On the newest season of Point Palace, more faces join the campus as permanent cast members and supporting characters. Ex-Neighbours star and Australian singer Holly Valance stars as Alicia Amberson but she will not be alone. Alicia's character has an on screen boyfriend named Jace Broyeu played by film star Matthew Lawrence. Executive Producer Matt Politylo comments on the new couple:

"Jace and Alicia are actually based on something that happened to me when I was in college. Expect there to be a love triangle with another character that will have wicked results."

Two new females join the canvas as well. Heard from the lips of the other Snaldry sibling, The Bold and The Beautiful star Lesli Kay will be coming on as John's (Ryan Gaus) diva sister Marissa Snaldry who makes sure to get involved in all aspects of her brother's life. The other female star is Passions’s Danica Stewart. Stewart's character, Marli Calloway, has a mysterious past and will be a love interest to a main character. Originally General Hospital star Julie Behrman was rumored to have the part.

Past faces have returned. As previously reported, Bryan Daniels's (James Franco) contract with the show has been upgraded. Bryan will be a permanent fixture in Season 5 and with that will be going after control of the school just like before. Sarah Lancaster returns to double duty when her dead character Lenvy Elliot comes back as an inspirational ghost figure to visit Will Pazner (Jim Carnicela). Lancaster is happy to play the teen angel again but was quoted with saying that Carrie will be seen more than Lenvy.

Departing cast members include Owen Newlan (Matt DiAngelo) and Alexia Newlan (Nectar Rose). Both characters were written off but could be seen for some school visits along the way. After all, Alexia is an amazing party planner. Mika Tomukuzai’s (Joy Bisco) character has also vanished in the darkness only because Mika was pinned for just one season. Tanisha Jones (Davetta Sherwood) will stay on but only as a supporting character.

The new season will bring new cliffhangers, new couples, and all new mysteries. Check it out when Point Palace premieres on Tuesday January 14th.

Another Snardly Great I love it. I love LK. Hope we get to see Guy more as well. I hope we still see Ginny in season 5.

I kinda liked Owen but Alexia I'm cool so she won't be missed on my part. It seems the writing is on the wall for Devetta but u are a man of surprises. So happy Bryan is back. And also glad to see Lenvy coming back.

Can't wait till the new season begins. Will we find out what some of these folks are going to college for?

Besides wanting to hook up, kill each other, gain money and control some of them actually do have certain degrees. Here were the obvious ones and the more I think about it, you will see a lot of their careers showcase in Season 5.

Blake- Communications Major turned School President (His career changed since Season 1)

Dylan- Political Science (Led him to be Vice President on the Executive Board)

John- Journalism Photography (How he met Alley was through taking her photos when she was with Will.)

Ava- Psychology (Which is what drove her to James)

Alexia- Interior Design (An amazing party planner)

Tanisha- Interior Design (Met Alexia in Class)

Carlos- Pre-Med Student (Turned Soap Opera Actor/Film Major)

Nate- Though he's not a student, he's into Computer Technology (I think that was briefly discussed but it's always been something I wanted to elaborate on.)

Leon- Journalism (Big Wig Editor of the Point Palace Inquiry)

Owen- Culinary Arts & Business Management (He always wanted to open up his own restaurant)

Other college degrees for characters which might not have been explored or have been toyed around with:

Carrie- English Lit Major (Used to write poetry and love notes to Dylan in previous seasons)

Sky- Relationship Psychology (Gender is a big thing with her)

Jenny- Criminal Justice (Loves mysteries)

Mika- Philosophy Major (Though she went to a different school of training)

Will- Business Management (Always doing some sort of dirty work)

London- Nursing (Likes to take care of people and herself)

Ginny- Business Management (This is something we might see in Season 5)

You guys have been speaking my mind. SONOP's featured hottest plots and comings/goings are all featured in the monthly SON Insider that I film.

After a lot of thought I decided to air two episodes a week because if I aired three then the season would be done in 8 weeks, compared to 16 weeks. It was so much easier with the previous seasons since I already had them written. Season 5 is being written as we speak. So far there's about two weeks done. Which is a good thing and I hope to not get lazy.

It's going to be very intersting to see these episodes written live this time. Good luck Matt. Hope you can keep it up. 2wo shows a week should be easy enough. I am able to maintain my three and I got a week and a half down, so will see how it goes. LIS is taking a lot of my time too. But at any rate come on Jan 14
