Elizabeth marched past Lucky and Nikolas and slammed the door behind her. Emily slowly walked out of the bedroom where Nikolas and Lucky were and sat down on the couch. Lucky
stared at the door while Nikolas rubbed his hand over his chin and faced his fiancee, "Emily, what were you two saying in there? We could hear you all the way out here. I was almost ready to go in and get you two. What were you two yelling about?"
Emily pulled her hair back into a ponytail, "I'm sorry I yelled." Emily said sweetly, "Elizabeth just has made me angry and we got in a fight. I didn't mean for it to get out of hand. I just don't understand why she has kept everything so hidden and why she hasn't told anyone anything."
"Emily that's really not our business though, thats between Lucky and Liz." Nikolas reprimanded.
"Thanks Emily. I am really mad at Liz right now so your support means a lot." Lucky said, sitting down in the chair next to the couch.
Emily's eyes narrowed, "See Nikolas, Lucky is fine with it. Anyways, she is gone now." Emily shrugged, "Are we going to order dinner or what?"
Astonished, Nikolas looked between both of them, "Emily do you even know where she was going?"
Emily shook her head, "No, but she will probably go to Jason's." she spit out, "Although my brother shouldn't even let her in. He should be just as mad since she never told him that he was the father of her baby."
Lucky sat down on the edge of a chair, "Nikolas, Emily is probably right. She will end up at Jason's. Her knight in shining armor." He said sarcastically.
Niklolas threw his hands up, "So she has Cameron and she is pregnant and Lucky, you won't let her stay here? What are you that insensitive that you can't let a pregnant woman stay in your house. I realize that what she did was wrong, but she is pregnant." Nikolas started saying.
Lucky interuppted, "I hardly think you are one to judge. Sorry Emily, but remember Courtney Nikolas?"
"Low blow, really low blow." Nikolas replied, "I can't believe that you would do this to her. She is your wife and regardless of the fact that she is carrying someone else's child, she is pregnant and it is December. You have no idea where she is going nor do you care. Lucky, you disgust me." Nikolas put on his jacket and picked up his keys.
Emily stood up,"Where are you going?"
    "To find Elizabeth."

Elizabeth and Cameron knocked on Jason's door. She was hoping against hope that he was there. She wiped a tear from her eye. She was trying to be strong for Cameron and she didn't want Cameron to pick up on her distress. Nor did she want Jason to see her this upset. Jason opened the door, "Elizabeth."
"Jason, we need to talk, can I come in?" Elizabeth asked.
Jason looked behind him and hesitated, "Yeah sure. Come on in." Elizabeth followed him in and sat down on the couch. She waited for Jason to speak. "Liz I was waiting for you to come to me because I know that things with you and Lucky must not be going well."
"You could say that." Elizabeth laughed bitterly.
"So the baby is mine." Jason stated stoically.
Elizabeth sighed, "Yes the baby is yours. I am so sorry that I didn't tell you Jason. I really am. I made so many mistakes. I thought that I was helping Lucky because he was addicted and Carly came over and told you that you weren't the father." She started saying in a rush. "Sam had just died and I didn't want to burden you. I am sorry."
Jason stood up, "It's ok. I mean I have to say I'm not thrilled but what is done is done. I will help you in any way I can. You know that Liz. I want to be part of this baby's life if you will let me. I figured that this baby is mine."
"Of course Jason. If you want to come to the appointments and be there when I deliver, I would love that. I actually need a coach, since neither Lucky or Emily are speaking to me right now. I am not so sure about Nikolas though." Elizabeth confided.
Jason patted her on the knee, "You know I will be there for you. Anything you need, just ask."
"Oh I am so glad you said that Jason because.." Elizabeth stopped when she heard a voice and someone running down the stairs. "Oh Hi Alison. Oh my, this is embarrassing." It was quite obvious that Jason and Alison had just had sex.
Alison Barrington, fresh from a shower and wearing a pair of jeans and one of Jason's shirts said breezily, "Hi Liz. How are you?"
Embarrassed that she caught the two of them, Liz picked up Cameron. "I'm good Alison. Um, Jason, I will call you. I have a doctor's appointment next week if you want to come."
Jason walked her to the door, "I would like to. Let me know. Are you sure that there isn't anything I can do for you tonight? You look upset. Is everything all right?"
"Everything is fine. Have a good night with Alison. She's really nice." Elizabeth smiled.
"It's nothing serious Liz. We just enjoy each other's company."
Elizabeth looked over his shoulder, "You don't owe me any explanations Jason. Look I need to be going. I will talk to you later." Elizabeth then walked out the door. She didn't know what to do or where to go. Her grandmother would normally take her in however she was just getting over surgery and Elizabeth didn't want to burden her or worry her. She walked quickly to Kelly's where she sat down and mentally went over her choices.
"Elizabeth! I have been searching all over for you." Nikolas strode into Kelly's. "Where did you go after you left your place?"
"I went to Jason's." Elizabeth said moodily.
Nikolas sat down across from her and asked, "Do you have a place to stay? Where are you going?"
Elizabeth answered, "I was going to ask Jason, but well, he had some company. Since Gram is sick, I have nowhere. I can't exactly go to the Brownstone because I just can't handle another rejection tonight." Elizabeth peered at him, "Why?"
Nikolas stood up and grabbed her bag. "Come on, you are coming to live with me at Wyndemere until you work things out with Lucky."
"You want me to stay at Wyndemere with you Nikolas?" Elizabeht asked, doubt in her voice, "I don't know. Emily and I got in a big fight and I don't want to come between the two of you. Plus, I don't want to start a war with you and Lucky. He's angry enough as it is and I don't want him to have a relapse."

Nikolas stood at the door of Kelly's, completely sure of his actions. He was trying to right a wrong. "Elizabeth it is the winter and you have no where to go. I have plenty of room. Cameron loves it there and I never see enough of him anyway. Hopefully Lucky will get over this and come around."

    "Are you sure?"

    "Positive."

Elizabeth picked up Cameron and followed Nikolas out the door, "Have you told Emily that I will be staying there? I have never seen her so angry."

Nikolas smiled and tickled Cameron, "I will talk to Emily. She'll get over it."

Robert sauntered into Luke's Club and stopped at the door. He was looking for Mac, again. He knew that Mac was coming to Luke's a lot lately, but he didn't see him there. He saw Luke and walked over to the bar. "Spencer, you seen my brother tonight?"
"I have not. Should I be on the lookout." Luke said, polishing a glass.
"Well, he hasn't been home all day and he was supposed to take Georgie out to dinner tonight. He was a no show. She asked me if I knew where he was, which I didn't. So I decided to go looking for him and thought this would be the first place he would be." Robert answered
Luke leaned against the bar, "Scorpio, should I cut him off when he comes in here? He is getting way out of control."
Robert shook his head, "No, at least here I know he's safe. Just call me the moment he gets here." Robert's phone went off and he answered. It was Taggert informing him that Mac was found outside on a park bench passed out. He was now at the station, drying out. "I'll be right there Taggert. Spencer, gotta go. Taggert said they found Mac at the park, drunk and now he is at the station."
"Scorpio, let me know what I can do to help you. Laura and I will help in every way." Called out Luke.
"Thanks Spencer!" Robert rushed to the door, not looking where he was going and opened it quickly. Tracy Quartermaine was opening it at the same time and she fell forward. He caught her in his arms.
"Hey! Get your hands off of me you louse!" Tracy sputtered, wiping her coat off. "Look what you did. I am all dirty."
"Ahhh, Tracy, you know you loved it. A real man holding you." Robert smirked and winked.
Tracy brushed past him, "Real man! Humph!"
"See ya Tracy." Robert said, taking off. In no time at all he was at the police station where he quickly saw his brother. Mac was a sad sight. He was slumped in a chair by Lucky's desk. He also looked like he had aged ten years in a month. He looked unkempt and you could smell the alcohol a mile away. Robert leaned against Lucky's desk and looked down at his brother, "Mate, you smell like a brewery."
"Go to hell mate. That's where I belong." Mac slurred. "You gonna take me home or what?"
"Thanks Taggert, I'll take him home now." Robert half picked Mac up and guided him out of the police station.

The Winter will bring lots of changes to Port Charles. Some storylines are wrapping up while other storylines are just beginning. Here is what is in store for the next couple months. Feedback is asking fo rmore veterans, so more veterans it is.

Carly/Jax They will get married in a beautiful ceremony surronded by family and friends. Lady Jane takes sick and Carly and Jax move to be with her. It will not be the last we see of them. But they will get the happily ever after.

Elizabeth/Lucky/Emily/Nikolas/Jason. Elizabeth will give birth in early February. The next month has a lot of impact on both Elizabeth and Lucky's relationship and with Nikolas and Emily's. Emily doesn't like that Elizabeth is staying at Wyndemere. Lucky thinks that Jason will horn in on Elizabeth, but Jason may not be the factor.

Robin/Patrick. They are moving in together and are domestic bliss. They will face the problems that every new couple moving in will face.

Lulu/Dillion/Georgie. Lulu and Dillion can't hide their feelings anymore and make love. Georgie chooses to ignore it. Everyone is tiptoeing around her and there are a lot of hiding and lies.

Lucy/Ned/Brenda/Sonny. Brenda can't help it, she will continue to fall under the spell that Sonny weaves. Now that it has been revealed that Ned is James' father, we know why Ned is even more protective of her. If he has too, he will go to all possible lengths that he can so that his son won't get hurt. Including involving Lucy and revealing that James is a Quartermaine.

Scott/Ric/Alexis. The mayor passes away and both Scott and Ric decide to run for mayor. Scott decides that this is a perfect oppurtunity to get to know Alexis better and he knows just how much it will get Ric angry. It spills into the mayoral race. Look for a third party candidate to jump in at the last minute.

Mac/Robert. Mac will go to rehab and will be off the canvas for a short time, but will be back. In the meantime, Robert will be commisioner. Robert finds himself in hot water a lot and needs to be bailed out a few times. Don't be surprised to see some old friends of his turn up.

The Quartermaines. One of the Quartermaines will face a serious health crisis and it will be touch and go. Several people from Pine Valley, PA will be making crossovers. The crisis will be enough to finally bring AJ home, with his new wife, Sarah Webber. Sarah is not the same girl she was when she left, she clearly has an agenda.

Luke and Laura. They will be in a lot of storylines. Right now, they are more in a supporting role and later in the year will have their own storyline which I am currently researching.

2007 will be a good year for "The Citizens of Port Charles" and I hope you will continue to be entertained. PM me anytime and tell me what you would like to see or what you are disliking. Any feedback is welcome.

Jason and Alison were having breakfast, talking about her conversation with Emily at Wyndemere when the phone rang. Jason picked it up and was surprised to hear Brenda's voice. "Brenda? Is everything all right with Sonny? What's going on?"

"It's not Sonny, he's fine. It's Alan." Brenda said in a low voice. "He's having some serious pains. I know you have problems with the Quartermaines, but you probably should get down to the hospital." Brenda paused, "Jason, it's very serious. Put away any animosity and go see the man that raised you even though you can't recall it, he can. From what I was told, it may be very serious."

Jason sighed heavily. "Ok, I know. Let me get dressed and I will be right there." Jason hung up the phone and looked at Alison. "It's Alan. He's very sick and I need to go to the hospital. Brenda wouldn't call me if it wasn't true."

"I know Jason. I have to get to Nikolas' anyway to take care of Cameron and Spencer. Let me know if you need me." Alison kissed him briefly.

"I will." He said as he headed out the door.

Patrick had just finished with his first surgery and was cleaning up when a nurse came in and told him about Alan. Immediately he went over to a phone and called Robin. She answered the phone, sounding out of breath. "Hello."

"Robin it's me. I have to tell you something." Patrick said in a very serious voice.

Robin sat down in a chair and whispered, "It's not my father or Mac is it?" From the tone of his voice she knew something was wrong. "What's going on Patrick?"

"It's Alan Quartermaine. He was brought to the ER with possible chest pains. I am going down there to see what I can do before my next surgery. One of the nurses told me that my father is already there." Patrick relayed.

Robin got up and grabbed her keys, "I'll be right there."

Alan had fallen into a light sleep. Noah and Monica were looking at the EKG and CAT scan and had concluded that he didn't have a heart attack. "Monica, you did the right thing getting him down here as fast as possible. The cold foot was the tip off. It is an aortic aneuryism. We will have to perform surgery in the next few hours, maybe even wait until tomorrow since it was caught so fast. I will need a cardiologist in there with me and I will not have you."

Patrick had walked in and was looking at the scans. "I agree that it is an aneuryism. I would assist but I have another surgery that will take me at least six hours. I will be too tired to do this surgery."

Monica looked at both men and spoke strongly. "I will assist. He is my husband and I want to be there."

"No you won't." Noah said. "You need to be there for your family and for Alan. You know the risks involved here. You should also get in touch with any family members that aren't here because the next 48 hours are critical. Monica, you know this." Noah looked at Patrick. "I know a doctor in Pine Valley who is very good, in fact Robin knows him. Dr David Hayward is world reowned and has saved many lives. He is the doctor we need here to help us with Alan."

"How does Robin know him?" Monica asked.

"He was her stepfather for a short time. He was married to Anna a few years back. I am positive if Robin called him he would come." Patrick said.

"Monica, why don't you tell Alan what is going on and we will tell the rest of your family. I believe that they are in the private waiting room. We will keep them separated from everyone else." Noah said.

Patrick said to Monica, "I have to go back upstairs. I have another surgery that I have to prep for. Dad, let me know how it comes out."

"Ok." Monica went into Alan's room and held his hand while he slept and the Dr Drake went in the waiting room to see Edward, Tracy, Emily, Ned, Dillion and even Jason there.

"Noah, what do you know about my son?" Edward blustered. "What's going on?"

Noah and Patrick sat down. "He has an aortic aneurysm in the main blood vessel to his heart. He will need surgery, hopefully today if possible. He needs to be stabilized first."

Tracy broke in, "Oh dear God, not Alan!" Tears started to roll down her face.

Edward's eyes filled with tears, "How serious is this?"

"The next 48 hours are critical. I would suggest if there is any family not present that you contact them and have them here as soon as possible. This is a life threatening procedure. We have to make sure that the aneurysm doesn't burst. There is a doctor out of Pine Valley named Dr David Hayward that I would like to contact to come assist me with this procedure. Dr Scorpio knows him well." Noah paused to let this sink in. "I am sure that if Dr Scorpio contacts him, that he will come."

Edward looked at Noah, "I need to make a couple phone calls to check out this Dr Hayward. This is my son that we are putting in this stranger's hand and I want to make sure that he is a good doctor. Where can I use a phone?" Edward stood up and blustered.

"I will bring you to an office where you will have some privacy." Noah said.

Edward turned to Ned, "Call that ne'er do well son of Alan's home. He needs to be here. I will contact Skye."

Ned nodded as Edward followed Noah into a small office. He picked up his phone and dialed information for Chandler Industries. He told the secretary who he was and that it was an emergency and that he needed to speak to his old friend Adam Chandler.

"Edward my friend!" Adam's gruff voice came over the phone line. "What can I do for you?"

"Adam I need you to tell me about David Hayward. Is he a good doctor?"

Adam's voice turned angry. "What has that scoundrel done to you Edward? I swear I could kill him with my own two hands if..

"Adam, I need to know if he is a good doctor!" Edward's voice broke as he yelled into the phone. "It's my son and he needs surgery. If JR or Little A needed lifesaving surgery, would you trust Dr Hayward to do it."

Adam's voice softened, "Oh God Edward. Alan is such a good man. Yes, David is many things but he is a good, dedicated doctor who will save his patients. Does Skye know?"

"Can you tell her? I'm going to have Robin Scorpio call David then and ask him to come up here." Edward said, his head hanging.

"Edward, I will fly them up to Port Charles on my plane. They can be here within the hour." Adam said. "Let me know how it goes."

"Thank you Adam." Edward hung up the phone and stared out the window. He shouldn't have to be in this position. Parents shouldn't outlive their children. He stood up and walked to the door and said to Noah. "Have Robin call him in." Edward walked back to his family, sat down and cried.

~Laura goes through stomach surgery with an enraged Luke and a tearful Lulu and Nikolas standing guard at the door. After an hour, the bullet is removed and she is moved into recovery where she is reunited with her family. At this point she is still resting.

~Lucky gets his bullets removed and checks himself out of the hospital. Emily, off her shift, stays with him. He’s happy with the company as he goes to check on his mother. However, he doesn’t want to get her hopes up that they may be together after all.

~Sam apologizes to Helena that she didn’t shoot Lulu. She explains that Nikolas got in the way. Helena said that Sam did the right thing, that Nikolas should not be hurt at any cost. Helena congratulates Sam on a job well done. They will remain in hiding for the time being until Sam’s next assignment.

~Sonny calls Jason and has him meet him at the hospital. Once there, Sonny asks Jason for a picture of Sam. Jason obliges, and Brenda identifies her as the woman who hit her. Jason is stunned and heartbroken, thinking that Sam has been dead all this time. Sonny summons Robert and they deduce that Sam was also the shooter. Robert says that he will break the news to Luke.

~Robert pulls Luke aside and tells him that Sam McCall seems to be the shooter. Luke is as shocked and stunned as everyone else. Luke rages that Helena is behind this massacre!

~Taggert and Mac reach the hospital and Robert apprises them of the situation. Mac decides to form a task force to bring down the Cassadines! He recruits Robert and Taggert and plans on asking Lucky as well to join it. They will be reporting to Robert in the search for Sam and Helena.

~Elizabeth hears of the attack and comes to the hospital. She sees Jason, who is stunned beyond belief. He tells her that Sam was the shooter. Elizabeth can’t believe it and comforts him, which both Emily and Lucky see. Emily comments that Elizabeth is moving along fast.

~Nikolas needs some air and walks down the corridor where he sees Elizabeth. He breaks down that his grandmother is back and that his cousin was behind the shooting of his mother. Elizabeth hugs him tight. Nikolas surprises both of them when he pulls back and gently kisses Elizabeth. Shocked, Elizabeth pulls back. She smiles and leans in for a second kiss.

~Robin comes in to visit Brenda, who has a massive headache. They start to talk about what has happened that evening and Robin and Patrick’s upcoming housewarming party. Robin is wondering if she should cancel it, because of the Cassadine’s returning. Sarah walks in and Robin invites her and AJ to her housewarming party. Sarah accepts and starts to plot her revenge on Patrick.

~Monica goes upstairs to visit with Alan. Alan has had a stressful day. He has started to walk short distances but his legs hurt with phantom pains and he gets out of breath easily. He tells Monica that he hates being a patient there and wishes he could leave soon. Monica forbids that. She tells him that he is lucky he isn’t a vegetable or worse and that he is making remarkable progress. He tells her he has an appointment with Lainey for tomorrow to discuss his feelings. He wants to know what has been going on. Monica fills him in on the nights activities.

~Carly runs into Jason and Sonny outside Brenda’s room. They tell Carly that Sam is alive. She can’t believe it. They realize that they have to tell Alexis and tell her before the media does. While Sonny goes to call Alexis to meet him at the hospital, Carly hugs Jason. She tells him that she will be staying the night with him, no ifs ands or buts. Rather than fight her, he agrees. However, he wants to stop and see his daughter first. Carly sighs, and agrees. Jason and Carly bid farewell to Sonny and leave.

~Before Alexis gets to the hospital, Sonny wants to see Luke. He checks in on Brenda and tells her he will be right back. Sonny tracks down Luke and tells him that Brenda confirmed that it was Sam and Alexis is on the way. He promises Luke that he will help him in any way possible. ANY WAY. Luke acknowledges it and promises to take him up on it. Sonny is livid that Brenda has now been victimized by the Cassadines.

~Alexis and Scott meet Sonny in the hallway as he is heading back to Brenda’s room. Sonny gently tells Alexis that Sam is alive and is believed to be with Helena. That Helena is behind the shootings tonight. Alexis doesn’t believe it at first, then breaks down first in joy that her daughter is alive and then in horror that Helena has her. Alexis insists that Sonny take Kristina and Molly for the night. He agrees. Sarah comes out and tells him that Brenda is being discharged. Sonny tells Alexis that they will all be at his penthouse, Brenda included.

~Alexis excuses herself and goes into the bathroom. While Scott isn’t looking, she runs out of the hospital and jumps into her car. Making sure she isn’t followed, she drives out of Port Charles. She drives several miles until she reaches a mountain. She drives up the mountain and through the gate. She barges through the door and comes face to face with Helena. “Where is my daughter?” she demands.

“Samantha. Please come here.” Helena says in a commanding voice. “Please say hello to your mother.”

In a cold voice, Sam says, “I don’t have a mother.”

Carly looks at Jax, "Did you know anything about this?"

"No I didn't. I want to go say hello. It's been years since I spoke to her." Jax stood up ans walked towards the growing crowd around Brenda.

Carly brushed by him, "Like hell you will." She strode through the room, where a small crowd was gathering around Brenda. Ned was hugging her and wishing her well. "Hey I will talk to you later Brenda, but I have to get on stage. Is your stuff at the mansion?"

"Yes Ned. I will see you later." Brenda kissed him on the cheek and wished him well.

Robin hugs her best friend again, "I can't believe you didn't tell me you were coming. I am so happy. I have so much to tell you."

"Well I wanted to meet this hot doctor you have been raving about." Brenda points through the crowd towards Patrick, "That must be him, I have never seen him before and let's face it, if he's hot and living in Port Charles, well I have met him. Oh I am so glad to be home" Brenda said hugging her best friend again.

Robin nods, " I know. We so have to get together soon and talk. So much has happened since I last saw you. I want to tell you all about Patrick, He makes me so happy and I know you will like him. Hey Patrick! Come meet Brenda," She beckons. "Patrick is talking to his father, Noah Drake. You'll meet him later, we'll all got out."

Carly pushs her way past Robin, "What the hell are you doing here and more importantly, when are you going back?" She asks Brenda.

Brenda turns, sees Carly with Jax and smirks, "Carly. Picking up my leftovers again? I would ask you how you are but that would mean that I care. Jax, how are you? I've missed you" Brenda leans forward and kisses him on the cheek.

"Keep your hands off of him," Carly said, nostrils flaring, "And you didn't answer my question. When are you going home?"

Jax unsuccessfullytries to shut Carly up, "Brenda you look phenomenal. It's good to have you back."

" Thanks Jax. And Carly, I'm not going back to Paris. This is home and I am here to stay." Brenda smiled. Brenda didn't notice but Sonny was edging his way on the outside of the crowd.

"Like hell this is. Why are you here?" Carly persisted.

    "I need a reason to be here? I didn't think I did."

Robin interupted, "Actually for the first time in my life Brenda, I agree with Carly. Not that I am not happy to see you, but why are you here?"

Sonny pushed his way into the crowd and listened intently, "Brenda."

Brenda swallowed noticeably, something that Carly immediately caught on, "Hi Sonny. Nice to see you."

"So what are you doing here." Sonny asked.

"I was offered a modeling contract in New York and will live here. I don't have to travel much and it doesn't take much time. I talked to Ned and he said I could live at the mansion." Brenda explained.

Carly snorted, "You are a has been."

Jax led Carly away, "Let's go Carly. Let's not make a scene."

"Very true. I want you as far away from her as possible." Carly turned back towards Brenda, "I would say I was happy you were back, but I would be lying."

Brenda threw her hair back, "Oh Carly, jealous much?" she said as Jax dragged Carly away.

Robin leaned in and whispered to Brenda, "What about James?"

Brenda whispered back, "He's here, but I didn't want to bring him here tonight. It's not the time or the place. The Quartermaines know about him and are cool with it."

"Well, now that Ned is done, Patrick and I are going to talk about how AIDS affects our lives. Go see Ned, I am sure he will want to see you." Robin said.

    "Brenda..." Sonny started forward

Brenda turned towards him, "Not now Sonny. I want to go see Edward. If you want to see me, I am at the Quartermaines."

Luke turned to Robert and Mac, "You know what we have to do tonight? It's tradition."

Mac laughed, "Oh yes, Most definetly."

Robert looked from Luke to Mac, "What are you talking about?"

Mac glanced at Felicia, "We have to find some way to get Lucy naked. Every Nurse's Ball, she always ends up naked. Whether she is changing and someone pushes her out into the crowd or the curtain accidently goes up, she is naked. Every year."

"No way," Robert brings his beer to his mouth and takes a drink, "Now she is a fine looking woman."

"You are totally out of her league Scorpio." Luke laughed. "But our goal tonight is to get her out of her drawers. For the benefit of all the men here, we have too. Trust me, Alan and Ned will join us."

Robert got up, "I'll go tell them."

    "Journey on mate." laughed Mac.

Lulu came out of the bathroom to see Dillion there, "Hey Lulu, you look nice."

"Hi Dillion. Are you having a good time?" Lulu leaned back against the wall.

    "Yeah, are you?"

"It's ok. I liked watching my parents dance. I had no idea my parents could dance like that."

Dillion leaned closer, "Listen Lulu, I am sorry about the other day. I shouldn't have kissed you like that. Especially since I am with Georgie."

Lulu looked down, "It's ok, I mean, I like that you kissed me. I don't know Dillion."

    "What?"

"Georgie isn't the only one that likes you. I do too Dillion." Lulu said, staring at him.

Dillon stepped closer, "Lulu I didn't know that. I like you too." Dillion leaned over and put his hands on her face. He gently kisses Lulu over and over again, gradually getting more intense.. Neither one noticing that Maxie is at the end of the hallway.

    ~ Next time...

It's the end of the Nurse's Ball....don't miss the last five minutes....

“Dr Quartermaine! Come quick!” Monica rushes through the doors towards the operating room. Dr Hayward is there to greet her, a tired expression on his face, “Monica, we did have a little problem. The aneurysm did burst but we were able to correct it. The surgery is over and everything looks ok. Of course you know that the next 48 hours are critical.” David pauses and wipes his face, “He woke up once and said your name. Then he slipped into a light coma which is to be expected. I can allow you, and just you to see him for five minutes.”

“Oh Dr Hayward thank you so much.” Monica tried to hold the tears back as best as she could. “I can’t thank you enough.”

David smiled, “Monica, it was my pleasure to help out today. I do want to warn you that Alan doesn’t look the same. He is very swollen from all the fluids given him. You can go speak to him if you wish and I will go talk to the rest of your family. The rest of you should go home.”

Monica nodded and tried to keep her composure, “I suspect we will, but I am going to stay here in my office so that I am close by.”

“Ok, I am staying on for a few days until Alan gets out of the critical stage, then another doctor will take over.” David walked towards the doors, “Your husband is a very lucky man.”

Monica tentatively opens the door and peers down at her husband. Tears well up into her eyes as she gazes upon the man that she loves, who is now close to twice the size that he was the day before. As a doctor, she knew that this would occur, as a wife she didn’t want to accept it. Alan is hooked up to many machines and oxygen. She sits down and picks up his hand, leaning down to press her lips to his hand.

“Oh Alan, how could you do this to me! I have been worried sick about you. I need you in my life so much. I love you more than you will ever know. I swear that I will never threaten to throw you or your father out of the mansion again. Edward is just devastated. If anything, you have to come back for Edward.” Trying to be strong, she brushes back a tear, “Skye is here to see you along with AJ and his new wife who you know very well. The former Sarah Webber. For some reason, she looks shorter to me. And Jason has been here the whole time wanting to see how you are. He too has been very worried. Tracy has been going out of her mind, I have never seen her like this. So Alan, you have to wake up and join us again, ok? We want you back. You make the family. Justus is on his way back from Minneapolis and I suspect he will want to see you as well.”

Epiphany opened the door and spoke softly, “Dr Quartermaine, you have to leave now. Dr Quartermaine needs his rest now.”

Monica leaned down and kissed Alan’s swollen cheek. “I love you Alan, always and forever.”

Robert is walking towards the entrance of the hospital when he spies Tracy coming out. He is aware of the situation with Alan and he walks up to her. Catching her by surprise, he handed her a handkerchief. “Tracy, I am sorry about your brother. What can I do to help you?”

A scornful Tracy stares him down, “Can you turn back the clock and make this go away? Make my brother the man he was yesterday?”

    “I wish I could Tracy.”

“What are you doing here anyway?”

“Mac called me and I wanted to let Robin know. So I figured that I would just drop on by and tell her. He has been with Bobbie and is going back to rehab.” Robert said.

“Isn’t that nice?” Tracy said sarcastically.

Robert started to walk away, “Look Tracy. I was trying to be nice here. I suspect moest people aren’t too nice to you. I know you are going through a tough time and I thought I could help. But I guess I am not high enough on the social ladder for you. So good night.” With that, Robert opened the doors to the hospital.

“No, stop.” Tracy pleaded. She was in a vulnerable state, “You are right and I am a mess. I am sorry Robert. I feel so helpless and I don’t know what to do anymore. The doctor says he is going to be ok, but I just don’t know. I just have a bad feeling.”

“It’s ok to feel upset Tracy.”

“I am Tracy Quartermaine. I don’t get upset. I eat people for lunch who are acting like me.” Tracy wiped the tears from her eyes, embarrassed. “Look Robert, thanks for listening, go see Robin. She needs you more than I do.”

“Not necessarily.” Robert embraced her as Tracy burst into tears.

Scott opens the door to MetroCourt and ushers Alexis in. They have been on a few dates now and surprisingly, Alexis was finding herself enjoying his company. There was nothing romantic between them yet, not that Scott hadn’t tried. They sat down and opened their menus. “What are you in the mood for Alexis?”

“I don’t know Scott.” Alexis threw down the menu. “I just can’t believe that Ric is using Alan’s illness to try to garner votes for the Election. Did you see him on the news?”

Scott rubbed his hand over his beard and said slowly, “Yeah I saw it. He has some nerve. I can’t believe he beat me to it.”

    “Scott! That’s horrible!”

“Did I say that out loud?” Scott smiled innocently. “How could you have ever married him? You are so much more intelligent than that.”

“Well Scott we all have things that we do that we regret in life. Like I regret that I was born a Cassadine and I regret that I didn’t get to know Sam.” Alexis confided. She glanced up and saw Lucy walking towards their table. “Ah, is there someone in your past that you regret Scott?”

Scott turned around and saw Lucy approach. He smiled and waved her over, “Hey Luce. I am surprised you are here and not at the hospital.” He commented.

Lucy looked at them quizzically, “Why would I be at the hospital?”

“Oh God, you don’t know. I am so sorry to have to tell you this.” Scott said. “Luce, Alan is very sick and is in surgery. It has been all over the news. I should have called you but I thought someone else would have.”

Lucy’s eyes filled with fear as her hand went to cover her mouth, “Scott Baldwin, in all the years I have known you this is by far the cruelest thing you have ever done to me. Not so soon after Felicia! And Alexis, I can’t believe you are a party to this. Again you are trying to hurt me in the worst possible way.”

Alexis spoke quietly, “Lucy, Scott is telling you the truth. Apparently he is having some heart problems. It is on the news. You may want to go to the hospital to see if you can find anything out. Or call one of the Quartermaines.”

“You don’t know what you are talking about. This is just a cruel joke that Scott is playing on me.” Lucy denied.

Scott stood up and grabbed her arms, “Luce, I am telling you the truth on Serena’s and Dominique’s lives. I would never joke about something like this.”

Knowing this to be true, Lucy wrenched her arms free and ran out.

It’s after ten that evening when the Quartermaine’s arrive home. Jason has gone home to his penthouse. In the foyer, are Skye’s suitcases.

“For God’s sake, can’t anybody do anything around here?” Tracy demanded. “Can someone please remove these suitcases and put them in a guest room? We live in a mansion, we have enough rooms, yet more people are staying here than at MetroCourt.”

“Sorry Tracy, I just left them here.” Skye sighed, “I was in such a rush. I didn’t know what to do. I want to go hold Lila. Ned, can you bring my suitcases up to my old room?”

Ned looked at Skye in dismay, “I would love to, except that is now Brenda’s room. But I got a call from her, she is checking into a hotel so that we could all be together. Feel free to take her room, I just want you to know that she has her stuff in there now.”

“Wonderful. Is she seeing Sonny again, because if she is, I want the sheets changed and that room completely disinfected?” Skye snapped.

Edward looked at his brood of children and grandchildren and shouted “Enough! No fighting tonight. I just want to go to bed and pray that Lila is looking after Alan tonight.”

“I agree Grandfather.” AJ said. “Is it all right that Sarah and I stay here? Or we can check into MetroCourt.”

Edward waved his hand. “Here is fine.”

“I had the maids clean your room AJ.” Ned said, walking into the living room and helping himself to a drink. He sat down, “What a horrible day. It feels like it has dragged on forever. Grandfather, are you going to be ok?”

“Don’t baby me Ned. I just want my son to be ok. He is the important thing. We made it through surgery and the next few days are going to be very important.” Edward said in a strong voice. “I want all the Quartermaines to stay strong and stick together. We will get through this.” Edward paused as he stood at the entrance to the living room and the foyer. “I’m going upstairs to bed. I know I haven’t always been the best parent or grandparent and I have come down really hard on all of you. But,” Edward’s voice broke, “I love you all so much and I hope you all know that.”

"Sarah!" Patrick brought his hand up to his cheek where she slapped him. "What the hell was that for?"

Sarah planted her hands on her hips, anger spilling out of her,"What do you mean Patrick? What was the slap for? Oh I don't know, what do you think it was for?" She finished sarcastically.

Patrick looked down at his feet before looking at her, "Look Sarah, I am sorry things had to end between us. But I never promised you anything."

"Rich, real rich." Sarah said, leaning back to slap him again. He caught her arm and said, "Don't try it again Sarah. You knew how it was between us."

Sarah wrenched her arm free from his grasp, "I NEVER expected for you to leave me with a letter saying that you were going to a medical conference and then finding out you were never coming back. That there was no medical conference. Do you know how embarrassing it was for me to go to work? To have everyone know that you lied to me? I actually transferred to another hopital Patrick! If you wanted to end it with me, you should have just ended it. Not be a coward about it, you bastard."

Patrick sighed heavily, "Ok, I admit I screwed up. I just didn't know how to end it."

    "You think?"

"I was coming back though. I just had." Patrick hesitated a minute too long and Sarah pounced.

"Had what? Another chick to screw over. Patrick let me tell you this. This may come as a shock to you but you are not God's gift to women." Sarah spewed angrily. "I pity any woman who ever gets involved with you." She stabbed him in the chest with her finger as the elevator opened and Robin stepped out.

"Oh my God Sarah! I can't believe it's you! I just heard that you were here from AJ. He asked me to find you. He thought you might have gotten lost and he didn't want you paged quite yet." Robin looked from Sarah to Patrick, immediately catching on to the tension between the two. "Have I interrupted something?"

Sarah smiled thinly at Robin, eyes narrowed, "We were done. Thanks Robin. I better go find AJ. Doctor Drake" She said sarcastically, "I wish I could say it was a pleasure." With that she turned on her heels and stomped into the elevator.

"Patrick, what was that about?" Robin asked tentatively.

"Nothing." Patrick walked away, leaving a stunned Robin.

Sonny opened the door to his penthouse when Brenda knocked later that afternoon. "Hi Brenda. This is a surprise. How are you holding up?" Sonny embraced Brenda as she wrapped her arms around his neck and gave into his kiss.

"Hmmm, that felt good. I decided to get out of the house for a little bit. James is sleeping and I am a little stir crazy." Brenda tipped her face up again. "Kiss me again Sonny." Sonny obliged, pulling her into a passionate kiss.

Sonny broke the kiss reluctantly, "I don't want to, you know, give a show for all the neighbors here. Come on inside." He closed the door and grabbed Brenda's hand, leading her to the couch. "Tell me what's going on."

Brenda snuggled up against Sonny and aimlessly dragged her fingers up and down his thigh. She told him everything that had happened so far during the day and how Alan was still in surgery. How AJ returned with Sarah Webber. "I never really knew Sarah Webber, just knew that she was Elizabeth's sister and involved with Nikolas Cassadine for a while. But she is now married to AJ. I guess they met in Santa Barbara. Have you called Carly?"

Sonny kissed Brenda's forehead and brushed her hair back, "I have to wait a few hours to call her. I want to make sure that Michael is off to school. Last time I spoke to Carly, Michael said he loved school down there."

"That's good." Brenda said distractedly. "Hey are you going to Robin and Patrick's housewarming party? Their house is adorable."

Sonny nodded, "Robin called and invited me."

Brenda tilted her head up and smiled, "Let's go together." she said impulsively.

"I don't know Brenda. Are you sure you want everyone knowing about us?" Sonny cautioned.

Brenda leaned over and kissed him thouroughly. "I am positive."

"Hey Laura! Come here!" Luke was sitting on the couch in the living room flipping through the channels when he was stopped by a broadcast of Tiffany Hill's. "Tiff is on the air again and the story is about Alan Quartermine. It looks like he had a heart attack or something."

"Oh my God." Laura came out of the kitchen and into the living room. "Is he alright?"

Luke turned up the volume and shrugged his shoulders. "It's pretty vague and it sounds serious. I wonder why Barbara Jean hasn't called me about this."

Laura sat in the crook of his arm and settled in to watch the broadcast. Moments later, they saw Ric Lansing approach the hospital and Tiffany run towards him.

Tiffany shoved her microphone at Ric, "Mr Lansing, what do you have to say about Dr Alan Quartermaine's condition?"

Knowing an opportunity when he sees one, Ric turned towards the cameras and put on a grave face. "My heart goes out to the Quartermaine family. Dr Quartermaine is a fine, upstanding citizen. Tonight, all of Port Charles should be praying for the health of Dr Quartermaine and wish him and his family well. That is all for now."

Tiffany spoke quickly, "Mr Lansing, how will this affect your plans for running for mayor? We have heard rumors that you were looking at the Quartermaines for an endorsement. Are you still trying to get one?"

"Ms Hill." Ric began, "At a time like this, politics take a backseat. We should be concentrating on the health and welfare of Dr Quartermaine. Thank you Ms Hill."

Luke turned off the TV in disgust. "I can't believe that we have to pick between that snake and Baldwin. It's like picking between Lucifer and Satan. They are one and the same!"

"I know honey, but there is nothing we can do. We have to just vote for the best candiadate." Laura tried to reason.

"That's my point Laura," Luke started to explain, "There is no best candidate. And now no one else can sign up and get on the ballot." Luke sighed, "One of them is going to be mayor and we will be going to hell in a handbasket.

Laura stood up and started to walk towards the kitchen, "Unless someone does a write in campaign."

Luke stood up and yelled, "You are a genius!"

The Quartermaines were sitting in the waiting room, waiting for some word on Alan. Hours had passed and they had heard nothing. Edward was staring out the window, Tracy was pacing from one end of the room to the other. AJ held onto Sarah's hand and Jason just stared ahead. For once, all of them were in a room together and no one was fighting.

The door opened and a nurse rushed through, "Dr Quartermaine! Come quick!"

Have yourself a Merry little Christmas....

All around Port Charles, families and friends gathered to celebrate Christmas.

~Patrick picked up Robin and took her for a ride. He stopped in front of a new house with a sold sign in front of it. She looked at him questioningly. He informed her that this was her Christmas gift, provided he accept him with it. Filled with joy, she hugged and kissed him. Patrick had a key and the two of them walked through the white clapboard house with the farmer's porch. There were black shutters and a white picket fence. The house had three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a large living room and kitchen. There was a dining room and den. Robin raised her lips and sweetly kissed Patrick, swearing her love for him.

~Ric was with Molly at Metro Court for Christmas brunch. He looked across the room at the families dining together and wondered where he went wrong. At least he had Molly for the day.

~Nikolas, Emily and Elizabeth were having an uncomfortable Christmas together. For the children, they were trying to keep their spirits up and Emily and Elizabeth were trying not to let their animosity show. The living room was filled with toys and unwrapped paper as Cameron went from toy to toy.

~Jason and Alison were in Jason's king size bed, lazily passing the morning. Having already made love twice, they were now wrestling and laughing together. Jason hadn't been this happy since Sam died. Alison was bringing a new light for him and she actually made him laugh.

~At the Corinthos household, Sonny, Alexis, Carly and Jax had gathered so that their collective brood of children could be together. They opened up their gifts and the adults had mimosas and cheese. They were going to have a large dinner later, when Molly came home. Sonny and Jax had tried to outdo the other in the best gift department and the children were reaping the benefits. Michael, Morgan and Kristina had more gifts than imaginable. Jax stole Carly away for a moment and gave her a five carat princess cut sapphire ring surronded by diamonds. Alexis went into the bathroom and cried over the loss of Sam. Sonny went into the kitchen and called Brenda. When Brenda saw who it was on her cell phone, she let her voice mail pick it up.

~Bobbie, Noah, Lucy, and even Scott descended on the Scorpio household. They knew that Mac and Robert weren't much on the cooking. They brought with them a turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, yams, sweet potatoes, corn, a green bean casserole, fresh rolls and gravy. Robin and Patrick came over and Georgie joined them too. A prayer was said for Felicia and Maxie and tears flowed. Mac stepped away and glanced at a family photograph of him, Felicia, Maxie and Georgie. He didn't notice Bobbie behind him until she sat down and hugged him.

~At the Quartermaine's Edward was holding court at the head of the table. Alan, Tracy, Monica, Ned, Dillion, Brenda, Justus and Lainey were all there for Christmas dinner. The usual sniping was going on between Tracy, who had fortified herself with some Manhattans, and Monica. Edward calmed everyone down by leading a prayer and remembering Lila, Mary Mae and Bradley Ward. He was also saddened that Jason and AJ couldn't be there. But he was thankful that Brenda had returned home with James and so happy that she named him after him.

~At the Spencer's, laughter filled the air. Laura and Lulu were cooking and Luke and Lucky were telling stories of past holidays. It was just going to be the four of them this year, a fact that Laura was trying to overcome. She wished that Nikolas would come over, but that would mean bringing Elizabeth. The brothers were now at war. She had pleaded with Lucky to let things go for the day. She had already called and spoke to both Nikolas and Elizabeth and pleaded that they come over. She wanted to see her grandson. When the doorbell rang, she was overjoyed when Liz, Nikolas and Emily came in. This truly made the day complete. Lucky tried to be civil yet he also avoided Liz as well. Catching onto the tension, Luke told the story of him and Laura being caught in Wyndham's and how they danced the night away. Lulu jumped up and down, wanting them to dance.

"Mrs. Spencer, may I have this dance?" Luke held out his hand to his wife.

Nikolas and Lucky moved the furniture so that Luke and Laura could dance in the living room. Luke swept Laura around the room as everyone was caught up in the magical moment. For that brief moment, all their troubles were forgotten....

    Merry Christmas!

Helena Cassadine is back! Constance Towers is reprising her role as the evil Helena Cassadine. She will be involved in many storylines, but mainly involved with the Spencers. She will be a force to be reckoned with in her time in Port Charles.

Helena has also brought along Sam McCall, played again by Kelly Monaco. Sam has been thought to be dead, but alas, she has not been. She has been with Helena and as the story plays out, we will see what has been happening to her since she "died" last year.

Both actresses have signed contracts. We are not sure, however, how long the contracts are.

Nikolas comes downstairs to find Alison feeding Spencer and Elizabeth playing with Cameron. “Good morning.” He said as he reached for the morning paper, “How is everyone?”

Cameron pipes up, “Breakfast yummy Uncle Nik.”

“I’m sure it was.” Nikolas ruffled Cameron’s hair, “Elizabeth you must be glad to be on maternity leave now. Yesterday must have been awful, but at least you got to see Sarah.”

Elizabeth looked up and smiled, “Yeah it was great to see her, she has changed so much. We caught up on a lot. She and AJ are going to be staying in Port Charles for a while, which makes me happy. Alison, has Jason heard anything about Alan?”

Alison looks up from feeding Spencer, “When I left, Jason had just called the hospital. He is in ICU and is in a light coma. Jason is going to stop by the hospital later today.” Alison wiped Spencer’s mouth with his spoon, “He is very concerned.”

Nikolas looks to Elizabeth, “I know you are going to be having your baby soon and Jason is your coach. If he can’t because he needs to be with Alan, I will be happy to help you out.”

Elizabeth smiled, “Thank you Nikolas. I want to ask Lucky first obviously then if Lucky won’t, I was going to ask Sarah.”

“Do you know if it’s going to be a girl or a boy? Do you have any names yet?” asked Alison.

“Not sure if it’s a girl or a boy. I do have some names that I want to run by Jason first.” Elizabeth said.

Nikolas commented as he picked up the paper, “Well Liz, the offer still stands if you need a coach.”

No one had noticed that Emily had walked into the room, “You what? You are going to be her coach? That is it Nikolas, I will not tolerate this!” An irate Emily yelled.

Nikolas stood up and walked towards Emily, “You won’t tolerate this Emily? What has happened to you? Jealousy is eating you up inside for no reason.”

“Am I the only one here that doesn’t realize what Elizabeth is about?” Emily asked rhetorically, “She has no man to rely on so she is going to move in on Nikolas. I know how she works. She always needs a man.”

“Oh shut up Emily!” Elizabeth interjected, “What you are saying is simply not true. You are turning into a jealous shrew and you are not the same Emily you were months ago. Is it because I slept with your brother? So what?”

“So what? You have lied to me and to Lucky for”

Nikolas cut her off, “Stop it Emily, I don’t want any fighting in front of the boys. Stop playing the ‘You lied to us’ card, it is getting old. No one seems to mind except for you and you have no right to.”

Emily points a finger at her chest, “I have no right to? You are my fiancé and she is making a play for you. Can’t you see that? I have seen you holding her in your arms while she cries her crocodile tears.” Emily grew angrier as she continued, “Don’t deny it Nikolas. I saw it with my own eyes.”

Frustrated, Nikolas threw up his arms, “Emily, Elizabeth is my sister in law and I was comforting her. You keep pointing out to me that I am your fiancé yet you seem to forget what trust is. Next thing I know I will find out you bugged the place.”

Silence settled in the room as Emily stared at Alison. Alison stared back. “He’s going to find out Emily, I already told Jason.”

“Why don’t I like the sound of this?” Nikolas asked cautiously.

Emily sighed heavily and pushed her hair back before speaking. She spoke in a whisper, “I asked Alison to watch Elizabeth to make sure Elizabeth wasn’t coming on to you.”

    Alison said quickly, “There’s more.”

    “I offered to pay her.”

Elizabeth and Nikolas yelled in unison, “What?” Nikolas quickly recovered and said, “Alison, can you bring the boys in the other room while we talk to Emily.” Alison and the boys quickly left the room. “Emily how could you do this?”

“I told you.” Emily stared Nikolas down, “I don’t trust Elizabeth.”

Nikolas looked at Emily in disbelief, “But you are also saying you don’t trust me. Emily, I want you to get out. I think we need to take a break from each other.”

Shocked, Emily stammered, “You don’t mean that Nikolas. I love you.”

“Your actions speak otherwise Emily. I suggest you leave.” Nikolas said coldly.

Emily flounced from the room, “I hope you both rot in hell!”

Ned’s cell phone rings the next morning startling him from a deep, yet troubled sleep. “Hello, Brenda?” He mumbled. “Is James all right?”

“Ned it’s me Lucy. How is Alan?” Lucy’s fretful voice rang through the line.

Ned wiped the sleep from his eyes, “He made it through the night but it is critical. Sorry Lucy, he is in ICU. Family members only.”

“I understand. I was married to him so I wanted to find out if he was ok.” Lucy walked around her apartment in MetroCourt. “I am just so afraid that he will die. I don’t want to lose him.”

“I know. None of us do.” Ned paused, “Lucy, do you want to meet me for breakfast?” He groped for the alarm clock, “I know it’s a little late for breakfast and too early for lunch but I could meet you there. Brenda is staying there as well and I was going to drop in to see her..”

Lucy stopped, “I was just downstairs and I haven’t seen her. In fact, I didn’t see her yesterday either. Maybe she is at Sonny’s.”

Ned said quizzically, “Why would she be at Sonny’s?”

Lucy said, “Ned, they are together. I heard her tell Robin.”

Ned shot up straight up in bed and yelled, “They are what?”

Brenda lay in Sonny’s arms after a night of lovemaking. She sighed in happiness as she watched Sonny’s chest raise up and down in sleep. She giggled to herself as she remembered how quickly he had fallen asleep after their last lovemaking session. She leaned over and kissed his chest up to his mouth. When she reached his mouth, she dragged her tongue lightly over his lips in an effort to wake him up.

Sonny’s eyes fluttered opened and he captured her tongue. They share an intimate kiss. “Morning Bren.”

“Morning. Thanks for letting us stay here last night.”

Sonny kissed her forehead. “I love waking up with you next to me. There is nothing I would want more than having this everyday.”

“It’s too soon Sonny.” Brenda snuggled deeper into the covers, “Although I like the sound of that. I am actually thinking of talking to Ned and moving out of the mansion. I would like a place of my own to raise James.”

Sonny smiled down at her, “Well you know, you have a place here with me always. I would love that. But I can see that you would want a place to call home.” He kissed her. “Just think, if you lived with me how much sex we would have? We have a lot to catch up on.”

“You would think of that.” Brenda stood up and put a bathrobe on. “I need to check on James. I will be right back.”

Sonny leaned back on to the pillows and his phone rang. He picked it up, thinking it might be Carly. Needless to say he was very surprised to hear Ned’s voice on the line. “Sonny? Is Brenda there?”

Sonny sighed and rubbed his forehead, “Yes Ned, she is.”

“I would like to talk to her.” Sonny covered the phone and called out to Brenda. She came back and he whispered that it was Ned. A look of dismay crossed her face as she took the phone from Sonny. She listened to Ned and agreed to meet him at the Quartermaines in a half hour.

“I have to go Sonny. Ned is really angry that I stayed here. If I had told him about us, he would have understood.” Brenda sighed. “I just need to straighten things out and then I am going to look for a place to live.”

Sonny pushed her hair out of her eyes, “I know Bren. We knew that this could happen. Promise me something ok?”

    “Sure.”

“I want you to talk to Scott Baldwin as soon as possible.”

Mac was sitting on his hotel bed when Bobbie emerged from the bathroom. “Mac, are you ready to go?”

Mac hung his head. “Yes.” He said in defeat, “I know I have to go back there and get the help I need. Will you come visit next week?”

Bobbie nodded, “Of course I will. On your first visit I will come up.” She looked around the room and gathered the last of her things and put them in her bag. “I will come up with Robert next week.”

“I don’t know if I want to face him yet. So for right now, just you. He will understand.” Mac confided. “I knew you would understand what I have been been going through. I just want to get rid of the images and the desire to drink.”

“And you will Mac. It just takes time.” Bobbie sat down next to him. “The demons go away. You know I am here for you anytime.”

“I know Bobbie and I thank you so much. Let’s go.” Mac stood up and with that, headed towards recovery.

Robin meets Brenda in the hospital cafeteria for a quick lunch. Brenda has brought James in to have a checkup and stopped by to see if Robin could spare some time for a quick lunch. Brenda is already sitting down when Robin approaches, "Hi Bren, what's going on?"

"Oh Robin, how are you? How's that handsome doctor of yours?" Brenda says, taking a sip of her coffee and bouncing James from one knee to the next.

"Patrick's great. He is in surgery right now. The house is almost all painted and we are moving in this weekend. I can't wait for you to come over and see it. We will be having a housewarming party soon. Guess what? Tiffany Hill will be there too" Robin took a bite of her sandwich. "I will be so happy to see her. Can I hold my godchild? I take it he is healthy?"

"100 percentile! Robin, you won't believe what I did." Brenda started.

Robin looked at Brenda and kissed James' head, "Oh Brenda! You slept with Sonny didn't you. I can see it all over your face. Why did you do that?"

Brenda sighed heavily, "He figured out about James. He told me to trust him so I did. I do trust him now, it's like this huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. I told him everything, how Ned came to visit, how we slept together, everything. He completely understood. He wants me to get a lawyer, but I don't think so."

Robin shook her head, "I agree with you Brenda, there is no need to get lawyers involved. This is Ned we are talking about. He isn't going to do anything. Does Ned know that you told Sonny that he is the father?"

Brenda shook her head as they heard a glass fall to the ground and shatter. Behind them stood Lucy, who had obviously heard everything.

Alison was in the living room at Wyndemere playing with Cameron and Spencer when Emily walked in. "Hi Emily! You just missed Nikolas. I'm not sure where he went but he said he would be back in an hour or so. I think he did mention his mother. The number where he canbe reached if you can't reach his cell is on the desk."

"That's ok Alison." Emily sat down on the couch and looked down at Alison on the floor. "I actually came here to talk to you."

"To me? What for?" a surprised Alison said.

Emily leaned forward and picked up Spencer. "Well, you know I am not happy with the fact that Elizabeth is living here, but Nikolas is being stubborn and won't make her leave. I am asking that you watch Elizabeth and make sure that you know, nothing is happening between Nikolas and Elizabeth. And of course tell me everything that is going on here."

Alison leaned back on her hands and regarded Emily. After a minute of silence descended between them she spoke softly, "No Emily. Sorry, I won't do your dirty work. If you are having problems with Nikolas than you have to deal with them. I won't take part in your scheme."

"You like my brother don't you?" Emily stood up and started walking Spencer around the room as he was starting to fuss a little.

"You know I do Emily but that is not the point. The point is I will not spy on your fiance for you which is what you want me to do." Alison replied.

Emily continued to meander around the room, "Well my point is that Jason trusts me more than anyone. I have a lot of say with him. I can help your relationship with him or I can hurt it with just a few simple words."

Alison burst out laughing. "Are you for real? Emily, you have no idea what you are saying."

"I will even pay you for your services." Emily interjected.

Alison continued to laugh, "You, you make me sound like I am a whore. My services aren't for sale Emily." Alison said with scorn, "The fact of the matter is that I probably have more money than you anyways, I just choose not to access it. Now if you will excuse me, I need to feed Spencer and Cameron." With that, Alison grabbed Cameron's hand and took Spencer from Emily. She left behind a very upset and frustrated Emily.

Lulu and Dillion were up in her room at the Spencer house. Ever since that day at Kelly's they had been meeting secretly, mostly at Lulu's. They were on her bed kissing when they heard voices approach. "Quick, get under the bed!" Dillion rolled off the bed and under it just as Laura opened the door. With her was Tiffany.

"Hi honey, what was that noise?" Laura said.

A flushed Lulu answered, "Um, nothing. I uh, dropped a book, see?" Lulu held up one of her textbooks.

Laura walked closer, "Lulu, you are all flushed, are you getting a cold? This is the flu season and I don't want you getting sick." Laura felt her forehead, "No your forehead feels fine. But you aren't sick are you? Tiffany, she doesn't look sick to you does she?"

With a knowing glance at the open window, Tiffany said, "No, she looks fine, great in fact. Lulu, do you want to come downstairs for a while?"

"No," Lulu said, looking around nervously, "I have some studying to do."

Laura kissed her daughter's forehead, "Ok, honey. Nikolas is on his way here. In fact he should be here now. He wants to talk to you about something, I think Lucky. I will send him up when he gets here."

Lulu scrambled off her bed, "On second thought, I think I will go downstairs. I am kind of thirsty." With a glance behind her, Lulu closed the door.

Tiffany stayed back and whispered to Lulu, "I had a feeling you were going to say that. Next time, tell him to tuck his feet in. One foot was hanging out by the corner."

    Lulu gasped, "My mother."

    "She didn't see."

Bobbie got out of her car and opened up the Brownstone. Her shift was over and she was bone tired. It had been a long day in the OR. The phone rang and she grabbed in and barked a hello.

"Bobbie? It's Mac. I need your help."

Robin walks into MetroCourt looking for Brenda. It had been a while since the two of them had seen each other and talked. Robin sits down and orders a cup of tea. Five minutes pass before Brenda strolls in. “Hi Robin!” Brenda takes her leather jacket off, “How are you?”

Robin sips her tea, “I am good. The house is finally all put together and you should be getting an invitation shortly to our party.”

“Great! I told Sonny about it and he and I are going to come together. Ned found out about us so there really is nothing to hide anymore.” Brenda confided.

“You’re kidding.” Robin leaned forward, “Ned must not have been happy.”

Brenda shook her head, “He wasn’t. I told him I want to move out, which is something that Sonny and I discussed.”

Robin interrupted, “You aren’t moving in with Sonny are you?”

“Oh no.” Brenda paused and ordered a tea and a salad, “I want to live on my own with my son. I have tried to talk to Ned about it, but with Alan being so sick, it hasn’t been the right time. I have found a small house that I want to rent. It’s small, just three bedrooms, perfect for James and me. It’s actually near your house.”

Concerned, Robin leaned back in her chair, “As long as you know what you are doing Brenda. I have seen what Sonny has done to you in the past. I don’t want to see him hurt you again.”

“Everyone keeps saying that.” Brenda confided, “But I am older and my priorities are straight.” She took a bite of her salad. “Oh, did I tell you, I have an appointment with Scott Baldwin to discuss custody of James.”

Robin was stunned, “Are you sure you should do that Brenda? Have you talked to Ned about this? Because this just sounds like Sonny talking.”

Brenda waved her fork around, “No, it’s not Sonny talking.” She said succinctly. “Let’s stop talking about me and Sonny. How’s Patrick?”

“I don’t know,” Robin said slowly. “The last couple days he has been sort of weird. Like he’s pulling away. I don’t really know how to approach him about it.”

“What do you mean pulling away?”

Robin sipped her tea again, “It’s like he is a million miles away. I ask him a question and he brushes me off. Something is bothering him and I don’t know what it is.” Robin paused a minute, “Brenda, he doesn’t even want to have sex right now.”

Brenda toyed with her tea cup, “Well, have you asked him about it?”

“I don’t know what to say to him. I don’t know how to start the conversation. I know he loves me, otherwise why would he surprise me with a house.” Robin stated matter of factly.

“All I can say is be truthful. Ask him if something at work happened. Maybe something happened that you aren’t aware of.” Brenda reasoned.

“True,” Robin glanced at her watch, “I have to go meet my father. Did you see the debate yesterday? I promised that I would help Laura so I am meeting my father and going to the Spencer House.”

“I know, that was pretty wild.” Brenda said, standing up and hugging her friend. “Talk to Patrick, it’s probably nothing. Just your imagination. Just talk to him.”

“And you, be careful. Give my best to Sonny.” Robin hugged Brenda back.

Emily walked into Wyndemere in search of Nikolas. She desperately wanted to patch things up with him. She felt that her grasp on her life was slipping away and she needed to control that. She walked through the foyer and into his study, where he sat, his back to her. “Nikolas, can I talk to you?” Emily asked softly.

Nikolas slowly turned around, “What do you want Emily? I thought we said everything that needed to be said.”

Emily walked closer to him, “Nikolas I am sorry. I shouldn’t have said what I said. You are right, I am jealous of Elizabeth. I am angry at her and I shouldn’t take it out on you.”

“You’re right Emily, you shouldn’t.” Nikolas walked around his desk and sat down on the couch, “You have nothing to be jealous of. Elizabeth is my sister in law. I am just helping her out.”

Emily dropped her head, her hair flying forward, “I know that in my heart, but I can’t help feeling that she is going to try to steal you away from me. She has Jason at the snap of her fingers. You too. She probably only has to smile pretty and Lucky will take her back.”

“Uncalled for Emily.” Nikolas scolded. “That is completely unfair and you know it.”

“I just don’t know why she has to stay here.” Emily pleaded.

“Emily, where else would she go?”

“I don’t know, the Brownstone maybe? I want to work at getting back together with you but it won’t work with her in this house. If you want to get back together, she has to go.” Emily issued the ultimatum.

Nikolas stood up and said in an exasperated tone, “Seriously Emily, if you want to get back together than you have to change your attitude towards Elizabeth. I don't take kindly to ultimatiums. Don’t you trust me?”

    “I do but…”

Emily was interrupted when Elizabeth slowly walked into the room, “Nikolas, I am in labor. My pains are about ten minutes apart and I called the doctor. Can you drive me in?”

“Of course I will. Where is your suitcase?” Nikolas grabbed his keys from his desk, Emily completely forgotten.

“By the door.” Elizabeth grimaced in pain as a contraction racked her body.

Emily threw her arms up in anger. “Oh perfect. Again you run to Elizabeth’s rescue when I need you. You realize that you haven’t even asked me how my father is!” Emily half shouted.

Nikolas apologized, “I’m sorry Emily. Sarah was here and told us how he was and I am glad he is getting better. Now I have to get Elizabeth to the hospital. Can’t you see that?” He turned to Elizabeth, “Alison knows that we are leaving?” Elizabeth nodded. “Good.” With that he guided Elizabeth out the door.

Emily watched the two of them leave and stomped her foot in frustration.

Hours had passed and Elizabeth was in full labor. Jason, Lucky and Nikolas, along with Sarah were in the delivery room with her. Lucky and Nikolas were watching the Super Bowl while Jason paced back and forth. Sarah tried to keep conversation going by discussing baby names. “Liz, since you are probably having this baby today, you should name it after one of the teams or something close to it.”

Jason looked at Sarah and said quietly, “No.”

“If it’s a boy or a girl, I am NOT naming this child Peyton. I hate that name.” Elizabeth said.

One of the doctors came in and examined Elizabeth. “Ok Elizabeth, you are 10 centimeters dilated. It’s time to start pushing. You can only have one person in here though.”

Elizabeth looked imploringly at Lucky who silently agreed to leave. Jason stayed behind and Bobbie came in to help with the delivery. “Ok Elizabeth, once you feel the contractions, we want you to start to push, ok?” Bobbie said.

Elizabeth nodded and when the next contraction came, she pushed hard. “Great job Elizabeth.” Bobbie encouraged.

Jason held her hand and wiped her forehead with a cloth, “You are doing great Liz.”

“Arrgghhhh” Elizabeth grunted as she pushed again. Over and over she pushed for close to thirty minutes before her baby was born.

Elizabeth was crying as the baby was lifted onto her stomach. “Elizabeth, it’s a girl. A beautiful baby girl.” Jason cried, he too wiping away tears. He cut the umbilical cord and Bobbie took the baby to clean her off. “Oh Elizabeth she is gorgeous.”

“I want to hold her.” Elizabeth cried. Soon Bobbie brought her over and Elizabeth and Jason gazed with love at their child. “She is beautiful.”

“Elizabeth we never discussed a name for her.” Jason whispered, kissing her forehead.

Elizabeth cuddled her child to her and leaned back against the pillows, “How about Ava Catherine? She looks like an Ava to me. Ava Catherine Morgan sounds good.”

Jason repeated it to himself a few times and broke into a smile, “I like it a lot. Ava it is. Want me to bring in everyone?”

Bobbie was near the door and overheard Jason, “I’ll do it. Jason, you hold your daughter.” Jason took Ava and kissed her forehead as she let out a howl. Nikolas and Sarah rushed into the room while Lucky stood rooted at the door, taking in the closeness of Jason and Elizabeth. He caught Elizabeth’s eye. His expression glazed over in anger and he turned on his heel and left.

This episode is dedicated to Ava Catherine, born December 28, 2005 and passed December 28 2005. You will always be loved

Brenda breaks away from Sonny’s side to go help Robin in the kitchen. Robin is taking food out of the refrigerator and almost drops a tray which Brenda laughingly catches. “Oh thank you Bren.”

“No problem Robin.” Brenda sets the tray of sandwiches on the table, “How’s it going? I would say your party is quite the success, minus Carly.”

Robin kicked the refrigerator closed. “Sorry about Carly, I couldn’t exactly kick her out when she showed up with Bobbie. Things are going great. How are things with you? How was yesterday? I never had a chance to ask you.”

Brenda sighed. “It was difficult. Ned and I are barely talking and it was so hard. I miss our friendship.”

“I know Bren. But you have to get the DNA established and then you and Ned can work out an agreement. It’s as simple as that. I know you two can do it.”

“I wish it was that simple.” Brenda poured herself a glass a wine. “But Ned’s sticking point is that I stay away from Sonny and I refuse to do that. Would you give up Patrick over this?”

Robin glanced over at Brenda, “Come on Brenda, you and Sonny and me and Patrick are different scenarios. They do not compare.”

Brenda said stubbornly, “I just wish I could have my son with Ned and my life with Sonny and everything would be fine. Why does so much drama have to be involved?”

Robin laughed, “Because you are Brenda Barrett.”

“Damn right about that!” The two laughed. Neither one noticed that Carly was lurking at the door.

Elizabeth was sitting on an armchair when Nikolas came up behind her with a plate of food from her. “Here you go Liz. You need to eat.”

Elizabeth smiled softly, “Thanks Nikolas. I am hungry and the food is so good. It is so good to be talking to everyone. I love this house.” Elizabeth babbled, embarrassed by the kiss that they had yet to discuss.

“What’s wrong Elizabeth?” Nikolas asked softly.

Elizabeth shook her head, her wavy hair falling over her shoulders. “Come on Liz, this is me you are talking to. You can tell me anything.” Nikolas said.

“I am, well, I am going to file for divorce.” Elizabeth looked up at her brother in law. “Lucky has proven to me that he will not forgive me. I can’t go on like this.”

Nikolas leaned back and gazed at Elizabeth, “Do you think you should think more about this? You and Lucky have been together for so long.”

“What about you and Emily? Are you two going to get back together?” Elizabeth retorted.

Nikolas hung his head, “That’s a lost cause Elizabeth and I think you know it.”

    “Do I?” Elizabeth’s eyes widened.

“Yeah, I think you do.” Nikolas said. With that, he searched her eyes and smiled. He definitely liked what he saw in there.

Robert grabs a beer and makes his way through his daughter’s house. Up ahead in the foyer was Tracy, sipping a glass of wine and looking bored out of her mind. Sensing an opportunity, he strode up to her, “Tracy. How are you this lovely afternoon?”

Tracy looked at him scornfully, “Oh it’s you.” She sipped her wine and looked him up and down. “What the hell do you want?”

“What I want, well lady I don’t think you are woman enough to give me.” Robert flirted.

“Excuse me?” Tracy’s voice could have frozen blood.

“You heard me Tracy.” Robert leaned against the wall. He dipped his head towards her and whispered. “I think underneath that cold façade is a warm woman dying to get out. When was the last time that Tracy Quartermaine came out to play?”

Tracy pushed him back, “God Scorpio can’t you come up with something better?” She said drolly.

“I think you want to get out of here as much as I do. I love my daughter, but this is her party and I feel very old. Let’s blow this place and go get us some drinks. You on?” Robert smirked.

Tracy took a minute to think about it. She put down her glass and said, “Let’s go.” She regally walked past him towards the door.

“Ned!” Carly called out to him, “I need to talk to you.” Carly found him on the back deck by himself.

Ned turned around, a beer in his hand. “What do you want Carly?”

Carly grabbed a beer and popped the top off. She took a healthy sip from it before speaking. “I was just wondering how James was. You know, your son.”

Ned was about to drink from his beer when his hand froze, “What did you say Carly?”

“I asked you how your son was. I know that James is your son.” Carly smiled beguilingly. “Don’t even try to deny it. I heard Brenda talking about the DNA test with Robin. I just never thought that you were the mystery father. I credited you with better taste.”

“What do you want Carly?” Ned demanded impatiently.

Carly walked slowly around him, making sure that she wasn’t heard. “I am going to assume that we want the same things. You probably don’t want your son to be raised around Sonny as much as I want my sons to be anywhere near that tramp. I propose that we work together to reach our goals.”

    “Go on.” Ned said neutrally.

“I will use everything in my power to break them up. If anyone can do it, I can. I will just need your help from time to time.” Carly said confidently. “I will get back to you on details. I know your DNA test is coming back soon. Are you sure that Sonny won’t interfere with the results? I can ensure that he won’t.”

Ned looked around uncomfortably. He didn’t want to make a deal with the devil but when it came to his son, he saw no other choice. “Not a word to anyone Carly. I will call you.”

Sarah left AJ talking with Edward and slowly made a beeline towards Robin. Catching her alone, she asked if she could talk to her. Robin agreed, and the two went to the kitchen. Once there, Robin turned to her with a welcoming smile, “Is something wrong Sarah?”

“Well Robin, I have a problem that has been bothering me and I was hoping you would be able to help me.” Sarah twirled a piece of her hair around her finger and smiled. “AJ told me you were an honest person and I could count on you for giving me good advice.”

“I think AJ is giving me too much credit.” Robin laughed, “but I would be happy to listen. Or would Elizabeth be a better person for you.”

Sarah shook her head, “No, I need to talk to you. I want to tell you about this relationship I was in before I met AJ. I was involved with a doctor. I was in love with him and I thought he was in love with me. He was so handsome, tall and dark with an arrogant edge to him. I thought I could cure him of that.”

“We had been living together in Santa Barbara for several months when he told me about a medical conference that he had to go to. Here in Port Charles. I kissed him goodbye and expected to see him in a week. Except he never came back. He left me alone, with all the bills, everything.”

Realization began to dawn on Robin, “Sarah, I don’t…”

Sarah kept going as if Robin hadn’t spoken, “And then I turned up pregnant. Pregnant and alone. I had to have an abortion and now I can’t have kids Robin. What do I do? How do I tell AJ?”

Robin swallowed and started to say, “Sarah are you talking about…”

“Yes Robin, she is talking about me.” Patrick said, anger pouring out of him as he stared down Sarah. “What the hell are you doing Sarah?”

Sarah smiled, “Game, set, match lover….” Robin fled from the room, Patrick racing after her.

Due to storyline decisions, executive producer/headwriter Tishy has elected to let go of Ingo Rademacher as Jax and Sarah Joy Brown as Carly. Their exits will be within the next two weeks. "We will always want to keep the door open for them, they are wonderful actors." explained Tishy, "Unfortunately with the viewer feedback we have received, both Carly and Jax have no room on the canvas at this time. Both Ingo and Sarah knew it was coming and are happy with the decision, they want to move on."

Carly and Jax will ride off in the sunset, happily ever ever. Their fans will enjoy their departure. Those of us at "The Citizens of Port Charles" wish them well.

Executive producer Tishy also goes on to add that Arianne Zuker has been let go as Sarah Webber. "It was not that we don't like Arianne Zuker, personally I love her and think she is a wonderful actress. However, the direction of the character is changing and so will her look. We look forward to using Arianne in the future, perhaps in a role made for her."

That being said, Rebecca Budig will take over the duties of Sarah Webber. Expect Sarah to arrive in late January, early February.

"Sonny, I think we should go." breathed Brenda. She was breathing heavily and her heart was pounding. She could feel Sonny's heart racing. "In fact Sonny, I know we should go."

Sonny with his lips inches from hers pleaded, "Brenda, please." He put his hands on both sides of her face, framing it. He looked deeply into her eyes and held her stare. He leaned in closer and she responded. Her lips touched his and they began passionately kissing. Sonny couldn't get enough of her. He was exactly where he wanted to be, kissing Brenda. Her soft lips molded perfectly to his like they always had. Her tongue tasted like the fine wine that she drank at dinner. His breathing was ragged when she manuevered her hand up his chest and pushed him gently away.

"Sonny," she said softly, "Please stop."

Reluctantly Sonny pulled himself together and put the car in gear. Brenda was staring out the window. A heavy silence fell between them which turned the mood awkward. "Sonny, I am sorry."

"Brenda, it's ok. I understand." Sonny reassured.

"Thank you." She said simply and continued watching the snow fall.

Lucy walked into Metro Court dressed in a tight velour red dress. Her confidence was low since Scott rejected her. She was suppossed to reject him and he go after her. Not him agreeing with her that their relationship should end. There was a Christmas party/benefit being held at Metro Court to help raise money for the hospital. She got a drink and glanced around the room. She couldn't believe what she saw, Scott and Alexis! Lucy put her drink down and went over to say hello. "Hi Scott, hi Alexis, are you two having a good time? I wasn't aware that either one of you liked classical music." A local string quartet was playing that night.

Alexis smiled at her and responded, "Actually I do. I love classical music. I didn't realize that you did too Scott."

Scott smiled lazily at her, "Of course I do. I have been listening to it all my life."

"You have?" Lucy asked incrediously. "How come you never told me that?"

"You never asked Lucy. Now if you don't mind, Alexis and I were going to go sit down and talk some more. I'm sure we will see you later Lucy." Scott grinned and cockily guided Alexis away.

"Ta ta!" Lucy waved them off, although furious. She watched the two of them and didn't notice Ned come up to her.

"Hi Lucy." Ned said, picking up a glass of wine from a nearby waiter. "You are looking lovely tonight. Of course, you always do."

Lucy appraised him and cocked an eyebrow. She looked over at Scott and looked back at Ned, "Thank you Ned. You like classical music? I suppose you do, you being a Quartermaine and all."

Ned shrugged, "It's ok. I just needed to get out of the house." He looked around the room and saw Scott and Alexis. He chuckled, "I can't believe it."

    "What?"

"Scott and Alexis. Look at him." Ned used his glass to point to the two of them, "You can tell that Scott has one thing on his mind by how he is leaning into her and talking with his hands. Classic Scott Baldwin moves. You should know."

Lucy sighed, "Tell me about it." Lucy looked around, "Ned, want to get out of here? This really isn't my sort of thing and I have put in my apperance. Let's go upstairs."

Halfway home, Sonny's car slipped on black ice and went into a snowbank. Neither Sonny nor Brenda were hurt, but Sonny couldn't get the car in gear. He called AAA and Max to come pick them up. Max had the Range Rover and would be there in no time. Although Sonny didn't mind if he took all night. He looked over at Brenda, who was shivering. "Cold?" When she nodded, he gave her his coat and wrapped it around her.

"Thanks Sonny." She sat and contemplated him, "You are not mad are you?"

He smiled indulgently at her, "Brenda no. I know you need time. I am willing to give you that time. From the moment I saw you at the Nurse's Ball, it was like the first time I saw you at the pier. Remember that? You took my breath away then too. You still do. I know you are thinking of the bad times, but we also had good times too. I remember dancing together on our second date and how wonderful it felt to hold you in my arms. The trips to Puerto Rico."

Brenda interrupted him, "I remember getting shot at in the shower and you throwing me out on my hands and knees. I remember watching you get shot in front of me. I will not subject my child to that. I love James far too much for that kind of life."

"Brenda I have three children. I am out of the mob." Sonny explained.

    "I don't believe you."

"Believe this." He leaned over and kissed her again and again. She gave in to the moment and wrapped her arms around him pulling him closer. He pulled her against his chest and started rubbing his hands all over her. She contemplated making love to him when a car pulled up. Max was behind them. Sonny swore under his breath.

"Were just getting started Brenda" Sonny said.

Lucy walked into her penthouse and faced Ned. Not having a care in the world, she closed the door and walked to Ned. He cocked an eyebrow at her as she raised her mouth for a kiss. Ned kissed her thouroughly and hungrily. He pressed her close so she could feel his growing arousal. Without a word, she led him to the bedroom and flipped on the light. She stripped and got into bed. Ned followed her quickly, kissing her passionately. He entered her quickly as she wrapped her legs around his. They moved in time together. She gasped for breath as she scratched her nails down his back, drawing blood. The came together and both screamed. Ned rolled off her and they faced the ceiling.

"Next time, you are on top. I will be ready when you are." Ned said.

Lucy grabbed him and said, "I'm ready."

It was a couple days after Christmas and the decorations were still up at Wyndemere. Lucky had just gotten off his shift at the PCPD. Talking to his mother had made him realize that he should make a step towards reconciling with Liz. He decided to go over and see if she would talk to him. He really wouldn't blame her if she didn't.

When he arrived, the first person he saw was Nikolas. "Hi Nikolas. How is Spencer?"

Nikolas looked up from his desk, "He's good Lucky. What's going on? Is Laura all right?"

"Mom is fine. I was wondering if Liz was arouind. I want to talk to her." Lucky shifted uncomfortably from one foot to the other.

Nikolas sighed and laid down his pen, "She's taking a nap Lucky. You're not here to start a fight are you?" He glanced warily at his brother, "Because she is getting enough grief from Emily as it is. It can't be good for the baby. Frankly Lucky, I am worried about her."

Lucky felt the anger grow inside of him, "Who are you to judge me Nikolas? I just want to talk to her. Jesus Nikolas, she's my wife and I just want to talk to her. Last time I checked, there was no crime in that."

Elizabeth waddled into the room. She looked from one brother to the other, "What's going on here?"

Nikolas looked at Lucky, "Lucky wants to talk to you. You don't have too you know."

Elizabeth's heart leaped. Hopefully Lucky will take her and Cameron back, "It's ok Nikolas. I want to talk to him."

Nikolas walked out of the room as Lucky and Liz sat down on the couch. "Lucky, how are you? I am so happy to see you. I am so glad you came." Liz gushed, happiness oozing out of her pores.

"I am all right Liz" Lucky looked at her swollen belly, knowing that the child in there was not his. "How is the baby?"

    "Fine."

"Good." He stopped and started again, "You know, I thought I could do this Liz. I really did. But looking at you reminds me of your betrayal. I just can't get over the fact that you had sex with Jason." He looked away from her and focused on a picture of he, Liz, Nikolas and Emily. "Seriously Liz, do you honestly expect me to think you only had sex with him once?"

Elizabeth laid a hand on his knee and spoke gently, "Yes Lucky, it was one time. Ask Jason, he will tell you the same thing. He was upset about Sam and I had just caught you with Maxie. Do you know how that killed me? Walking in and seeing her holding on to you? I am sorry that she killed herself, I am."

"I have to question that Liz." Lucky shifted and faced her.

Liz felt like he punched her, "I can't believe you would say that about me. I am your wife. Don't you know me better than that?"

Lucky stood up, "I thought I did, then I found out you slept with Jason. Look this was a bad idea. I'll get in touch with you later, when I am better. I don't want to get you too stressed." With that he walked out of the room. To Elizabeth, it felt like he was walking out of her life forever. She threw herself facedown on the couch and broke out into sobs.

Nikolas walked in and saw Elizabeth crying. He was angry that Lucky got her so upset. He gathered her in his arms and soothed her. He pushed her hair back and tried to make her smile. Finally she started to smile and to laugh.

Neither one noticed Emily at the entrance of the living room. She turned and fled.

Scott walked into the courthouse with an agenda. He was on a mission and that mission was Alexis Davis. He reached her office and walked past her protesting assistant. Alexis was sitting at her desk, going over a deposition. Scott closed the door behind him. "Counselor. You are looking lovely today."

Alexis took off her glasses and responded, "Scott. What do I owe this pleasure? Have you committed any crimes and want to turn yourself in?"

"No Alexis," He walked over and sat down across from her, "You don't mind do you?"

Amused, Alexis said, "Oh please do."

"Well counselor, I was wondering if we could, you know, have a meeting of the minds you could say." Scott waved his hands as he spoke, "Perhaps over dinner. You dress up, I dress up, we go to a nice place and have something good to eat."

"You are asking me out?" Alexis asked, astonished. "Who put you up to this? Sonny? Someone must have." Her eyes narrowed in suspicion.

Scott leaned back and grinned sardonically, "Now why would you think something like that counselor?"

Alexis also leaned back and smiled, waving her pen, "Oh I don't now. To get a good laugh at my expense. So Mr Baldwin, I will pass on this charming invitation. But thank you, I have, and pardon the pun, enough on my plate."

"You have to eat counselor. I won't leave until I get the answer I want." Scott grinned. "Trust me, I won't leave."

"Well then you will be here a long time." Alexis put her glasses back on and continued working. Five minutes stretched to ten and Scott was still there. "Oh for God's sake Scott. You are still here? What do you want?"

"All I ask is dinner. Come on, it'll be fun."

Alexis sighed in exasperation. "Will it get you out of my office?" Scott nodded. "Then fine. Dinner it is."

"Perfect. Now you have to tell me when." Scott decreed.

Alexis whipped off her glasses and glanced at her daily planner, "Honestly Scott, this week is booked. It will have to be next week. I am in court most of the week."

Scott headed for the door, "I'll call ya."

Sarcastically Alexis called, "Oh. Please. Do."

    Bobbie confronts Mac
  17. Tishy
Mac rushed forward, "Maxie where have you been? We have been so worried about you. How could you miss the funeral? Did something happen?" He hugged her close and looked her deep into her eyes.

"You could say that." Maxie said as she checked out the crowd in the foyer of the Quartermaine mansion.

"Well what happened?" Mac asked. "Are you ok? I have been going out of my mind with worry for you."

Maxie pulled back and whispered, "I'm sorry Uncle Mac." Then she reached inside his coat pocket and grabbed his gun. In a cold, hard voice she said, "Georgie, get out of here. GO upstairs or something. I don't want you here for this."

In that moment, Taggert, Jason, Sonny's bodyguards and the other cops in the room pulled out their guns and trained them on Maxie. Mac stepped forward and said calmly, "Maxie, what's going on? Everyone else, lower your guns." Reluctantly they followed his orders.

Georgie stepped forward, "Maxie what are you doing? Are you insane?"

"I'm drunk but I know EXACTLY what I am doing." Maxie retorted to the crowd . "You know, I am looking around. Where is my father? Did the great Frisco Jones have some important assignment that kept him away from his ex wife's and the mother of his children's funeral? Not that he was ever up for Father of the Year, but you get the picture. Sean, I see you could make it and you are the head honcho at the WSB. Why the hell isn't my father here?"

Sean cautiously left Tiffany's side, "Maxie I tried everything I could. I even talked to the President. For national security reasons he couldn't be released from his assignment. I am so sorry that he couldn't be here, but he will be in touch with you and Georgie soon."

Maxie scoffed, "Tell him not to bother. There was only one person who loved me uncondtionally and she is gone."

"Maxie we all love you. Let us help you." Mac pleaded.

Maxie's eyes roamed the room and landed on Lucky. With comtempt in her voice she says, "No you don't." She again glances around the room and sees Taggert standing next to Alexis. Angrily she said, "I had a little visit this morning from our favorite neighborhood detective. Uncle Mac, you should be real proud. He always gets his man." She finished sarcastically.

Mac turns around and demands, "What did you say to Maxie that has her this upset?"

Alexis cleared her throat. "Mac, Now is not the right time for this."

"You questioned Maxie without telling me? What about some professional courtesy here? My God Alexis! You couldn't have consulted me!"

Alexis said quietly, "We were just following up like any normal investigation. It was just a couple questions. Maxie is well over the legal age. We were looking to rule her out. We never believed that she was the driver of the car."

Sonny and Jason were moving closer together. Maxie noticed this, pointed the gun at Elizabeth and said, "If you move another inch towards me, I shoot St. Elizabeth here. Understand me? My mother is dead and I have nothing to lose. Understand me, nothing."

"All right Maxie, we just don't want anyone to get hurt." Sonny said. "There are a lot more people in here with guns that know how to use them. If anyone is going to get hurt, it's probably going to be you."

Maxie snorted, "Do you really think I care Mr Mobster? My mother is never coming back and guess what people. The reason I didn't show up at my own mother's funeral is because Taggert asked me where my car was. Yes everyone, if you haven't figured it out, I was the one driving the car that hit my mother. I killed her."

Shock and gasps went through the room. "I don't believe it Maxie. Taggert is wrong." Mac said, "Tell her Taggert."

Taggert walked towards Maxie and she swung the gun at him, "Maxie we can work through this. All I asked you today was where your car was. I don't know anything else. It's still an ongoing investigation"

Maxie put the gun to her head, "Get away from me!" Everyone backed away and Maxie started to cry. "Damnit I was upset that night. As I was leaving, alone again I saw Lucky kissing St. Elizabeth and I started to cry. You used me Lucky for sex. He used me and threw me away like yesterdays trash. I was crying because it should be me on his arm! Especially since that baby isn't even his!....That's right Elizabeth. I know your secret. Were you ever going to tell him? We all know that after Sam died Liz and Jason slept together. Their was a paternity test and I saw it first Liz. The baby is Jason's and you are lying about it!"

Jason stared straight ahead, but Lucky turned to Elizabeth, "Is this true? You slept with Jason?"

"You're not going to believe me Lucky? I just killed my mother and have admitted it to a room of people. I have nothing to lose. So I was crying and driving and I wiped my eyes and heard a bump. I looked back but I didn't see anything. It was dark out. So I kept going. I didn't put two and two together until Taggert came to see me. Then I realized that I killed my mother. How do you think I can live with that?" Maxie sobbed.

Georgie stepped forward, "Maxie, it's ok. It was an accident. I still love you with all my heart. You know that. We are closer than sisters, you are my best friend. I need you in my life."

Maxie started waving the gun around, "SHUT UP! Everyone just shut up. Georgie, get out of here please!!!! I have had it. I can't go on like this. So Lucky, what do you think about your St. Elizabeth now?"

Lulu crossed her arms and said, "You are making this up because my brother chose Liz over you."

Luke put his hand on her shoulder and drew her back behind him, "Shhh."

"Oh yeah Lulu? What about at the Nurse's Ball when you were kissing my sister's boyfriend? What do you have to say about that?" Maxie yelled. "You act all virtuous but you are just like all the other members of your family.

Georgie flew forward but Robert stopped her from getting to Maxie, "Stop it Maxie!... Just stop it. Please!" She pleaded.

"Why all the Spencers women are sluts. Look at Ruby, she ran a brothel. Bobbie, well can't get much sluttier than her, her being a prostutite and all. Oh, except maybe for Carly who what, has slept with every man over the age of 18 that she isn't related to in Port Charles. St Elizabeth is carrying Jason's child. Laura has an illegitmate son and Lulu is making out with Dillion at the Nurse's Ball. Runs in the family." Maxie said spitefully.

Luke angrily said, "Look here Maxie, just stop it. You need some help here. You are blaming everyone else in the world but you are the one who needs help. Your family wants to help. Let them.

Robin edged forward, "Please Maxie. You and Georgie are the closest things that I have to sisters. I love you and want to help. Please let us. Your mother was in an accident and we can help you."

Sobbing, Maxie pleaded, "Lucky take me back. It's you I need."

Lucky edged closer to his wife, "You need to listen to your family."

"You're right." Maxie stood still and took a deep breath, "I need my Mom." She pointed the gun at her head and pulled the trigger.

Tishy: Today we got the chance to sit down with two of our favorite actresses from General Hospital, Sarah Joy Brown and Vanessa Marcil. Here is an excerpt of the interview...

Welcome ladies, how does it feel to be back?

    Vanessa: It feels great
Sarah: Like slipping into a nice warm pair of slippers. I feel like I never left. I love the character of Carly.
Vanessa: Oh and I love Brenda too. She is so much fun to play.

Tishy: Rumor has it that Carly and Brenda will be interacting a lot?

Sarah: Well...they have been involved with a lot of the same men.
Vanessa: Hey I had em first!
    Sarah: I have Maurice's kids!
    Vanessa: Very true...

Tishy: What can you tell us about any storylines coming up?

Vanessa: The first several episodes start with the Nurse's Ball. There are several acts, plus there is a lot of action off the stage going on

    Tishy: Like what?

Sarah: Well, we really can't give away much, but there is some action between Lulu and Dillion. Maxie stirs things up a little. Carly of course makes a scene. That's really about all I can say.
Vanessa: Something big does happen. But we can't reveal it.

Tishy: Oh come on, can't you tell us who it involves?

Vanessa: Well, a beloved member of the show.
Sarah: It will be the umbrella for a lot of stories, and when I mean a lot, I mean a lot. Port Charles won't be the same.

Tishy: Well, that was the short excerpt of an interview with Sarah Brown and Vanessa Marcil. Hopefully later this week, we can get another interview with a cast member and find out what other storylines are going to happen!

Chaos reigned in the air as shots rang out. Nikolas jumped on Lulu as a bullet missed them. The bullet ricocheted off the wall and hit Lucky in the ankle. Lucky was also hit in the hip. Luke, hit in the arm, scrambled over to Laura who was not moving. “I need a doctor! My wife has been hit! My kids! Lulu! Are you hit? Lucky, Nikolas? Where the hell are the doctors?” Luke screamed. "My Laura is bleeding!"

Lulu was in tears and Nikolas patted her down, “Luke, Lulu is ok. Just shaken up. Lucky was hit twice. What about Laura?” Nikolas shouted.

Luke cradled Laura as Patrick jumped onto the stage. “Patrick, she’s bleeding everywhere. You have to stop this.” He gently lay Laura down onto the stage, “Who did this? Did anyone see?”

Robin rushed forward to attend to Luke and Lucky. She ripped a tablecloth and made tourniquets out of them. She tied them above Lucky's ankle to stanch his bleeding there. She moved over to Luke and fastened a tourniquet above his arm. He told her to go back to Lucky, which she did. Lucky was moaning in pain. “Be quiet Lucky. Monica has called 911, they will be here shortly. I am just going to hold this on your hip to stop the bleeding, is that all right?” Lucky nodded his assent. Robin looked at Nikolas, “Nikolas, just stay with Lulu and bring her over to Bobbie. I don’t want her going into shock.”

    “Where’s Scorpio?” Luke bellowed.

The paramedics arrived then and rushed to the stage. Taggert and Mac ran to the stage to start questioning people. Luke yelled, “Where the hell is Scorpio? Where is Robert?”

Robert came forward, “I am right here.”

“I need you to find out exactly where the hell Baldwin was when this happened. I bet my bank account that he is behind this!”

Sonny, concerned that he couldn’t find Brenda walked outside with Max. The two of them walked around, searching for her. “Boss! Come quick!” Max was over by the wall. He was standing over an unconscious Brenda, who was half covered by the bushes.

“Brenda, Brenda, wake up honey.” Sonny knelt down next to her and gently slapped her face. “Max, go in and get some paramedics. Then I want you to call Leticia and tell her you are coming to get her. Call Ned Ashton and tell him what has happened. Tell him you are bringing James and Leticia to him and you are to stay with them. Got it? Now go!” Max rushed off.

“Brenda, I need you to wake up. Please baby.” Sonny kissed her as a paramedic came running over. “Please help her. We found her here in the bushes. I have no idea what happened.” Sonny stood up as the paramedics started to work on her. He ran his hands over his face and stood there watching, worried. “Please tell me she will be all right.”

“Sir, we need to bring her to General Hospital. What is her name?”

    “Brenda Barrett.”

The doors flew open and the stretchers carrying an unconscious Laura, an alert Lucky and angry Luke came out. Following behind were Robert, who was talking on a cell phone, Patrick, Robin, Monica, Bobbie and Carly. Nikolas and Lulu were on their heels. Catching sight of Sonny, Carly stopped. “What the hell is going on Sonny?”

“It’s Brenda. Max and I found her out here, unconscious.”

“Maybe she knows who shot up my family.” Carly said belligerently.

Sonny stared down Carly, “Leave it alone Carly. My main concern is Brenda at this point and her son.” He started to walk away from her.

Carly caught his arm. “Do you want to ride to the hospital with me?”

Sonny shook his head. “I will not let Brenda out of my sight for a minute.”

The doors flew open to the emergency room and Noah was waiting. “Put Laura in trauma room three!” He yelled. He motioned for Bobbie to follow him. “We need to get this bullet out. Patrick will get the bullets out of Lucky. Emily will assist Patrick. Monica will stabilize Luke and then you and I will operate on Luke. I need you to scrub in now.” Bobbie complied.

In his room, Luke was yelling out for Robert and Lulu. Lulu, still in tears, came running in. “Daddy, are you all right.”

“Princess, do you think that anyone can hurt your father?” Luke kissed the top of Lulu’s head. "Watch my arm honey."

“But someone tried to shoot us. If it wasn’t for Nikolas, I would have been shot too. He jumped right on top of me. He saved my life.” Lulu wailed.

Robert came to the door and stepped away. “I know Princess. Nikolas is a hero. But you are safe.” Luke comforted his daughter, “Your mother and brother are getting the best possible care that they can. Someone will be getting in to see me soon. We will get to the bottom of this. No one can bring the Spencers down, you know that. Now, I want you to stick to Nikolas or Robert like glue until I am out of here. OK?”

Lulu nodded. “Now Princess, I need to talk to Robert. Go see Nikolas, ok?” Luke kissed Lulu again and repeated, “Remember, stay with either Nikolas or Robert. I trust them with your life.”

Lulu left and Robert walked in. “Where the hell was Baldwin?” Luke half shouted.

“Wasn’t him Spencer. He was at his headquarters the whole time. He was giving a speech when this happened.” Robert told him.

“Then who in the hell did this?” Luke bellowed.

Sarah walked into Brenda’s ER room. She pulled up a chair and sat across from Sonny and pushed back a now awake Brenda’s hair, “Hi Brenda, I’m Sarah Webber Quartermaine. I am a physician’s assistant here at the hospital. You are going to have a nasty bruise there. We need to take you down to get an MRI. But first, can you tell me what happened to you tonight?”

Brenda struggled to speak, “I went outside to call my house. I wanted to see how my son was. Oh Sonny! Where is James, is he ok?”

“Shhhh, James is with Ned. Max is with them as well.” Sonny reassured her.

“Oh good. Thank you.” Brenda refocused on Sarah. “I am sorry, I have a massive headache. I was walking away from the MetroCourt entrance when someone was walking very purposefully towards me. They looked sort of familiar to me and I remember starting to say something."

    Back to Helena's room

Helena smiled, “Excellent job my dear. What a success on your first mission. "

We can reveal that two people from the past will be brought into the blog. At least one of these people will be revealed in Episode 52. Both of these characters will play heavily into the Mayoral Race fallout and the Spencer shootout.

Headwriter/Executive Producer Tishy is keeping a lid on who the characters are and who has been cast. "I don't want to ruin the surprise of the story. We are going to push the Spencers to the forefront, where they should be. Several characters will be embroiled in this story. I am very excited for this story."

I am going to be changing the format to a summary format. Due to real life stresses and my job responsibilities increasing, I will not be able to write as much. The choice was either to stop altogether or change the format. I will not be writing as much, maybe a couple times a week. I do appreciate all my readers and I will try to better my writing. Please, any feedback is welcome. Thank you!

Elizabeth/Lucky/Jason/Emily/Nikolas/Alison Because of what occurs after the Nurse's Ball will have a huge effect on the six of them. I can't get into much more without revealing too many secrets, but a huge story will come up for them.

Tracy: Tracy finds love, in the least possible place you could think of.

Alexis/Ric He wants custody of Molly and will do anything to get it. She has her job as DA back and her cancer is in remission.

Lucy/Scott He will try to win her back, but she has been burned too many times.

Carly/Jax/Brenda/Sonny With Brenda back, all of Carly's insecurities come roaring back. She views Brenda as the standard that she could never reach with them. Even though Brenda makes it clear that she wants nothing to do with them, Carly doesn't believe her. But could Carly be right?
