  1. lol Jane did NOT say that at nancy's event. she talked about working with him and how she didn't want to do that job but it ended up being great, etc and how great he was. nancy is being nancy's typical troublemaker funny self. Although you know they are super close friends so I'm sure Nancy probably knows the truth! LOL

There was some person who wrote an elvis book who was interviewed. I remember that article from somewhere and he talked about who worked with elvis on his last movie. he mentioned stuff about mary tyler moore and then he mentioned something about JE who was having a fling with elvis at the time and would come out of his trailer during breaks in shooting with her habit all askew.

Again, unconfirmed but so funny that nancy tweeted that!

I freaking love nancy! she is so honest. She got up and said flat how how horrible of a working relationship she had with guza and how glad she was for him to be gone.

Jane said that she will be working more and the show would be balanced.

I saw SOS put TracyAz in their new poll due to upcoming stortyline. The solieto family coming on is part of the bensonhurst story, but I think it will somehow tie in with tracy there. I thikn that is maybe reason also for AZ Tracy sharing scenes.

LLC said at her event that there is some great tracy/monica stuff coming. NOt sure how she knows

Next week stuart is taping! Yay!!

My husband mgiht be on an episode of GH taping in a couple weeks. I'll have to let you guys know the details. Waiting on confirmation

BTW Daytime dish is dead forever! The site adm sent me a dm...plus it was posted

Here is the back up board that people are now using for an Inside lounge if anyone wants it

This spoiled connection that Tracy and AZ have...I wonder if it's Gina Solieto, the 19-year-old they're casting. AZ might be related to her father. Any chance Tracy could be her mother? Don't think so from what I've seen of The City clips and what's been said. Unless she had a different father than who they assume...?

Sounds like Alan will be in Jason's dream and supposedly in Monica's dream, too. Wish they would just undo Guza's mess and bring him back. I read a spoiler about Helena having about a dozen surprises up her sleeve. I hope one of them is named Dr. Alan Quartermaine.

  2. They have jumped the Lunacy shark as far as I'm concerned. I guess Guza wanted to go out in a blaze of glory. Congrats on that.

Gina Tognoni would be a great Kate recast. There have been lots of spec probably combined with wishful thinking that she would go to Y&R as Victoria Newman. From GT's perspective, Y&R would seem like a better deal I would think unless she's another one who has always wanted to work with MB.

And this is partly wishful thinking, but I don't think it's Kristin Alderson to GH mainly because I don't see where she would fit on GH. And she's a bad actress. Not nice to say, I know, but it's the truth. The whole teen cast, except for KA's brother, is actually pretty dreadful. Too bad they couldn't let GH's casting director do double duty because he's the best and OLTL's is the worst. For all of GH's faults, at least they hire talent.

Ravenbeauty has definitely been giving strong hints that Jane is out. Hopefully that plan might change if they are shoring up the Qs. I would think she would be around for awhile if Dillon is coming back. Sad that they've made her such a periphery character that she could so easily be written out. It's crazy. But if Garin Wolfe is truly given carte blanche, she sure has a better chance than under Guza.

  3. Ravenbeauty's scoops have come to fruition like birds on a wire...ping, ping, ping. I can definitely see John Paul Lavoisier as Dillon. He has the same quirky, physical and emotional, presence that Scott Clifton had as Dillon. And he is reportedly a huge Frons favorite and the reason he's essentially been OLTL's star for the past few years.

I don't think Farah Fath is the younger leading lady coming to GH, though. Ravenbeauty has had her out the door for months and apparently not by her choice. My guess is that her exit story changed because of the heart transplant story on OLTL. Anyway, if JMB leaves as RB has scooped, the younger leading lady might be Bree Williamson (she plays Jess and a bunch of other characters that rhyme with Jess-consider yourself lucky if you don't know what I'm talking about) as a Lulu recast. BW is another Frons favorite and, really, it would be a good sign if two of his favorites ended up as Spencermaines.

Back to John Paul Lavoisier, his being possibly cast as Dillon is so ironically soapy. SC played Tracy's son until OLTL appropriated him and eventually made him Roxy's son in a switched at birth plot point. And he was switched at birth with Rex who is played by JPL and now possibly slated to become Tracy's son. So very small worldish and soapy.

  4. Very sorry about Ingo. I've always liked him as an actor and a human being. I gained even more respect for him when he called out that Monavie juice thing some of the GHers were peddling. Lucky for Ingo, most soaps don't have a fascination for actors who mumble and stare. So, maybe there's something much better waiting for him. I hope so.

Can't wait to see Helena return. If it's true about Nikolas dying at the hands of Lisa, that seems such a waste. If she's on her way out, what's the point when the object of Helena's revenge is gone? Would have made a far better story if it had been an accidental death caused by a Spencer.

Speaking of Spencers and Cassadines, a fitting end to GH would be the marriage of a Spencer and a Cassadine...Ethina.

  5. This ravenbeauty dropper is saying two female vets at GH are out and one of those two will only be offered recurring. If that is true, the only two female vets are Jane/Nancy. I could see nancy offered recurring cause she has kids on the show still.

People are also dropping that TG is done or out. I don't believe he is out for good after May with not one announcement. Nope. If anything I think he would return early, return as normal and they both leave in Nov.

At this point so much going on and rumors not sure of anyhthing except GH is pretty much gonna be done I guess. In a way it would be good to get out before the influx of out of work soap actors happens in Sept and Jan.

Jane sure sounded pretty final in those interviews and probably the whole reason she even did them was for some self-promotion to remember she is still out there in the media. Just my take--if you are about to be ending something it is always a good time to start gettign your name out there.

Not saying I believe TG is out on this or that date, but I can see ABC keeping it under wraps. TG's leaving would just lend more weight to the cancellation "rumors."

Given how GH caters to its male actors, I can see things wrapping up in a way that satisfies them and not necessarily the fans. I'm not a fan of the new/old Luke, but I think this is it from now until the end of the show.

TG has been in favor of a Luke suicide from the time he left in the early to mid 80's. (If I remember correctly, he was floating the idea of LnL both dying in a hospital shootout involving the mob.) And TG's big thing is always about "challenging" the viewers. My guess is that they will go for something unforgettable, but definitely not warm and fuzzy. The way I see it, the LuNacy fans got a happy ending three years ago. That Haunted Star exit was as good as it gets. Too bad *that* wasn't when GH ended. Would have worked for me.

Too bad GH isn't ending before OLTL. Given the fact that GH is almost solely about Michael, all they'd have to do is send him off to prison again and call it a day. I loved Michael and Abby a few months ago. Now, I'm almost as anxious for them to be off the screen as I am for Sonny and Brenda to be gone.

  6. OFF TOPIC - On the topic of pets - What are people's experiences with kittens/cats? I so need to move out of my parents house (25 years old) but really want a pet to ease the lonliness factor. I can't do a puppy because I would be gone from morning 'til evening, and it would need a lot of training, but what about a kitten? One that is litter trained and up to date on vaccinations?

As strange as this is going to sound, I lived with cats for about a week in high school. My mom's friend was on vacation, our old house had been sold, and our new one wasn't ready to move into yet - SO, she let us stay in her house if we watched her cats. It was nice having fluffy friends to come home to even though 2 of the 4 were evil. I don't want to end up with evil cats. And I definitely do not want 4. 1 or 2 would be good. Thoughts???

Adopt a black cat! They are only half as likely to get adopted because of their color. I have a 15-year-old (as of yesterday, actually) little black kitty who is the most wonderful girl.

As for litter boxes...they're not that bad. Use 13-gallon drawstring trash bags in lieu of liners made specifically for litter boxes. I find they actually fit better. And they're so easy to change.

Here's a thought if you want a "pre-tested" cat. Adopt one from a rescue that is currently being fostered. And if you're thinking about two, you could get two that have already bonded.

Wet food instead of dry! It's much healthier. :)

So glad you're thinking of getting a kitty, Ms. Q!

  7. The reality is the Networks aren't making money regardless - ABC is owned by Disney, who makes its money elsewhere. Gestures won't make any difference at this point because it seems to be widely accepted that the medium is dying. We are back to the late 70's when it comes to the bias against Daytime as something anyone can do to get some experience under their belt.

The fact that Disney wants to replace SoapNet with yet another TV channel aimed at pre-teens tells me everything I need to know about where they think the future comes from. Apparently no one explained that these little urchins get their money from parents and grandparents who probably do or have watched soap operas.

The other thing in all of this is soap fans are people who invest in the show but not necessarily the products being sold. It takes nothing to persuade children/teens to purchase whatever the products are that support those shows, but with age comes a little more wisdom and *hopefully* a less gullible market. I doubt the products being advertised during soaps make that much money from consumers anyway.

As a lifelong fan of soaps part of me is really sad to see them going due strictly to crass commercialism and Capitalist Economics, but the truth is while I sat willingly with my mother and grandmother to watch soaps, I don't have my children sitting by me. Part of that is because they have other distractions, and part of that is quite honestly that younger viewers don't have the attention span. What we would have waited months to learn about without spoilers, these kids/young adults want now and then based on spoilers decide it won't be worth their time.

I'm also wondering if the puritanical nature of network TV isn't a large part to blame. We can only get the suggestion of actions that would be seen easily on what Americans know as Cable TV (it's all Cable to us). What would happen if Daytime soaps pushed the boundaries like online soaps do. After all, it's still a conversation to have a black/white pairing (heaven forbid any other ethnic group exists) and women have just been getting hyphenated names in the last few years. What were they preserving by keeping a 1970s world?

You're right on the mark, Remos. I don't think they're making much either. But they're promoting their primetime lineup and Disney movies like nobody's business. Honestly, some of these promos are longer than movie trailers. If they want the younger viewers, which they clearly do, no wonder they want out of the network soaps business. Children (and 12-17 are children, not "women" as the network calls them) don't watch soaps, at least not on TV! Did they just figure this out? It's been spelled out in the ratings for years. Viewers 12-17 number in the tens of thousands as opposed to the millions for what was previously considered the magic demo of the baby boomers.

One thing I believe could have saved soaps would have been effective product placement. What ABC apparently didn't understand is that product placement isn't about making an on-air spiel. You don't talk about it. It's just there. They could have been doing this for decades. Instead of supposed millionaries eating generic cereal and drinking bottles marked "cola", they could have been quietly selling Cheerios and Spite, and making zillions. Oh, well...

  8. Robert Guza. He lives to undo history. Do you not remember how much contempt Luke now has for his children and life, when we watched for years as he completely enjoyed it. Do you remeber how solid Luke n Laura were, until we found out he cheated and created a child?

The list goes on and on, but the point is, Guza LIVES to retcon and rewrite history.

Completely happy? They got a divorce. And TG has made clear what a hideous misrepresentation of his character the Charles Street years were. He's played Luke for over 30 years, so I trust his assessment. And I wish they had given him the Emmy for the "Amityville Horror" adlib referring to laura's house.

I remember a scene with Luke and Lucky, circa mid-90's, sitting outside at night under the stars. Luke was talking about how this made him remember how great it felt to be "out there" as opposed to the white picket fence routine.

And then there was Felicia...So, solid is not a word I would use to describe this couple even during what was their only onscreen time of any length as a couple.

  9. I *love* the way TG thinks. LuNacy love is mature, rich, and seasoned. LnL was based on an illusion. LOL! Any hardliner still pinning their hopes on a revenge walk into the sunset might as well help Palin measure the White House windows for drapes. One is as likely to happen as the other!!

This is not a mainstream fan opinion, but I am ready for GH to end. The intervention to come and a few scenes here and there are just random diamond chips in a big, ole heap of repetitive manure that wasn't even interesting the first time around. It's still all about Sonny and Jason, Jason and Michael, Jason and Carly, Carly and Michael.

Some soaps are at their best when they're wrapping things up. There's nothing to lose, like fickle viewers bent on instant gratification with short attention spans, and the suits just say let her rip, do what you want. And the creatives actually create instead of cowtowing to focus groups and advertisers. So, I'm looking forward to it! (Famous last words...)

In the end, it won't really matter anyway because the whole thing will probably have been Luke's dream. Only Luke won't be Luke. He'll be some guy named Sal living in an ashram or a trailer park with a woman named Tootie played by Roseanne Barr or Judge Judy. :P

  10. Just saw Friday's episode and all I've got to say is GO JOHNNY!!!!! About time someone else started to tell Robin to f-off. I can't believe the self-righteous bitch was snooping in his apartment and STILL tried to pull the victim card to excuse her behaviour. She's got gall.

Johnny has gone from being one of my favorites to being my favorite male character! (Love LuNacy, but Luke himself...wasn't even in the running. His fault. ^_^ )

And the piece de resistance "...and get some therapy!!!":lol: *applause* *applause*

    Johnny is KING!

  11. I think it's funny that he still has the old fake wedding drunken vegas and not the new wedding pic! I like the drunk vegas one though!

And CH makes me sick! LOL

TQ--I think the book comes out on 4/5 on amazon.com or something you can pre-order

Or you can wait for the book to come out on the internet. ^_^ Personally, I'll pass on lining CH's pockets.

Bradford Anderson is a huge LuNacy fan to begin with . . . that's probaby why he liked the story.

They should have passed on the book and gone straight to the screen with a couple of stand alone episodes.

  12. get ready to see a whole lotta luke and very very little tracy! I don't know why that irritates me more than seeing neither of them much! maybe cause they don't use her when TG is gone and when he is here, now they aren't either...at least they usually get a bit of a story before he leaves.

I think that this year, he is going to leave because of being "fathered out" with lucky's problems and jake dying etc.

It would be better to have her leave town with him and come back in the fall together

Really makes you wonder why they even bothered with the wedding. On second that, maybe it's the same reason they bothered with the S & B wedding. It was a bone to throw to fans before everything blew up, figuratively in one case and literally in another.

Speaking of which, VM is leaving. Happy face, happy face. She is the only person I know of, making a probable seven figures, who mumbles in a monotone. Even MB isn't that bad.

  13. Tracy and Clint would be so awesome my head would explode. Both of them. Scheming..together. Taking on the whole town of Llanview and kicking ass and taking names. It would be epic!

And OLTL actually allows their actresses over 50 onscreen for more than an episode or two a month. When TG goes on vacation, there goes Tracy anyway in all likelihood except for a random Q scene. (Maybe.) With Clint getting in touch with his inner Adam Chandler, he would be a perfect foil for Tracy. Or vice versa. Or both. B)

  14. i at least saw luke in the commercial holding back sonny when brenduh so-calls dies. someone help me, i have to watch sonny/brenda crap just to watch glimpses of Lunacy. ugh help me.

You're funny, Funny. And you know what the worst part about this is? Brenda will come back from the dead. The day that happens, I will be otherwise engaged doing something I'd rather do like scrub the cat hair out of the rug or clean my keyboard.

  15. Thanks everyone. :)

I've been lurking in the shadows on SON for the longest time and posting on SoapCentral (as the same username) But, this place is better. Not to mention there's a giant Tracy Q. thread. :D

Welcome, weareclouds. :) SOC is far more trouble than it's worth in my opinion. The level of discourse is definitely better on SON. And since they did whatever they did to the site a months ago, it takes me forever to just load a page in a thread. Then, there is the propensity for Tracy and/or LuNacy threads to be merged in ways that are not always flattering to either. ^_^ SON is definitely the place for Tracy fans.

  16. I really wish that Jane would say bye-bye to GH and head over to OLTL. They could pair her with Jerry ver Dorn again who is absolutely killing it as the extremely multi-dimensional Clint. JvD is like JE in that he is both supremely talented and supremely entertaining to watch. Of course, TG is, too. But GH doesn't seem interested in Tracy or LuNacy. The three-day Tracy LoveFest on GH was apparently a Christmas gift with a very short expiration date.

  17. Spoiler alert - Edward is actually mentioned as being devastated when Brenda "dies" in the car explosion.

Since Brenda is destined never to die, it will probably turn out to be Claire. By the way, Dahlia Salem is an Egyptian-American. Just a little FYI.

  18. Thanks for the news, Hooked. Makes me wonder if it was a mutual thing with the show wanting to save money and TG being willing to trade money in exchange for more time. I'm starting to think that the show that was told to cut their budget by half is GH. It makes sense because they've lost viewers at a much faster rate in the past few years than any other ABC soap.

Check this out... It's Raven Beauty's column. I didn't know she was still around after she decided to stop doing her column on SOC. Her track record is about as good as anyone's can be in a business that turns on a dime.

    http://www.voy.com/191220/7088.html

Sounds like NLG is probably cut and I'm guessing it's Lisa LoCicero who's being offered recurring. Says they're also cutting Brandon Barash.

  19. Maybe it's just me, but Jonathon Jackson's Lucky just doesn't give off a dad-vibe. I don't really buy his scenes with the kids, like I did when GV was in the role.

I feel the same way, SoapBoy. JJ exudes an aura of "Elizabeth is their mother and they consider me their father, but I'm still experimenting with facial hair growth and this just isn't a good fit for me." Seriously. Nothing screams GREG VAUGHN like JJ in a scene with either of the boys.

TracyQ, if you're still accepting "ballots"...

  20. That is funny...I was coming to post a bout the shoes being taken off in the screencaps I saw and then boom there is your post. So true...like that little touch...no wonder why she looked so much shorter dancing! LOL Wonder if that was Tracy kicking them off or JE! LOL

Like JE said in that SoapTalk interview, I think she had reached the legal limit for high heels. ;)

    About the cake...I'm guessing raspberry.

TracyQ ~ Wonderful job with the screencaps - all 3 days! Excellent culling...the creme de la creme of the creme de la creme. Magnifique! *applause* *applause*

  21. True that Mama! Can I get an Amen?

Amen *and* Allelujah on that, halee. And while they might not show it with screentime, GH knows wherein lies their talent. TG is the only other actor or actress on the show they would given something that substantial to convey without dialogue. JE is spectacular. (Actually, *more* spectacular than TG and, to his credit, he hasn't hesitated to say as much.) Together, they're insanely magnificent.
