  1. I am starting to have some sympathy for her, what with the Newman's seeing her and Cane using the AI that Victor was already using against Cane and Jabot as being beyond the pale and unforgiveable. And Summer quickly forgave Victor for having Jack replaced by his double on his honeymoon with Phyillis, but she can't even talk to her mother now? Though it's not so much that Phyllis is looking good now as the others are looking worse.
  2. Is Chris Mckenna really a "friend of Frank's" because he was on OLTL for a few years more than 30 years ago? Or is there another connection between them? As for Hearst, I'd love to see more of him, but he lives on the other side of the country, and has a job in real estate there, so I tend to think him disapearing has as much to do with his schedule as it does with the show.
  3. Funny, on other boards a lot of people are thinking this story shoiws that Brennan is sticking around for the long haul, and that he will redeem himself with Carly. There are claims elsewhere that Vaughn is gone for good, and even rumours that Joss is on her way out. People are pointing out that Joss doesn't really get mentioned in the 2026 preview, besides how Carly is angry with Brennan about recruiting her. You always have to be a bit cautious about rumors in regards to behind the scenes stuff. For a while it "was known" that Reese Witherspoon never returned as Rachel's sister on Friends because she and Jennifer Aniston absolutely hated each other and refused to work together. Then they ended up working on a new show with each other. But MB and SB, while seeming to be generally well-liked by castmates, do seem very prepared and happy to throw their weight around. And now Marco seems to have been completely ruined so as to retroactively justify Sonny and Jason kidnapping him.
  4. I think he said in a recent interview that he wouldn't retire until he is at least 65...
  5. Well, I'm pretty sure British soap Emmerdale has had core characters working at a vet clinic for some time, so I guess it's not impossible to use it to build good stories. Though Emmerdale being a more rural show might help in that regard. That said, I guess the most likely traumatic event for the Scorpio family is more likely to be Robert's passing or a big reveal about Nathan than Emma being injured or something happening to Robin and/or Patrick.
  6. Emma saying she wanted to be a vet really stood out to me. It makes sense for her character, but it would also seem to be pretty isolating for her on the canvas. In the meantime, the show is hinting at her playing an important role in the Anna kidnapping story, with her instigating questions about Anna possibly being in trouble, and being specifically mentioned by “Faison” in his conversation with Anna. And spoilers confirm that she will be involved trying to rescue her grandmother along with Mac and Felicia, but that the family will suffer a traumatic event. So I find myself asking, what traumatic event might lead Emma to turn away from being vet towards something that would keep her more integrated on the canvas, and I came up with two options. First would be her suffering some serious injury that makes it impossible for her to be a vet, like with BLQ and her singing career. As for the other option, Emma’s life could certainly be shifted if something tragic happened to her parents. And with KMC not acting anymore and JT locke in on Y&R… well, who knows what the show might be willing to do with them?
  7. RE - Alexis It seems a bit strange that she is so affected by helping Willow get away with attempted murder after she covered up Kristina's crimes, including holding Ric captive in her basement, and lying to Molly about everything, and pretty much shrugged it off. About today's episode The ep was basically about Drew getting taken to the hospital, Michael fighting with Chase and then confiding in Jason, and Portia having a hearing with Tracy and Laura.
  8. Maybe the devastating news is that Drew didn't die?
  9. I think OLTL also had Max get plastic surgery when he was recast, then the original actor came back with no explanation. I guess if fans can accept characters suddenly changing appearances with recasts, it's not that big a leap to shrug off actors returning after chracters supposedly had plastic surgery.
  10. Are we sure that RH is avaiable to film right now? I think he lives in New Jersey, and even has anpther job in real estate?
  11. There was a problem with the heating in the building.
  12. I like Emma and Gio, but the idea of Joss/Emma together is certainly interesting, especially if Robin were to return to the canvas. I kind of thought Emma was at least suspicious that Joss was WSB after Vaughn outed himself, and she thought Joss might have slipped her the info about Dalton's second lab, so I'm kind of surprised she went to Brennan for help. You'd think Anna would have told Emma to stay away from him. Is Vaughn even still on the show? Will Kristina's actions ever be exposed? Will Willow's gaslighting of Sasha ever come out? Man, this show is frustrating.
  13. I think the reveal of the "real" Roman could also be in the running for point of no return. I mean, how could anyone have mistaken DH's John for being WN's Roman? It threw any and all logic out the window. Going back to the best/worst article, their comments about how Sophia's baby being revealed as Aaron's the way it was making absolutely no sense are spot on. I know fans suspected from the moment the pregnancy was revealed that Aaron could be the father, but it really seems like it was a last minute pull from you-know-where for the writers. My feeling has always been that the show was prepared to move on from Tate/Holly, but then the decision was made to actually double down on making them the next big supercouple, and Doug and Sophia got thrown under the bus to make it happen. I don't see much chemistry there, and it's particularly irksome that an asian character who I think the show was trying to build into something was abruptly tossed to the wolves, especially since her story continues to make no sense at all. Everyone was feeling sorry for her, so why has she been faking being comatose? And why reveal herself to Rachel, who immediately mentioned her to Tate and Brady?
  14. So Chase is appalled at the suggestion he would tamper with evidence to help Willow, but sees nothing wrong with refusing to admit to her breaking a court order?
  15. I noticed the Mac/Emma interaction the other day mentioned some things that have apparently been happening offscreen. For one, it was clearly not the first time the two of them had talked about Anna’s abrupt departure, and been concerned about her. Which also made me remember there was a daily spoiler some time back (before Anna was abducted) that said Emma would be worrying about Anna, but it evidently got cut. Emma also talked about how close she was with Maxie, and kept wanting to call her. Not only have we not seen much of Emma missing Macie, other than the day Maxie collapsed, we never really saw them being close beforehand. They had a couple of interactions shortly after Emma came to PC, one where I think Maxie presented herself as someone Emma could talk to about things she didn’t feel she could tell Anna, and the other when Anna pushed the idea of Emma interning at Deception. But neither of those ever led to anything, and I don’t recall any other interactions. It also seems like we could have seen Mac and Felicia worrying that trying to be there for Mavie might be preventing them from really being there for her kids, and Mac said that the kids talk to Emma, but we have never seen that. On another note, it would be nice if Emma/Mac/Felicia/someone would find out that Willow was the one stalking Sasha and Daisy. It’s looking like Sasha might not be returning to confront Willow about this (though who knows with these writers), so it would be nice to see someone close to Sasha learn about this and hold it against Willow. Maybe this will happen around the time Molly finds out about how her entire family is lying to her. But I guess to have any of these scenes, they would have to cut some of the many, many scenes of… Drew being an ass Willow being a self-absorbed twit Sonny and Jason being the world’s most self-righteous criminals Nina protecting her daughter no matter who else she needs to hurt Carly plotting against Jack for bringing her daughter into a government agency Curtis and Portia having the same conversations with each other and others Kristina and Alexis ignoring the fact that she is a danger to the people around her
  16. At OLTL I think priest Joey (Brian Michael Hall?) didn't last long. Many people never accepted Tim Gibbs as Kevin. A lot of people refuse to accept the current Ridge and Taylor on B&B, as well as IR as Thorne. Danica stewart had the misfortune of being an unaccepted recast on two different shows.
  17. I was pleased to see Gio and Emma decide to go against Sonny's advice and admit the full truth to Dante and Lulu, but what are the odds they actually follow through with it?
  18. What has been more facepalm worthy this week? 1. Rocco dining with his "other family." 2. Alexis and Ava patting each other on the back about being good mothers. 3. Jason being outraged about Brennan putting someone he loves in danger. Because that's his and Sonny's job, I guess. Maybe if he saw parallel's between Brennan/Joss and him and Sonny it could work, but that will never happen.
  19. Daytime TV Actors Will Give You Chills in Their Scary Movies: Pictures Here is a list of some examples Notable ones include Maurice Bernard as a priest in Nightmare Cinema, Tracy Bregman as a mean girl in Happy Birthday to Me, Marcy Walker trying to kill Genie Francis in Terror in the Shadows, Anne Heche and Julianne Moore in the Psycho remake, Melody Thomas Scott in Hitchcock movie Marnie, and Anna Lee in What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?
  20. And yet, after the Gio reveal, Dante apologized for holding a grudge against Sonny after that.
  21. I agree. I don't think it was at Steve's urging or that he even wanted it. So many different things can be blamed. Frons's directives, JFP hating veterans, Guza wanting the show to be the Sopranos AND both Steve and Mo loving being bada** mobsters. There was a point during the Monavie era that I thought a lot went to Steve's head and he had way too much pull. He seems mellowed and more open now to play more nuance. Yeah, I'm not trying to say SB should be blamed for everything, but I can't help but feel like he did play some part in the mob taking over the show, and the Quartermaines being wasted and shoved to the side. Anyway, today when Michael kind of brushed off Jason rejecting the Q's as being so long ago, I was like "Ok, but you both still happily associate with the guy who killed Monica's son, and choose not to use the Quartermaine name, that's not ancient history." The really should have had one of Lucas/Anna/Dante say "OMG, Nathan?" at the end of the show.
  22. I think Jason apologized at AJ's grave. But he's never had any problem with Sonny killing AJ. I'm kind of afraid Michael is going to convince Jason that he absolutely did the right thing keeping him from the Quartermaines. The Tracy/Jason scenes were great, but they gave me kind of a weird feeling. I think Burton really pushed for Jason to remain alienated from the Q's, which played a significant part in the family being pushed to the side. It seems odd to see him now being front and centre in honoring the family.
  23. Was Victor intended to stick around long-term? I always thought him dying after the medical procedure was stopped was the plan all along.
  24. Tina Sloan joined the show as Lilian first, with original Beth Judi Evans Luciano.
  25. In general, any scene where a character talks about something they want to keep secret while keeping their back to a spot where someone could walk up and overhear them. Moving too specific examples ATWT - Hal learns that James Stenbeck is hiding out in some abandoned building, and heads down there with some of his cops to arrest him, sirens blaring. We then see James and his son David calmly noting the approaching sirens and deciding not to wait for the cops to arrive. And when the cops show up and find them gone, Hal is completely befuddled by how James could have pulled this off. Apparantly it never occurs to him that James could hear the sirens and realize he might not want to hang around. GL - Bradley Cole returns as Jeffrey (I think that was the name), and people are shocked by his resemblance to Richard. He comments to Edmund, "I get it, except for the beard, I look just like your brother." Then when he accepts a job to stay in town, he says, "I guess I'll shave my beard, maybe then people will stop thinking I'm this Richard guy." Because getting rid of the one thing that differentiates you from a guy will really help people distinguish you from him. AMC - Ryan and Ethan break into Zach's office, and stumble upon evidence that leads to them eventually realizing he caused the blackout. How? Because Zach had apparantly bought a day planner that he left completely blank, except for doodling a lightning bolt on the one day where he did something he wanted to keep secret. And he then held onto the planner for no logical reason, though at least he kept it taped under his desk. Zach sees that Ryan and Ethan broke in on a security camera, and decides maybe he should get rid of that incriminating day planner. Honestly, Ryan's entire return to the show falls into this category. Having Ryan bump into Alexander Cambias and be gifted the keys to the Cambias empire was ridiculous, and the way they had him arrogantly lord this over everyone in Pine Valley made him very unlikeable. And then, even though the fans who were happy to see Ryan come back were very much Ryan/Kendall fans, they had him fooling around with Greenlee, even after Greenlee almost got Kendall convicted of murder.
