An upsetting day for the people of Springfield...

Church:

Michelle walks outside.

She doesn't understand how Bill could leave her on their wedding day.

Jesse pulls up on his bike.

Michelle stares at him.

He parks and walks over to her.

Michelle looks at him, "What are you doing here?"

He looks at her, "Why are you standing outside in the cold on your wedding day?"

She shakes her head, "I'm not to sure that this is going to be my wedding day anymore."

He is confused, "What?"

She sighs, "I'm... I don't think Bill and I are going to be getting married today."

Jesse walks up to her, "Don't say that. It's not to late, just go back in there."

She shakes her head, "You don't understand."

He nods, "Michelle look at you. You are the most beautiful, smart, kind, giving, loving, amazing woman in the world. You deserve to be happy with a guy who can make you happy. You should be with the man you love."

Michelle looks into his eyes.

After what seemed like an eternity Michelle and Jesse kiss.

Police Station:

Bill walks back to Olivia's cell.

She looks at him, "Bill? Bill what are you doing here? This is your wedding day."

He nods, "I got a call from Emma. I can't believe this is happening to you. It's not right."

She nods, "I don't understand how this is happening."

Bill sighs, "I think I might have a good idea."

She is confused, "What?"

He sighs, "This might be something Phillip would do."

Olivia kicks the bars, "Damn him! Damn him!"

Bill tries to calm her down, "Everything is going to be okay."

Olivia shakes her head, "No it's not! Phillip is trying to take me away from Emma."

Bill looks at her, "I won't let him do that to you. Okay? We are Emma's parents."

Olivia cries, "She's my little girl. She needs me and I need her. Why is he doing this?"

Bill sighs, "I had really hoped he was changing."

She wipes her tears, "He's a Spaulding. They never change. They just calm down a plot for a while."

He looks at her, "Just relax."

She looks him in the eyes, "I swear to you Bill. I will kill Phillip Spaulding before I let him take my daughter away from me."

Bill has no idea how to help his family.

Spaulding Mansion:

Alan is still in the living room.

Alexandra walks over, "Hello."

He turns, "Well hello Alexandra. I didn't know you were home."

She nods, "I didn't know you were. But you sure have been spending a lot of time here."

He smiles, "This will always be my home."

Alex nods, "What about your house? The one that you and Natalia shared?"

He scoffs, "Drop it Alexandra."

She sits by him, "Alan, you can't keep changing the subject. I know you miss Natalia and Baby Alan."

Alan nods, "I miss my son."

Alex sighs, "And Natalia."

Alan looks at her, "Natalia abandoned me."

Alex shakes her head, "She couldn't deal with you. Because she saw the path you were going down. I'm not surprised by it. But I have a feeling she will be back."

Alan sighs, "Well I know I'll get my son back. I don't know if she will be with him."

Alex nods, "Well I promise you one thing, it will be over my dead body before any man in this family takes a child away from it's mother again. Remember that Alan."

He scoffs, "How dare you take her side."

She she shakes her head, "I'm not. I'm on your side. Natalia brought out a side in you I hadn't seen since we were young. You told us she was the love of your life."

He sighs, "Well she's gone now."

Alex looks at him, "Just remember, Natalia will be back Alan. And when she is you are going to have to finally choose between her and this life you are throwing yourself back into."

Alex walks out of the room leaving Alan to think.

Church:

Jesse and Michelle are kissing outside.

Jesse has his arms around her, "Oh Michelle."

She smiles, "I can't belive I've been fighting this. I've been fighting this ever since you came back to the Barbecue on your motorcycle. It was all leading up to this moment."

He looks into her eyes, "I tried to push you away. I didn't want you to be forced to me. I wanted you to come to me on your own. Without someone else leading you to me."

She smiles, "Everything happens for a reason Jesse. I know I didn't think so before but now I really think that Danny would want me to be with you for the rest of my life."

Jesse looks at her, "Michelle do you really mean that? Do you really think I'm worthy of that?"

She nods, "You are Jesse."

The two kiss again.

Jesse smiles, "I'm so happy Michelle."

Michelle wipes her tears, "Bill not showing up was a huge blessing in disguise. This almost didn't happen."

He pulls away, "What?"

She looks at him, "Bill left the wedding before it began. I was upset but now I know it wasn't meant to be."

Jesse steps away, "So when you came out here.... you weren't looking for me? You were looking for Bill."

Michelle realizes she just upset Jesse.

Park:

Gus is still on the bench.

The woman he just met is sitting by him.

Gus looks at her, "So what are you in town for?"

She sighs, "A few things. A wedding today."

He nods, "A friend?"

She looks at him, "Something like that."

He sits back, "It wouldn't be the wedding for Bill Lewis and Michelle Bauer would it?"

She turns to him, "Yes. Do you know them?"

He nods, "Yeah I know them. Their good people. Are you a friend of the bride or the groom."

She turns away, "It's complicated."

He is confused, "You seem like a woman of mystery."

She laughs, "Well that's because we don't know each other. I know you're a cop, you're handsome, you're lonely, you think you're funny, you have nothing better to do than sit on a bench and talk to strangers."

He smiles, "So I'm handsome?"

She laughs with him.

Gus is taking his mind off his problems.

Vegas:

Mary is getting dressed quickly.

Coop looks at her, "Wait what is going on?"

She sighs, "This was all a mistake. We just met each other. I can't believe we did this."

He shakes his head, "No. A second ago you were just telling me how happy you were and how you thought it was so great and perfect. Now you're changing your story."

She sighs, "It just hit me Henry. Okay, we met the other day and now we are husband and wife. This was a fun idea but we can't be married to each other. No."

He shakes his head, "Why did you get so upset when I brought up Springfield? What was that?"

She turns to him, "I don't know what you're talking about."

He nods, "Yes you do. You were all excited to go with me before that. But when you heard Springfield something changed."

She shakes her head, "No. You don't get it. I've never been to 'Springfield'. I just don't do these things. I'm a librarian. I don't go on wild crazy adventures."

He takes her hand, "And neither did I before you."

She looks down, "I..."

He stops her, "No. Look at me. Look at me and tell me that you think this was a mistake."

She looks into his eyes, "It wasn't a mistake. But I can't go to Springfield with you."

Coop is so confused by her.

PART TWO:

Spaulding Mansion:

Annie is in the study.

Alexandra walks in, "We need to talk."

Annie looks up, "Well Alexandra what a nice surprise."

She nods, "I bet. I'm onto you Annie."

Annie laughs, "Let's not get over dramatic."

Alex shakes her head, "Don't play your games with me. You can play them with your girlfriends, with Alan, Phillip, Lizzie, but you can't play those games with me."

Annie sits back, "What is your problem now Alex?"

Alexandra looks at her, "I must say you've done well for yourself. You proved to everyone what you're capable of. And as a fellow woman I admire that you did it all without a man's help. But it is not going to last Annie. Believe me."

Annie sighs, "I know you are upset. But that is no reason to come make threats at me."

Alex shakes her head, "I'm not going to do anything to you Annie. I don't have the time. Plus there's no point. You don't need me, you're going to ruin everything all on your own."

Annie looks back down, "We're done here."

Alex nods, "I've seen a lot of people in that chair. It doesn't last. You have all the right plans and strategies but there is always one thing that causes your default. Your ego. It will be the very thing that takes everything away from you."

Annie looks at her, "Goodbye Alex."

Alex nods, "Yes. Good luck Annie. You'll need it."

Annie won't allow herself to get nervous.

Park:

Gus and his new friend are sitting on the bench.

He smiles, "You know I still haven't gotten your name."

She nods, "I know. Weird."

He laughs, "Can I get it?"

She shakes her head, "No. I'm keeping a low profile right now?"

He looks at her, "You in legal trouble?"

She shakes her head, "Nope. Don't worry about me buddy."

He laughs, "I'll try."

She looks at her, "Watch I have to get going. It was nice chatting with you for a while."

He nods, "I agree. I enjoyed it."

She gets up, "Well goodbye."

Gus looks at her, "Wait. How about your number?"

She laughs, "If I didn't give you my name why do you think you would get my number?"

He sighs, "How will I ask you out?"

She shakes her head, "I got to much to take care of now. But if it is meant to be, then when I'm ready you'll be there."

She walks away leaving Gus with a big smile.

Church:

Jesse is walking away from Michelle.

She walks over to him, "What is wrong?"

He turns to her, "You told me that you chose me. That I was the guy you picked."

She nods, "I did! That's why I'm here."

He shakes his head, "No! You're here because Bill left you at the alter. Can you honestly tell me that if he had stayed that you would be here with me right now?"

She shakes her head, "No, but..."

He nods, "Would you have married him?"

Michelle is crying again, "Yes!"

Jesse heads for his bike.

Michelle chases him, "Jesse wait!"

He turns to her, "Stop! I'm not doing this. I wanted to be the guy you chose. Not your consolation prize!"

She shakes her head, "No! You could never be my consolation prize."

He sighs, "It was one thing competing with the love you had with Danny. But Bill... I'm not even going to get in the middle of that."

Jesse gets on his bike.

Michelle cries, "Jesse please!"

Jesse drives off.

Michelle pulls herself together and goes back inside to get her things and leave.

Police Station:

Bill walks out to see Emma.

Emma jumps up, "Daddy! Did you take care of Mom?"

Bill sighs, "I'm sorry..."

She shouts, "No!"

He hugs her, "Today we can't do anything but I'm going to bring your Mom home soon I promise."

Olivia is being walked out of her cell.

She is trying to hold it together for Emma.

They are taking her to the airport.

Emma cries, "Mommy!"

Olivia looks at her, "I love you Emma! I love you so much."

Emma cries, "No! Mom!"

Olivia looks at Bill, "Take care of her! Keep her away from the Spauldings Bill. Promise me."

Bill nods, "I promise. We will get you back Olivia. I promise you that too. You'll be home."

They walk Olivia out of the station.

Emma goes running after her, "No you can't take her! You can't take her from me!"

Bill breaks down crying as he holds his emotional daughter back.

Vegas:

Coop and Mary are hugging.

Mary looks at him, "I'm so sorry. But I can't go to Springfield with you. I'm sorry."

He sighs, "Why? If we are so great together then why?"

She shakes her head, "We knew that getting married wouldn't stop us from being separated. All it did was keep us together a little longer. But we live in different places."

He nods, "Then I'll move to be with you. Okay? I just can't be away from you. I have fallen for you."

She stares at him, "You would really move away from your home just to be with me?"

He nods, "If it meant that I was going to be with you, then I would live anywhere."

She wipes a tear, "I've never had a man who made me feel this way. At least not quite like this."

He nods, "I know exactly what you mean. I thought I had experienced love before but..."

She looks away.

He sighs, "Let's go out for breakfast! I'm going to get ready. I'll be right back."

Coop runs into the bathroom.

Mary feels horrible but she has to take this chance.

She throws all of her stuff into her bag.

She runs out the door.

Church:

Ed and Rick are sitting on a bench inside.

Michelle walks over, "Hi."

Rick sighs, "We sent the guests home for you. I'm so sorry Michelle. I'm so sorry."

Michelle nods, "I know."

Ed sighs, "Do you want us to wait and see if Bill shows up?"

She shakes her head, "You can but I have to go."

Rick looks at her, "We'll drive you home."

She shakes her head, "No. I don't want the kids to see me like this. I just need sometime to think I'll call you."

Ed sighs, "Are you sure?"

She hugs him, "Yes thank you."

Michelle leaves.

Ed and Rick go downstairs to clean up.

Outside the mysterious woman who was talking to Gus is watching.

She can tell the wedding won't be happening today and she leaves.

Later Bill pulls up in his car.

He just dropped Emma off at home.

He runs into the church.

It is completely empty now.

He shouts, "Michelle!?! No! Michelle!"

Bill missed his wedding completely.

He is to late.
