Not with Trump's numbers, not with his negatives and not with how he is already wriggling like a worm on a hook every day, every week post-primary. I heard this same stuff about Romney - 'oh, he's too slick, he's a businessman, Obama is too passive, the country is so divided, if Obama wins it'll be real close.' Obama dismantled him and was done with him before 11 PM Eastern on election night. And Romney was far more viable than Donald Trump. I'm tired of this frame where we insist the ignorant bigot or the right-wing slickster can always win by a rout at any given moment, but the liberal or progressive candidate can only ever barely eke out a win because the narrative is that America is too polluted to know better. It's self-defeating, it's depressive for turnout and for our own base, and it has been consistently proven wrong for the past eight years, at least at the presidential level. I probably would be more outraged if Wikileaks didn't link themselves to Breitbart and that Twitter troll Milo Yiannopoulos. It is appropriate and right that Wasserman-Schultz step down as well as any staffers who were behind this 'brain-storming'. OTOH, I recognize that is is realistic that the DNC did not want to back a candidate that is not a Democrat, yet used the Democratic apparatus, while also calling them corrupt- who promised to raise money for other candidates yet did very little to help all but 1 or 2 'down-ticket' candidates. It's all politics, even from the machinations of the Sanders side- no one is pure in this. Anyhoo, John Oliver's take on the 2016 RNC and no one is spared. He refers to Antonio Sabato Jr. as "IMBD awarded actor"

over 100 million people voted 4 years ago. if some IMPO think what MSNBC, CNN and that other network has to say about polls and how close the race is...they are doing themselves a disservice. 4 years ago, Romney was up by 6 points in the polls the day before election day...and Obama won by almost 4 million votes.

Ratings. The American cable 'news' channels have given up all pretence of being journalists practicing journalism and have whored themselves for ad revenue which equals ratings which equals money. CNN, MSNBC and That Other Network helped the rise of this jerk while only the net newsites were truly fact checking him and Clinton. these three channels didn't even cover anything really negative about Trump until he called a reporter a 'sleaze' at that infamous Trump U. press conference....so his bigotry, lies, racism and sexism were cool until he said something about reporters...and THEN they got offended. anyone watch Morning Joe? How many times have they not either brought up something or defended his God-awful behavior until he banned WaPo and went off on that reporter? Now they take every chance to just rip him to shreds.

For me.....it's a blast watching this party finally destroy itself. so hopefully it can be rebuilt from the ground up with some centrists who will work with the Dems (why actually give a damn about us) and get some true legislation done that will help raise wages, get people out of poverty, help our vets and rebuild our public school system.

you know, all the media is being lumped in together. but, IMO, CNN, MSNBC & FN are mostly responsible for this jerk rising into national prominence. how many months has it been since the the only thing they reported with smiles on their faces is how well Trump is doing? how much tv time has he gotten for free while every other candidate has barely been on tv national news up until now? and NOW those same people (Morning Joe, FN, most of CNN) are now acting shocked that all this is happening. Internet news sites have been reporting on it for weeks now. Ratings have trumped journalism and this is the end result IMO.

How those in the tv 'news' media are driving this story about emails without ever saying anything about the millions of emails Darth Vader and VP GWB got rid of boggles the mind. I think that's what the corportae media here in the States wants to push. Like they're doing with Bernie.

Hi dere. Hope everyone is good. Well, IMO,when 2/3rd of the country doesn't vote, and Dems show their gutlessness once again by running from POTUS and not running on minimum wage increase nationally and keeping the ACA, and not touting the great gains over the last 6 years they deserved to lose. But, everything will flip back in less than two years when the Republicans show once again why this version of them is just a really bad party. Republicans rely on very low turnout and Dems did nothing this entire year to get out the vote. When Americans vote, Republicans do very poorly.
