  1. Britney Spears and Nicki Minaj touring together? Yes, it's finally official

After Enrique Iglesias begged off becoming an homme fatale—and denying us the much-coveted “Hold It Against Me”/“Tonight” mash-up—Britney Spears was left without an opening act for her huge upcoming tour.

After a few weeks of speculation and a lot of false starts, Spears finally confirmed this morning that chart-topping rapper Nicki Minaj will indeed join her on the road for the Femme Fatale tour.

Tickets for the tour, which will also feature Nervo and Jessie and the Toy Boys, go on sale April 30, and the show itself kicks off June 16 at the Power Balance Pavilion in Sacramento.

“This is the Femme Fatale tour and I’m thrilled to have the hot Nicki Minaj join me and Jessie and the Toy Boys and Nervo will get everyone on the dance floor,” Spears said in a (not entirely grammatical) statement. “Can’t wait to take the Femme Fatales on the road.”

Signing Minaj is quite the coup for Britney, as Nicki already has a platinum album to her name (2010′s Pink Friday) and substantial onstage experience (she spent the better part of the last 18 months on various tours with the Young Money crew, lead by label boss and mentor Lil Wayne). Plus, she has a penchant for crazy wigs, wild fashion, and strange accents, which essentially makes her the nth-degree rapping version of Spears herself.

And now that we know the two ladies will be crossing the country together, it’s time to speculate what they’ll collaborate on. While their catalogs don’t gel particularly well, they do have a common ally in Black Eyed Peas producer will.i.am.

So we’re calling it right now: If there isn’t some sort of “Check It Out”/“Big Fat Bass” mash-up/tag-team/brouhaha at some point during the course of the Femme Fatale tour, consider us disappointed.

  2. LMAO at Jill saying she's changed all the while calling Alex a bitch and trashing Ramona behind her back to her little friends at the end. She's so phony.

What's with the "Being at a wedding with people who are so ABOVE her?" or something along those lines. WHAT. A. COW.

That being said, I can't hate Jill.

And I prefer the oldAlex. The new one is fake and her attitude towards Jill isn't justified, IMO. Yes, Jill talked smack about her, but NO MORE than Ramona ever did.

    Kelly: ^_^

  3. Report: The Real Housewives of DC Officially Over, No Second Season

Days after Andy Cohen revealed there was a bit of a standstill between the Real Housewives of DC and Bravo over the return of Michaele Salahi, a new report now states the show is officially dunzo!

RadarOnline is reporting that Bravo has decided to can the DC Housewives for good. The reported reason? The show just didn’t perform well enough for the network.

“The show just didn’t do well and it wasn’t worth airing another season,” a source close to the situation told Radar. “The DC housewives were meant to be starting shooting their second season now and they haven’t heard a peep from Bravo.”

“No one from the cast has been contacted yet and told that the show is cancelled,” dishes the source.

The source adds that the ratings disaster of the Real Housewives of Miami and the so-so ratings for the DC Housewives is now forcing Bravo to reconsider its housewives strategy. “After DC failed in the ratings and Miami just bombed, they realized they can’t just start a show anywhere and it will succeed,” the source said. “Bravo used to think it was about the brand and they could switch the housewives at any point but now they have realized it is about the women involved and that has changed their perspective.”

The source adds that Bravo has “realized a lot with the failure of DC and Miami, and they’re going to concentrate on the successful shows they have and not expand any further.” The source reveals when it comes to the DC franchise, “We’re just hoping that people forget it ever happened.” Ouch.

The report yesterday stated that DC housewives Mary Schmidt Amons, Cat Ommaney, Lynda Erkiletian, and Stacie Turner had banded together and threatened to walk if Bravo allowed the Salahis to return. And quite frankly, the DC Housewives are no Real Housewives of New Jersey, which seems to be doing just fine and dandy following the exit of Danielle Staub.

This news doesn’t come as a surprise because when you take away the Salahis, the Real Housewives of DC equals the Real Housewives of Miami, except probably worse. While the DC Housewives minus the Salahis might have been successful in the earlier days of Bravo Housewives (think season 1 & 2 of the OC Housewives), the ante has however been upped in recent years thanks to the antics of some of the other franchises, aka table flipping and limo fights. The DC ladies might however want to take this news as a compliment as it means they are simply too boring classy for the successful Bravo franchise.

By the way, the Real Housewives of DC had higher ratings than the Miami Housewives. And this news brings us to an interesting question

    :angry::(

  4. I don't think Peggy's addition is necessary. The role of rich stay at home mom, has already been filled by Alexis.

I wish we'd get an older lady that has a REAL, ball busting job, to even out against Vicki, who always feels the need to criticize the other ladies for their non-jobs.

  5. Just watched the premiere for OC.

While it's my favorite, these bitches look broke compared to the extreme wealth of Beverly Hills. A LOT of the luster from their fabulous and wealthy (using the term loosely here) is gone.

The season looks EXPLOSIVE, especially with Vicki's divorce and Tamra vs Jeana (which, should be noted, Tamra is NOT the one pushing her. She tweeted about it and in the preview the clothing is not the same).

Why does Gretchen have/need an assistant? She can barely feed herself, let alone hire help! Aside from Slade, that is. Her bag line looks like it came from K-Mart (ridiculously overpriced at $250 a pop).

Even though she's a bitter ho, I love Vicki. It's the drive and the presence. Donn.

Anyone know how it's faring in the ratings?

  6. So what is this fight Tamra and Gretchen had? Who was right? And the one between Vicki and Tamra – did Tamra really show Vicki the door?

Tamra and Gretchen's feud started since Gretchen joined in S4. IMO, a lot of it came from Tamra being jealous of Gretchen, who was younger and seemed to take over the Hottest, Youngest Housewife title Tamra so loved.

Accusations flew of Gretchen being a gold-digger, a paid caretaker for Jeff (Gretchen's fianceé, who died in 2008).

At the reunion for S4, Tamra revealed that Gretchen's ex-boyfriend had called her and told her Gretchen was still seeing him while Jeff was still alive, etc.

Gretchen denied it, Tamra swore up and down it was true.

S5 was a continuation of S4, in that regard, but a lot more passive aggressive.

  7. Ugh, that sucks about RHONYC being postponed. They're easily my favorite cast, though my fave housewife, Bethenny, won't be on anymore. Having not seen season 3 at all, I was looking forward to the marathon of repeats the day of the premiere. It SUCKS that CW only showed S1 & S2 and Bravo never repeats it at all. Hopefully, I'll get to see it soon.

Have you looked for S3 online?

  8. These NYC housewives just don't want to give it up, so it could be the same old, same old.

I could easily do without LuAnn & Alex.

I felt S3 ended perfectly, and everyone had some sort of happy conclusion. I thought some would leave and new blood would be added.

Re: DC, with another franchise airing, the network has to drop at least one of the shows, and it'l sadly be DC. UNLESS Miami bombs, and then, chances for DC might look up.

  9. UM - HOLD THE PHONE!!!

I thought something was fishy this morning when I saw that Bravo isn't airing NYC Season 2 next Tuesday anymore. They are pushing back Season 4 to later this spring, and instead, are premiering The Real Housewives of Miami on Feb. 22!!!

    http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/2011/02/03/bravo-says-bienvenido-with-series-premiere-of-%e2%80%9cthe-real-housewives-of-miami%e2%80%9d-on-feb-22/81434

I don't know if I'm pissed or not. I've been wondering when they would premiere Miami, since surely 3 seasons at once would be overkill, and we already knew OC and NYC were playing through the spring. But I was so looking forward to seeing the NYC girls! NYC is popular, so I'm wondering why they are getting the boot/push?

Has Bravo shot themselves in the foot by going promo-overload for NYC, only now to drop it altogether? They haven't been showing promos for Miami at all.

    Thoughts?

I wasn't interested in a single thing from the preview. I'll wait for the entire season to air and marathon it.

IMO, the older HW seems to be going for a Vicki angle.

The show did seem to be on the backburner for a while. It was shot sometime in 2009, IIRC. I wish DC would've been brought back instead. :(

  10. Which Housewives do you think should be retired?

    For me,

NYC: LuAnn, looking back, she's never had a particular storyline and she doesn't drive or move things forward. She's always there with a bitchy comment, and the Countess schtick got old in S2.

Kelly, bitch I don't have the patience to deal with your whacked out ways.

Alex: She came off well in S3, but she's not really interesting.

ATL: Shereé: I love her to pieces, but her story this season has been all over the place. It's fake and we know it. She was much better when Lisa was around to keep the catty competition going.

    Cynthia: Zzzzzzzzzzz.

    DC: Michaele:

OC: Lynne: She's too spacy, wacky and absent-minded. Her cuffs are the tackiest thing I've ever seen and ridiculously overpriced.

NJ: I'd only keep Theresa. Too much Manzo domination. Bring in new girls with no family ties.
