Interesting tidbit- Robert Newman (Josh) dated Jennifer Cooke (Morgan) when they first started on Guidling Light (it was reported in the press and I think they talked about it in interviews). I did see (as a young kid) Rita having a flashback about Roger's rape of her --and it was confusing as a kid because she was on the floor leaning against her bed and she looked like she was seduced by force and her dress was in disarray, her hair was mussed, make up was a bit messy, but she looked at him with fear, disgust and confusion but the camera was in soft focus (so I get why people may say it was romanticized)--and I remember asking what happened to her and told well she is having nightmares/flashbacks of Roger not being nice to her

Frances Fisher said on The Locher Room interview that she really did not remember her time on GL since it was so short (she was talking more about Edge of Night)-but she did mention that she went out with Vincent (Lujack!). I think he also dated Kristi Ferrell (Roxie) around this time as well

I remember Evie's last scene and it was in Justin Marler's house and she is telling them that Ben is asking for a reconciliation and she is going to join him. I always have wondered what Janet Grey did after leaving Guiding Light (I know from the interview with Kathleen Cullen that she did have a baby and they stayed in touch for awhile).

I read an interview with Lenore Kasdorf and she had said was asked back to GL in 1987 but she turned it down but she said now with Michael (Roger) and Maureen (Holly) back, she would be more interested in returning. This had to be around 1989 and I think in SOD (more of a where are they now? type of article)

There is an interview of Jeff Ryder (I think it was in Soap Opera Digest) prior to him leaving and saying the writers wanted to keep the memory of Charita alive by not killing her off (makes no sense) but the audience demanded a final end to the story (so they penned a funeral). The short interview was so obnoxious and condescending --blaming fans for making them write a funeral scene (and then not bringing anyone back from the past to honor her memory--so weird). At the end of the interview, there is a postscript where it says Jeff has left his writing duties at Guiding light (all I could think was good riddance)

I read (I think in Soap Opera Digest) in a brief interview that Tom O'Rourke was asked to come back to Guiding Light (for 4-6 months) in 1990 but he had signed a contract with NBC to play in Working Girl with Sandra Bullock so he had to turn it down (Hence Christopher Pennock got the role and did it for 11 months). Grant and Jerry said (in different Locher Room interviews) that Tom was fired (in 1983) and Jerry said he played the bagpipes on his way out as a joke. Eve Stapleton did have a goodbye scene where she said Ben called her and asked for a reconciliation and she was going to leave to be with him (around June 1983 I think).
