  1. I love this thread. It makes me remember that GH really did used to be a great show.
  2. Thanks for posting the clips.
  3. Interesting articles. I also like the pic with all the GH ladies. Thanks for posting.
  4. The dark haired guy is Kevin O'Connor played by Kevin Bernhardt. He was the serial killer. The actor even filled in for Jack Wagner playing Frisco for a time when JW got in a hissy fit with Gloria Monty. The blonde is Guy Mack who played Patrick O'Connor. Boring doctor. Zzz. And yes, DRW50, it was an odd time for the show. Tristan Rogers and Emma Samms had just left the show and there was a noticeable void in who should play a leading role on this show. Clearly, Terry and the O'Connor boys were not it.
  5. This storyline only disappointed because both Tristan and Finola left the show. It never truly got resolved. Maybe that's why the R&A and R&H fans are still fighting. Then again, they'd probably be fighting no matter what happened.
  6. While I loved both Robert and Anna, I was not a fan of their romance. Maybe it's because I saw both Robert and Holly and Duke and Anna in real time and I just thought Robert and Anna paled in comparison.
  7. Those are some great photos! I love the ones with Gloria Monty.
  8. Name one couple that Guza didn't piss all over?
  9. Thanks for all the wonderful pics, Adelaide Cate!
  10. Love all those photos! Thanks for posting!
  11. It is. Tony, Genie (and Tristan) improvised a lot together. I think Gloria Monty encouraged it. Also of interest is that sometimes TG would not show up for work and his lines went to TR. Funny, how that ended up being the case again just recently.
  12. Bawaaaaaaaaaahh! I didn't watch this video 18 billion times - but it was close!
  13. ^^ I know Emma and Kin are very good friend in real life. He bought her piano when she moved back to London.
  14. Emma Samms wasn't fired. She left on her own. Probably because she knew that Holly and dud Bill Eckert weren't working out. She knew viewers wanted to see Robert & Holly - not Bill & Holly.
  15. IA. While Monty didn't have an on-air tribute to Emily, at least she didn't butcher the characters that came before her beyond recognition.
  16. Small request - any Duke clips?
  17. Love the stroll down memory lane of Bobbi Spencer and the behind the scenes pics from 1984. Thanks.
  18. This was great. Thanks for posting. I love seeing the old brownstone, Bobbi & Jake, Aunt Ruby, Scotty, Tiffany and her sister Cheryl. I remember I even liked the pairing of Cheryl and Robert. The good old days.
  19. Demi Moore looks so young. And I love the off screen group shots. If you have more, that would be great. Thanks!
  20. Great post, Sweet Pea. I agree with every word.
  21. As a HUGE Gloria Monty fan, I have to say I really loved the Wendy Riche era. I thought she was a fantastic producer. She respected Monty's GH but made the show her own. While watching Riche's GH, I remember thinking for the first time how proud I was to watch the show. I will always love Monty's GH more than Riche's GH, but I really came to enjoy all the different aspects of Riche's GH. It was more balanced than Monty's GH. The show under her reign was well written, respected history, showcased a lot of different characters and had true emotion. I absolutely cannot stand Bob Guza as a writer, but I liked him under Riche's reign. That says a lot. I would give anything to have Riche back to tell GH's last stories. She is greatly missed.
  22. I guess I would say that Luke and Robert are tied in popularity as GH's leading man. I think the current (Cartini) and previous (Phelps & Guza) regime want us to think it's Luke - but I truly believe Robert is right up there with Luke. As far as romances go, obviously no one can touch Luke & Laura, but I really don't think any of Luke's other romances were that popular. Jackie, Holly, Connie, Tracy, Skye, Felicia...and now maybe Anna....were okay but some of them were downright repulsive. I think TPTB just tried to shove the pairings down the viewers' throats and thought they would fly because it was TONY GEARY. Robert Scorpio was much more appealing to me as a woman. He could be so cocky and confident as the Police Commissioner and then melt when he was with a woman - a deadly combination. Plus, once they paired him with Holly, he was a one-woman man. And not too many actors can claim to be a part of TWO supercouples (Robert & Holly and Robert & Anna). I also loved Robert with Tiffany, Cheryl and Katherine. The only two ladies I didn't like him with were Jackie and Autumn. So, for me, Robert wins as GH's leading man but I suspect soap columnists and TPTB would say it's Luke.
  23. The funny thing is that Laura Wright (GH's leading lady) is older than Kristina was at the time but that didn't stop Frons from shoving her character down our throats.
  24. ^^ This was a good time for GH. Thanks for posting. I remember they took a huge cast photo at the 30th Anniversary with just about every former big GH star there. Those were the days. I miss them.
  25. I do. It was Grant Putnam. The DVX was trying to kill Celia and Grant saw the Scorpion and shoved it off the bed and got bit himself. Celia called Holly and Robert who met them at the hospital.
