  1. I second this! (But I'm fine that there are others who don't agree.😄)
  2. There was mention of Matt Clark's "death" at some point in Sharon's and Nick's conversation shortly after Sharon saw Clark. I don't happen to have the exact time it came up, but I can look for it later today... OK, I just looked at the November 3rd episode, and actually when Sharon runs into Clark, she says, "...How can it be?...This is impossible. Matt, you're dead." The time interval is 2:47 to 3:02. I didn't rewatch any more of the episode, so I can't say whether Sharon and Nick talked about Clark being dead. But my point is actually that the writers had someone mention the Matt Clark death. That said, Paul, I do agree with everything else you said--the writers are very much mishandling Matt, or Mitch, or Todd, or whoever he is.

  4. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  5. Those are awfully big "ifs." [Changes in font size mine.]
  6. Naomi wasn't the only one with pregnancy test results. A few minutes before Naomi's "reveal," Haley had a negative test. It made me almost feel like Haley tests herself every day. Although I liked the juxtaposition of Naomi's test "right after" Haley's, I hope Haley doesn't take any more tests for a while--those tests almost make me feel like I'm watching B&B. I think it's time for Haley and Bill to split for a while.
  7. Yes, I saw that part of Naomi's and Jacob's conversation, too. Naomi also said that, with "everything" that had been going on recently, she may well have messed up with her birth control pills. So barring something contrary coming to light, it seems that they agreed not to have kids and the newly revealed pregnancy was accidental.
  8. Soapsuds, thanks for letting us know. 😀
  9. Paul, you're very welcome. 😊
  10. Jane, thanks so much--I'm so glad that post gave you a laugh! And I totally agree with your observation of its plausibility. I almost feel like the Y&R writers sent me a formal invitation to write my post. 😀
  11. In Friday's episode, Cane was had summoned Amanda, Phyllis, and Michael to his train and was discussing his "plan" with them. Phyllis and Michael had wanted more details, but Cane was offering only general "clues": He said the next phase will require "all hands on deck" and they'd need to be a "well-oiled machine." He also said that it would not be easy, but the "payoff would be massive." Well, isn't his plan obvious? He's going to convert one of his train cars to a diner. (For those who might not know, it's been done before--eg, the Clinton Station Diner in Clinton, New Jersey,) And since he doesn't use his Antarctica train very much, that will be the chosen continent to start this exciting endeavor. But how exactly will he do this? His trains are all working trains, so each is already a "well-oiled machine." As for "all hands on deck," he thinks it will be a innovative concept if his first "diner car" is on his Antarctica train, with the primary staff there being Amanda, Phyllis, and Michael, who will take turns being the hostess/host, head of the wait staff, and executive chef. (Well, these are tough jobs, which explains why Cane dumped Billy. And BTW, all other staff duties there will be handled by Cane's touted AI.) As Cane said, none of this will be easy, but the prices will be astronomical to bring in the "massive" payoff. Of course, customers should happily fork over this money, or if for some reason that doesn't happen, these diners can be an additional place for the "movers and shakers" of Genoa City to conduct business (and since Antarctica isn't an urban hotspot, that particular location won't need many extras). 😉
  12. Maxim, I absolutely agree with everything you said in the above paragraph. I've stayed with every other soap I've watched until it was canceled, or in the case of the other four soaps currently on CBS, ABC, or Peacock, I'm still watching. With B&B, I feel like each time the writers come up with a bad plotline, they try to outdo themselves by coming up with a worse one. Well, they've outdone themselves out of my viewership. 😒
  13. It really makes me laugh when Lily says that Cane is "not the same man" (which she's said at least three times).
  14. OK, so Cane invites Chance to protect him at his "gathering" because Cane feels like he has a target on his back. If Cane thinks he's a target and Genoa City's Chance is the "best in the world" to guard him, I'll give Cane that. But why didn't he cancel the "gathering." That he went ahead with it, didn't he consider that one or more of the guests could be caught in the crossfire? He should have seen that from a mile away. That he seems to have ignored that possibility, I consider that negligence. (Also, that "all-knowing" Victor Newman accepted the invitation without bringing along a security detail is pretty baffling, too.) I can't imagine any resolution to this storyline that could save it, even a little bit. At this point, I think the best they can do is wind it up during the first half of next week and never mention it again. I'll follow that advice as well, as I've already given this way more time than it deserves.
  15. Well, to be fair, Macdonald Carey/Tom wouldn't have sounded that way when Hope was a little girl,... That's voice and gravitas of an old man Edited yesterday at 04:30 PM by j swift So I looked for some older work of Macdonald Carey to find out what he sounded like as a "young man." I found "Where You Loved Me" from 1955, when he was in his early 40s (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iJz5cT6VgQ). When I quickly looked for Carey speaking, I found him (and this other guy, talking to each other) starting around 3:40. To me, Carey's 1955 voice sounds similar to his DOOL intro voice. Therefore, I think it would have been appropriate and doable to find a guy with a deeper voice to play Young Tom than the guy who actually did. Maybe I'm in the minority, but that's what I think.😀
  16. Idk. His voice sounds pretty difficult to imitate 😂😂😂 I can't disagree that Carey's voice would be difficult to imitate. But I guess we'll never really know whether the Young Tom voice we got could have been improved upon.🤔
  17. It was mostly a treat for me, too, but there's one thing that bothers me: Macdonald Carey had a distinctive voice, and we still hear it on the Days introduction. Young Tom's voice doesn't sound anything like Carey's voice to me. I find it difficult to believe they couldn't find anyone who naturally sounds reminiscent of Carey or can make himself sound somewhat like him.
  18. The only thing is that the Victoria/Ashland wedding of a few summers back felt like months, to me at least. So this summer it's the Dumas fête. I noticed that one of us, ranger1rg, has predicted the following... It could go like that. But it also could be more like a repeat of Victoria/Ashland, only this time, I could see it feeling like the better part a year. (For example, we'll see all of them unpacking their suitcases and choosing several ensembles to wear for several evenings of the party. Then each Y&R regular attending the party gets introduced, plus a few new people, but not Dumas, of course. Then various invitees make speeches to compliment other invitees. Blah, blah, blah... And ultimately, we may or may not see Dumas on camera at some point.) The only prediction I feel really comfortable making is that the length of the party will NOT be a "happy medium." 😒
  19. Thank you, Aragorn, since I'd been wondering whether Lindstrom's role on BTG meant no more GH or, as you indicated, he'll be doing both.
  20. You have to admit that dying is a tough penalty for failing a test!!! And Brennan was gobsmacked that Joss brought a gun to her test! I've been watching GH for over 10 years (as it happened, I didn't get into this show until the other ABC soaps were cancelled), and this "test" is the dumbest thing I've ever seen on GH. By far.
  21. Also starring Josh Kelly and Patrick Gibbons And Gina Tognoni in the occasional female roles. And we'd call this this particular group the "dream team!"

  23. The possibilities are endless... --Daphne tries a new whole body deodorant the next time she goes to Forrester and it clashes with her perfume. --Daphne, Carter, and Hope order in beans and franks for lunch. When all three fart at the same time, it doesn't go too well with Daphne's perfume. --Daphne goes back to old-school underarm deodorant. But one day, she runs out of it. She figures her perfume will mask any underarm odor. Boy, is she proven wrong--not only do Carter and Hope pass out, but the stench even stops that weird music that usually accompanies her perfume wearing.😬 OK, if you're still reading this, you've suffered enough and I'll stop.
