  2. Straight sets for Nadal 7-6 6-3 6-3
  3. Nadal is starting to look far to good.
  4. According to a tweet I saw in the early hours this morning. The last time 2 defending champions lost in a Q/F at any Grand Slam in open Era was at Roland Garros in 1997. Yevgeny Kafelnikov and Steffi Graf.
  5. Come Federer, please make it a few miserable months for the Brits on Aussie soil.
  6. A tough 4 setter for Nadal. 3-6 7-6 7-6 6-2
  7. Both Defending champions are out. Usually would have gone to a day in the first week. But 1st It was to bloody hot, and 2nd they decided to really up grade my train line so we had no trains for 2 weeks, with last week being the last one.
  8. 6-1 5-7 6-0 And it was the perfect time to go and get a cup of tea lol, although it took a few minutes longer than normal to get it lol.
  9. It finished about 6.25 pm for me. We have the TV on the tennis at the moment in the Kitchen at work.
  10. Yes Ferrer is out. 6-1 6-4 2-6 6-4
  11. Nadal wins a tough 3 setter 7-6 7-5 7-6
  12. Sharapova out. 3-6 6-4 6-1 They had the TV on here at work, Sharapova's body language looked defeated.
  13. That has now left the winner for the women's draw wide open.
  14. Even work enforced the heat policy when it was announced that there would be major cuts to public transport. Play resumed after the temperature dropped to the 30's, but now has been suspended due to rain. Another day of extreme heat tomorrow, but the cool change is meant to come through in the afternoon.
  15. THE Extreme Heat Policy has been implemented at the Australian Open on another sweltering day at Melbourne Park. The tournament referee has suspended the start of any further games on outside courts and matches currently in progress will continue only to the end of the current set, when the match will be suspended until further notice. The roof has been closed on Hisense Arena and will be closed on Rod Laver Arena at the end of the current set before any urther games take place. No play on the ouside courts before 4.00 pm at least.
  16. Yikes 44 (111) today.
  17. I do agree with you on that. Last couple of years I have gone to one of the days in the first week. We have figured out that summer doesn't hit with a vengence until the tennis starts.
  18. Happy new year to you to. Been really busy with work, that busy that the last thing i have wanting to do is get on the laptop on the weekend. But have been on my iPad and iPhone figure that one out lol. I am not looking forward to the heat today. Got a great view of Rod Laver and Margaret Court arena from the window, but can't get the picture to post. Won't be going to the tennis this year as this whole week temp's of aroung 100 degrees is being forcast.
  19. Some matches on day two maybe cancelled due to the extreme heat. We are expecting a top temperture of 43 degrees or 109 on the old scale.
  20. Replay on here now and watching. Was starting to fall asleep last night.
  21. I think that it had something to do with the answer she gave right after the match about chocking and needing to regroup and then saying a couple of different versions later on. She also had another press conference yesterday I think it was to explain things. And we also love going for the underdog 9 times out of 10. Damn missed the fireworks, I know that channel 7 shows a bit of them every year. PS. Happy Australia Day.
  22. Bummer Azarenka won 4-6 6-4 6-3
  23. Me either, I can't stand Murray.
  24. Murray won in 5 sets 6-4 7-6 6-3 7-6 6-2. Today is Australia Day (our 4th of July) and we are going to have an Aussie winner. Both the boy's in the junior final are Aussie's.
