  1. ^ WHAT?!? I just WATCHED the final four episodes and was BLOWN AWAY.

This is by far my favorite primetime series now. That season finale was amazing and I cannot WAIT for next season!!

Also, if anyone watched "Alias" (one of my past favorite shows), I see a lot of tie-ins with it...especially at the end with the "mother" thing.

  2. Just finished season five. So far, the glory days were definitely seasons 2-4, but 5 hasn't been horrible. And I do have to say that I miss epic season finales like this. EVERY finale has major things happen in it with an awesome cliffhanger. All dramas should have this...even today.

I have to say that I'm a little bit scared to dive into season 6 now with the horrible things people have said about it. Please tell me that there are SOME things to look forward to in it!

  3. Just finished the third season. That finale was the BEST episode EVER. Actually, it may have been one of the best season finales I've ever seen on any show. The endings with Jake and his brother falling from the platform and then everyone finding out about the bombs before Kimberly runs out with the detonater "It's not what you think...it's worse!" FREEZE FRAME. I got CHILLS!

  4. I'm about half-way through season 3 now and it is by far the best season. The only thing that I hate is that Billy and Allison are being kept apart and from what I've read, it seems like they won't be getting back together. I feel like the show spent so long building them as the "it" couple...why on Earth would they throw that away?

I LOVE every storyline with Kimberly or Sydney....how hilarious that Kimberly framed Jane for hitting Michael and then framed Sydney for framing Jane! The writing to me is just awesome...classic soap opera. I wish that we could have nighttime soaps like this today.

And I can't believe how evil they made Peter when he first came on the show. At first I loved him and Amanda but trying to kill her on the operating table? how can they ever recover from that?!

  5. I'm about 3/4 done with season one now, just finished Amanda's first episode, and I am loving it! I really love Jo and her storylines and personality so far. The weak link for me right now is Rhonda. What a bore!

  6. This is my latest show that I will be watching from beginning to end. Just got the first season and started watching it. It's kind of slow to start off with, but I like the 90210 crossover and the Billy/Allison stuff. Can't wait to see Amanda and Kimberly!

  7. Gawd..I hate Beyonces new album. I am a big fan but this CD is a big WTF??

    Great taste Alvin.

Totally agree about Beyonce. I love her and I LOVED her last album I Am...Sasha Fierce, but this one I just cannot get into. Her voice is awesome and she's showcasing it and all, but there is not one standout song.

  8. Yeah, Ivy was completely wasted in the last few years (I LOVED Ivy, she was definitely the Passions version of Kate Roberts). I even remember when Grace discovered what Ivy did it was almost such a non-issue. I really wonder what JER had planned. I mean, I'm glad it was addressed, but it was just not handled well at all and then Grace "died" and it was all swept under the rug.

That whole thing was oddly planned. I wonder if it was a scheduling thing with Dana Sparks or the cancellation announcement (that was around that time I think) that caused them to drop the story of the reveal, etc. If the show were still around, I could almost guarantee that Grace would be back.

  9. If anyone keeps up with the PassionsTV on youtube, they've just posted the episodes of Ivy crashing Ethan/Theresa and Luis/Sheridan's double wedding. LOVE IT! Ivy was such a strong character. It's a shame that she fell to the backburner for the last four or five years of the show.

  10. About Precious---- LOVED that storyline. In fact, the Beth/Edna/Precious scenes were the highlight of 2003-2005 (?) for me. As for the writing being degrading to Kathleen Noone, I don't know if I agree with that. Edna Wallace was meant to be a humorous character...when Kathleen signed on for the role, I'm sure she knew it was for laughs and she played it that way. Nothing insulting about it, to me. And the monkey just made it all the more entertaining!

  11. I would buy 1999-2001. After the double wedding and Sheridan falling for Antonio, the show was horrendous. I stopped watching regularly by 2002. I think around, what, 2005, the show got back on track for a while but I lost interest again. The last few years are so unrecognizable to me. I appreciate what Reilly tried to do but he should have kept the format he had from 1999 until 2001. It was good and worked. I thought the show had a really nice feel to it. He tried to top himself too much and that was the show's downfall. He's very lucky so many actors stuck with it for the duration.

I agree that the first years were the best. Although, I loved all of the Sheridan/Luis/Beth stuff from like 2002-2005. Towards like...2006 and maybe the beginning of 2007 (after the Vendetta storyline, which I LOVED), the thing that irked me was that Reilly seemed to sacrifice EVERY story and character for Theresa. I guess with Charity and Grace gone and Luis and Sheridan basically ruined, she was all he had to carry the show with, but I still saw it as crippling. Literally EVERY episode ended with Theresa, no matter what she was doing. Hell, every SCENE ended with her. To me, it was like everything and everyone had to take a backseat to a storyline that had not gone anywhere since the show began.

However, after the blackmailer storyline got on its way in the last months on NBC with evil Vincent and Down Low Chad, I was loving it again. I miss this show so much!

  12. I've found somebody who has pretty much the entire series and after months of debate, I decided to give this show a chance. With the soaps getting cancelled left and right, I wanted to watch one from the beginning if possible. I tried Port Charles, which was decent, but very dull during it's first year. I plan to continue that later, but knowing I enjoyed Passions, I thought i may as well give it a whirl. I watched the show on and off throughout the years. I think I started when Aunt Irma was on the show and Liz was a character that reeled me in. I watched for several months at a time, even during the DirecTV run.

I look forward to seeing how it all starts (well I did catch the Sci Fi reruns) and how the show plays with the knowledge of how long days run along with the other shortcomings. I think I'm going to enjoy it. I've watched a few episodes on YouTube to catch up and the show seems to hold up well.

Once I recieve my DVDs next week I'll try and update this thread with commentary.

Awesome! I look forward to that. I swear, if they ever came out with a DVD box set, no matter how many episodes there were or how expensive it was, I would get that!

  13. I'm jumping in here to say that I LOVE Port Charles! I actually only watched it from around 2001 to the end, but I thought it was fantastic. I loved the supernatural elements and Livvie was by far my favorite character. Seeing Kelly Monaco as the pathetic Sam on GH just makes me sad when I look back at what a dynamic character she had on PC. I wish they had brought her to GH as Livvie and somehow explained away the Caleb-wedding stuff. Could you imagine Livvie vs. Carly or Sonny?! Perfection!

Perhaps the biggest disapointment of the series was the finale. I'm still upset over the cliffhanger ending.

  14. Saw on Britney's twitter that she is in the process of shooting the I Wanna Go video. Very exciting!!! What other songs do you guys think would be single-ready? I could see possibly Seal it With a Kiss....which IMO is one of the best songs on the album!

  15. I definitely felt like this is the weakest finale thus far. It actually didn't feel like a finale at all. Of course I'll still watch next season, but I felt like there was nothing really "bringing me" back to it. Although I am enjoying this controversial Cristina/Owen drama.

JackPeyton, I also loved that quote! And I'm actually not sure about the jobs...I think Alex is usually on Peds, but then I see him other places occasionally too. You never know who's doing what at Seattle Grace. lol!

  16. This is definitely the thread for me! Britney Spears is my FAVORITE artist (next to Madonna) and I absolutely LOVE Femme Fatale. I have the deluxe edition and EVERY SINGLE SONG is amazing...not to mention the perfect remix of S&M with Rihanna. Oh, Britney. :)

  17. :o My 500th post went into the CT/Helena thread. That's all right though. I mentioned Tracy.

Keith, what I mean is...Isn't JE (and the others) guaranteed a certain number of episodes/week? So...If it's 1 or 2 episodes, and GH has to pay her regardless, wouldn't it make more sense to give her more scenes/episode? *sigh* I'm so confused, LOL.

    Um, positive thoughts?

    ::silence::

LOL ILoveTracyQ. Re: The spoiler...No, guess I shouldn't have said "floating around," because it's not...well, in this thread it's "floating around," but besides SID, I haven't seen it. Mag spoilers are accurate, right? RIGHT?!? Please oh please. Oh, there's Luke/Lulu spoiler for next week. Can I hope Tracy will makes an appearance?

Now, positive/happy thoughts/things... (Oh God; sounds like we all need therapy, LOL)

Tracy's on today (as ILoveTracyQ mentioned), and she not wearing (to quote MinervaFan) "ten miles of floating jacket."

angel is updating Beautiful Disaster soon, 4XCrazy has updated Homelands, and I've updated Oh, Baby. Plus, MinervaFan is always keeping us entertained with her goodness.

And this thread and all of you are wonderful! :D

Well, that should inspire you to get to 600...then you can post THAT in this thread!
