  1. I saw this and thought that it was a C+ pilot at best and didn't deserve the label critically acclaimed.  I seriously have no idea what the critics saw in this other than a desperate need for a non-supernatural teen show or they lowered their standards for this type of show.

Did Berlanti see the Funny or Die Edgy Archie and not get the joke or did he just want to have an alternate universe Archie fanfic come to life?

I had my problems with it, but there was enough good for me see if it improves.

  2. He looks good when he's in solo shots, but when he's next to Mehcad Brooks he looks tiny.  It looks strange seeing a Superman who can get his assed kicked by Jimmy(or James) Olsen.  He still looks too young, no amount of saying Kryptonians age slower than human will make me say otherwise.  I'm still baffled that he was giving this role without having to audition for it, Tyler Hoechlin is not that good of an actor.

  3. They said 2 are definitely not going to happen, but most of them seem pretty questionable....I wouldn't mind honestly a Theo spinoff as overwhelming the character got for me, Cody is a decent enough actor to carry his own show.....the one called "Beacon Hills" with Liam,Hayden,Mason and Corey seems like it would essentially be TW 2,0. I can't imagine a spin off of Argent and Peter Hale happening..or that one about Brett's character....sorry, no way.....as for Sprayberry, he's not the best actor, but I wonder if that would change if he led his own show.

This list seems like utter bullshit to me.  If there was a spinoff in the works we would have heard something from a more well known publication.  The Beacon Hills one would have just been TW season 7.  In all fairness to Sprayberry, Posey isn't the best actor either, especially in season 1.  In fact, outside of maybe of DOB, none of the main cast are the best actors, but they were fortunate to get good writing, which Sprayberry won't get.

and yes while I'm looking forward to S6 it does look like it will have all those S3-S5 elements that didn't always work....though Posey said it's supposedly not gonna be as confusing as some of the other seasons were to follow..

They probably think fans were confused by the story because they weren't smart enough to get their writing as opposed to it making no sense.  I'm still annoyed by how they handled the bezerkers and La Loba legends.  It's to believe things will be simpler when they have a nazi werewolf, the wild hunt, and the storyline is going to be nonlinear.

Corey really annoyed me more then he probably should of TBH, I guess originally being one of Theo's resurrected chimeras and worshiping him like a hero and attempting to be evil and sneaky towards Scott's pack was a little too much....I also wish we would have gotten some sort of scene at the end of 5B where Corey acknowledge Scott being the hero of everything even if he didn't seem that way towards him in 5A  when he dug his claws into Corey's memories.....I'm almost worried that Corey in S6 will still view Scott as some sort of villain, that when Theo returns he will be overly ecstatic for some reason, which wouldn't make sense considering Theo was probably gonna kill Corey too at some point.

Corey really didn't get that much development, especially considered to other love interest Hayden.  His relationship with Mason happened pretty fast.  I'm okay with Corey not acknowledging Scott as the hero of everything, because he gets way more credit for things than he deserves.  I think Corey will be loyal to Scott because that's what happens to everyone after a while.  Apparently Theo's getting a redemption arc, so ugh.

Did you hear Posey "coming out" and the drama that came out of it.

  4. I think 6 is a good way to end it, before it got too out of hand, and now unless there is a spinoff (which I heard is in the works for MTV) they won't have to rely on the 2.0 stuff they said they'd probably do...

What spinoff would that be?  The only ones I think they'd do would be with Kira, but Mtv made it clear they wanted nothing to do with Arden.  Or would it be with the Argents in the past?  I might even assume a Liam spinoff, but Sprayberry has looked done with this show since he got there (or he may just be his natural expression).

I think I will always love Season 1 the most, I always find the show entertaining, but plot wise it's where it loses it's way. 1&2 were the most campy,(and fun)  Season 3 (B) changed the tone entirely, Season 4 I think tried to bring the campiness of 1&2 back, but it was a mess overall, I did enjoy 5, but the show's new obsession with Cody/Theo really overwhelmed me, and I'm already worried they are gonna hype up that Nazi werewolf villain from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles this coming season...

I agree about seasons 1 and 2, but I think season 3a is where they tried to be darker and edgier but fell apart at the end.  I thought the fanbase had more of obsession with Cody/Theo than the show itself did.  Season 6 seems like it will have the same problems as seasons 3-5, in that they try to do too much.

It's all JD's fault, for even leading the fan on....I will never get whether it's a network thing or not, how any gay showrunner never allows a gay/lesbian couple to take the spotlight. I wouldn't want Sterek, but he missed out on 5 opportunities to develop his gay pairings......though it's funny how Corey and Mason seem to be getting more airtime  then Ethan and Danny did.

Corey and Mason may get more screentime, but their development isn't really any better especially Corey who just screams token.

  5. They revealed during the SDCC panel, that Season 6 will be the last season...

I never thought I'd say this, but good. The first two seasons were the best, then 3 and 4 were pretty flawed but had enough to be enjoyable, and season 5(5b in particular) was just terrible, with little to enjoy about the season.  If Liam had not insufferable in season 5 and if I didn't hate his love interest, I would have been open to seeing him and Mason as the new leads.

    haha no problem! :)

Sterek.....one thing I'm glad will officially never be canon, if no  other reason then things just got too out of hand....and awkward when you had Hoechlin himself say, it was just a group of passionate fans, and Posey just completely shunned the whole thing and the fans who supported it.....

IDK, maybe I'm just bitter cause I'm extremely shy, and admit have a hard time allowing new people into my life right off the bat, but I sometimes have gotten annoyed at how close the cast has always been....only because I feel like it usually is rarely like that with any workplace, especially on soaps. Even if the cast is not too big which would make it easier to know and befriend your co stars, it's just a little odd, we have never heard at least One rambling of some sort of petty grudge between actors on that set.....even if the Stans try to point some out.....one recent hilarious one, was someone saying how Posey is jealous over Cody Christian and Sprayberry getting closer, and during interviews Cody kept making faces and did those stupid gestures at Sprayberry which is what Posey is known for.....

Even Sterek stans are glad they never became canon, because romances have always been one this show's Achilles heel.  The was they handled the Sterek fandom got out of hand, but that's the pitfalls of pandering to a certain section of your fandom.

Now and days it seems that shows that are dependent on fandoms (sci-fi, fantasy, teen shows) like to portray their casts as one big family so fans can gush over them on tumblr and other social media sites.  I'm sure someone will do a tell all book about the shenanigans that happened on this show.

  6. I usually ignore all that Stan nonsense as most of those people are probably still in school at least, but it's just hilarious how they have to gush and start getting so overly graphic about everything....this is why (not to get off topic) as much as I will kind of miss TW, I'm glad this is the last season....

Hoechlin is probably always gonna get hired based on his looks.....he apparently had a terrible audition for TW, but was still cast.......again, he's not the worst, but I just get annoyed with "oh he/she is pretty lets cast them, and they will just wing it..." and yes that's an old Bill Bell casting troupe, ( not that I believe that's always been true) but it just sucks how these days there is never proper directors to give people like Hoechlin the proper acting technique...

I honestly do believe him being in "Everybody wants Some" (which was such a WTF movie btw) with Blake Jenner is the reason they even thought of him.

Actually a vast majority of Hoechlin's stans are gay men and women in their mid 20s to early 30s.  Sterek was probably the best thing to happen to his career.

While his TW audition was awful apparently he got cast because the casting directors noticed he had chemistry with Posey and Obrien.

I'm putting my response in the TW thread because I didn't want to crowd the Supergirl thread with Hoechlin talk.

  7. LOL....wanna know what I always love, even if it's a little harsh, that everyone on here is so blunt and honest about how weird he looks, compared to the annoying tumblr stans who always over hype everything..."OMG HE'S SO F**KING HOT!!!"....

Oh God, the Hoechlin stans are already annoying me so I shudder to think what will happen when this airs.  I fully expect to see manips of Superman!Hoechlin with Dylan O'brien as Louis.

The powers that be seem to be high( a little to high if you ask me) on him.  Allegedly he didn't have to audition for the role.

  8. No it's not BS. This is from Greg Berlanti HIMSELF

    http://variety.com/2015/tv/news/greg-berlanti-supergirl-the-flash-the-cw-cbs-1201499698/

(Despite the rumor mill, Berlanti says there was never a chance of the show moving to the CW. Plus, he adds, “We would never have been able to afford the kind of budget we have.”)

that was last year, a lot can change in a year

The CW renewed every show this year, even Legends of Tomorrow which was suppose to be so expensive that people thought it might last a season.  If they do move to the CW they would probably recast or get rid of Cat Grant.

  9. I'm not gonna lie, but I think they missed a good chance to make Derek gay/bi, he always had such a stalkerish vibe with Jackson in S1&2, and I think something could have happen there.

It's funny that Sterek became the huge slash ship because I thought there was more sexual tension with Derek/Jackson than there was with Sterek.  Other than that Derek never came across as someone who would have interest in men, tbh he came across as more asexual than anything else.  Apparently Jeff said he left hints that Stiles might be bi, but that never came to fruition.  It might have been for the best because there would have been hissy fits if Stiles was bi and they didn't do Sterek.

Back to Colton, good for him for coming out.  Like Carl said, this was basically like an open secret, except to me since my gaydar is horrible.

  10. I didn't know Dylan Sprayberry was dating Joey King until recently. Wonder if he'll pop up on Y&R or if Hunter and or Camryn show up on Teen Wolf

I'm kinda shocked Joey or Hunter haven't popped up on Teen Wolf yet.

Allegedly Cody Christian was suppose to be on season 6 but than he wasn't.  Somepeople speculated it could have been budget reasons.

I liked Tracey because she reminded me of a female Isaac.

Sorry for the quotes thing, I was trying to get a single quote instead of the nesting quotes.

  11. Theo would have been better off being in a separate season because at the end of it all he and his chimera pack were such a filler villains and a waste time.  It seems like the only reason we got the chimeras is so they could introduce Corey and Hayden and neither one of them is worth all that hassle.  This season illustrated the pacing and plotting issues this show has.

Sprayberry has his flaws (he can't do intimidating all that well and less said about the Layden stuff) but he does okay for the most part.  If he had season 1 or 2 quality writing he wouldn't be any worse than Tyler Posey was back than.

It's been less homoerotic since season 4.

Speaking of Jeff Davis and his hard ons.  Ever since season 5, all new male characters look like each other or like another person on the show.

  12. I hated that Liam was willing to kill Scott over a girl he'd only been dating for a week (I didn't help that said girl hated him for 4 years over an accident.) and I don't think that the supermoon or Theo's machinations had much to do with it.  So basically he just came across as a huge brat to me.  It didn't help that it felt like he was separated from the rest of the pack and Mason(to an extent) while dealing with Hayden.  In "Required Reading"  the pack were reading The Dread Doctors book, except for him because the writers thought it was more important to have him deal with Hayden than to show him with the pack.  Mason came across more of a member of the pack than Liam did.  I felt like any characteristic that Liam did have were wiped away so he could be a bland romantic lead.

  13. 7 will most likely be it....but I wonder if they really will lean towards the 2.0 stuff with Liam as the main character....

I think they may try in season 7, but will ultimately fail.  In season 4 I was willing to give a Liam/Mason new generation a try because I did like their characters but than season 5 happened.  Mason came out okay but the Layden romance botched Liam's character for me.

  14. Yeah this show is going down the tubes....I sort of already has, but I will be surprise if they get a S7...

As bad as the quality and the ratings have gone down this show is still Mtv's highest rated scripted show.  Unless they don't think this show can continue without Dylan O'brien or another scripted show performs well enough I think this show gets a 7th season out of desperation.

  15. I think her departure was already explained when she went off with the skinwalkers.  I could see them leaving Scott alone, like they did in 3a.

If Stydia does happen it'll probably be only out of desperation by Jeff Davis.

  16. I like Kira and Arden, but it was obvious they had no idea what to do with her after 3b.  Scott doesn't need a romantic interest as there are other storylines to give him.

If there is a Teen Wolf 2.0 Mason/Corey has to be main couple because Liam/Hayden are awful and I just find Hayden to be an annoying character.

  17. wow.....It was only a matter of time as I always thought he had that "look" like he can could be on TW....LOL I wonder if he's gonna be related to anyone?

I swear Hunter King will not be too far behind as apparently she and her little sister are big fans....

gosh way too much crazy news today and to top it all off, I just got my new classic Y&R dvds today! LOL

Here's more information about the part he's going to play http://www.mtv.com/news/2728224/teen-wolf-argent-ancestors/

This is days old but, Charlie Carver came out.

  18. The only thing, is that it felt weird seeing Liam at a night club like that.....I know he was there for Mason, but Dylan S. is still such a baby in my book....

It was weirder that Liam's 16 year olf love interest works at that bar serving alcohol. The actress looks like that age unlike the other girls on this show.

  19. I'm okay with Michelle not beging in it, once her character hit school age she became unbearable.

Doesn't Lori Loughlin star on some Hallmark channel show?

"Quite an appetite for Danny" WTF

There's an ass eating joke in here somewhere.

  20. Do I wanna tune in for another season of Shelly Hennig's horrible acting as shoved down my throat Malia?

For all that screentime she got last season, most of it was frivilous. They practically did nothing with Peter being her father and she didn't seem to care that she found out the man she assumed was her father wasn't. Her school troubles were played up as a joke. She could have been an great ( I feel like I say that about everyone) but the writers thought it would be boring to write her as she should have been.

Character storylines for the season: http://www.spoilertv.com/2015/05/teen-wolf-season-5-press-release-and.html

I already heard about the male cast immaturity so it's no surprise. Arden handled better than I would.

  21. Why is Scott having a hard time letting Theo in his pack? He easily accepted Kira,Malia, and Isaac into the pack. The only people he's ever mistrusted were Derek and the twins.

This doctors plot screams benefactor 2.0 to me. It seems like they're not going to address any lose ends from previous seasons other than the desert wolf.

Apparently Lydia is going to have secret fighting skills that she has hidden from the rest of the pack.
