so i watched 198 episodes of GH in german (that's my mother language) where it aired back in the day.. They started in february 1980 and i am on November 24th.

I have two big questions and i don't mean to sound rude or anything but did anyone actually liked Anne Logan back in the day? Like really enjoyed her stint?

I watched 198 Episodes from Episode 4316 to 4513 and have the feeling that her character did nothing for the show. She was so damn annoying with her all mighty morals and whinny behavior... I don't know how the relationship will end with Jeff yet but i will get there soon but i can't wait. I heard he slept with Diana and i am so down for it. He had more chemistry with Diana in their scenes they had then with Anne.

Anne is all tease but nothing much.

And my second question is: What was the intention of Alexandria Quartermaine? Was she introduced to fill Tracy Quartermaines hole? I mean Alexandria feels like a Tracy clone and not really a good one to be honest but i can tolerate her for now. Good thing about it is that we get so see more Edward during those episodes again.

If i were a Luke and Laura shipper i would be damn upset right now. I mean they gave us a whole damn Summer of Luke and Laura just to break them up and letting Luke getting involved with that Alexandria Quartermaine and her ice princess business.. They mentioned the Cassadines already by November 1980.. Interesting.

I love those years 1980 1981! Where can they be seen? I know that in youtube you can find 149 episodes, and I would love to see the rest although I don't understand German! They are awesome! If so, please p.m. Thanks

I don't know the actor sitting with Wanda, but I think that memorial might have been for Vinnie, not Jim Craig.

Found the first article in a March 6, 1981, newspaper re Vinnie's death.

Nat Polen died in May 1981.  Found the second article in an August 22, 1981 newspaper.

It appears that Jim Craig's death wasn't commemorated on-screen.  Found the third article in an August 2, 1982, newspaper.

@slick jonesDon't know whether you already have this name, but a real priest, Father George Moore, appeared as the priest for Vinnie's funeral.

Thank you very much! Definitively, it must be Vinnie's funeral....Wanda is in big sorrow....and maybe that man next to her could be her brother (Paul, I think)....the one who appeared in her wedding in February 1975

  4. I have been watching Asa and Sam's wedding (24 June 1981) and Wanda is alone at the wedding, not with Vinnie....and he doesn't appear at the final credits of the episode because he died during the week of 23rd February. I read somewhere that Vinnie was killed on 9th July 1981...but it is wrong!

Nat Polen (Jim Craig) died on 3rd May 1981.....and I guess his memorial took place one or two months later....so at that point Vinnie was dead.....so who is that man next to Wanda?

  5. I have been watching this clip about Jim Craig's memorial in OLTL 1981....and I think there is a new Vinnie Wolek in town....it is the man who is with Wanda....Am I wrong? I didn't know that there was a new Vinnie just episodes before the character was killed.... Any idea? Thanks

Paul Martin was the defense attorney when Viki was on trial for murdering Marco Dane, but I don't recall Myrtle crossing over to OLTL that year. Do you have an idea of why she would have gone to Llanview?

I read this some time ago, and I guessed this Myrtle was the one from AMC:

ONE LIFE TO LIVE: Week of January 22 - January 26, 1979

Karen coerced Beverly into helping find Marco’s real murderer.  Samantha looked swell after her bandages were removed.  Someone impersonated Niki, because Viki was with Paul Martin when landlady Myrtle reported that Niki had paid her rent money at the same time.  Tony and Paul Kendall reconciled their differences at Brian’s grave.  Brad lost big bucks at the racetrack with Gwen.  Lynn fretted about being called as a prosecution witness.

  7. I am really excited too....So episode 1195 is the first in 1992?

I could see some episodes in German ( I don't understand German) 20 years ago....and I took notes....I think that in episode 1264, it is the masquarade ball, in episode 1272, we can see St Thomas for first time, 1293 is the first one with Sheila, 1294 is the first with Zack, 1296 is Taylor and Ridge wedding...interesting episodes!!!

Actually, Jim and Anna’s wedding was not in April of 1970, but in early August of 1969.  There is one entire episode of OLTL posted on YouTube that is dated 7/11/69.  You can see Meredith and Tom Edwards in the library at Llanfair talking and Anna is there with Meredith.  A later scene shows the first Victor Lord (Ernest Graves), trying to help Tom discover who he is.  He mentions that he and Meredith are experiencing a “family crisis” , and need some distraction.  It seems that this was when Viki, in the persona of Niki Smith had “escaped” to the west coast.  This would explain why she was not at Jim and Anna’s wedding.

If you watch the entire episode, you can hear the announcer speaking over the closing credits reminding everyone to tune into the launching of

Apollo 11 on the following Wednesday, July 16.

I think this is one of the only two OLTL episodes from the very early years that are available in their entirety. The other episode is from November of 1968 and is available at the William Paley center (formerly known as the Museum of Broadcasting) in Manhattan.  Hopefully when more of the museums open, I can get a chance to go to the city to see it.

I began watching OLTL from the very beginning.  I would watch it after school, and during the summer when I wasn’t working.  When I was working full time in an office, we were allowed to have radios at our desks as long as they weren’t too loud.  I had a radio that carried the audio signal of the local tv channels so I could listen while I worked.  I eventually got a vcr, and continued to watch until the storyline got too ridiculous for my taste in the late 90s.  I did watch the 40th anniversary show, and the final show, though.

According to my notes, the wedding was on 24th and 25th July 1969, and there are several photos in the internet. Larry and Meredith were married at the end of June of 1970, but no one has a picture of this wedding!

    Greetings to all of you!
I am active now, but I will probably write very little

Welcome !!! And thanks for the videos...I am a YR fan and I also love "Liebe,Lüge,Leidenschaft" and searching fans with German episodes!

  10. Genie Francis' first tape day was 28 December 1976 and her first episode was 3512....on 4 January 1977!
