I loved this episode. Imo, it was the best so far this season. George's resent of Callie moving in so fast hit home for me because I have let a boyfriend move in sooner than I wanted to (he quit his job and I was trying to be nice). Callie was right, though, that George should have just told her how he felt instead of convincing her patient to cancel his surgery. Although, I do think it's ridiculous how some people so many body parts instead of just accepting that they're getting older. Derek interrupting Meredith's lunch date was very high school. She was right at the end that the guys spend more time watching each other than they do watching her. That said, ITA that she's a slut but she always has been. Even if she chooses Derek now, I don't see it lasting. Addison needs to just accept that Mark is here now and wants to be with her. I loved the scene where she was crying in the storage closet and she told Meredith that she couldn't deal with seeing her face. Who could blame her? I'm glad they're not rushing Burke's recovery. It should be interesting to see how Christina holds up over the long term. I hope they bring his mother back soon to clash with her, too. Izzie was so sad standing outside the hospital all day. I'm looking forward to her reaction when she actually goes inside.

This was much, much better than the premiere episode! I loved George's jealousy. I thought he would have figured out that Callie was covering for one of his girls and I really like how Callie has been integrated into their friendships now. McVet bringing Izzy lunch makes him damn near perfect. What is wrong with Meredith? I'm glad Izzy is still grieving in her own way. Peter Paige speaking his mind was so funny. Can't wait for Christina to win over Diahann Carroll (sorry, can't remember the character's name). McSteamy at the end, wow!!!! I'm going to have to watch the episode again at abc.com just to see more of him.

I'm so glad it's back, but ITA that this was just a good episode, not a great one. Meredith continues to waffle. Izzy's grief wasn't given enough time, imo. I didn't care for the Bailey/Omar subplot. It seemed out of character to me for her to give up so much of her time for one patient whom she really couldn't even treat. Burke & Christina were barely on. I did love the flashbacks, though. How funny for Meredith to recall her mom & Richard's breakup, which she probably didn't understand at the time. It was great to see the mixer where the residents first met, imo. Best of all for me, was seeing how hurt Derek really was by Addison's affair. I have no idea how a parent doesn't notice that a 14-year-old is pregnant, but if half the talk shows on the air can be believed, it has happened. Poor George still couldn't bring himself to say "I love you" when he doesn't feel it yet. In a way, I can't blame him. Wow, was this the first time Derek told Meredith he's in love with her? I was hoping she'd chose McVet, but it looks like McDreamy might win out. Next week looks fantastic from the preview!
