  1. It sounds like they're trying hard to get canceled. Or there is a market out there for hate-watchers. It's a race to the bottom in terms of how bad they can crash this show into the ground. Bradley Bell is like the Madonna of the soap writer world. Cheap thrills and shock tactics. No shame. Madonna would make a better writer. At least SHE can reinvent herself.
  2. I could probably do it like this, just have two separate columns, but it looks kinda busy and ugly and I hate horizontal scrolling. But at any rate, I will keep both. The more the merrier. And yes it has been a load of work to compile, but I have enjoyed the process overall. And I can see it taking a life of its own in the hands of others which will be fun to see.
  3. Just think, in about a year's time when Videoland catches up, we'll be able to complete the writer and director column. Also I believe VL is up to episode 2560 now which is very close to where the official channel stopped uploading. So if someone who access to VL wants to provide that info, feel free to send me a private message. Otherwise, I will happily wait for when I have access to those episodes. I also have a question for all of you. The episode summaries from 1997-2008 (#2702 to around #5400) were copied directly from the old CBS daytime website. They are quite lengthy and the Wayback Machine wasn't able to capture all of them, hence why some are missing. Should I replace them with the YouTube versions which are quite a bit shorter?
  4. No stupid questions @Althea Davis Basically when the show switched to September start dates for their seasons, it meant one of the seasons had to be extended to accommodate this change, which is why Season 8 is unusually long. Everyone over on the YouTube channel keeps asking "When does Season 9 start?!" and there has been radio silence from the people running the channel. I guess they want to keep it a surprise for people? You're welcome! It's a great feeling when you can give back to the community when the community has helped you (as it has for me). This forum is the best honestly! Everyone is so friendly and helpful
  5. I present you The Bold and the Beautiful Episode Tracker This is the spreadsheet that I update daily, or when new videos appear on the YouTube channel. You can see a breakdown of the episodes by season or by year by clicking the 'Overview' tab. Seasons can be filtered via a drop-down menu. It's been two years in the making and I've decided it's time to release it publicly since I'm now confident it is accurate and reliable enough to be used on a daily basis. And while it isn't intended to replace other resources, I think it will compliment existing ones. And it has the added benefit of being portable and viewable for offline use. Also, shout out to @Toups for his writers and directors lists. I was able to gather his data and merge it with the spreadsheet. The spreadsheet I have doesn't have such a list, but I think I can look into adding a column in there, or a new sheet entirely. I still see room for improvement. Let me know what you think!
  6. Looks good @BoldKara I've since discovered that S15 had 249 episodes and 16 had 248. S15 ended on 20 September 2002 with episode #3886 and S16 began on 23 September 2002 with episode #3887. When CBS had uploaded #4131 and titled it as as S16 E255, they had made a typo. It was S16 E245. And I'm glad I wasn't the only one who noticed The YouTube channel stuffed up with the labeling of S26 episodes. I actually know exactly the episode they suddenly jumped 10 episodes. #6596 was S26 E185 but #6597 was given S26 E194. Derrr 🤪 The channel even stuffed up labeling S25. Their first episode for the playlist is #6157, which is incorrect. The first S25 episode was #6156. They have #6156 listed as the last S24 episode. And the reason I noticed this was because in their older playlist, the first S25 episode was #6156. So all of S25 is labeled wrong lol. Tell me again why they decided to re-upload existing seasons? 🤔 While I'm no mathematician and math was not my strong suit in school, I do enjoy problem solving and I think with everyone's involvement we've been able to accomplish that I reckon!
  7. Wow, so CBS was wrong then lol. Or they are making things up as they go along. The mind boggles. Thanks once again RS! Much appreciated 😘
  8. A few years back when CBS uploaded some of the classic episodes, they had provided a few clues. For instance, #2661 was labeled as S11 E38 which if counted backwards puts the start of S11 on Monday, 8 September 1997 (#2624). And with S15, they had labeled #3828 as S15 E197 which if counted backwards puts the start of S15 on Monday, 10 September 2001 (#3632). Some of the other seasons had fuzzy math, however lol
  9. Thanks! So that puts the start of S12 on Tuesday, 8 September 1998 (#2878).
  10. Can I have the exact numbers for those seasons (12-15?). It will be a big help as I'm working on a spreadsheet and will share with the group in due time. Sounds like they're working feverishly behind the scenes getting everything up. Which is only good news. Edit: This is what I have in a table, but I don't think they're all correct.
  11. Just out of curiosity, were you able to find out how many episodes are in S12, 13, 14? Do the video titles say anything?
  12. I'm so glad to hear that! Knowing the official YT channel, they will stuff something up along the way for sure, so it's good to have backup. I'll happily take 360p video, but they need to stop compressing the heck out of the video with the absurdly low bitrates. I mean, how can you watch a mushy video that is only about 40 MB per episode? 360p doesn't have to look THAT bad. Going by my calculations, Season 13 begins around the time of Taylor's dying of TB and Macy trying to Woo Thorne away from Brooke. And very shortly before Stephanie has a stroke.
  13. Maybe they should fire all the writers and just let the actors improvise. It would be 1000% better than this drivel!
  14. I wonder if this means Videoland will stop uploading after Season 12?
  15. Does anyone know if CBS still does recaps of the show like they did in the past? The little captions provided in the current episodes are ridiculously short and tell you nothing about the episode. I know third parties do lengthy recaps, but sometimes you only need a very quick overview of the episode. Thanks in advance!
  16. I tried and it still wouldn't accept it. I think it's a limitation on their end where the system tries to arrange the episodes in the correct numerical order. So you basically have to treat the two insert episodes as non-existent, or include a note on the non 'A' suffix episodes explaining it.
  17. IMDb is a pain to deal with. I make contributions on occasion, but the amount of steps required to make even the smallest of changes is time consuming and arduous. As for the special 'A' episodes, IMDb does not allow you to use nonstandard episode numbers. They have to be numbered in a certain way or the system rejects it (screenshot below).
  18. I find the site pretty ugly to be honest lol. But it does what it is supposed to.
  19. The Videoland version of the episodes look really weird too. Why do the end credits look so distorted and bobble around like jello? At least the official YouTube channel doesn't have that issue. Rant away. We feel your pain. The cold hard truth is that these are all commercial decisions. By restricting uploads, the show generates buzz and anticipation. But also, it allows the likes of Videoland to make a bit of coin and give subscribers exclusive access to the latest uploads well before the rest of us get to see them. It's all so transparent.
  20. What a date too "4/20". Me thinks the network bosses were on the 4/20 just a bit too much!!! 🤣 The mind boggles.
  21. All those scenarios sound plausible. I noticed the two episodes (1522 and 1523) feature an early appearance of Don Diamont (as his Y&R character). Perhaps that had something to do with it?
  22. The only thing I noticed was the Apr 19th 1993 preemption you listed. I don't have that one. Time to check Usenet again lol Found something. Apparently B&B was preempted on Apr 19th and 20th 1993 on the East Coast. Maybe the episodes aired at a later time?
  23. Thanks! I was a bit confused because of that thread, and there was no mention of Feb 17th 1992 Winter Olympics coverage anywhere, but all good. As for Feb 27th 1991, there is a mention of a preemption in this thread: https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps/c/QRTQmhjV8uI/m/XpTG-xip1fkJ I had Feb 1st 1991 as a preemption. So Episode 966 aired on Jan 31st and not the 30th. And Feb 15th is a confirmed preemption. We now have all of 1991 accounted for.
  24. Jason, thank you SO much for your efforts. It is sincerely appreciated! It looks like Feb 21st 1992 may be a preemption also. Can you verify? https://groups.google.com/g/rec.arts.tv.soaps/c/9u6_TNhySKU/m/6YLQC3q47msJ
  25. I was able to verify Feb 27th, but not the other two. And we do know there were two more because the episode numbers line up. Here's a quick and dirty document I wrote on the subject. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Jl1eBEJvfO2xdB9CMNBA_veOcVNWS9vrKPd8nb3KaSo/edit
