I am very very confused about who we are supposed to be supporting in this story. Sarah is so abrasive. Maggie is awful. Philip is the voice of reason. Xander is just bereft and most of the audience will be behind him. And I know maybe I am awful too but I do not get the big deal about this. Sarah, Maggie, Alex, Philip all lied to Xander for MONTHS. He blew his top. Sarah whined that she kept the secret because she was scared of losing him. Xander told her he kept his for the same reason. Philip is 'cured' because he went into therapy, Marlena 'wasted her time'?? And do not get me started on "he will never see his child again". I love Xarah but right now I think XANDER could do better and Sarah deserves to be the latest in Brady's doomed to fail romantic relationships.

Irregardless of character age, and obviously being in your late 30s is still an optimum time to conceive, on Days if two couples do the deed on the same night historically we are in for a baby swap of some sort. In Sarah's defense she was blabbing to everyone who would listen, usually Brady, that she and Xander wanted a second baby so she probably went off birth control.

I think very clearly they had them believe he didn't do it for a few weeks was so Xander and Sarah could make love and she will be pregnant. She dropped so many anvils about wanting a second baby this summer that I figured they were laying the groundwork for it. Let's hope she doesn't claim Brady is the father and we kick off another Xarah lie story. I'm so over it. I'm just exhausted with this year. First it was 5 months of her lying then 5 months of him lying. Surely there are other stories for them?

I am very glad that is increasingly clear that Xander is going to fess up the ugly truth about Philip himself, in therapy. Best case scenario to wrap up a miserable year of lies for Xarah that really were not necessary. Given we are wrapping up Ron stories this week and next I think that will be it for this. Sarah will be mildly pissed but given that she was happy to let him castigate Stalex for covering for Philip while telling Maggie she was cool Xander never knew her part, I think she, and we, should just let it go and move on. Gabi getting agency over her own company was a good compromise. Theo was wrong though, she does not care about his autism she just meant he is young and inexperienced. Clearly though this was manufactured so things are awkward when Ari starts dating him. Susan and EJ were entirely unnecessary today.

I am absolutely expecting a story now where Cat is pregnant and to protect Thomas keeps it from Chad, with EJ enabling by pretending to be the father to keep the Dimera baby in the family

I actually have no problem with Xander playing it cautious with Sarah. She has proven time and time again that she can switch on a dime from reasonable to insane. I feel like he knows the Philip beating will be an issue but he did not want to have that conversation in the hospital lobby. The Xander who spoke to Marlena later was very self aware and hopeful about reuniting with Sarah but not completely certain, that is because he knows he needs to have that talk with her before they can fully move on.

Alex already knew about the fraud though. He was part of Sarah's cover up. Even pretending that Philip was having an affair with Stephanie to fool Xander

Yes Eric and Paul said that they were going dark for 6 weeks soon in order to catch up to airing. I have also heard unsubstantiated rumors that this was coming because they are changing studios.

EJ has been on every episode since August 6 and is scheduled to air every day this week too and likely next. Is anybody else having EJ (and Johnny trial) fatigue? Where are Shawn and Jada? What's Philip up to? I need some variation in the story.

I got good information yesterday that the new writers were essentially contracted to see out Ron's story outlines until the end of the season. So August 29. After that we will finally see their own ideas I just knew the Stephanie novel story smelled like Ron. Fortunately with him gone we were spared RSW acting out all the sex passages in the book which I bet was his intention. Leo on the jury is definitely him too. I did hear that while they had to follow his basic outlines they could tweak. Xander for instance was meant to go crazy dark and seek revenge on everyone in Sarah's group of liars from Maggie to Kate. Janet stepped in and completely stopped that. The actors said the scripts stabilized after Thanksgiving break which should be the September stuff.

I can't think of Johnny and Chanel being happy while he is facing jail. But yes couple wise they are together. The vets thankfully are left alone

These new writers don't want anybody happy together, do they? I guess apart from Steph/Alex and Javi/Leo and nobody cares about either. Having said that I am glad to see EJ and Belle implode. It's a horrible pairing. I'm sick of Sarah using Brady to make Xander jealous. It was annoying in 2020 and this is more of the same. I'd hope Brady would be smart enough not to be used but it's Brady... Gabi picked the wrong mark. Despite all her appeal Xander is not interested. I did like his reflection on Victor. If she wants to get information via sex she should be going after Philip. Chad and Cat need to be put out of their misery. It's awful and awkward to watch.

I would imagine that if Alex tells Stephanie about "Daniel Lucas" she is going to know exactly who that is. For those not watching in 1989, that was Steve's undercover name when he was infiltrating the bible camp. Xander is not buying what Gabi is selling. He is onto her I think. I like him reminding her she is working against her own interests if she tanks the company. Poor Belle. But I don't feel all that bad for her. She is literally making Johnny talk about her 'boyfriend' raping her sister and she is ok with the fact she just had sex with him. Chanel and Paulina are a waste of time. Why isn't she in court?
