hooked, you have outdone yourself again. Everything looks great and it's nice to see they originated with a trusted insider. I'm still convinced TG has already given his answer to TPTB (and he's staying), but we will have to see it play out. The kids are getting excited about Thanksgiving (don't know why, but I'm trying to remember it was my parent's favourite time of year and honour their memories). At least we won't eat until later today so I'm just getting the stuffing ready now, and not the whole bird. Pies are cooked (we've had 10 since the first ones I bought last week - turns out even the pickiest - Zion - loves pumpkin pie now). Trying to keep these last two for today has been a challenge. But at least we've finally outgrown our need to have turkey shaped cookies for dinner. Birthday greetings to all those I've missed. Is it just me, or are others amazed that we've almost half-way through October already?
  23. All of these make sense - and it answers how we get from the cantena to Luke in jail. All of the spoiler leading up to this week have been pretty consistent. I have no problem believing these, and they will have LuNacy as close as possible before ewcbo wakes up because they need to show why Luke will choose Tracy this time when all is equal and fair between TQ and ewcbo. The LnL crew will be left with a glimmer of hope, but ewcbo will tearfully wish him well as he rides off with Tracy, and she will go off to something open ended. We have had this level of detail with LuSam and Liason of late, so why not LuNacy?
  24. Wow... I check in this morning and there's nothing. I check in this evening and it's present time. Where they got the 'ex' business confuses me, but I love the art. And yeah... someone is conspicuous by her absence. So, next week looks a little like this, Monday - Thanksgiving Tuesday - Election Day Wednesday - Tracy looks for Luke Thursday - Tracy finds Luke Friday - Tracy and Luke are in jail together Then the following week, Monday - More LuNacy Tuesday - More LuNacy? Sounds good to me!
  25. I've been doing a Maximus-boycot, but it looks like I might have to see the tail end just in case they use the early days of the week for a LuNacy set-up. I have always been positive that the ewcbo was not returning to take Luke off into the sunset, but it's always nice to see a printed rag refer to her short stint. I'm sure it will be some crisis and closure of sorts for them, and we will probably get some incredible recommitment from Luke to Tracy. Think about it the last 2 November sweeps periods: 2006 we get ILY and "married to you without a dime"; 2007 we get "you are my life, Tracy" and so much more LuNacy goodness; 2008 we get ??? but I'm sure it will be worth every moment. The 20th sounds like fun. Tracy has always been able to get herself out of scrapes with money. Now it won't work and she's in Luke's world - I pray he has to rescue her for a change. AND that means they are still out of town by Monday, so that's at least 3 days without PC's population interfering. The other spoiler for the 16th also mentioned Tracy finally finds Luke - I'm almost positive they have to have her on at least one day before that to set the stage. So after our drought we might get 4-5 days of Tracy straight - and from the looks of the mediapics, Mute Tracy is the least of our concern (I'm sure she has plenty to say ).
