  1. It would be interesting to know the behind the scenes goings on. From my perspective, having a shorter taping to airing time would make it easier to make tweaks along the way. As far as BTG is concerned, I think they'll have all together in a few months after looking back on what they can do better.
  2. Oh that's right it was supposed to start in January. It's interesting, remember when soaps used to actually come on during that actual holiday, like Thanksgiving or Christmas, I recall one Thanksgiving Erika Slezak being interviewed on WABC-7 here in NYC and she said OLTL was taped two weeks in advance. That was either late 70's or early 80's she did that interview. Things surely have changed.
  3. I don't think the audience has anything to do with it at this point. Remember, they started taping three months ahead. We have a ways to go to see if there are any changes based off audience feedback. So do I.
  4. Was re-watching a previous episode on my DVR and kept thinking Smitty reminds of me of Millhouse. It's not a bad thing, that's who always comes to mind.
  5. I'm all for it and have been happy he's been out of Ashley's orbit for a minute.
  6. She's lovely, but he's.......... 😏
  7. LOL! I don't remember it doing that, but it was a long time ago. On that note, Slesar knew how to weave a story. It really worked for Edge, not so much when he wrote for OLTL simply because it's not that type of show. If he were alive today, I think he'd work miracles on GH. Right now that show is hard to get through.
  8. I definitely see your point. I will give some grace to Derek and Ashley because I'm think they must have some plan for them, otherwise what is their purpose. Some of these characters have some real stans online, but they be lighting up my girl Haley whom I like.
  9. I don't recall you saying anything super critical, if you did I probably didn't think it was. You are so right about show audience outside of this forum. People seem to be enjoying the show.
  10. Love your posts because like you, I just don't feel the need to complain about everything. I'm just going to sit back and enjoy the show. As far as that slow burn, I don't know how long folks in here have been watching the soaps, but I started in 1974 when I was home from school one day when I was kid and I mother told me to turn to Channel 2(WCBS-NYC) at 2:30 when she was at work and watch her show. That was The Edge of Night. Ever since then I've been hooked. Anyone watched in the 70's and 80's knows those story lines went on for months and months, so yeah, I love it when they don't rush through, but move the story along with twists and turns. Oh yeah, Dani/Andre..... Loved that!
  11. I completely agree. On that note, I hope we get some "Silkpress" today with her plots and plans.
  12. Haha! Yeah two months. Yep, don't want to rush that.
  13. Can you scream this to the folks in the nosebleeds? It's amazing to me how some people want the same old soap tropes over and over. I concede there are some technical aspects of the show than can be improved, but we're only three months in and they taped a few months ahead (which I don't think is a good idea) so I'm sure they're looking at what's working and what's not and they will correct it.
  14. Every time I see them in a scene together it makes me think of this "ladies" bar here in Manhattan I walk past all of the time called the Cubbyhole.
  15. I enjoyed their performance. 😊😊😊
  16. NJS started almost 40 years ago. Not that much of a stretch to me, but okay.
  17. How do you know. Did they ever say?
  18. I know, right. Too bad she had to hold back.
  19. Olga Swenson, wow..you pulled out the way back machine. AMC was everything back then.
