  1. Floved the free episode. Wish it was included in the dvd set. Gawd....did I have a crush on Greg Marx and Breck Jamison who played Jay...mmmmmm....great to see him on the episode. So many great vets on that one show. How I missed those days on ATWT at the end. I wish the set would have been a 20 set. I hadnt forgotten what that whole mess with Lisa was and that actor Cyer I think is his name who had a gun to Lisa at the party. And Lyndsay Frost...love me some her.....I love how they tried to make her look like Meg Ryan with the short hair. I prefered her with her long hair later in the years. I see SBH was HW of the show. ATWT had some great years in the 80s that I loved even before Marland came in.

I felt slightly confused for a moment watching the episode. Mark Pinter and Gregg Marx looked so much alike I mistook them for each other. tongue.png

  2. Oh Wow I didnt realize this...thanks for the info John.

Now that you told me that it got me thinking how long the character of Brooke would've remained around had SDR permanently taken over the role??

At the very least I don't think Brooke would have dominated the show the way she has. A major part of her appeal is down to KKL. She somehow manages to make Brooke sympathetic despite the often horrendous writing for her.

  3. Sandra Ferguson (ex-Amanda, AW) also subbed for KKL on B&B as well.

I remember this well. It was during the story where Rick had shot Grant and Ridge took the blame to protect him. Sandra played the role when Brooke found out the truth which lessened the emotional impact, at least for me. I just couldn't connect with her as Brooke, and it was such a relief when KKL came back!

  4. LOL...she has been looking good as of late. She is one of my favorites. I really dont care for the women's tour. The players are just so blah except for a few like Stosur, Kim and Serena.

I hope Sam Stosur has a good tournament. I've had a soft spot for Australians since the days of Pat Rafter. wub.png

I had high hopes for Alicia Molik, but sadly her career was ruined by illness. sad.png

  5. If I dare broach to a hard-core Gaga fan that she is mimicking Madonna.. I get looks of how dare I compare Gaga to that inferior creature..

Does anyone really think that Madonna is inferior to Lady Gaga??!!:lol::lol:

They need a reality check if that's the case. Lady Gaga is nowhere near Madonna in any way.

  6. To add, it's always interested me how they always kept Matt apart of the Sugden family after Peggy died and he moved on with Dolly. You'd never see that nowadays.

They did the same in a way with Kathy. She always had a special bond with the Sugden family long after Jackie died and she had re-married several times.

  7. It's pissed me off A LOT lately when I read on the boards that ATWT and its actors shouldn't have submitted themselves for 2011.

Why shouldn't they? They deserve to be recognized for the wonderful work they did, and if there's any justice they will be rewarded for it. At the very least Colleen Zenk should get an Emmy. I dare anyone to find someone more worthy of it than her. She was the brightest of all the shining stars on the show the final year.

  8. Characters I Bring Back

    - Nathan , Shadrach , Daz , Jasmine , Robert , Donna , Matthew , Shane , Jack , Tom , Sadie , Zoe , Seth , Kim , Amos & Joe

Shadrach, Jack, Tom (I assume you mean Tom King), Seth and Joe are all dead, and the actor who portrayed Amos (Ronald Magill) is dead in real life.
