Speaking for myself, I came out to my family in the early 80s and no one cared at all. Not my Dad, Mom, siblings, Grandparents, no one. I couldn't believe how easy it was. I do realize I am lucky. My point is, it's not unrealistic for family members just embrace their gay family members. Personally, I'm hoping Bill doesn't make a big deal out of it.

I agree. Most folks on this board are old school soap fans, but when I read comments about the show on other sites they think the stories are taking too long. A lot obviously new to daytime TV. The show needs to find a good medium.
