They could have JR shoot or not shoot anyone. After over a year, they can have some play in the story. They could also have JR shoot himself instead of other people. It's still a social issue that could be dealt with.

I was never a big fan of Maria/Edmund either. That's why I was one of the few who didn't mind the Maria(Maureen)/Aiden thing.

I was going to say she was the first Skye but am totally not sure. I remember the actress on the show clearly but don't recall who she was cavorting with at that time. Maybe Jeremy?
