She's on, and apparently making quite an impression. All the posts about her at SZ are followed by lots of exclamation points....

Hey, MsQ, did you get your snow?????? It's cold, rainy, and disgusting here. I'm thinking of Tracy and Luke bonding to get me through the day. :mmmmm: Bonding.........

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I'm definitely of the "Tracy knew nothing of Rick's death" camp. Hell, it was obvious Tracy didn't know Monica and Rick had taken up together again. But I think Tracy suspects the family had something to do with it, and I think she believes Alan was involved. In fact, I think at this point, Tracy might believe Alan did it himself, or that Monica did it and Alan covered up. (Hence, the whole reaffirmation of The Quartermaine Way with Edward.) I don't think that Tracy had any part in the murder, nor that she had any knowledge of the murder. I don't think she's been covering up, either. Tracy is Quartermaine to the core. If she had something to do with this, or had knowledge of it, that would have come out before. Tracy would never pass up this good a chance at blackmail, even with her own brother. Especially with her own brother. My take is...family. Dillon is family. Lulu is family. Would Tracy "close ranks" to protect Lulu from the outside? Would Tracy protect Lulu from the retribution the family is certain to want? Where does Luke fall in all of this? Because I'm telling you right now, whatever the Qs may think, Luke and Lulu are family now, at least in Tracy's heart. And I think Tracy is trying to figure out how far the Quartermaine Close Rank protection system is going to extend as far as they and her son are concerned. Or maybe it was just another good, pointless scene that in true Guza fashion will give us tons to speculate about and never go anywhere....

lalalalaaaa...not paying attention to Guza's GF wet dreams. I could care less. I'm sure Genie is a lovely person, but it isn't seriously bothering me one way or another, as long as Tracy is still on my screen. And in that vein, I took one of Pink Popsicle's fabulous screen caps and had a little fun. Enjoy:

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Sorry, hooked. It's not new, just new to YouTube. I think I posted an upload link here a while back. I haven't put all my vids up on YouTube because, well, some of them just suck. But now that I have a high-speed connection, I'm putting up a few of the acceptable ones, just for posterity's sake. Still can't bring myself to share some of them, because they're just that bad. So, no reaction to Tracy on today's show? I didn't see anything on SZ's live post about her, one way or another? Let me guess--wallpaper with one line? Oh, and who is TracyQFF on SZ? Is it someone from here?

Dear GAWD, MsQ. you've gotten so GOOD at making mvids. How do you get the effects to apply to only part of the clips? I like the colorization effect, but the purple is a little too dark. Perhaps when you use the purple, you could also try applying the Lighten affect, to see if it makes the actual image a little clearer. Of course, you have the most incredible clip collection in the history of the universe. (Jealous me.) Best thing? You know where all the clips are and remember to use them. (I never remember to use my clips--I didn't even know I had a clip of Tracy dancing with Dillon until the other day.) Oh, and bad news--my miraculous fix of my writing computer lasted until I got home from work Friday afternoon. Then, all my Montgomery Scott tricks had no effect at all. In true Star Trek fashion, as a last ditch effort, I tried to disembowel Fey's incredibly old computer from her mom's basement to scavenge the graphics card, but it didn't work. I couldn't reroute the Heisenberg converter to reduce the tachyon emmsions, and the flux capacitor just laughed when I tried to reinitialize its data stream. Now my writing computer is truly space debris (can you tell who watched five hours of Star Trek: Voyager last night?), and I'm going to have to figure out a way, eventually, to buy a new one. Sigh. And even though I had time on the computer, I wrote nothing this weekend. Because I'm a lazy cow. Back to Tracy? Could someone please post the clips from last week for me? Tracy & Daddy, Tracy and Luke in the PCPD, and Tracy outside the Metrocourt? I'd be eternally grateful.

I would LOVE to see Lucy Coe return to GH, but only if they actually used her in a real capacity.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Hey, Keaton. I loved your comments on LuNacy--yeah, I agree that it's obvious Luke enjoys Tracy's company. When things are going well between them, they just have so much fun. That's what a lot of us have been missing with LuNacy. Between the stupid Laura Gimmick and the stupid Sweeps gimmick, we don't get to see them in their default mode, which is flirty, funny, snarky and fun. Yeah, everybody on the LuNacy bus (even those slackers smoking cigarettes in the back seat) want passion and drama and love between them. But overall, there has to be the fun, the comeraderie, and the flirtation that made LuNacy such a brilliant pairing in the beginning. LaineyBaby, you're back! I knew you had to be on the road, because we got Luke and Tracy interaction, and it was of the good variety. *hugs Lainey and gives her a bus ticket for Monday morning, just in case* I loved the kiss. Even Fey, who is totally off Tracy/Luke these days, made me rewind the scene twice so she could watch it again. (Later, around 1 am, she was singing "Tracy kissed Luuuuke. Tracy kissed Luuuuuke!" in the car on the way to Jerry's after our fiasco of a late dinner died a gruesome death.) Luke and Tracy are SUCH thirteen year olds sometimes. Dillon. You are the most insensitive, heartless, jacka$$ the world has ever seen. DEFENDING LUKE AND LAURA'S LOVE in front of your mother? Gawd, you ARE a Hornsby, aren't you? Scott. She loves him. Another ex-lover you've lost to Luke. Deal with it. Move on. Step away from the LuNacy bus before the driver (Lainey, who is hopped up on No-Doze) mows you down like the trouble-making wretch you are. Tracy. Trust. For once in your sad, sad life, trust in something. Don't go into the light, Tracy Ann....don't go into the light. Yes, Scott's offer may be mesmerizing, but bad things happen when you scheme like that. Trust your husband, even though he hasn't earned it, even though he doesn't deserve it. Trust in your worthiness of love, and the fact that The Boy has never had a partner like you before. (Yeah, you challenge the Gemini. Work it. Keep him interested, and he'll never stray too far....) Oh, and I thought of something last night. Luke's Theme Song. Hey yall watch this! Daddy's belt, Mama's drapes Standin tall on the backyard shed Lookin cool in my Superman cape I told the neighbourhood girls Said hey ya'll, watch this My fate was a broken arm And my reward a one day kiss When daddy asked me why I did it I made him laugh out loud when I told him Cause the chicks dig it Scars heal... glory fades And all were left with are the memories made, oh yeah Pain hurts, but only for a minute Yeah life is short so go on and live it Cause the chicks dig it Black top road, learner permit Thought I was Earnhardt Drivin fast, but I didnt see the ditch Took out a mailbox, then a fence, then a barn The police came and called my father But I met the farmer's daughter And when the judge asked me why I did it He threw the book at me when I told him Cause the chicks dig it Scars heal... glory fades And all were left with are the memories made, oh yeah Pain hurts, but only for a minute Life is short so go on and live it Cause the chicks dig it Just throw caution to the wind my friend And then sit back and watch your life begin, cause Scars heal... glory fades And all were left with are the memories made Yeah pain hurts, but only for a minute Yeah, life's short so go on and live it Cause the chicks dig it Scars heal... glory fades And all were left with are the memories made Pain hurts, but only for a minute Yeah life is short so go on and live it It don't matter if you lose or if you win it Hey the chicks dig it I got this scar when I was three years old showing off for the girl next door On my tricycle And the one over my eye, well I got that back in 82 jumpin off the train Tressele bridge But I got the girl, hah, oh The chicks dig it! ETA: A little old, but have you guys read this article? Some cute stuff about Jane trying to play a joke on Scott Clifton. Also, apparently, according to this source, Jane did her own stunts during the Luke/Laura vow renewal... Break Room? http://pub13.bravenet.com/chat/show.php/1049349012

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Have a great trip, MH! You will survive the lack of computer/online. I managed for an entire week (with one short 20 minute trip to a cybercafe at Disney Quest) in December. It would be nice to see some good scenes with Tracy and Scott--hell, Tracy and anybody--today.... ETA: Per SZ's Live Post, SHE'S ON TODAY, and apparently had somebody LTFAO. And she also supposedly smacked some sense into Pod!Dillon. Yeah. Love the gal.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I don't think my negative comments constitutes the opinion of the entire group. I never called her a simpering wallflower. Selfish, short-sighted, and disloyal to the Nth degree, maybe, but never a wallflower. But don't feel singled out, Marland. I'm pretty much disgusted with every character (well, the one's who aren't being killed off for no good reason) on this show right now. I literally only watch for Tracy, at least until sweeps are over and some degree of normalcy is (cross your fingers) restored.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I didn't watch the Luke/Skye scenes. I've truly gotten to the point where, if Tracy isn't in the scene, I can't bear to watch it. I'm very claustrophobic, and hostage situations trigger my claustrophobia--especially when there is illness or injury involved. (Yeah, writing that story about Tracy being in that little hole with the straw for air--not fun even mentioning it--as is writing the "flashback" part of the AU story.) As it is, there are only two people in that hotel I haven't come to actually loathe (Robin and Alan), and they're the ones who are sick, so can't watch that. Skye is making me want to projectile vomit, and every time I see Monica, I just want to cry. And even though I'm officially back on my anti-depressants (YAY), there ain't enough Prozac in the world to make it worth sitting through that for no pay-off. Luke without Tracy still bothers me, because she should be with him, helping him. She has a much more vested interest in helping those people, because she has more to lose--brother, niece, stepdaughter. But that's another post. OT, guess what, guys? Thanks to my persistance (and desperate desire not to have to buy a new computer), I transformed myself into a TechnoGeek and figured out what was wrong with my writing computer. Then....get this...I RIPPED OUT THE GRAPHICS CARD, brought it to my office, showed it to the IT guy and asked how I could fix it. He gave me the, Oh, this is nothing, let me take it to my office, speech. Well, he came back and didn't have the part to fix it (a teeny tiny bolt that attaches to the side of the input port on the graphics card), but I knew that there were several ports I wasn't using on my computer that I could scavenge a bolt from. So, after the chat last night, I started playing Debbie Tech Girl, and guess what??? I fixed my writing computer!!! Squee. I defragged it last night, but it is set up right next to the main computer and is ready for my writing enjoyment. Sooooo when Fey gets on one of her Sims marathon kicks, instead of channel surfing, I can be writing. *cross your fingers* that this will mean more fanfic soon.

LuNacy in the previews. Fey and I both had this "Oh, No, He Di-In't" moment when he yelled at her. Maybe, just maybe, this will be the point where Tracy blurts out the L word to him. ("My brother, niece and step-daughter are trapped in that hotel. Do you really think I'm going to pay money so that someone ELSE I love can be in danger?" "Spanky! You said you love me!" "No, I didn't." "Yes, you did." "Don't change the subject. I'm still not posting bail.") Looking forward to today's ep, and HOPEFULLY being able to chat with you guys tonight.

Checked SZ live post. I'm assuming no Tracy today? Sucks thumb and pouts in a corner. We now return to my regularly scheduled menta-fic....Trac and Luke at the hospital, pre-Alan's death, post- MC Go BOOM.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Checked out the Tracy-Luke-Spinelli picture again. Love that woman's figure, but that's not what I was going to mention. Luke and Spinelli are covered in ashes, so I'm assuming this takes place after the explosion. I also noticed both Luke and Tracy are holding coffee cups (of the Starbucks-type variety). They're sharing a cup o'Joe together after a tragedy, husband and wife. Ya'll, I hate the LuNacy bus. My brain tells me "no, no," but my heart just says "YES YES YES." I want them together almost as much as Lainey does, if that doesn't scare you enough..... I don't even care so much about the Wild Crazy LuNacy Monkey Sex. I want them to admit they love each other, and act on it. They are just so darned good together. They look good together. They feel good together. They belong together. Now. If we can just get HIS daughter and HER son to stop trying to destroy HER family in the name of HIS ex-wife, the Rutabaga Queen..... ETA: Pinkpopsicle, LMFAO over the Dark Helmet pics. Yeah, Luke looked like a complete idiot, gawd bless him. And Tracy just had to laugh. *hugs Tracy's Real!Laughter and protects it like an Arthurian knight*

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Sorry I missed the chat last night. RL made me it's B*TCH again. Sigh. I'll try again Thursday night. About JE/TQ's scene yesterday. Yeah, it was a pointless inclusion of characters that didn't advance the plotline whatsoever except to reveal that Luke was in jail. It was still the only scene I watched on regular speed (thank ghu for fast forward.) Jane looked so pretty--I know, we hate the stupid PETA-bait she's wearing around her throat, and brown is so not her color. But she still looked pretty, all arm in arm with JI/ELQ. I'm assuming the irony of her nagging him about taking his heart pills and avoiding stress was lost on no-one, correct? And yeah, I caught the laugh. It was so good to see her laugh. Man, as much as I want to smack Luke Spencer up and down his irresponsible head, I love when he's in her life. I love it, because she laughs. Not that UberB*tch, Mama Is Evil laugh, but a genuine, sorry, this is too funny to resist sort of laugh. Off the cuff and real laughter. I want something good to come out of all this horrible stuff that's going on. I want Tracy and Luke to find each other through this mess, to figure out what's real and what's bull, and cut through to what really counts. WARNING: Negative Comments About a Character: SKYE I try not to do this, because I really hate ripping characters on this group. But this is not about me disliking a character so much as disliking a character's actions. And Skye's actions in all of this are abominable. I am not trying to incite a flame war here, and I'll certainly understand if people disagree with me. I just really, really, really want Tracy, Monica, somebody to expose Skyes selfish, ungrateful heart for what it really is. Alan took her in as his own daughter, turned his own flesh and blood out on the street rather than kick her away when he found out she wasn't his daughter. Alan worried about her, took her side, protected her against Lorenzo of all people. Alan was the only father she ever had, and he treated her very well. While watching the Skye scenes on ff last night, I'm talking to the screen saying, "Tracy spent three decades paying for the crime of withholding heart medication from a father who didn't need it to survive. Your father actually dies because you'd rather protect your mobster boyfriend (you know, the one who kidnapped you, held you against your will, and put your life and the life of your infant daughter at risk)! What do you think will happen to you?" And Fey says sullenly from the computer, "Not a G-D thing." And you know what? She's right. Skye might get a slap on the wrist and an Emmy reel out of her "guilt" over this, but everybody is going to forget that she plays as much a part in Alan's death as the other mobsters (the ones in the ski mask). I hope to GAWD she has better sense than to show up at his funeral with crocodile tears all over her flawless face. I hope to GAWD she does not play the Grieving Daughter card after all this. Because I'm really sure my television's picture tube could not handle the pressure of my hand going straight through it to Skye's throat. /end negativity Oh, what the heck? More negativity. Lulu? I've championed you. I've sung your praises as a complicated, funny, interesting character. Watched you with Alan yesterday. Go to the top of the list, Missy, and stay there until you redeem yourself. /end more negativity

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
More on the pic--I love Tracy/JE. She is the only character on that show who (when stuck in a hospital waiting room for hours) actually *LOOKS* like she's been stuck in a hospital waiting room for hours. Lipstick? Gone. Hair? Flat. Make-up? Non-existent. Clothes? Rumpled. Our girl is so REAL. *hugs Tracy* Can't wait to see the show tonight, and hopefully chat with some of you this evening.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Gawd, when Luke gets all grizzled and stuff, he totally reminds me of my dad. *rolls eyes* LOVE Tracy's body language. LMAO. Guys, I will be in the Break Room tonight around 6-ish Eastern time, if anybody wants to chat. BTW, a friend forwarded this to me, and it totally reminded me ot Tracy and Jane. (No offense to my female friends who are younger than 40.) As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why: A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, “What are you thinking?” She doesn’t care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn’t want to watch the game, she doesn’t sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it’s usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle o fan expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won’t hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it’s like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They’ll tell you right off that you are a jerk if you are acting like one. You don’t ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it’s not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say, “Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?”, here’s an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage. Andy Rooney, 60 Minutes Commentator

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
I want to see Monica-Tracy kick Skye to the curb. I really do. I mean, seriously, the Quartermaines protected her against Alcazar, and this is how it turns out? This is the way she goes? Tracy was right. The woman is no Quartermaine, and never will be. FINALLY, Edward is going to banish someone who really deserves it. ETA: My new avatar. "Lust Trigger" is stolen from Desperate Housewives. Bree's AA sponsor was also a member of Sexaholics Anonymous, and his sponsor (his SA sponsor) referred to Bree as a "Lust Trigger." Made me think of TQ. (Yeah, I made the Bree Van de Kamp Lust Trigger icon, too. But that belongs to Fey.)

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Hooked, congratulationson your 100th post. I totally love the Monica-Tracy-Skye spoiler. It's been a long time coming. I did some work on the AU story, guys. I'm writing a lot of it before sending out updates, just because I want to get through this tough part before sharing it. Tracy/Mary Lee is going to remember what happened to her.... And just a bit of sad news, sorta on topic. Singer-Actress Barbara McNair, who played Sister Irene in Change of Habit, passed away at age 72. She was the first black woman ever to have her own television variety show. She was awesome in CoH. RIP, Barbara.

The Tracy Quartermaine Lovefest
Wow, Lainey. I hadn't really looked at it this way. You're absolutely right about him giving her control in the marriage--maybe not the way they live their marital life, but whether or not they are going to end it. And yes, he did say that "first time in his life" bit, which would include Laura. I definitely hadn't looked at it that way. Although the wide eyes I took more as a "Ohmigod, what the hell do I do now" look, not a thrilled look. I think she was expecting a fight, a bunch of excuses, something from him that wasn't an affirmation of his committment to stay in their marriage. I think it swept the carpet out from under her.... I loved the "I'm a Spencer" line, too. I didn't see the thrilled or tickled, though. I saw more of a "how the hell did this happen?" Not really judgement, just a sort of quick realization that was more surface than indepth. I think Our Girl was a bit tipsy, and I think she's realizing this marriage is not a sham anymore. Think about it--she was Lady Ashton. She was Tracy Williams. She was Tracy Hornsby. But she's never called herself Tracy Spencer. I think it just really is starting to sink in that this is a real marriage and that she's...Tracy Spencer.... You are so right on the last points. seriously. They can't go back now, and I doubt seriously that TG is going to settle for much more stalling or backsliding. I think he's ready to put the nail in the coffin, and I think LuNacy is going to be a reality people are going to have to deal with. Of course, a "real marriage" in soaps usually means angst, trauma, misery, and sadness. Hey, as long as Lainey gets her Mad Hot Monkey Sex, nobody at GH is gonna get hurt, right?
