With Somerset approaching the end of two months of episodes on the air, there will be some new additions to the canvas, one temporary and two permanent.

"While sorting through story ideas for Somerset, I got an idea of the perfect person Jack could consult for the X Project," Somerset creator and headwriter Steve Ungrey said. "It's a character who has been on the canvas before on the original Somerset, with the same actor playing the role. I think people will be extremely happy with the choice made here given the history of the show."

This character's return will also tie in to another character's appearance on the canvas, with a name soap actor playing this role as well.

Finally, to up Somerset's bitchy quotient, look for the casting of someone with ties to Somerset's past as well. The identity of this actress?

"Let's just say I'm keeping it a secret," Ungrey laughed. "But she's the last person you'd expect to play a role like this."

All three characters will be in place within the next couple months. In the meantime, Episodes 39 and 40 will be in place shortly. --SONBC
