Jenny and Viki were close friends. Larry was Viki's brother-in-law (she continued to refer to him as family long after her sister/Larry's wife passed away), and Jenny was Larry's second cousin. I don't believe Jenny ever lived at the carriage house with Brad Vernon. I think she lived there with her third husband (after Tim Siegel and Brad), Peter Janssen.

BTW, when Jenny later married David Renauldi, Dorian said, "What is this, her FOURTH marriage? Pretty racy for an ex-nun!"  It was catty but amusing. When Pat Ashley was kidnapped, Dorian was snarky again, "Oh honestly! I don't know what it is about Pat that attracts all these maniacs!" And about aggressive reporter Edwina Lewis, Dorian sniped to Herb Callison: "If there's one thing I cannot stand it's a pushy, manipulate woman!!!" Herb's resulting guffaw was...HILARIOUS!

Speaking of hilarious, Marco Dane once asked Edwina Lewis, "Are you going to talk to Echo about this?"

A distracted Edwina replied, "Echo who...?"

A visibly irritated Marco snapped, "HOW MANY ECHOES DO WE KNOW???"

    Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Okay, sorry to have floated off onto irrelevant tangents.

Yes, Brad looked good in his tennis shorts, but Johnny Drummond looked even better in his tight jeans. There were many hunks in Llanview way back when: Timmy Siegel, Mark Toland,  Ed Hall, Paul Kendall, Marco Dane, Johnny Drummond, Drew Ralston...talk about love in the afternoon!

Yes, I think Jenny and Brad were divorced by the time she lived in the carriage house.  I do recall Brad and Jenny living in (I think) a duplex where Anna and Jim Craig were there next door neighbors.

I loved Edwina Lewis.  Margaret Klenck and Gerald Anthony were gold together. Marco always referred to her as Cookie.  Never cared for her pairing with Jeff Fahey's Gary.

  2. That carriage house had a lot of tenants!  When I started watching Viki and Joe lived there.  Then I remember Jenny and Peter Janssen living there.  Mari Lynn Dennison and Wade Coleman lived there.  I seem to recall Drew Buchanan living there and at various times Joey and Kevin.  As for Dorian's house, I think she named it.  I don't remember it having a name when Marty lived there.

  3. I remember Lydia Hannibal on RH.  I'm sure she would have made a decent Angie, but I bet she would have been just as underused as she was on RH.  I also remember one of the soap magazines suggesting her as a recast for Sheila Price on One Life To Live, but I never saw her in anything else after RH.

  4. I was always bummed when SoapNet would start the show over.  I never got to see the end of the Barbara Wilde story and never saw any of the Charlotte Greer story.  There's also a big murder mystery in 1985 that I do remember watching back in the day and would have loved to see again.

  5. I never understood why they killed Lee off back then.  I thought she was a great character.   I know it was said that her resurrection was an accident because they realized Janet Zarish had been on the show in the 80's (which I'm not sure if that's true because I think Frank V. was working on the show at the time) and then decided to make nurse Janet be Lee, but then why get rid of her again so quickly?  They could've brought Mari Lynn back and done a whole story with them.  That was a wasted opportunity.

  6. I have a feeling Linda Evans wasn't the only one happy about George Peppard's departure.  Apparently he wasn't pleasant on many sets.  I remember his A-Team co-star Melinda Culea saying he was horrible to her on that show and that led to her being fired.  She later went on to Knots Landing.

I had heard about Farrah being up for that role, but not Donna. I cannot see Donna as Julie Kotter at all!!

It sounds strange now to think of Donna Mills as Julie Kotter, but in 1975 it wouldn't have been strange at all.  In those days Donna usually played the good girl so it wouldn't have been jarring to see her play that part (at that time anyway).

I watched both these series, and enjoyed KC quite a lot. SoMH, not as much. Unfortunately, they are not really the type of series that collectors used to preserve on videotape back in the day, and although I do have (I think) three eps of SoMH, the eps of both series on the internet are more or less non-existent.

I was the opposite.  I loved Secrets of Midland Heights and was really excited when it was announced that it was being retooled.  So I was kind of disappointed that it turned out to be a completely different show, albeit with four of the Midland Heights actors.  I think I related more to SOMH because it was set in small midwestern town like the one I lived in and I was fourteen at the time and related to the high school kids on the show.  But even so, I was really bummed when Kings Crossing didn't take off either.

  9. I've seen a few promos for King's Crossing and its predecessor Secrets Of Midland Heights, but I find it so strange that you can find clips, episodes, even opening credits of just about any show out there, but you can't find so much as an opening credit of these two shows anywhere (I did see the partial Midland Heights opening that was posted here about a year ago but that only showed about 30 seconds of the intro).  If it wasn't for these promos you'd think those two shows never even existed, and I watched every episode of both.

  10. I remember when Lady Blue premiered it was supposed to fill the time slot set for The Colbys while that show was being set up on Dynasty (they had to finish that Moldavia nonsense before "Colby's" characters could be introduced on Dynasty). Of course it was a huge bomb and I remember it being shipped off to Saturday nights where I caught an episode or two. I could be wrong about this but I seem to recall that it was only supposed to be a limited series until The Colbys was ready to go.

  11. Kelly Wood later played Mary on ATWT. It's funny, for some reason that character popped into my head last week. I was trying to remember whether or not she was killed off ATWT so I did a web search trying to find the answer with no luck. It's still bugging me trying to remember what happened to that character!

  12. I've been looking for episodes, clips or opening credits of these shows on-line for years and the only thing I've found are two ABC promos for King's Crossing. and absolutely nothing for Midland Heights. I'm glad other people remember them or I'd think I just imagined these shows ever being on!
