I was waiting for either Tracy or Nic to break up Maxie and Scott. Scott is swinging wide and warned the police force that no one gets sleep until his son's killer is brought to justice. Scott also went off on Lucky saying all Spencers were the same and that Lulu was in on all of it. Personally, I'm hoping the story Luke returns to is Scott against Lulu, not ewcbo in Lulu's head. Carly compared Lulu to herself, too. Tracy and Nic enjoy their meal. Tracy makes comparisons between Scott/Laura/Luke and Logan/Lulu/Johnny, commenting that this time someone gets killed. "And once again Luke Spencer is no where to be found." Tracy is really annoyed with Lukey.

Scott on phone demanding everything on Logan's death and a meeting with Mac. Then he turns to Tracy and starts to accuse her of having something to do with Logan's death. Tracy looks at him and asks if he's serious. Nicholas steps in front of Tracy and tells Scott to back off, and stop throwing around accusations without the facts. Scott says he wasn't there for Logan in life, but he'll be there in death. My thoughts: Awww, Nic defends Tracy.... they're getting closer... Scott - Kin's not pulling this one off. He looks fake.

Tracy AND Nicholas tell Scott Tracy knew about the jail break, followed a hunch and saw that Edward's gun was missing. She's meeting with Nicholas because they want to figure out how to find Lulu before the Z's or police do, considering how erratic Johnny can be. Scott comes in with some slam about Luke being an a skin-diving trip. Tracy still doesn't know where Luke is.

Hooked can speak more to this when she returns, but I saw this in the IL on SD Q: Got anything at all for a Tracy fan? How will Laura waking up affect Tracy? A: She's going to offer Luke a divorce and he will turn her down. I hope this one is legit, 'cause that means she loves him enough to let him go... and he loves her enough to stay for good.

Well, Lainey and I can't stand the new display, TL and MissJane like it. Reminds me of the hair conversations of Hooked and Ms.Q. To each there own, most definitely. Don't let it be said Tracy fans don't hold strong opinions ! TL, the ruckus wasn't anything. Some newbie ewcbo obsessed fan got her nose out of joint over something I said re: GF not playing ball but wanting the moon. Apparently she lurks here and quoted me (I haven't been back to see and I don't really care). Anyway, she went on ad tedeum ad nauseum about how Tracy fans were afraid of Laura and she was all we could talk about. Ms.Q and I both said that wasn't the case, and I continued to say that decide who is more important, A: if GF is the important part of Laura, then just kill the character and have it done with b/c she's said she's not coming back on anyone's terms but her own, or B: if it's Laura who's important, recast with someone who actually lives in LA. I also assured her that most Tracy fans are sorry for ewcbo fans that they are played so badly in the media. It's not fair to them to be jerked around like that. And that was it. It continued a bit afterwards apparently as the sane ewcbo fans tried to redirect her, but by yesterday the thread had dropped of the main page as per usual. No big. And now you are up to date. Considering the amount I've dropped over there, you should be impressed that it's just one!

Maybe a LOT!!! The kids have gone next door for their French lesson. I am such a happy mommy!!! It's July and they are willingly doing their school work - doesn't get better than that. BTW, Hooked, I muck up all sorts of stuff on SOC. I've found many kindred spirits, just as you have on SD. Only advantage for you is that they actually know something. SOC is just a sharing of opinions. So muck away, my friend... we need everything you can learn.

So Miss Thing.. (yeah, I'm talking to you, Hooked); you give me grief about kicking up the dirt on SOC but you're rolling in it over on SD. Pot and Kettle much? (Incidentally, vino is much better than OJ for breakfast, and my kid's French tutor is excited to get started immediately. Life is good this morning .)

Oh don't misunderstand, I think he was blindsided too and he certainly felt 'screwed over'. All I'm trying to suggest is that there might be a little bit of thought into some of this along the way. Not every vet is killed, some are still doing well (depending on the show, some better than others). And some do know when to call it a day (John Clarke, DAYS, and the one who played Audrey, just can't remember her name off hand). I also believe GH doesn't know what to do with it's history and are running in circles. I'm just saying it might not be as black and white as fans, rumours and magazines might have us believe.

Ah, Hooked, I love that! You are so good. This totally beats waking up to orange yesterday. JE just cracks me up. Consistently we are told she's funny and brilliant. And the hair... well I don't mind the current cut but they could do so much more with it. The "collar and leash" doo was great. She's looking too much like my mother these days to be comfortable for me. You know, I'm starting to wonder if there is somethings TPTB know about aging actors that they themselves don't want to acknowledge. Anna Lee was removed from contract and died not long afterwards. I know the general feeling on that one was that her termination lead to an early death, but perhaps those behind the scenes knew something about her health and ability that the audience will never know. Same for the guy who played Asa Buchanan on OLTL. They accomodated his cancer and then brought him back, but perhaps it was just more than he could deal with and the works was adversely affecting his health. DOOL has taken a different approach with Francis Reed and kept her on contract but only brings her out for Christmas and July 4th (which she couldn't even do this year). Now Stuart Damon is having health issues and needs surgery. I'm guessing his back is bad since Alan looked incredibly stiff those last few years. I think it's easy as fans to get up in the air about the replacement of vets, especially when they seem so calous in how it's done and are often talking about money being an issue. However these actors are aging and won't be around forever. Part of the profile for actors is to think you are God's gift to the world and without you things won't work (they have to have this mentality in the early days to survive that cutthroat field, so that I understand). But often as people age there is great denial that their bodies won't do everything they need anymore. These folks are getting into their 70's, 80's and 90's, long past the point the average person has retired. I know they do what they do because they love it, but what toll is it taking? Perhaps TPTB were trying to be kind to SD two years ago, take the blame while he could still walk out in dignity. It didn't appear that way and SD certainly didn't seem to take it that way, but maybe that's what was truly behind Alan's death. Every time someone new comes into soap land, they tend to say one of two things. It's either they are impressed with the calibre of the acting OR they talk about how fast paced everything is. If the directors have to do multipul takes because one aging performer can't do it as well, where do they draw the line between sentimentality and business?

Oh baby, if you are going to quote the crap, quote all of it... Some newcomer: oh and something that I find interesting...... Laura's been off the show for YEARS. I checked the first 3 pages of posts and there are at least 4 topics either about Laura or LnL [although I assume they'll be merged soon]. Meanwhile Tracy's been ON the show for years, yet Tracy fans can't think of anything to post about her - instead they talk about Genie/Laura. So to the Tracy fan who suggested that Laura should be killed offscreen - maybe it's Tracy who should die quietly since even her own fans can't find anything worthwhile to say about her despite the fact she's been on the show for at least 4 years. This is me: Haaa... well as the Tracy fan who made that suggestion, I stand by it. Tracy can have, and HAS had, upwards of 8 posts running at a time and they are merged within an hour. This is an extremely pro-Laura board and her posts are not merged in order to give the assumption that the character is more important. BTW, the Sam fans have noticed the same things when it comes to their posts and others. Tracy fans have lots to talk about. Thing is our girl is still around and involved in stories - thought not nearly as many as she deserves. That's a horse of a whole different colour. I made the suggestion that Laura should be killed off or recast. Just do something to move this along. Even TG has said enough is enough, which is why they got rid of the wig last year. Obviously the writers and GF can not make something long term work, so either get rid of the character, or if she is so needed, get an actress who actually lives in LA to play the role to give it justice. It's logical. What the Tracy fans talk about, actually, is how badly we feel for the Laura/GF fans who are thrown a nibble then have it pulled back. Or have someone whining in the press then nothing comes of it. It must be really hard to be thrown around as much as you are and we are sorry you are played so much. Ya know, the think about admiring Tracy is the more I watch, the more I can really get into her shark. All is right in my world... the kids are all playing with neighbours - all on the same floor no less, and Ruah spent the last two hours playing Barbies. She's not a teenager yet! I've just suggested to a bunch of ewcbo fans that the best think that could be done to improve the characters of Lulu, Lucky and Luke is to have Laura die a quiet, off-screen death so they would all be free to truly move on. I haven't looked yet to see their response. All this quiet... and the humidity really broke last evening... just might inspire me to write... never know...

Well, to be perfectly frank how could they NOT increase dramatically. Going from one day a month to one day a week would be an incredible increase in airtime. BTW, love your new avis both here and at SD.
