  1. I think Marcia Cross, Laura Leighton, and Heather Locklear were the best actresses. Kristin Davis is up there too, even though Brooke was a plot driven harpy who got written out quickly. I'd say Marcia is the best. She did very well as vulnerable, yet psychotic insane, Kimberly. Lisa Rinna was a competent actress but she has always come across as so obnoxious and smug especially in recent years. And yes, the lips have NEVER helped! I never liked Amy Locane at all. Very little acting talent and no screen presence. And now she's in prison! I also never liked Vanessa Williams. I'm glad they left in the first season.

Thomas Calabro and Rob Estes were the best actors. It helped that Estes had a lot of charisma. And nice to look at too! Andrew Shue and Jack Wagner were the worst. No charisma and so unlikable. David Charvet was really awful too even though he was nice to look at. Doug Savant and Grant Show were OK.

  2. Daphne Zuniga is a competent actress but she's rarely had any real screen presence. She's dull for the most part. Amy Locane and Josie Bissett were the same way. I never, ever, liked Lisa Rinna but she did have some screen presence back when she was on MP. The cat fights with Amanda and Taylor were entertaining, even though I can't stand Lisa Rinna and have heard many bad stories about Heather Locklear.

  3. I mostly remember Season 6 being about Kyle and Amanda. Which is fine since I love Rob Estes and used to like Heather Locklear. I'd still like Heather if it weren't for all the stories about her in recent years. One of many examples being with Jack Wagner.

I never got the hype over Jack Wagner or Lisa Rinna. And when they were paired together, it was hideous!

Which woman did everyone like Michael most with? I liked him most with Sydney.

  4. Whenever I think about Roma Downey, I think about that Lifetime movie she did with William Russ and frozen faced Jamie Rose. It was The Test of Love. I loved that wig of hers in that movie!

Yes, Jeremy Renner is hot. I think! But that picture does him no favors.

Kerry Butler (ex-Claudia Reston, OLTL) performed in the Tim & Charlie Go Solo concert just a few weeks ago. Her character Claudia was a minor one on OLTL (a foil for Jess/Tess and Nash) but she was a much better actress than Bree Williamson. She was also better than Melissa Archer was at the time.

  5. Carl is still an annoying little twit. I see he's not going anywhere. My boyfriend hates him even more than I do. I like the actress who plays Michonne. Seeing her bond with Rick and even Carl is nice to see.

Abraham is hideous and such a ham. All the hype about him makes me so sick. And anyone who has a mullet needs a good round housing. Revolting!

I liked Rick last night for the first time in a long time.

I heard about "more Daryl, less Carl". Yes please! Norman Reedus isn't a master thespian but even on his worst day he acts circles around Chandler Riggs. And I agree Reedus isn't attractive... Lol

Can't wait to see Carol again! And I still don't think she killed Karen or David.

  6. Not sure if these have been posted yet...

This may be old news but I just found out Brett Claywell was almost cast as Sky on OLTL. Obviously went to Scott Clifton instead. I like both actors so whatever.

Were Melissa Archer and Bree Williamson both almost offered the role of Jen Rappaport on OLTL? Jessica Morris was so boring and so lost, though she eventually improved. Bree would have been better as Jen than as Jess. I'm glad Melissa got offered Natalie instead.

Can't believe Alexandra Wilson was offered the role of OLTL's Kelly! Just found that out too. That would have been cool since I like her a lot but if she had been cast, Kelly probably would have been recast in a year, or killed off for good and the character would be forgotten because Wilson was never a very popular actress and she didn't get good material from her role on Another World. I think she's older than Gina Tognoni or Heather Tom, but she always looked younger. And I didn't care for Kelly. Nothing was ever her fault and the writers always tried too hard to make her quirky.

Speaking of Kelly Cramer, I still wish I could block out the Tracy Melchior days. Wish I never saw that. She was so very dull even for Kelly, who I didn't care for as a character. It was like Ken Kenitzer or Tim Gibbs as Kevin, ugh.

Does anyone know what role Bradley Cooper was offered on AMC?

  7. I've been way too busy to watch much tv lately but I finally was able to catch up after work...

I hate Carl so much!!!! Why is he still here?!?! I remember when my boyfriend watched one episode with me(all he ever watched of the Walking Dead) and he kept saying he'd love to see Carl "accidentally" have a hand grenade taped to his face. God knows I feel the same way!

Too much Rick in the last one. He always has to be the hero. I thought he was such a hypocrite when he sent Carol away. And he is way too indulgent when it comes to Carl.

Can't wait for Carol's inevitable return! She's been my favorite character here. Even though I've felt like they ruined Carol. I've seen Melissa McBride in other things and she was always in a very supporting role in mediocre, at best, projects. I remember how she used to have that red frizzy hair. Part of the reason I'm surprised Carol wasn't killed off is because no one even seemed to know who McBride was before she got the role on the Walking Dead. For that reason alone I wasn't sure if she'd even get past the first season!

  8. I can't get past the fact that Philece Sampler was once on this show! She is definitely one of the worst and most annoying actresses I have ever seen. She ruined Donna for good. She was really awful on DAYS too. She honestly couldn't be more unlikable if she tried.

Didn't like Josie as a character but I liked Alexandra Wilson. I never got why so many people disliked her as an actress. Though Josie should have been more of a bitch and a gold digger. The recasts reinforced how boring the character was. I lost all interest once Wilson left the role.

Gary always seemed mad when he was supposed to be happy or crying. I think it was Tim Gibbs's fault. I couldn't stand the story with Josie and Gary.

Wow. So Alli was portrayed by Alicia Leigh Willis AND Lindsay Lohan. Lohan may have been a better actress than PS or ALW but she was every bit as unlikable as those two. Granted that's been the least of Lohan's problems for about 10 years but regardless.

  9. This show was so bad. I did watch it as a guilty pleasure though. I thought Drew was hot! but he was an idiot.

Is that horrible Tom Melissis still on ever so often as Mr. Perino? Everything about him, character and mainly actor, was just terrible! I remember how he was on ever so often each season and was pointless.

  10. The best part of Passions was Eve's past being revealed in summer 2004. Partly because it was bout time! I was looking forward to the fallout. That, and I loved Liz, TC, and Aunt Irma! Especially Irma!! All she did was call her niece Eve a whore, a slut, a tramp, heathen, "lady of the evening", "dime store floozy"... lol! I also loved seeing Liz tell Eve every day she was going to get her revenge. And she said it with the same facial expression, same smirk, and no voice fluctuations which I loved! Haha

Did anyone like Theresa/Jared? I did! I thought they had a lot of potential. And it was fun seeing Ethan chasing Theresa for once. I wish people had been harder on him for the double standards about Jared not being right for her and Theresa eventually marrying the "wrong" man. He did the same damn thing! And this is coming from someone who was often very annoyed by Theresa (I liked her some days, disliked or hated her others.)

None of my friends or coworkers know that I ever watched Passions. Or even any other soaps. I'm not a big soap watcher though. Many parts of this show were just so embarrassing and too silly. I really could have done without all the supernatural crap even though I enjoyed Juliet Mills as Tabitha.

  11. I remember Russell Lawrence being very smarmy and unlikable, and that clip alone reinforces that. But he was very attractive even with the scruff!

It can't be said enough that every single temp actor/actress on "Passions" was so horrific that they made the usual actors and actresses there look like master thespians.

Anyone have any clips of William Russ as Tucker on Y&R? Also, was he fired because of behind the scenes issues or did they just feel that he wasn't right for the role?

  12. Tika Sumpter was interviewed on this morning's Tom Joyner Morning Show as part of the promotion for "A Madea Christmas."

    http://blackamericaweb.com/194363/tika-sumpter-gets-funny-in-a-madea-christmas/

Love Tika! I'm glad she's doing well for herself and going places. She was wasted on OLTL. I might just go see that movie this weekend if I have time!

Damn, who knew that Crystal Hunt had that in her?

I know right? I don't know her in real life but as an actress she was too soft to be convincing as a nutcase on GL or OLTL. But there were times when I actually liked her on OLTL. In any event, the whole story is too funny!

Liza Huber runs a baby food system or something.

I'm not one of those creepers or stalkers but I have a little girl now whose about 2 so I've been reading a lot of the sage spoonful tweets on twitter. Liza's beautiful! I actually thought she was a good actress.

  13. I'm gonna start watching again next time it's on. I keep forgetting to cause I'm always so busy! Last time I watched it was one night about a month ago.

Is Carl dead? Or is he still here? I would like to see him "accidentally" have a hand grenade taped to his face. I hate that little ahole's guts...Lol

Carol's my favorite! I think I saw Melissa McBride in a small role in a 90s movie with Lisa Rinna and Rob Estes. Other than that, I never saw much her of her before The Walking Dead. She used to be a casting director. My boss watches this show yet she doesn't even know who Carol is. Haha!

  14. Are you talking about Philece Sampler?

    She is horrendous. Ugh!

Haven't watched Y&R in awhile but I just remembered an actor named Russell Lawrence temporarily replaced the first actor who played Matt Clark. He was fired and the role was recast. I think with Rick Hearst. This was back in mid to late 2000, I think. Does anyone have any Y&R episodes or clips from then?

Never liked Kamar de los Reyes as Antonio on OLTL but at one point, I think during the Jessica/Nash days, he was temporarily replaced with someone even worse. does anyone know that actor's name?

William Russ was on Y&R only a few months if that. He was one of my favorite actors. I've seen him in several movies and of course Boy Meets World. I didn't watch Y&R for years until he was hired. He was quickly replaced with Stephen Nichols, who is OK, but wasn't enough to get me to go back to watching Y&R.

  15. What was Jared's secret? I liked Jared/Theresa by the way.

Passions was so awful but it was the first soap I ever watched. My favorite characters were Liz and Aunt Irma, even though they were minor characters. I also loved Rebecca. For years, I hated Theresa, but since early 2007, Gwen was even worse. They ruined her to prop Ethan/Theresa, which so redundant and nauseating. Ethan/Theresa were like the Rex/Gigi of Passions. Not offensive. But boring, godawful, and redundant.

I love how Gwen and Rebecca were caught in the very last episode. There was no fallout. It was so stupid how they tried so hard to make people root for Theresa/Ethan. I liked it a lot more when Theresa and Gwen were basically equal. They pretty much were before the Direct tv move.

Galen Gering was better on Passions than he was on Days, though I haven't watched Days that much since 2007.
