Kassie was miscast as Eve but I thought she did great work when Paige was murdered. That breakdown in Eve's apartment was wrenching.

I'm guessing it's a limited arc return. I saw this recently too. It would be fun to see nurse Anne with Eve.

If Eve is back there might be a bit of a Donovan family reunion because Jen Lilley (Theresa) is back too, according to reports. I hated Theresa but it makes sense to bring her back with Chloe leaving. Brady/Kristen need a spoiler and Tate is a great tool. I was expecting it. It's too bad Jack and Jennifer left because Eve could've come back to town with Peter Blake. No shade to Kassie (who I LOVE) but the thought of Charlotte's Eve opposite Stacy's Kristen makes my mouth water.

Yeah, I never got 'hair model' from Molly. I didn't like Melanie (mostly because she ate the show) but Molly actually had charisma and screen presence.

I liked Shayna and it took me time to adjust to SH but I rooted for Hennig's Stephanie hard against Melanie.

I forgot about Ali's mom pulling her from the show and I don't think I ever knew about RKK's issues at other shows, just Days. Damn. What a problematic actor.

To my understanding he was kind of a chauvinist and Kristian/Lisa hated him. He got involved with Miriam Parish which I forgot about too. I think she was like 17.

I'm not sure on RKK. I don't think it's necessary to have a "spoiler" in the story outside of Megan but from a creative perspective I'd rather have RKK (who at least has relevance to the characters) than Steve/Harris. You're probably right about Kristian but maybe RKK has changed over the years. Maybe not. What's his behavior been on other sets since Days? Agreed on Roman lol. Eric, Brady, Belle, Shawn, Sami, Stephanie, etc. definitely need to be integrated into these stories.

I love Peter/Bo but he was off on BS2 and Friday, too. Even playing brainwashed. Hopefully it'll iron out. Some of this is giving me "Death Becomes Her." Miranda Wilson is eating it UP. I wish they incorporated RKK into this story instead of Steve Burton. I'm sick of hearing Roman say "Katie." I cringe every time. This may be unpopular but I'm not crazy about the 80's-style adventure stories unless they incorporate more of their younger cast into them. I liked SOME of the elements of Beyond Salem but a lot of it felt like a dated Miami Vice with John and Steve running around like super spies still in their prime, etc. I prefer the tone of the more gothic adventure/umbrella stories of the 90's (Maison Blanche, Aremid, etc.)

The kitchen appliance de-brainwashing episode was Jamey too? Jesus. "Sarah as Renee" felt like fan fiction to me. Most viewers don't remember Renee and the actress isn't around to use anymore. I knew it was a Jamey idea before he even took credit for the story. At least with Megan they can still use Miranda. She seems to be relishing it too. There's story to milk and she's fresh vs. everything else right now. I just find it all so dumb from the "deaths" to the pacing to the talking urn to the waste of time that was the afterlife to bodies in pods like some kind of spaceship laboratory. I don't get it because they've shown they can write good stuff when they want to. I loved the tenderness of EJ/Nicole this week, for example, and a little over a month ago I was raving about how compelling the show was. Then they derailed it all for hell. They CHOOSE tacky every time.

Same. They've done a lot of damage to Jack with the Abby vs. Gwen stuff (though I love Gwen when she's unapologetically nasty) and I think Valley would be kind of a refresh of the character. I agree he'd have chemistry with Cady. He'd have chemistry with everyone, really. He was always a charismatic actor. I know Matt's most notable in the role but Mark's always been "my" Jack. It's his Jack who has history with Peter too so it'd be beneficial if they decided to bring him back. ...and they should. It's a shame to waste a ripe villain.

It shouldn't be but up to a few years ago it was. Ron had a whole story written that went in the trash.

I was toying with some ideas for a Peter return last night. I'm curious if anyone has thoughts. First, I'd bring back Valley's Jack. I'd have Abby come back with no memory where she went when she "died." She'd be angry with Chad. Over time she'd assimilate and run the paper with Jack, which would be a bigger part of Salem society with a SET and characters working there. Then I'd bring Peter back. On Chloe's arm at first, having met her out of town. She wouldn't understand the scandal at first 'til she learns he's the black sheep DiMera son and Kristen's brother. But he promises he's different now. There's genuine attraction. She ignores the naysayers. I'd reveal Abby was with Peter when she "died" (though she'd have no memory of it) and leave the implications of that a mystery with Abby acting bizarrely at times and only Peter knowing why. I may or may not let Jennifer entertain the idea of romancing Peter again with Peter gaslighting her but he'd mostly be battling Stefan over Chloe and his place in the DiMera family. THEN... I'd have Peter KILL Stefan and FRAME Jack/Abby for it with the town believing Jack helped his daughter cover a mental break... and Vivian seeking VENGEANCE! A throwback to Peter framing Jack for his "death" in '96. Then, Peter (with Gwen) would STEAL the newspaper and use it to slander the Deveraux's with Chloe naive to Peter's true nature. I'd involve Stephanie in this, (unwittingly?) being used by Gwen to hurt Abby. I'd have Gwen stirring the pot with Abby/Chad/Stephanie. Chad and Jennifer would work to clear Abby's name while Stephanie doubts her innocence. Then, on the eve of Abby's sentencing, Jennifer bursts into Peter and Chloe's engagement party to announce she's SUING the Spectator and has proof of Abby's innocence! I'd wait longer before I reveal Peter killed Stefan (let him get closer to Chloe so she's devastated when she learns the truth) and play more with Abby's missing time and what Peter did to her and why, an arc of its own (revenge against J&J). The fallout would put Chloe back at odds with Kristen as Kristen defends her brother against Chloe (and the Deveraux's) and Chloe turns to Brady for comfort. I'd also have Vivian going after Peter and Kristen (who'd help him) with bloodlust. I'd pit Chad against Peter as well. Thoughts?
