I hate to do this, but Episode 285 is going to be delayed a little.

I have had so much to do all day today. And I'm actually walking out the door to do more...but have no fear!

Episode 285 will be up an hour or so after midnight tonight. And I promise, this episode will be well worth the wait!!

Fans may be worried about the absence of Ben and Jessica and Jack and Carly. A few may even have concerns about Tom and Margo. But have no fear. All the actors are still on contract status and should begin resurfacing by the end of the month.

Though Peyton List was only supposed to reprise the role of Lucy on a short-term basis, the powers that be are re-thinking the tenure of List's stay.

Rumor has it that the fan fiction has two top secret returns to the show. "Top secret?", you may ask. Well, think of it like the bombshell surprise return of Hunter Tylo to B&B back in 2005. It's kind of like that.

Two actors are going home sometime in November. These two actors' departure dates have been set back time and time again, but this time, the decision is final.

Agim Kaba and Jessica Dunphy ride off into the sunset again on October 26, but don't rule out any future returns just yet. Perhaps the next return could be a little more lengthly.

A name for Dusty and Meg's baby has been chosen. At least, that's what insiders are saying. And also according to them, the name is a nice tribute to ATWT history.

Setside sources are saying that more new characters are coming, but other sources say that half of the new characters that have been brought onto the show since its creation in December of 2005 might be out the door by year's end.

    Episodes 123-127
    June 12, 2006-June 16, 2006

James immediately took Lily hostage and refused to let her mother go. She made a plea to James saying that if he let her mother go, she would hand herself over to him. Just then, Holden emerged and pulled a gun on James. Lucinda ran for the door and distracted James's attention. Lily broke free and Holden continued holding James at gunpoint. As the two women shared a brief reunion outside, they also feared for Holden's life. James tried to talk Holden down, but when he was unable to, James lunged for the gun and a shot rang out. Holden shared a joyous reunion with Lucinda and Lily and the three of them headed home. Meanwhile, paramedics arrived and took James to a hospital. Sierra welcomed them with open arms. Worldwide slowly regained investors and Stenbeck International went down the drain with no-one to run it. Everyone received word that James was in a coma and things don't look good for him. Relieved, Holden and Lily made vacation plans, since the past year had left them no time to relax. Lucinda, Luke, and Sierra all bid Holden and Lily farewell as they boarded an around-the-world cruise. Barbara contacted Cass about an anullment from James, which he agreed to look into.

Luke and Heath traded punches and insults. Luke told Heath that he would never amount to anything in life, which hit Heath hard. Maddie stopped the madness and politely told Heath to stay away from Luke, which he wrongly thought meant her, too. Later, while Luke and Maddie partied the night away at a friend's house...they got a call from Heath's parents saying that Heath took a bunch of sleeping pills and though he's being taken to Memorial, he might not make it.

Jennifer and Nick arrive to find that Gwen has done the unthinkable! She has brought some of Jennifer's modeling friends from Milan for the photo shoot for the ad campaign. One of then named Cherry encourages Jennifer to go with her heart and be happy with Nick. Meanwhile, Emily arrives with Andy and the photo shoot starts. Cherry cools down Jennifer and tells her that from past experience, people find love in odd places and maybe Emily is the one for Andy. Jennifer decides that holding grudges is what makes a person bitter and empty and surprisingly thanks Emily for coming. She begs Emily to let their past be their past and also asks Emily to take good care of Andy.

After the photo shoot, Emily sees John and Andy notices Emily's odd behavior and calls her on it, bluntly asking if John has said something to Emily to change her opinion on their blossoming romance.

Bob is intrigued with Hal's new clean bill of health and asks Susan all sorts of medical questions. He notices her strange behavior and calls her on it. Later, he finds an empty drug container and finds out that Hal's I.V. bag had traces of the drug left in it. Bob cornered Susan and suspended her from Oakdale Memorial just as Hal, newly discharged, walked through the hospital hallway headed home.

Alone, Dusty regretted ever sleeping with Lucy.

Kim revealed herself to Henry and offered her ear. She told him that what he did was inspiring, but he went about it the wrong way. Henry believed that Kim thought he was a failure, but was later elated when Kim asked Henry to be her new Prgram Director at WOAK. Nancy later applauded Kim on reaching out to Henry and helping him find his way in the world.

Tom helped Roxie out of the wreckage and took her to the police station, where little di she know, Nadine had been called in when the police, after searching her car, found some tools she had used to cut Roxie's brake lines. While Roxie and Nadine had a face-off in the police station, Tom did some research on Margo's computer and something surprising caught his eye.

Will and Gwen were finally relieved to receive word from Cass that Will's trust fund had finally been released to him. Later, Gwen recived word from Carly that Jack was doing noticeably better and they would be headed home to Oakdale soon.

Just in case you were wondering, Saundra Santiago (ex-Carmen, GL) has been playing the part of "Leah", Margo's cell mate at The Children Of Promise house. "Leah" first aired about a week and half ago, so you must be wondering why no official announcement was made sooner. Says Executive Producer/Headwriter Dusty Alford, "I'm a nitwit and forgot."

Santiago's short-term stint should wrap up towards the end of May.

    Craig and Lyla Return!

The World of Oakdale recently dropped two huge casting bombshells on its Halloween episode. The returns of Craig Montgomery and Lyla Peretti were two casting returns that were definitely kept tight under wraps for a while. Says TWOO HW/EP Dusty Alford, "We wanted the readers to be left breathless after the Halloween episode and I think we achieved that with the returns of Craig and Lyla".

Block, who left the role of Craig back in 2005, was more than happy to return to the show. While Alford contemplated bringing current Craig Montgomery on "ATWT" aboard (Jeffrey Meek), it was Block's indescribale talents that made the decision a rather easy one. However, don't expect for Craig to be kidnapping his daughter or switching babies so that he can raise his biological child from a one night stand with his ex-stepdaughter any time soon. "While I love Hogan, I think the biggest mistake he made was making Craig a villain," says Alford. "I mean, yes, he is a force to be reckoned with, but nothing like they protrayed him on 'ATWT' ".

As for Sward, the actress hasn't been on the show since 2000 when she tried to convince her youngest daughter to end her marriage to Simon Frasier. Since then, Sward has been relaxing. But when TPTB came calling, Sward was immediately all ears. "I just loved the story and I adore Terri [Colombino, "Katie"] and Ellen [Dolan, "Margo"], so it feels right to be back," says Sward.

While Block has inked a contract with the show, Sward will only be recurring...for now.

John lectures Emily on trying to drink everything away. Emily grieve the loss of her relationship with Andy and begs John to leave her alone. John refuses and offers to drive Emily home. All the way home, she talks of how she always finds a way of messing up everything in her life. Emily's shocked when they pull in and Andy's waiting at Susan's front door.

Carly tells Jack of talking with the man that could help Emma, but he's in Costa Rica on vacation and won't be back until the first week of September. Jack remembers that the bank gave Emma until the end of the month and tells Carly that they don't have that long. Carly calls the man again and tells Mr. Hamilton to hurry up.

Meg immediately wants to know why Dusty is over at Lucinda's. Dusty explains that Meg needs to sit down for this one. Dusty yells for her as she drives away.

Autumn is a season of change. So much can also be said about The World Of Oakdale. After this autumn, nothing will ever be the same.

The World Of Oakdale: 2006 Fall Previews

    The Hughes Family:
This family has definitely taken a backburner in the past few months. But this fall, the Hughes family will soon find their household in chaos thanks to a runaway teen. And that's not all. That same runaway teen has familial connections to someone living in Oakdale.

    Andy/Emily:
Andy and Emily have come through alot, but after this next stunt, Emily may not want a relationship with Andy...ever. "She's certainly apalled by Andy's actions. She's never seen that side of him before," laments Scott DeFreitas [Andy]. What exactly does Andy do that's so unforgiveable? Stay tuned.

    Lily/Holden/Lucinda/Sierra/Worldwide
This storyline has really taken a backburner, too. But with Holden and Lily's return from their cruise and with Lucinda announcing the re-launch of her company, Worldwide....things get a bit complicated. Holden finds himself in the middle of a battle that could end in heartbreak. How will he handle it? And a surprise return at the re-launch party causes even more havoc.

    Meg/Dusty/Lucy:
This storyline will soon be wrapping up...and in a shocking way. Will the marriage ever happen? Of course. "They love each other terribly," says Meg Wilson [Meg]. "But they have alot to overcome before they can get married." Plus, a surprise return at the wedding just might stop it from even happening.

    The Teen Scene:
As this storyline wraps up, look for the teens to take a back seat for a while, so the show can focus on more stories. One couple will face the ultimate test of love when an intruder causes chaos in their love life...forming what we in the soap community would like to call "a love triangle".

    Emma/Grant/Lisa/Susan:
Yet another love triangle. While Emma battles her feelings for Grant and tries to identify just what kind of feelings they are, Grant will soon catch the eye of Oakdale's resident Liz Taylor, Lisa Miller Grimaldi. Also expect Susan to join the fold of ladies lusting after Mr. Hamilton in late Autumn. "Suffice to say that Mr. Hamilton is quite the ladies' man," chuckles Jerry Douglas [Grant]. Also, expect a resolution to the story of Emma losing her farm.

    Roxie/Gwen/Barbara/Insteenct:
Gwen finally realizes who has her designs. But she won't be getting revenge anytime soon. "She knows. But for fear of losing her job, doesn't say anything," says Jennifer Landon [Gwen]. However, Barbara soon realizes that Roxie didn't do those designs. And that is when the claws will come out.

    Carly/Jack:
This couple was promised a meaty storyline upon return from their hiatus, but fans will just have to wait a bit longer. "I have so many stories going on that I don't have the time or the effort to write this story. Not as much as I would like," laments Executive Producer and Headwriter Dusty Alford. "Look for their story to jump start sometime at the beginning of the year." As for now, Carly will continue being a shoulder to lean on for her sister Gwen and Jack will continue hutning down bad guys.

    Katie/Mike/Jason/Henry:
This is a love story that's never been told before. Mike recruits some of Katie's closet friends to help him plan the perfect surprise wedding for his bride-to-be. But don't expect Katie to just sit there and wonder what's going on behind her back. Mark Collier [Mike] laughs, "Katie will be snooping around every corner, wanting to find out what they're doing. After all, snooping is what Katie does best."

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    RUMORS:

Look for two actors to leave the show in early October.

Is there any chance Jessica Dunphy [Alison] and Agim Kaba [Aaron] will stick around town? According to sources, their short-term return could turn into a contract if the fans react well.

Wedding bells will soon be ringing. And sources say the writers are pulling out all the stops to make this the most memorable wedding that Oakdale has ever seen.

Any rumors about Spencer Grammer coming abaord the show have finally been put to rest. "Spencer is a very talented actress, but there's simply no room for her on the canvas right now," explains Executive Producer and Headwriter Dusty Alford. "Maybe sometime in the future we might bring her on, but not for the forseeable future.

And lastly, online speculation says that Episode 200 will be a scripted show.

Lyla comes on stage and starts to sing. Halfway through her number, she becomes weak and faints. Lisa rushes on stage and is finally able to get Lyla to come to. At the hospital, the doctor assures Margo that Lyla's fainting is not from another illness. Still, he continues, Lyla's health is slowly deteriorating and Lyla refuses to seek treatment. Katie clings to Margo as the two women look in at their mother.

Alison meets Emily at the Lakeview for lunch and tells Emily that appreciates Dusty, but he doesn't need to constantly protect her. She can take care of herself. Emily asks how Alison is doing in school and Alison remarks that she's broke. Emily gets a great idea and tells Alison that she's been needing a columnist. Emily thinks that the two of them working together could bring them closer and eventually, Alison agrees. Later, Susan shares her concerns about them working together, telling Alison that she's not so sure (with Dusty looking for Alison's stalker) that Emily's feelings of betrayal towards herself and Dusty won't re-surface.

Paul sits down at Al's and thanks Rosanna for meeting him. Rosanna shows Paul a medical sheet and Paul seems surprised. Paul says that he remembers Meg wanting to make love to him, and didn't seem fazed when Paul declared he didn't have a condom. Rosanna concludes that that must have been when she conceived. Paul apologizes to Rosanna and says that he was right all along. He can't imagine Meg being so desperate to hold on to him that she would go to such great lengths. Rosanna and Paul make a plan to catch Meg.

Bob tells Kim about Paul and Will's idea and Kim thinks it's a swell idea. However, when Bob brings up possibly working with Susan on the project to restore the hospital's diminishing image, Kim hates the idea. Bob also tells Kim that he's going back to work. Kim thinks it's too soon and shares her doubts with Lisa over the phone. Bob overhears Kim's doubts and tells her that he's fine and can handle being at work again.

Lily comes home and sees that Holden has gotten a babysitter for the kids and prepared a romantic candlelight dinner. The two bond over a romantic meal and later bask in the glow of candles in their bedroom. Lily says they've come along way from when she used to think "that stable boy" had "an attitude". Holden laughs and tells Lily that his world would stop turning without her.

Margo tells Lyla that she shouldn't scare them like that anymore. Casey comes by and asks for some time alone with Lyla, which peaks Margo's interest. Casey tells Lyla that he's thought about her advice to get his life back on track and thanks her. Lyla talks of how proud she is, but Casey tells her that she wouldn't have time to be proud had it not been for Lisa's quick thinking. Lyla assures Casey she's fine and asks Casey to keep her fainting spell the other day a secret. She doesn't want the girls to know that this has been happening for a while. Little does she know, Margo hears every word.

Carrie introduces herself to Carly and the two quickly start to work. It's not long before the two start to differ on a design for a new stage. Carly tells Lily that Carrie's blueprints are all scattered and she thinks she's too young for the job. Lily insists that Carrie has adequate credentials. Later, Carly returns him and Jack tells her that he's moving back to Emma's farm. Carly acts like it doesn't upset her, but when the two of them tells the kids, Jack notices Carly's demeanor. He calls her on being upset, but Carly denies it.

Kim's startled by a knock at the door. Bob offers to get it, almost sure it's Susan. However, it's Katie. Katie whines to Kim that Lily fired her on a day she was having some personal problems and now, Lily refuses to give her her job back. Kim promises to talk to Lily about it and see what she can do. A few hours later, Paul and Will arrive to talk to Bob. They suggest opening a cancer center at Memorial so Barbara won't have to continually travel in her fragile state to seek treatment. Bob likes the idea and although he's on leave, he promises to give the idea to the board soon.

Paul returns home and sees Meg is in better spirits. When Meg starts to talk about babies again, Paul tells Meg that maybe her miscarriage was a sign that they're not ready for children. Meg barks back that maybe her miscarriage is a sign that Rosanna's jealous and wants Paul to herself. Meg goes to run a quick errand, and while she's out, Paul starts thinking of Meg's pregnancy. Suddenly, he remembers something and makes a call, asking someone to meet him.

Luke comes home and finds Noah pacing the floor. Noah, ridden with guilt still, tells Luke that they need to talk. Noah starts off that he and Luke have been through alot together, but when Luke starts gloating about their "perfect" love, Noah changes the subject. Luke, thinking it's a bit strange, calls him on it, but Noah insists that he just wanted Luke to know how much he loves him.

It's a new day in Oakdale as everyone gathers at Luthers Corners Church to celebrate Dusty and Meg's wedding.

Grant continues to bring up the night he and Emma slept together, but Emma tells him that the only way she wants him is his help in getting her farm back. He's floored when he notices an elegantly dressed, sophistiacted woman walk in the church. It's obvious his mind is somewhere else. Meanwhile, Lisa has no idea she is being "checked out" by a doe-eyed Grant.

Barbara tells Roxie that she doesn't have time for this and tells Roxie to get a life...even after Barbara told her to get lost last night. Roxie chases after her and begs Barbara for another chance. Barbara explains that Roxie has no idea what she's in for when she starts messing with Barbara Ryan. Roxie seethes as Barbara drives off.

Aaron and Alison get a warm reception from all the Oakdaleians that they haven't seen in a while. Alison gets word from Nancy that Katie is missing and Alison worries for her friend's safety. Later, Nancy is flabbergasted when Bob and Kim bring Erin to the wedding.

Meg has a heart to heart with Dusty...through a closed door, of course...at a superstitious Meg's request. Meg tells of how she got word from a doctor back home that she and Josh could have children and that there must have been some medical mix up for the doctor to tell her she could never have children. Dusty realizes that this baby is a miracle and calms Meg's anciness about getting married, though he has some nerves of his own.

JERRY DOUGLAS: NOT TOO 'YOUNG' FOR 'WORLD'

Former Y&R star Jerry Douglas has been keeping a secret for quite some time now. Before his time at 'Y&R' ever expired, he had been contacted by the powers that be at The World Of Oakdale to portray a brand new role created especially with him in mind.

    And he accepted.

"I'm really looking forward to this. I've heard alot of great things about the direction the show is headed and I'm just glad to be a part of it," says Douglas. Executive Producer and Headwriter Dusty Alford also was thrilled when Douglas accepted. "Basically, if he couldn't do it, we weren't going to even bring the character on. Jerry is phenomenal in front of a camera and I wanted to get that same charisma and bring it to 'The World Of Oakdale'," says Alford. "And thank goodness he said 'yes' ".

Douglas will be portraying the newly created role of Grant Hamilton, a wealthy financier from New York who comes to town to help Emma Snyder get her farm back.

According to sources, Douglas's first day on set was at the beginning of the month so look for "Mr. Grant Hamitlon" to appear in Oakdale any day now. Maybe even this coming week.
