  1. Not shocked by Missy Reeves and her daughter. Racism and homophobia is not an opinion. I'm not sure when conservatism became the "let's hate equality and freedom for all" crew but it has.
  2. I had not read this. I'll check it out. "I have never felt on the set of Days I was treated less than anyone else because I was black. I do feel the black characters on the show should be more on the forefront and equal to some of the white counterparts. It should be equal or close to it. I don’t keep track of how many episodes I have in relation to other actors. That’s not my job. My job is to take my lines, go to work, and do the best I can with it. I just hope that there is some change for the stories that are being told for the black counterparts on the show. What I can say with certainty is that I have always believed that we need more than three.” If Lamon knows that Black characters aren't equal to white counterparts then what does he contribute it to if it isn't race? Lack of talent? Lack of looks? Lack of fan interest? None of that applies to him and Sal Stowers! He had an opportunity here and he continued to toe the line.
  3. This made me sadder. It's just disheartening to support and love something that doesnt love you back.
  4. @KMan101 another perspective. There was a time when the LBGT couldn't get married legally and were shunned. Shouldn't folks who were apart of the crowd that shunned the community be allowed to grow and change. Would we ever call a person who becomes more tolerant a hypocrite for becoming so. Daytime soaps still has theurbstigma even as streaming and online shows become more acceptable.
  5. Not so much hypocritical as adaptable. I can recall a time when big name movie actors looked down on headlining TV shows. Now we've got will smith headlining Netflix originals.
  6. Count me as one who thinks it's more about legitimatacy. Online equates to low budget and less legitimate as stated above. However, these complaints were from years ago before technology made watching online shows almost indescernable from those that are on cable or network tv. Most cable boxes allows for watching YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, etc the same way we watch CBS and HBO. And for someone like me who typically watch almost everything on TV via On Demand, its even less discernable. I think that opinion for soaps going online has probably changed with the times. +1 Exactly this! The stigma no longer exist.
  7. I'm sure that'll be just as amusing. But I wanted the nostalgia.
  8. Anybody watch season 2? Ralph Angel is one more beautiful manchild. I can't stand his tantrums but love his acceptance of Blue. He talks all that big talk about the farm and then comes crawling back. And Charley just allows it without throwing it in his face. She's a far better woman than me. Micah's recounting of his arrest was haunting. The cops terrorize people like that every day. Evil. I'm loving Nova's arc this season. She's met a man with friends in high places. She's too scared of selling out that she's limiting herself. Purity is all well and good but she needs to be prepared to continue to not have resources she needs to make a a bigger impact. She's cutting off her nose go spite her face. That he's gorgeous, educated, driven, and totally enamored of her should seal the deal. That's a power couple in the making. Remy is sweet but I can feel Charley and Davis reuniting in the future.
  9. I'm super excited by this. JustJack was one of my favorite characters ever!
  10. Watch it slowly to savor it. Lol
  11. The show won't be back until 2018 and I'm just sick about it.
  12. This show is a masterpiece. I haven't loved a show like this since my beloved Spartacus was cancelled. So, "what door". "Doesn't look like anything to me." The twist of twists and my heart broke.
  13. The same thing I loved about Greenleaf, I'm loving about Queen Sugar. It's visually beautiful, tightly scripted with rich dialogue, poignantly acted, and full of southern black culture. Bravo!
  14. Is Ava the Writer/EP for this show? I love that she's giving women (especially those of color) opportunities behind the camera.
  15. If Wendy isn't purposely trolling then she's too ignorant for words. I'd have more respect for her if she knew what she was doing.
  16. Another good episode. Ashley is just all over the place. Confronting folks left and right and irrational to boot. I see her back in a padded cell before it is all over with. I wonder if she will be sniffing that stuff Tucker has for Mrs C. Victoria about to kill Chloe. Was it intentional. I can't tell. But either way it is going to be a problem. Hope she doesn't die. And Leslie...really...just tell the secret out like that. I knew it was coming as she was to ansty and stalkerish to keep it much longer.
  17. Waiting on Drucilla to make her appearance to her family.
  18. Poor Katherine. ALl this time and she still doesn't understand that her son is a snake in the grass. And Ashley. Why is she confronting Neil and Harmony about Roxy. They aren't her parents...or anything like that. Billy and Chloe. Yep. ANd Victoria with her eye full. I can't wait to see how this goes down. ANd to top it off we have the "real" Victoria back. None of this wimpering and simpering bohemian mess.
  19. Gloria marrying a man and doesn't know his last name. A mess. Devon is jumping to conclusions. Abby doesn't sound obsessed at all. She just likes him and wants him. He needs to relax. Victor is so mean. Just a heartless bastard. Going to embarass all these folks.
  20. LMBO at that last scene. Both Roxy and Abby are fierce. But he needs to wake up before Roxy chokes the life out of Abby. Literally. Tucker is just lower than low. Gonna make the woman look crazy and sell it as a reality show. That is too much. I love it. LOL. Jack is true to form. Wanting to prostitute his sister to get what he wants.
  21. Let the battle begin...can't wait.
  22. I have read the entire soap...but it might have been a while so I don't remember what it is or maybe it wasn't clear to me. Keep up the great work...enjoying it.
  23. Chloe needs to save herself. That Billy just ain't no good for anyone. He is telling her he loves her but I have to question whether he is being sincere. He is the kind that will just tell you whatever you want to hear to get what he wants. Malcolm...lol...who is he fooling? He is hurt trying to act so tough. Jack is about to blow a gasket when he finds out about Keemo and Gloria. THey are sweet together...not sure I like the May-December romance aspect though. LOL. Why didn't Devon confront Nate...I was ready for a rumble. LOL.
  24. Drucilla is always entertaining...always. She should be on more episodes.
