Spoiler for week of September 5: Sparks fly for Joss and Dex.
Paraphrased summary from twitter: They don't kiss but they do get up close and personal when they dumpster-dive for Ava's bracelet.  She is attracted to him but tries to deny it to herself.

Spoiler for week of September 5: Spencer and Trina:
Paraphrasing what N.Chavez says in the write-up: What Spencer is thinking: Spencer had stepped back so that Trina could choose Rory if she wanted to. He wanted her to be happy.  He has come to realize that he has been removing her agency – that, in effect, he had been making the decision for her, by not telling her how he feels.  He comes to see that if he gives her the truth, then she has all the information and she can freely decide who she wants to be with.
What happens: Spencer pours his heart out to Trina in a letter and later shows up at her party. He's forced to pivot when Trina hits him with some truths. She tells him she doesn't even want to be friends with him. He drops the letter as he is trying to slink away -- and Trina finds it.

When you look at how expensive some of these streaming shows are, I wouldn't be surprised if Days is viable for them. By being an ongoing thing, even if they take a summer break, that's 9-10 months of ongoing content which would keep people subscribed. They're spending tons of money on these big budget scripted shows that have like 8 episodes and only drive subscription for a short period of time. If they can make the budget work, the idea of a soap on their platform could be smart long term planning.

@ErrolDo we even have a rough estimate on what the yearly budget of Days is? Knowing that, we can compare it to some of the other scripted shows and see just how viable it would be.

In 2010 it was 150k an episode. I imagine it only got lower in 10+ years.

  3. Erika Slezak (Viki Lord on OLTL) Shares Her Thoughts On: DAYS Move to Peacock 🦚

Erika expressed: "I think that's fantastic! I emailed Ron (Carlivati, head writer) when I heard it because he was our head writer. I was delighted for him, and I asked him if he was staying? He said, 'Yes, as far as I know I'm staying!' I think it's wonderful. The whole point of us going online was such a good idea. Unfortunately, it was so mishandled by the producers at Prospect Park. They knew nothing about what our audience was looking for, what THEY wanted. It was about stories and relationships and a lot of our audience was extremely offended by some of the things they were doing. We went through four head writers in three months because they kept saying, We can't write this stuff, or we don't want to write this stuff. The idea behind it, Rich Frank and Jeff Kwatinetz who put it together, was a wonderful idea and we would have been the first to go online (Hulu). It was just five minutes ahead of its time and it was run by
people that didn't know what they were doing. They didn't know how to produce a daytime drama and
they pushed the envelope too far, too quickly, and then they spent too much money and then they ran
    out of money."

  4. “With NBC Universal’s recent decision to move Days of our Lives from NBC to Peacock in the U.S., we had to re-evaluate where the series aired on our networks and felt W Network, as the destination that embraces unique, exceptional and meaningful storytelling, was the right home for this beloved series,” said Daniel Eves, Senior President of Broadcast Networks at Corus Entertainment. “This move presents us with a unique opportunity to deliver the series to a new audience as we head into a new season full of shocking twists, romantic relationships, and endless drama.”

W Network has been the Canadian home of Days of our Lives’ recent spin-off series Beyond Salem and A Very Salem Christmas. The second season of Beyond Salem is slated to premiere as a marathon this Sunday, September 4 at 8 p.m. ET/PT. W Network is also the Canadian home to a selection of other Peacock exclusives, including Vampire Academy and Pitch Perfect: Bumper in Berlin, as well as dramas The Good Fight and Outlander, and Hallmark movies.

W Network can also be streamed via STACKTV and is available on Amazon Prime Video Channels, FuboTV, Rogers Ignite, and Ignite SmartStream.

There was Indigo, Gloworm and the Underground that all fulfilled that brief and were dropped.

Of course the club will be a success, probably A list celebs will fly in just to attend.

Josh loves to have everybody fabulously successful for some reason.

Wasn't Noah fabulously successful as a photographer?

The show could retitled The Young and the Restless in their careers.

I do like we're getting a new set atleast.

  6. Sonny/Nina " Sonny has his hand full with taking Dex under his wing. At the same time ,Nina will become suspicious about somebody very close to Sonny, which will put her faith in the uncomfortable position of keeping it to herself or sharing it with the man she loves".

Carly/Drew " Carly plans to recharge her career by going on a corporate retreat. When the plane makes an emergency landing, she will be forced to confront her past and examine her future. Drew may prove to be useful ally in Carly's latest adventure and may just become more than that as a result ".

Sam/Dante " Sam and Dante are looking forward to the future but they're dogged by the past, specifically by Dante's recently resumed friendship with his old buddy, Cody".

Spencer/Trina/Rory " Trina has deep feelings for Spencer, but she knows how much pain he inadvertently caused her over the last year and right now, Spencer is gone [to Pentonville]. She is happy with Rory. But how long can she keep these conflict emotions bottled up.

Valentin/Anna " Right now, Anna and Valentin are on the same page and are united front, not just in their relationship, but in their determination to save Charlotte and take down Victor once and for all. They are not above using any and all means at their disposal to deal with the threat that Victor embodies". Lucy will continue to play a role in their scheme. "As longtime fans know, this is not the first Victor whose fondness for Lucy she has used against them (Involving Lucy)  is a fine line to walk and it may backfire on them".

Alexis/Gregory: “Alexis and Gregory’s professional relationship will continue to evolve, especially as a series of shocking crimes begin to occur in Port Charles.”

Liz's Past: "Finn wants to be a supportive partner, but at the same time, he sees Liz making decisions that, from his point of view, seem self-destructive. And what do you do when you come to that conclusion?" Liz has rightfully been advocating for her agency and independence when it comes to her troubling past memories. Once it's clear that her missing time is posing a danger to her friends, it is Liz and Liz alone who will make the decision to get answers.

Terry/Yuri: “Terry and Yuri’s relationship will continue to blossom.”

Selina: “She continues to establish her presence in Port Charles — and the greater her presence, the more potential for conflict with elements on both sides of the law.”

Kristina: “Alexis has some strong opinions about Kristina’s future, which will put mother and daughter in conflict.”

Brando/Sasha: “Sasha is faced with a very difficult decision. Does she risk prison time, or does she agree to have Brando as her guardian? However, a twist of fate may make her decision even more complicated.”

Curtis/Jordan/Portia: “Jordan’s suspicions about Trina’s heritage lead to a heated confrontation with a Portia and a warning of a reckoning to come. Curtis wonders if he made the right decision to not get genetic counseling regarding Marshall’s medical history.”

Austin/Maxie: “Austin continues to have tensions with Maxie’s children. Georgie doesn’t seem to like Austin. Maxie’s trying to show Georgie how wrong she is about Austin, but as the mystery between Austin and Mason deepens, maybe Georgie’s more insightful than she knows.”

Ava/Nikolas: Esme's disappearance continues to have grave consequences for the people of PC, not the least of which include Ava and Nik, who are bound by their deadly secret. Police work to uncover the motives behind Ava's attack, and whether her attacker will strike again.

Cam/Joss/Dex: "There has been a growing distance between Joss and Cam. They are both committed to making this relationship work, but Esme's actions may have made the relationship vulnerable enough for the new guy in town to shake things up."

Britt/Cody/Mac/Felicia: Cody's going to be pulled in two directions. One is his developing attraction to Britt and the other by the possibility that he may be connected to the Scorpio family.. And it may be that Cody can't have both. Felicia is encouraging Mac to learn the truth but Mac is afraid of getting the answer lest his heart be broken."
  7. Brad says to look out for several surprise characters to return and a new character to appear.

    Sinn
Reunited and in love, this young couple has it all. But sheila, who is getting bolder by the mment has plans of her own, having already crossed a line no one thought she would. Sheila has nothing left to lose and everything to gain, leaving Steffy and Finn in danger.

    Brooke/Ridge/Taylor
Taylor taks Finn and Steffys miracle as a sign that anything is possible. Brookem of course remains insistant that she and Ridge are each others destiny and that Taylor is trying to destroy her family. Ridge has complex feelngs for the two and doesnt want to hurt either. This fall the unexpected happens which leads our trio to another remote location where circumstance causes Ridge to make a choce. The fallout will change the dynamics of the families forever.

    L'iam/Hope/Thomas/Dougas
Brooke accuses Taylor of masterminding a plot to take Ridge and Douglas from the logas. But, Taylor holds her ground isistaing that both are better off with the forrester family. Liam has strong feeling about the matter, especially where Hope and Thomas's obsession with her is concerned. The fight for what's best for Douglas commences this fall.

    Deacon
This fall, things get serious and comedic at the same time as a seris of events take place that Deacon must scramble to manage. Deacons stress level goes from mild to off when Sheila, thinking her disguise is all she needs ventures out into public and goes over to Steffy and Finns beach house. You don't want to miss how this story unfolds.

    Bill
This fall, we'll see more of Billy spencer as he takes Liams side in the situation with Douglas and navigates his own romantic relationships.

    Donna/Eric
Donna and Eric settle into couples life and get involved with their family's drama.

    Zende/Paris/Carter
Zende designs for Forrester and Hope for the future with Paris has his muse, and carters life turns upside down for a minute.

  8. Abigail's murder
As Leo finds himself in the hotseat, We are ramping up to the reveal of the real killer and the audence will get the full story of what happened.

    John/Marlena/Kayla/Steve/Roman/Kate
We know Orpheus loves to play minds games so he in his triwsted way blames roman etc for his wifes death and wants to make them all suffer the way he's. So, that's a little clue of what he does. Our faves are in jeopardy so these couples will band together and fight a common enemy. It's a good story that really ramps up in the fall.

    LI/Gabi/Stefan
Li's motivation fin bringing back stefan was, "Stefanos son, This gives me full power at Dimera." But, I don't think he counted on falling in love with Gabi along the way. So, Li under pressure proposes to Gabi so they can get married and he can control the situation and keep Stabi apart. Of course, we are not going to wait that long to get stefan and gabi face to face but the reunion will not go as planned,

    Abe/Paulina
We pulled a little bait and switch here with Paulina persuading Abe to run for Governer, and the twist is: What if Paulina runs instead?" It turns out Paulina has more secrets than we know about amd so another secret from her past threatens her candidcy and it pulls her family into this mess.

    Nancy/Clude
Nancy feels like she's Gotten a second chance after her divorce from Craig. From minute one with Clyde we played that there was no agenda. He's not after her money, he's not using her in anyway. We like the idea that he was genuinly smitten with Nancy, So understandably, Chloe has her concerns. Clyde and nancy are planning on getting married but will Chloe accept this and will they make it down the alter?

Alex/Stephanie/Chad Ale had this love at first sight moment and wants to be a better man to have Stephanie. Stephnaie is very driven and she's not charmed by a player like Alex. But, underneath all this, does Stephanie have any kind of interest or feelings for Alex? At the same time we're building up a friendship with Stephanie and Chad. She's helping him work through his gried over Abigail but we're starting to see a little sometihng develop there at the same time.

    Johnny/Ava/EJ
EJ maybe bit off a bit more than he could chew with Ava and kind of invited the fox in the henhouse. and, in this case the henhouse is Jonnu. So we see an instant attraction between Johnny and Ava He's becoming more enamoured of her and she is coming to rely on on his as a shoulder to cry on.

    Xander/Sara
We always knew we wanted to give them a nice little wedding and now they finally have it. It doesn't mean happily ever after. I think the tension between who Xander is and who she is will continue to be an issue.

    Eric/Nicole/Rafe/Jada
Nicole thrw herself into this marriage to Rafe, partly even through she's denying it to cut off any sort of feeling for Eric. And we see Eric jump into a relationship pretty fast with Jada.

    Brady/Kristen
There is a custody battle for Rache, and Kristen is using her realtionship with Rachel to stay in Bradys life even if it's in a hostile negative sort of way. It gets ugly when Chloe is pulled into it.

    Gwen/Jennifer
Gwen has always been someone tricky for Jennifer so we thought it would be interesting if gwen got onto the fact that Jennifer was using pills. Is Gwen going to use this to her advantage or help Jennifer?

  9. Josh says the fall will be very Dynamic
Victor: There's still fallout from Ashlands death because by trying to protect his family at all costs, Victor created the scenerio that ailenated Adam. Victor will have to maange this growing battle between Adam and Victoria that will push them in a surprising direction. Victor also sees Adam working for Jabot as going over to the enemy and although Jack may be in Adams corner... No one else is."

    Nikki/Phyllis/Ashley
Their Alliance againt Diane will put them in a very interesting place, especially Nikki. Going forward it will also open the door for something surprising and painful from Ashleys past that will draw her back to Genoa City and keep her there."

    Elena/Nate/Imani/ Devon
Nate grows more fristurated with the lack of support from Devon, and while Elena wlll be urging Nate. "If you're so miserable walk away," Imani is saying "Go for broke." Things will really heat up with these three when Nate starts liking Imanis advice alot more than Elenas. The tension between Devon and Nate is going to push nate to take an action that could have ramifications throughout the family and company.

    Nick Sally Adam
The sitation with these three will really explode. If theres a chance that something could happen between Sally and Nick, it's going to drive Adam crazy,

    Lily/Billy/Chelsea
Chelsea and Billys kiss is something that she cant forget. Even though he's very clear that it was a mistake. and that he will not act on it in any way. Chelsea will be unable to let go and as she moves forward into a very interesting realm for that is much beyond the podcasts, Billy will step in. billy will continue to feel like an outsider at CW because he's not family and that will create conflict with Lily.

    phyllis/Jack/Diane
Diane is remarkably successful in her sincere attempts to win the trust and forgiveness of Jack.... Until the other shoe drops. Phyllis will continue to sabatoge Diane at Marchetti but as savvy as phyllis is she has in many ways met her match with Diane.

Kyle/Summer. Were gong to make up for the fat that fans never got to see their wedding and they are going to have a beautiful vow renewal at the abbott mansion.

    Noah/Allie
Noah will open his night club to great success with Allie at his side. It will be the hippest lounge/bar in town. The set for the night club is fantastic.

    Mariah/Tessa/Sharon
Mariah and Tess are going to encounter all the common obstacles that couples face when they try to adopt. Sharon will be involved and this will lead her into her own storyline that will put all her training to use... and I don't mean pouring coffee.

    Abby/Chance
We are exploring a couple that perhaps married too quickly. The Honeymoon may be over and they'll have to work to fix it.

    Trevor St John.
His character will come in and shake things up on all fronts because he has many connections to people in Genoa City. One of those connections you'll be surprised how it came out and he'll have his hands in many pies. I know Trevor from OLTL and I'm happy to work with him again.

  10. SOD: "Well, The Big news is that days is moving to the streaming service Peacock, Tell us everything!
Corday: It's very excting, this was baked into the last contract when we were renewed in 2021, The network always had the right to migrate the show exclusively to peacock and now they decided to do so and we're excited. The bottom line is, this is the future. Whether people believe it now or in a year or two, this is the future of first run dramatic television. Let's just hope the migration is wonderful and our loyal viewers stick with us and subscribe.

SOD: Are you concerned that people might be reluctant to watch on a different platform?
Corday: "Well, We have to find a way to make this very easy and palpable for our viewers, be it young or old, to kno ow it works, not only by subscription  but how it actually works at home on your phone and with your TV. So we'll be be doing some promos and PSAs for that. We'll have Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes showing eachother how to access Peacock.

SOD: What about people worried the show won't be the same?
Corday: "For starters, it's the same show You will probably be getting more show content after February of next year. Because we don't have to limit the show to 38 minutes with 22 minutes of commercial time and with the higher subscription you get no commercials So that's good, Also the brodcast quality on streaming is better than network brodcast.

SOD: What is your overal message to the viewers.
Corday: It's 2022 and the future is here. There are three certain things about life. The most precious thing about life is time. so this is happening quickly and we have to make the most of it. The most constant thing in life is change. We have to accept it and roll with it. And the most inportant thing in life is happiness. We have to make NBC happy and the viewers happy. There's trepidation because this is a big change, but it's going to be the same Days you know and love and it will be better in small ways. First longer program length come spring we will be able to say and do things that are a little bit more titliating than on brodcast it's still Days but it's not your mothers days. it changes, it's growing but in all the best ways. The network has been extremly postive and happy and are allaying any qualms I may have.

SOD: What do you say to the people who are saying Days will be cancelled?
Corday: "Yeah, it's funny how the bottom feeders grabbed the news and said "Days will be cancelled, next." It never ceases to amaze me ho, you know "If it bleeds it leads," And let's say the worst things we can say about it. This is not the end of an era, it's the beginning of another. "
