  1. Now THAT would be a shocking, Friday ending! Would they have Laura do that? Imagine the outrage of her fans! LOL Maybe Holly, who has no connections, in PC.

Is Laura staying, or is this just a temporary visit, does anyone know? I know it's not going to happen as I'd like, but I wish she'd just drop into town to sort out crazy Nikolas, and not interfere with Luke's life.

    Oh yes!

I almost dread watching; I know they're going to find unexpected ways of hurting my heart.

But I enjoyed today (June 3), but not as much as I would have, had I been smart enough to remain spoiler free, and didn't know Luke's time is limited.

There's time in abundance, for Tracy and Dillon to catch up--I can wait for that--but not much time for Luke and Tracy.

The Haunted Star doesn't seem a good place to hold this party! LOL He should realize that suggesting such a thing will make almost anyone suspicious of this rapid recovery.

Dillon spoke as if he hasn't been in touch with Tracy, through this whole year. That doesn't seem likely, to me. She did mention him, at the time of AJ's funeral... said she told dillon not to make the trip, he was in Japan, I think she said.

  3. ILTQ, excellent post, May 26. I agree with your comments about JE and TG's friendship. It's lovely. We wish the best for people we admire. What I know or don't know about their real lives doesn't determine how much I love their characters--and I'd rather not know much, because it feels invasive, to me.

    You said:

    >I still remember my girl just STANDING there one of the last times Laura was around, when Laura got in her face in her/Monica's house. Old school Tracy

at least would have ordered her out or threw her out and may have even gotten physical or plotted against her.

Ooh, that, I'd love to see! :)

Are you talking about 2008, or 2013, or some other time?

I know there was some clip from summer 2013, when Laura barged in, demanding that Tracy tell her what she knew about Luke's whereabouts. It just struck me as incredibly rude, on Laura's part. It didn't sit well with me, coming from her--from an ex-wife. If Lulu had asked for this info, fine, but Laura? I just wanted her to board a plane, and be gone! LOL (which is probably what I'll be saying, for the next few months.)

But even Tracy can surely feel worn down, over time. I don't mind seeing her softer, emotional side. Despite moments of that sort, I've noticed that some people STILL insist that she's cold and incapable of feeling! I don't get it.

As for today, Dillon has terrible timing. But I'm happy to see him.

Lots of chatter, elsewhere, about how Tracy should be cautious, not rush into accepting the proposal. I don't see that it makes a jot of difference. She assumed she and Luke are already married, their commitment isn't in doubt, so this reaffirms that. They've been through hell, this past year; what harm can another ceremony do? Let it happen! Let it be big and lavish and overly sweet, if this is the last we will have of LuNacy.

    SPOILER

    Holly's coming back, too.

  4. You're kidding! NO, guess you aren't. Add me to the ranting and outraged chorus, ILTQ! I didn't know it was already WK's last day.

Don't TpTB know that these kinds of scenes are what make us care about the characters? Ned wouldn't leave town without saying goodbye... would he? But, what do I know? (I haven't watched today's ep. After the second live show with no TG, no JE, I'm not devoting a minute of my time to GH, until a recap says one or both of them appears. They're even screwing up Franco and Nina...)

All bleak. What IS there to look forward to?

  5. No, one measly day was not enough. I hoped she'd be on one of the live shows, too.

I also hoped there'd be more bloopers. :) Best parts were Anna's scenes.

Ooh, waiting on hold, grr! I hope it won't be long, for you. I can't stand that recorded voice reminding you to be patient, blah blah, every few minutes, so that if you're half listening...as anyone would be, you keep thinking someone's actually answered. What's wrong with just music, or silence? I'm sure I've been caught yelling some choice curses at the thing, once or twice, when a person does eventually come on the line. LOL

  6. MsQ, how thoughtful! You're now my favorite person. :) Seriously, though, thank you SO much! You've just made my day!

Your description of her hairstyle was excellent--I can picture that. You ARE good at this.

DVDs are in my future! Thank you for sharing the link.

re, article - Ah, an image--that explains it. :) I really appreciate you taking time to type this out. It was wonderful.

I like the paragraph about her "reflective" side. That gets to me, every time. I'd add her scene with Ned, after leaving the Haunted Star, to that list, when she was telling Ned what happened with Helena and Luke (Feb 5, maybe?). She sounded so defeated.

ILTQ, a puddle of goo. Yeah, me, as well. :) And I had a guy friend like that, also. He's dropped off the face of the earth, since acquiring an insecure wife who he can't, or won't, convince of the reality that his friends are just friends. Maybe he likes the attention and drama. I don't, so maybe it's for the best. Sad, though.

  7. And sad, talking to Luke's picture! Still, I enjoyed her scenes--but that's a given, really. :) I love her laugh, when Michael said he's been covering for Ned.

Remos, magical, yes! Very well put, above.

I'm not as interested in Luke, without her, but I do care about Tracy, herself. I'm still invested in what goes on with her, independent of him, so I guess I'll watch, days I know she's on. unfortunately, no other current Sl is very compelling.

I wonder if she'll be in either of the live shows.

I wish Ned was staying! His scenes with Tracy were some of my favorites, from last spring when I began watching.

I haven't seen much of Dillon, so haven't warmed to him, but will try to keep an open mind. He's older... and maybe they'll cast someone new.

So, I gather from positive, though non-specific comments elsewhere, that she looked different, yesterday. Would someone be kind enough to describe, please?

  8. It's good news, if it's true. I'm grateful for any screen time she has. It just seems bleak, with Ned going, as well.

One of the reasons I so love Tracy and Luke is the long-term nature of them, such a rarity, for soap couples. To have that end is incredibly sad, as it would be, in reality. It would be tough to have her dropped into something new, right away, as if the last decade didn't much matter.

But I didn't mind Tracy and Joe... the few clips I've seen (maybe because, watching after the fact, I knew she'd be back with Luke, later?) so I'll get used to whatever comes; I just hope they write it well and believably, and don't rush it. I haven't managed to buy in to any of the other recent so-called romances (aside from mild interest in Nina/Franco), so I may be asking for the impossible! :)

Jane will still be around; I suppose that's all that matters.

  9. ...and after rereading the article, and probably over-analyzing what he says, I'm afraid they're about to give us something involving Laura, in some way that will disregard his love for Tracy. He says he doesn't want that, but then goes on to say that he didn't like the SL presented to him, but realizes he doesn't own Luke. This doesn't sound promising, to me.

If TPTB are going to accede to his wishes in previous SLs, why should his exit be any different?

Maybe I should just quit, now. I feel ridiculously upset about this. Not the kind of thing you can explain to family or friends, is it? Ha!

  10. Thanks, Remos.

I'm crushed, guess it will take a few days to adjust to the idea, but at least I know what to expect. That's almost as sad as the thought of Jane leaving.

I love what he says about her!

Sounds like it's going to be an emotional couple of months.

If they can't find anything for her to do when Luke's not around, I'm not very optimistic about Tracy's SLs after he leaves.

  11. Hi, all.

Sam and her droning voice is boring, with Jake, with Patrick, with Silas. Ugh! Agree, Remos. She tops my list of least faves, she and Maxie.

Hookedongh, thanks for the article. I'm glad TG mentioned Jane; I hope we see her, SOON! I'm happy to know TG's back to work, this week, so the wait won't be too long. It's been a couple of weeks--long enough in the world of GH for Luke's recovery, surely! :)

I'm weary of the constant rumors of his retirement I see elsewhere, so I'm equally relieved to hear that he doesn't hint at such an event.

News of Laura's return makes me feel sick and depressed and annoyed. WHY, WHY do they have to do this?!

We've heard her name so many times lately that it shouldn't have come as a surprise. Luke and Tracy seem well established, yeah, but I fear we will still have to endure comments from others that imply Tracy's only his second choice, or some such rubbish.

PartyPerson, glad you got to enjoy the concert! (Seeing Cher was like that, for me, a few years back.) I'm not a huge fan of SN--I like 20s-30s jazz, lately - but I love her "Trouble in Shangri-la" CD. Hey, that Nomad/Candlebright song is a good one, for Luke, isn't it? :)

And, I'm enjoying your story! Continue, please!

Okay, so I'll be brave. here's the link to mine, it's still a work in progress. Fluke stuff. It WILL be completed.

    https://www.fanfiction.net/s/10964507/1/A-Stranger-In-My-House

I'm a bit insecure about writing for these characters, I'm still learning about them. But there were so many gaps in the SL, that I HAD to try--and I figured only about two people would read it--which honestly wouldn't trouble me. :) I'm open to thoughts of any kind, suggestions for improvement, or possibly collaborations in future. I have ideas for other non-Fluke-centric stories.

  12. Thanks for the link, Drw50. This will be a treat!

I've been entertaining myself with some of the 1978 GH clips, recently. I need to try to see them in order (I love the longer scenes, and sometimes superior writing!)

What I watched this morning must be early days of Luke's arrival, he and Bobbie are plotting to get Laura in trouble--I love that. Bobbie and Laura clearly hate each other. :)

Tracy refers to her absent son as "Neddie". :) And Edward's apparently not on screen, just yet. Only Alan and Monica and Tracy.

Luke and Tracy are on the same eps, but not in the same scenes (I've only come across one short clip with them speaking to each other, perhaps 1980?--when she asks Luke if she's invited to his and Jennifer's wedding, with a curious undertone.) In 1978, though, they are both unattached, as far as I can gather. *sigh* What missed opportunity! This requires some fanfic wish fulfillment, I think, in the form of a short-term tryst, which one or both may not recall, later. Nothing to change

events as we know them, but something to add a little interest to their later interactions, maybe?

On the other hand, though it would be a delight to have seen them get together earlier, on the show, I think it's for the best that it happened in the time frame it did; their history makes them the fascinating people they are. They're probably better suited to each other, now, than they would have been 30 years ago. (and personally, I prefer both of them, older. Definitely I like Luke, older. That delicious voice...)

I have nothing more current and relevant to say. Blah. WHEN will she be back? I think I've only watched one ep, this week!

  13. Morning, MS Q, and everyone.

It's a rare lovely sunny day, in WA state, warm enough to sit outside and bask. I may get nothing constructive done, today, but drink hot tea and read.

Ha! So, Ned giving away his shares to supposedly help and protect someone he cares for... the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, hmm?

He may make the occasional dumb decision, but I adore Ned! I wish he would stick around.

And WHERE on earth is Monica?

To where is Luke being transferred, this time?

I missed it, if they said. I hope he doesn't escape, again! How many times can he do the same thing? (Why do I ask stupid questions? LOL) I dont even think they need to explain his absence most of these times TG's away, just have a character mention him, now and then, say they just saw Luke, and that should be sufficient. Luke doesn't need to be made out to be quite so inconsiderate, and irresponsible. But I guess now we can blame all of that on Fluke. Fluke has a heck of a lot to answer for! 2011...

Despite the loose ends, at least now I can, in future, revisit the Fluke clips and it's easier to take, knowing it wasn't some stranger, invading Tracy's life.

I don't seek out spoilers--I like to be surprised--but don't mind reading them if I happen to see one. I do like to know if JE will be on (so thank you! And that's too bad.). It gets a bit tedious without her, after about a week.

I wouldn't say I watch only to see her, exactly, but she is the highlight, and if she ever leaves, I'd probably give up GH. I can't imagine enduring day after day of Maxie, Sam and Sonny/Carly--all my least favorites--with no Tracy as consolation! I can get a soapy fix elsewhere, if I must. I could take up one of the soaps from the UK, as everything's posted on Youtube, these days. Perhaps the writing's better. Maybe the nifty accents would just make it seem so. LOL

I really CAN go off onto a tangent! Sorry.

  14. Ms Q, yes, I too have been disappointed that the Luke/Tracy scenes have been so brief. And, I know he has a lot to deal with and process, but I want to hear him say he loves her--she assured him that she's here for him. He SHOULD reciprocate that sentiment! Show some concern for what she's going through, as well. (It's a sort of halfhearted complaint, though. I'm just so glad Luke is back, and mostly in his right mind! And he called her "wife" too. Nice that someone remembered that little detail.)

I'm not thrilled with all the mentions of Laura, however. That makes me nervous! I wouldn't mind her being around for Lulu's sake, if her involvement was solely limited to visiting her daughter. Reality of actors and such things aside, laura should have put in an appearance, if she was going to, last September, during that absurd, pointless Creighton-Clark fiasco.

But more importantly, I was glad to see Ned, today!

Why isn't Tracy stepping in as CEO? Didn't Ned say he didn't want the job, months ago?

Now that Fluke's out of the picture, where ELQ is concerned, there's no reason for Tracy to be barred from the company, right? Especially once she finds out what an idiotic blunder Ned's made--if he did indeed give Franco what he asked for. LOL Oh, I can't wait to see her reaction, when that comes out! A good fight would nicely round out the week. :)

Franco amuses me, so I'm looking forward to whatever's in store.

  15. Oh, and I thought it should be Tracy keeping watch, protecting Luke from Valerie. That's what I'd rather see, anyway--nothing against Lulu, though. :)

I think I'm going to like Valerie, and it usually takes me a while to warm up to new characters.

It would have been great if Patricia had been kept on, as well. I think it was a mistake to kill her off, so soon. Such lost story potential!

  16. Hello, all.

I'm late to the party, but am incredibly thrilled to be here. I've been browsing this board since last June, but was unable

to register--won't bore you all with details, but it was rather depressing to not be able to join the one place where Tracy

fans congregate. So, this may be a lengthy first post.

    I'm Christina. I am a fairly new fan; started watching last April, as a way to distract myself from sad personal stuff;

it's helped having something to look forward to, every day. I enjoy most the characters who are at least my age (41) or

older. (For the record, I loathe the kids, as they are presently portrayed as mini adults! If we must have kids on the

show, I want to see them speaking and acting like children..but I prefer character-driven stories, and realistic things, in

general... so WHY am I watching GH? Ha!)

In trying to get familiar with characters and SLs, I came across a description of Luke and Tracy's relationship, which

intrigued me. And of course, I knew the names Luke and laura, vaguely--and do my best to forget that, now. LOL (My mother

watched Days, in the 80s, and I do actually remember Angelica!

So, then, sifting at random through older GH clips, Q's are the most entertaining part of the show. And one of the first I

saw was Luke and Tracy discussing Laura (one of her last names happens to be mine! Oh God! Noo! LOL). What caught my

attention first about Tracy was her humor--I adore her laugh. The clip was from 2/22/13, and Tracy was laughing at Luke's
mention of the ice princess. "A rock on a stick?!") Ha! As I had the same reaction when reading about that crazy storyline,

    I liked Tracy, at once.

I like her personality--that she's sharp and outspoken, and I love her relationship with Luke. But I'm definitely a Tracy

fan, first. I prefer her with Luke, but I'm just happy to see JE on screen, no matter who else is in her scenes.

I enjoy her scenes with Ned, too. He should spend more time with his mother, and less with Olivia, IMO. :)

The Youtube clips are a bit patchy. There's almost nothing from 2005, up to about the time of the Black and White ball, in

2007, and I don't know how to find them, but I'd really love to see the beginning of them... how did this marriage start? I

know the facts of it, but that's not the same joyous thing as seeing it! I write fan fiction, as well (have one story in

progress, now, and ideas for more), and want to get it right. There's SO much history to learn. If anyone can direct me to

clips, or share them, I'd be so grateful!

And Fluke... where to start, talking about that. It may take a few weeks worth of posts. Of course it's an utterly

ridiculous premise, but it's what I encountered first, so I don't hate it as much as a lot of people do. I'm relieved that

he wasn't some impostor, and that Tracys wasn't harmed as much as
she would have been, had he been someone else! But I am overjoyed to finally have Luke back, in his right mind! Nice that

he asked for her, first thing when he woke up, yesterday. Aww.

Luke needs to come home, where he belongs. After a year of this, they (and we) deserve the sweetest possible reunion for L

and T, but I worry we won't get it. We also need to see Tracy deal with the effects of the emotional fall-out, from this

    Fluke business.

I want them to sort it out, and stay together, and be happy, for more than five minutes! Surely, a happy couple doesn't

have to mean that they're boring. If so, it's down to lack of imagination on the part of the writers, IMO.

    That's probably enough, for now.

Oh, and I want to thank you all for the excellent past comments, here (I'm working my way through). I'm blind, and so the

visual aspects of the show are absent, for me. Reading scene, clothing, and body language descriptions has been a delight,

and so very helpful! I appreciate any extra detail I read (it's particularly useful for fanfic purposes--I need to be able

to imagine people and settings) so I just wanted to say how grateful I am, and anyone who is so inclined, PLEASE, please

    keep it up. :)
