GET SB BACK ON TV!!!!

(EXT: New York City, NY)

---Ted opens up the door to his hotel room and throws his briefcase down on the table. He sees that the red light on his phone is blinking and calls the front desk to check his messages. The clerk informs him that his wife called and a Laken Lockridge had called as well. She gives him the phone number that Laken left. He hangs up the phone and looks at his cell phone and contemplates. Finally he begins dialing and the line begins ringing.

"Hello?" Laken says, picking up her cell phone.

"Laken Hi! Good to hear from you..."

Laken tells him that her brother told her that he was in town so she decided to call him. She figured he'd be staying at the Waldorf, as he always does when he visits New York. She asks him if he has any plans for the evening and he admits he was planning on having a late dinner in the room. She offers to take him out to a restaurant she knows of in Manhattan. He agrees and tells her to come by his room and they'll go from there. They hang up and Ted smiles, thinking of her impending arrival.

(EXT: West Palm Beach, Florida)

---Mary walks into the hotel restaurant and sees Mason, sitting alone in a corner table. She walks up to him, as he sits with a drink in front of him, his head in his hand.

"Mind if I sit down?" she inquires.

"No, of course, by all means....."

"I'm sorry about what happened tonight....."

"You have nothing to be sorry for, Mary. This was all Mark- you had no idea you were that far along- who knows- he may have even known from the beginning, paid your doctor to tell you the wrong due date....... I swear to you, Mary, when we get a hold of him, I'm gonna make him pay......after what he did to you.....'

"Mason, please don't go doing anything foolish on my account...."

"Oh don't worry, it's plenty selfish. I was accused of his murder and all the while he's been alive and well. Actually, there's a lot of things our old friend Mark needs to clear up- like who's bones were they that we found all those years ago?"

Mary says she has no idea, that Mark kept her completely in the dark about all of that. Mary tells Mason that it isn't good to harbor all of the rage and anger he feels toward Mark. Mason cannot fathom how Mary couldn't have as strong a hatred for him as he and she reminds him that he did save her life.

"Which is more than you can say for me I guess....."

"Oh, Mason, that's not your fault. How were you to know..?"

"That's just it, I should have known Mary. I should have known that something wasn't right, that you didn't really die. I was so busy feeling sorry for myself that I didn't take the time to investigate, even a little. That's something I'll regret now, for the rest of my life."

Mary tells Mason that they ought to get upstairs and go to sleep, since they'll want to be rested for the flight tomorrow. Mason tells her to go on ahead, that he'll like to be alone for a little while. She agrees and heads upstairs, kissing him good-night on his cheek. The camera zooms in on Mason, as he sucks down his entire glass of whiskey.

(EXT: Sherri's Apartment)

----Sherri arrives home and finds Mark waiting on the couch for her.

"I thought you were never going to get here. How did it go? I got worried when you didn't come back for so long...."

"Everything went fine, Mark."

"You told them everything we discussed?"

"Yes, just as you asked..."

"Perfect. With any luck, they'll be back in Santa Barbara by tomorrow afternoon."

"I really don't understand why you're doing this to her. Mason, I can understand- you hate him and I see why. The feeling is obviously mutual. But Mary, she's........ well she's the salt of the earth, no question. Why would you put her through this?"

Mark explains that he feels Mary has been throught more than enough in her lifetime and the last thing she needs to know is that her child is alive and well. He insists that she's better off, saying that the baby would only serve as a constant reminder of what she lost when she was in her coma. He tells Sherri to trust him and questions whether she's having second thoughts or if she might have purposely slipped something to Mary.

"I wouldn't do that Mark- but she's such a sweet lady and we fought so hard to keep them alive. Don't you think she deserves to know that her baby didn't die?"

Mark looks at her, disgusted, and repeats his wishes, warning her not to tell Mary a thing.

(EXT: New York City, NY)

---Ted showers and thinks about making love to Angela in the shower once upon a time. He is able to here a knock at the door, so he throws on his bathrobe and heads out, inviting Laken into his room. He tells her he was just showering and is going to finish, but tells her to make herself comfortable.

FLASH TO

---Angela, sitting at her desk at Capwell Enterprises. She flashes back to the argument she got into earlier in the day with Lily. She then comes back to the present, staring at her cell phone. She picks it up and begins to dial.

FLASH TO

The hotel room, where Ted's phone is sitting on the nightstand, set to silent. The camera zooms in on the display screen, which comes up with Angela's number as it begins to flash. Meanwhile, Laken sits watching TV, minding her own business.

FLASH TO

Angela, frustratingly hanging up the phone. She then gets an idea and phones the Waldorf. She asks them if they could please buzz Ted Capwell's room.

FLASH TO

Laken, being distracted by the phone ringing in the middle of the room. She calls for Ted but he's unable to hear her. She walks across the room to answer the call.

"Hello?"

The screen splits, as Angela sits stunned that Laken just picked up the phone.

"HELLO?!?" Laken asks again.

Angela slowly lowers the phone back onto its ringer. Her disappointment with Ted shows in her eyes, as she squints and fills up with tears.

THE END ................. for TODAY!!!!

Just when you think it is going to be a near miss with the phone, Angela's determination connects her with Laken. I love it!!!! As for Mary, I don't think she will have any kind words to say about Mark when she finds out he cheated her out of years with her child. Wonder who he got to raise that baby while he was "busy" saving Mary's life. I sure hope he and Kirk don't know each other. For that matter, I hope Mark and Dr McCreepy don't know each other. Another great episode and I can't wait until tomorrow.
