I mentioned before that I was going for a revival script of Guiding Light, and I have to ask from a fan perspective, would anyone hate the idea of Michelle Bauer’s paternity being called into question, since Fletcher Reade was supposed to have had a vasectomy. But as we all know, he later had Meg, so that vasectomy is suspect.

I understand that no one could ever replace Bernau, but Ron Raines is somewhat of a different beast. Still great (to me) though. He spent his entire TV run in one role, that was impossible to do justice correctly.

I'd agree, but this is also after Dinah and Vanessa finally bond I think. So she'd be like "wait I'm not equipped for this" and turtle up. I don't think she really flexed her mom muscles until Bill and Peter.

I've been specifically looking for the episodes for Ross and Van together, because they essentially both raise Dinah at that period and the recaps around her typically avoid the Dorie years, the carnies, or Alan-Michael and Cam. I'm really just trying to trace a throughline between Paige, Wendy, and Gina. The last two are "easy," but it just messes with my timeline when Dinah thinks Alan-Michael would kill Ross. Then again, that Alan-Michael slept with his own stepdaughter, so...

So Pam didn't create her? I thought she had the whole of 87-88. I'll look around, thanks for the point in the right direction.

I may have mentioned that I’m a little new to Springfield, and so far I have a deep love for the show because of such a well kept narrative with a few continuity snarls (really, Ed was out there with Alan and the Carruthers girl?), I guess I’m just asking the OGs about stuff I can’t learn from SoapCentral Who’s Who, (RIP), classicGL on YouTube (also RIP), and Spauldingfield. It’s a lofty goal, but I’d love to write a continuation with all the spawn of the original characters after September 2009. I know there was a Mindy official Twitter thread at one point, but in an age where we can do what we want irrespective of budget mostly, I’d love to give it a stab.

I’m nostalgic to say that Two Todds on OLTL was a masterpiece for me, if only because that was the first time I got to watch Roger Howarth as he created new Todd stuff.

I’m pretty new to all the lore, I’ve been watching a lot of classicGL and Spauldingfield stuff on YouTube. There’s no one around here that can fill me in on 1952-1979 right? I’d love to know what happened when Bill Bauer came back and why he faded off canvas until that weird ass Eli Sims story.
